MoreBoutique hotel the way it is should be :)Do not expect an international standardized hotel...No direct access by car /bus/taxi to the hotel, no parking facilities in the direct surroundings, limited accessibility for wheelchairs...but must recommend the Casa 1800 as it is conveniently located in Granada city center & has all the charm you could ever wish for.Friendly staff & reasonable priced. Will definitely return when revisiting Granada.
MoreBeautiful rooms+ perfect location, near our favourite tapas bars like Los Manueles and Los diamantos+ free flow water and tea and coffee+ free tea time from 430-630pm+ Super great service and staff- shower bathroom in room 10 was a big leaky as the door could not close completely!Date of stay: June 2022
MoreWorst possible room: Number 1. This room shouldnt be a guess room, should be a storage deposit. Lots of noise, below street level, dirty... Be careful what roomthe hotel assignees you.
MoreWonderful Granada hotel. Room was elegantly decorated and spotlessly clean. The entire staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. A lovely afternoon tea was served daily. Definitely the place to stay while visiting Granada.
MoreWell locatedFriendly staff but not that knowledgeable. The photos arre better than roomsNo parkingHard to take your luggages with you in the stone alleys to get there
MoreClean and comfortable hotel, booked through hoteltonight.Com. Attentive staff, good recommendations for local places.
MoreVery nice hotel close to Alhambra, withing walking distance (mostly through a quiet park).A traditional old courtyard house. We had the one room with a balcony overlooking the AlhambraThe hotel feels a little in need of some touching up, and while I would not call this a luxury hotel, it certainly was comfortable and the view from the patio was amazing
MoreIt was my second visit to this charming hotel and after years, the same very clean with lovely staff.
MorePlease be aware, the farther you book from the date of stay the more expensive the stay will be. The room we booked had a terrace and partial Alhambra views. The room was sufficient, but the heater was outdated and barely kept the room warm. The bathroom was nice but water easily splashed out of the tub.
MoreVery charming historic hotel - great service, very well decorated rooms and large breakfast with fresh fruits. Also location makes your trip in Grenada very easy
MoreCharming historic hotel in the center of Granada- the location is perfect for seeing all the sites. The courtyard is lovely and the hotel offers complimentary waters/ beverages all day which we really appreciated. The room was very clean with a nice ambiance. Our only complaint would be the bed was a little uncomfortable & the pillows could be more fluffy. But for the location and price, you can’t beat it!
MoreGreat location, very helpful and friendly approachable staff, Enjoyed our breakfast.Spotlessly clean, complementary teas, coffee, fruit juice and water.Nice touch having afternoon tea included served between 16.30 & 18.30.
MoreProbably the best hotel I’ve ever been to 😍 Perfectly situated in the old part of Granada! It’s very convenient to get to Alhambra! Just need to go up the hill! Also perfect to go for a walk to the moorish quarter! The staff is absolutely amazing in the hotel. Extremely helpful and professional, speaking great English! The hotel offers complimentary tea/coffee with pastries and sandwiches everyday in the afternoon. Even though we stayed only for one night we were offered to enjoy the complimentary drinks and snacks on both the day of the arrival AND the next day when picking up our suitcases from the hotel!! It makes the stay feel even more special and you do feel like home! They also gave us great recommendations for restaurants and tapas bar! Really hope I will come back one day 🤩
MoreNice building with patio where you can have breakfast or just rest. Everything was just fine. Dont try to reach the hotel by car (as they advice themselfs already), that wasnt our best decision and took us one hour to get to the parking spot they advice. Reduction in that spot, but still expensive to park on Granada.
MoreThe hotel room had black MOLD in the shower that made the room smell horribly! The hotel acknowledged the problem but refused to refund for the stay. See attached photos.
MoreAn absolute must stay here again. Had a view of the Alhambra from the room. The area is exactly the experience u want in the old town and the hotel is very clean and historical. The staff was amazing so 5 stars and I will be back from me.
MoreThe location was great, the room was ok,, the AC unit didnt cool much but otherwise no issues,, it is a very nice boutique hotel. The reason I am giving them 1 star is because they canceled my reservation due to Covid-19 and then refused to refund my money. They offered me a hotel credit only valid for 1 year from my original booking date. They made the credit as difficult to use as possible with 20 emails back and forth plus a phone call to rebook. They refused to refund the difference between the new booking and the old. Their web site offered full credit with free cancellation which they refused to honor. So my advice is DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY IN ADVANCE YOU WILL NOT GET IT BACK. Pay when you arrive.
