Hotel Chelsea in Miami Beach

Our stay has been great amidst a hurricane we have felt safe and great. Josh checked us in and made us feel at home we have stayed at south beach group hotels for nearing 100 nights and this is one of our favorites! Especially after receiving such great service 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!Only thing that I would change is the shower not getting hot could be the hurricane or user error.

I have been coming to South Beach for 20+ years and have stayed in many of the hotels on the beach and thought I had experienced the max on great customer service & hospitality but that all changed when I checked in at Hotel Chelsea in March 2022. Josh was the front desk concierge and he was so accommodating and friendly and exceeded my expectations. Josh gave me suggestions of the best local bars and hot spots…and he even offered to help with my luggage. The room was clean and charming and… loved the restaurant too. Delicious Mojitos!!

The trip was amazing. Elsa in housekeeping cleaned our room phenomenally and was so kind to do it earlier than expected so we could check in early. Adaritza at the front desk was so helpful and kind. I really appreciated her help.

Loved this place, the staff is phenomenal here 👏. I was looking for a place on South Beach and this place not only has location, but also has comfortable rooms. Camila was very helpful, I had left behind my sunglasses and she gave them right back to me. Carlos was a gentleman and advised that I might have left something behind. Definitely would consider coming back on my next stay on South Beach. The rooms were clean, beds are comfortable and cleaning crew were also excellent. I definitely recommend staying here if youre looking for value/comfort/location and great staff!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!! When I arrived to check into my room I was told my reservation was canceled. However I never received any notification of the cancellation. Also the person at the front desk was extremely rude. After telling me my reservation was canceled he disappeared for over an hour and didn’t help me. I never received a refund for this “canceled” reservation. When I reached out for a refund I was told they weren’t going to refund my money and they stop being responsive after that. I feel scammed! I never got to use the reservation yet I still was charged and they refuse to give me my money back.

AVOID THIS LOUD HOTEL IF YOU WANT SLEEP AND A CLEAN ROOM! The hotel is very loud “all night long”. Guests are loud in the hallways. The building has EXTREMELY thin walls and ceilings. You hear everything. There is black mold in the showers. Ants around the sinks. Guests check in at 2 am and stomp around and the very thin wood floors do not stop the noise from one floor to another. I was here on work and will not be returning. The staff did nothing to help or rectify this on going problem!

The environment is beautiful, music food and entertainment. The customer service is spectacular and the team has been very pleasant. Guillermo has been nothing short of amazing. Very informative and attentive to my needs! Keep it up!

I had a great time staying here in Miami this past week. Lovely little boutique hotel with a great Cuban restaurant in the front. I would however like to add one thing that made my stay exceptional. The attention to detail of Julia & Carlos! They were beyond exceptional in regards to getting me checked in smoothly but more importantly finding me a room quickly bc I showed up a little early after an exhausting flight to even recommendations on where to go, what to do, etc. Thank you Julia! Thank you Carlos!

My sister and I came down for our birthday. The staff here is very attentive to our needs and very helpful. It was very convenient to get food and drinks since there is a restaurant/bar within the hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. I will definitely stay here again for my next trip to Miami. Carlos, the front desk assistant was extremely pleasant and kind. The bartender/server Marcos was very kind and extremely handsome.😍 thanks for the stay Hotel Chelsea.

The only good thing about this hotel was the location. They do not store luggage. The staff and management were horrible and rude. The rooms look like they were cheaply updated. The bathroom floor was always wet because water would come out of the shower. Would not recommend

When we went to check in and the front desk completely ignored me while he fought on the phone with another customer. He then told me that I needed to keep the room card separate from everything else 🫤 needless to say, the card never worked and every time we needed to get into our room, we had to get a new card. Room was freezing with no way to fix the AC, but clean. Restaurant food was terrible and so was the service. We wanted to leave our bags at the hotel so we could walk around on the beach before our flight — I asked The front desk to hold our bags and he just looked at us and said “we don’t do that we don’t have room, please check out and take your stuff” and didn’t even look up — it was extremely rude and offered not suggestions nor cared. We won’t be staying here again.

STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. (IMPORTANT)This hotel was absolutely disgusting. One of the worst stays of my life. Where do I begin? BROKEN WINDOWS that keep you unsafe to LEAKY TOILETS absolutely disgusting. A tub that you cant use because it has MILDEW and they dont wash anything.The service was atrocious. Completely incompetent front desk; they gave me a number to call that doesnt work and it looks like thats what they do to everybody. They will completely frustrate you for the simplest tasks. They will wrongfully charge your card and you can never reach them because they cut off all lines of communication. They do not care who stays there. Its all about their money and thats it. I would say RUN, SAVE YOUR MONEY. NOBODY SHOULD EVER STAY HERE.

Yes, I honestly dont write any reviews at all. but this Hotel was perfect. I was little concerned for all the negative reviews. But i went for it base on the location and how close it was for everything. My flight was an early AM and arrived to Chelsea Hotel before check in time, chubby guy was not very helpful, not very friendly and unprofessional, did not let me explained the flight situation, everything was booked have to wait at 3:00pm to check In. i was aware of it, but try to see if i could of pay early check in. He even tell me to cancel my reservation. I told him why? no need to get into that. I understand and there is no choice this the Hotel I choose. Plus its a spring break will not take the chance of him telling me what to do. It was a birthday gift gateway weekend for my sister. It was 3 of us with my cousin ( girls Tripand he is not going to upset me or ruined it. Short story, We went to get few drinks and come back and stood all night outside on the empty restaurant at the same location waiting and waiting, Not kind enough to wait inside. Terrible.Well, he left and another guy CARLOS was in charge of the front desk- So sweet, made us feel so comfortable, professional and try to help Us in any kind, checking which room been check Out and letting Housekeeping aware to please get a room ready for Us. (We were able to pay an early check inAlways greeting Us, and very attentive to every details we need. The restaurant at the same location Cubana Vieja another hit to our stay, great food, and drinks, attentive servers and make my sister birthday morning so special singing and with a nice tres leche cake with sparking candle. It was perfect. You wont regret staying here, El lugar perfecto que necesitas in Miami - :and the beds you dont feel you are sleeping, its like a spa. LOL honestly very comfy and pillows too.Another Hit, they are also part of other sisters hotel around the areas with complimentary HAPPY HOUR for a whole hour FREE!! Yes Free, the best every single day. 6pm to 7pm.

My wife and I came here just to get away for 2 days and this place is just so awesome. Right by the beach and the food in the restaurant was amazing, especially since its right outside of our hotel room. The room was really spacious and I really enjoyed having two shower heads in the bathroom. Definitely coming back here and Definitely staying more than one night.