MoreMy girlfriend and me stayed here for only one night during our trip in Andalucia. It was perfect, the staff, the location and the accomodation itself . The personel was very friendly, helpful and professional. Even though we forgot our creditcards, the staff helped us to sort out our stay without problems. The room was perfect (very good and clean bedsand we had a view on the magnificient Alahambra site. I would definatly recommend this place!
MoreIt was OK, but some details made it miss the mark. The A/C was old and did not cool evenly. The soap and shampoo felt and smelled cheap. The body lotion was almost water consistency, not good. The TV didnt work properly, we reported it but it never got repaired. The shower is not designed for tall people and the glass door does not close all the way, all the water splashes into the bathroom floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The price was affordable though.
MoreFantastic hotel tucked away in the old quarter of Grenada. Beautiful courtyard very peaceful after a day of touring Alhambra. Close to the cathedral, the Arab market and the views from Saint Nicolas.
MoreGreat value for money. Central location, clean, bright and great staff. Breakfast was great and I had a great big room, no external window but one that looked into the internal hallway. Not an issue for just a couple of nights. Highly recommend.
MoreGreat boutique hotel. Loved the location, the room, and the little courtyard. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
MoreWe stayed at 1800 Hotel Granada for 2 nights. The hotel was pretty easy to find, and although it is a little tucked away from tourist central, it was only about a 5 min walk to the closest square. Staff were friendly and attentive, and offered restaurant suggestions upon our request. The hotel itself is nicely decorated, and charming in a quaint sort of way. There’s a nice courtyard in the hotel where breakfast and complimentary afternoon tea are served daily. We didn’t choose to partake in either option (the food didn’t look the most aesthetically pleasing), but the other hotel guests seemed to love the afternoon tea! We booked a suite, and though the room was spacious and clean, there are decor elements that perhaps might be too dated for some guests (myself included). For instance, the bed frame is a bit dated, and the mattress itself was a little bit stiff. Overall, it was a completely satisfactory stay, and probably one of the nicer boutique options in Granada.
MoreA very nice hotel but shortcomings. Not with the facility itself or working staff but with the management. A number of (sleepingpatrons were rudely awakened one night to loud and noisey guests who returned late from an evening out. They sat in the living room and carried on long enough that other guests started yelling out at them from their rooms. Management did not act to disperse or quiet them. It was a point of discussion among patrons the following morning at breakfast. Also, the breakfast buffet was adequate but there was only one staff working to maintain the buffet, take orders for the kitchen, bust, clean, and re-set tables. She was overwhelmed, it was too much for one person. Management needs to pay more attention to operations.
MoreLoved this place. It’s like a beautiful oasis in the heart of old town Granada. Very elegant and homely. The staff are lovely and we were very comfortable here. A must stay when you are in Granada.
MoreThe hotel is a restored 16 century building based in the heart of the old Arab quarter of Albayzín in Granada in close proximity of the famed Alhambra complex. We had a good time staying at Casa 1800. The staff especially was really helpful and welcoming.Victoria at the front desk, called us within 30 mins of check-in to find out if everything was fine. We requested for a room change, though the hotel was completely booked they were able to move things around for us and move us.
MoreThe atmosphere here is awesome. Its right in the heart of the city. Walkable distance to all shops and sites, including the Alhambra Palace. Staying in hotel is another wonderful choice. The mountain view from high floors, the slow time in the dining courtyard, and just almost everything else.
MoreThis was the best hotel we stayed at in our trip so far. I loved how they had a free cafe with drinks and snacks. It was perfect before a siesta. The room and bathroom are both very nice my only complaint is that the front door doesnt keep the sound out at all. We stayed right above the cafe and there was no chance of sleeping once the cafe opened. It felt like we were in the kitchen with all the sounds of clanging dishes.
MoreThis is a quaint Hotel with a rustic, vintage look. Extremely clean. Breakfast and evening tea was included. Its in close proximity to Alhambra, restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. One of the couple in the group had a slight issue with their room after checking in, the next morning it was taken care off. I highly recommend this place.
MoreThis hotel was so beautiful! Although the rooms were nice, ours was small. But we spent the day exploring the city so there was no reason to have a larger room. Walking distance to so many things in Granada. The concierge service and breakfast were outstanding. The service was second to none and the breakfast buffet had a large selection and everything was kept well stocked. They also had free beverages available all day, considering water frequently costs a euro or two this was greatly appreciated and saved us time and money. They have a noon checkout and bag check as well, and speak many languages. Only complaint is walls were a little thin, but again if you are out during the day this isnt an issue. All around amazing.
MoreIf I could give this hotel zero stars I would. Do NOT stay here. We reserved months in advance and when we arrived our room was a sauna. We asked about the temperature and were assured the air would work..upon our return from a tapas tour (five hours laterthe room was even hotter. The hotel staff insisted they were full, would not refund us for the night, nor would they book us a room at a nearby hotel.
MoreVery nice staff. Old hotel with upgrades. No lift to our floor, so be prepared to lug suitcases up cobbled passages and stairs. Wonderful breakfast and afternoon teatime.
MoreGreat little hotel!! Some issues with maintenance, but other than that highly recommend it. We had a room with spectacular Alhambra views. Awesome deco.
MoreThis hotel is located a few blocks up a steep cobblestone street you must walk up. We checked in and were directed to our room. Up a few more steps in the hotel we got to where we were told the room was to find 2 mote flights of stairs to carry our luggage up. The room had no view. The only window opened into a covered interior courtyard. While somewhat disappointed by the room, the idea of moving our bags up and down the stairs stopped us from asking for another room. We went for a walk and had a great dinner at a restaurant the hotel told us we would not be able to get into. That was very lucky as it was small and heavily booked. No other walk ins got a table. When we got back to the room ready for a good nights sleep were pulled back the sheets and there was a 6 inch tear in the bottom sheet with the mattress visible. It was late and I put a towel over it and thought tomorrow they are gonna need to fix this. A few hours later the clatter of dishes began. It was rather disturbing. Then voices of people having breakfast. The courtyard was full of other guests beginning their day. Maybe from 7 or 8am it was a real disturbance. At 10am when we went for the breakfast we found very limited options. We had been told it was served until 11am. Compared to other places we stayed on our trip it was the worst breakfast options. We finished our coffee and decided to check out early. We spoke with the manager who told they would not contest the early check out (but they are). We booked another hotel, brought our bags down the 2 flights of stairs, down the cobblestone streets to the square and got a taxi. Im glad we left early as it resulted in a much better experience of Grenada.
MoreWe had a very bad experience at this hotel. We had booked a junior suite for 3 days in May. When we arrived, the front desk person did the paperwork in a perfunctory way, and then walked us into the courtyard and said your room is here. Turned out that the room was actually 2 flights up (probably why she didnt walk with us), and we were carrying bags. The room itself was decent size and the decor was fine. The room had no natural light. There was a window onto the internal courtyard but the canopy over the courtyard was closed. We discovered when we went to sleep that the bottom sheet had a big tear. The bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were terrible. The next morning at 7, the noise from people having breakfast started (breakfast is served in the courtyard). We went down to breakfast at 10 (served till 11), and they were out of eggs, the bread was stale and the coffee was a Keurig-really poor. We decided to leave 2 nights early, and the hotel refused to refund the other two nights (great customer service). We went to the Hospes de los patos, and very glad we did- it was a beautiful hotel with wonderful service. Casa 1800 was by far the worst hotel experience we had during our 17 days in Spain.
MoreGreat hotel in the old part of Granada, not easily accessible with a car, best to park where the hotel suggests and take a taxi or 10 mins walk. Quirky rooms, all different but well appointed. We love it.
MoreThere were lots of lovely elements of the stay. I really loved the facilities in the room and the cleanliness, as well as the overall quality of the hotel (the free afternoon tea is a nice touch and the public spaces are lovelyand the helpful and friendly staff. However, I have some concerns about the standard rooms. I expected that given the overall quality of the hotel even the standard rooms would be pleasant spaces to stay, but both the initial room I was placed in (Room 1and the room I was moved to when I said I was unhappy with being right next to the door to the street (Room 4opened directly on to public spaces and were noisy and dark.Standard implies a perfectly acceptable quality of room and I dont entirely think this is the case. I would recommend the hotel to others but would urge them to book a much more expensive room, which seems a shame.
MoreLoved our stay, the Hotel is absolutely gorgeous: beautifully appointed rooms and luxurious bathrooms. Room 23 has a view towards the Alhambra and lots of room. Breakfast is complete and great fuel for a day of exploring. Also afternoon tea will recharge you for an evening of more exploring!.
MoreVery good hotel.-1 star for: During winter time only central heating so for us it was a bit too warm in the room. We had our windows to the inner courtyard so it can be noisy depending on the other guests. In general it is poorly soundproofed. Hotel was fully booked.Breakfast was very good. The atmosphere and location in the city are amazing.Definitely a recommendation but try to get a room without connection to the inner courtyard.
MoreThe location is fantastic, but to reach is quite a convuluted route of parking in a public car park 10mins away, getting a taxi to plaza nueva & finally walking the last couple of hundred yards to the hotel. Room was small and imposing with dated decor. The shower leaked over the bathroom floor each time you showered. Water (sin & con gasis free in the room and the lounge area provides free fizzy drinks and coffees. Breakfast is expensive @€12 ea compared to whats available off the square . The staff did go out of there way to be helpful to meet our needs.
MoreExcellent hotel! The rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is small, but has everything you need. It is quaint and cosy, the atmosphere is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful. Finally, the location is great, very central to all the things you would want to visit in Granada, yet it is located in a small and quiet street (not accessible by cars, so very little noise).
MoreBeautiful architecture, you will love the rooms and the internal patio. Its quite and you will sleep like never before on the awesome beds they have. It used to be an old cuartel de la Guardia civil and its located perfectly next to paseo de Los tristes in the lower albaicin
MoreWe had a fantastic stay at Casa 1800 Granada! The location is in the old muslim quarter of the city, Albaicin, in close proximity to a range of tapas bars and within 15 minutes walk from the Alhambra. Very helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
MoreBeware of heartless hotelMy wife, daughter, and I planned a trip to Amsterdam, Madrid, and Seville months ago. We made a reservation at the Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla on and planned to arrive on May 5, 2017 and depart on May 10th. We paid in full for 2 rooms and the charge was high because part of that time was during “an Extra Season.” Unfortunately our young daughter became very sick prior to our departure and we were forced to cancel our entire trip. We notified Hotel Casa 1800 on April 23, 2017, two weeks prior to our arrival, that we would not be able to travel due to our daughter’s illness, and we provided a physician’s note to document that our daughter was too ill to travel. The hotel management initially told us that we would have to forfeit our entire deposit, but after exhorting them to be understanding of our plight, they agreed to refund only our daughter’s portion of the deposit, stating that we, the parents, could travel. We responded that our daughter is young and that we would not be able to travel to Spain while leaving her ill in bed. Furthermore, when we inquired about the hotel’s vacancies, we learned that the hotel was fully booked during the time that we were to be there. Therefore, the hotel is, in essence, double billing for the room. I again pleaded with the management of the hotel, but to no avail. Basically their attitude was “Too bad. We have your money and you have no options.” This action on the part of the hotel speaks volumes about the hotel, its values, its ethical concerns, and its greed. Beware!!Epilogue" The hotel subsequently decided not to return any of our money!!
MoreLocated in the Albaicin, Casa 1800 was the perfect base for exploring Granada and the Alhambra. Clean, comfortable, and quiet, the hotels historic charm was an additional plus. The complimentary unlimited water and afternoon tea were appreciated, as well. My favorite part, though, was the view. Some rooms overlook the Alhambra -- an amazing way to wake up each morning :-)
MoreA small, tastefully decorated hotel, well located for the old town. The standard rooms, at least, only have windows to an internal courtyard, but the courtyard is a pleasant place to sit and the roof retracts fully to let in some air. Breakfast and (complimentarymerienda of meats, cheeses and pastries were enjoyable.
MoreWonderful location and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the most basic room which was small but very comfortable. Excellent breakfast and lovely open-air courtyard.
MoreA really good hotel - central location (close to Alhambra, etc), clean and friendly staff. The superior room was comfortable with a good size bathroom but small shower. Overall we would stay here again.
MoreWe stayed at Casa 1800 Granada for three nights in September. It has a lot of Old world atmosphere and is very well located in the center of town hidden down a narrow street. Our room was rather dark and small but well appointed and comfortable. The staff was excellent. The breakfast was OK but the serving area is poorly organized.
