I would like to give it a three staar rating because there are not so well to do facilities which a basic hotel must have. Namely, free wifi facility, good food and mainly the cleanliness.

Vintage Property. 15 years back this hotel was one of the best property in Assam.

20 yrs old hotel and inferiorly maintained.When i boarded, the intercom was not functioning, paints are peeling off from the wall, there are no lift and the address is incorrect., it is not in Ambicapatty, it ia in Tarapur. Sharing some pictures

Place must have been great at one time but now it is a shadow of its old self. Rather spooky with very little property maintenance being done.

Good place for staying. All the equipments and room assessories are vintage looking and in well conditions. There are bath tubs in bathroom. Youll get a free complimentary delicious break fast in morning. Overall services are good.

It was really a good hotel at starting days, but the shine of newness couldnt managed with times. Hotel room should be felt like 2nd home, only if it is maintained on everyday basis. In simple language its a big hotel in size as compared to any other hotel in Silchar but maintenance is not up to the mark.

Once it was known to be one of the finest hotel in silchar but day by day it’s becoming disaster!! Exterior nowadays looks horrible and most of the time its closed (under construction)

The review is about the restaurant and not the hotel.It is surprising that they are actually open to serve. The place is undoubtedly the most unmaintained hotel/restaurant I have ever seen in town.Theres practically no reception area, the interiors of the restaurant stink and can the pillars look like they will fall off any moment.The staff is great and ever-smiling but thats the onky good thing about it.The old cook is not there (saying by the taste of food these daysso thats yet another minus.It is really sad to see this place which was once nice, get wasted.I dont see myself going there again.

This property is not new but the staff is really very nice and heplful here. Rooms are far better and bigger than other hotels in Silchar. I visited many hotels nearby and only this hotel got big room otherwise all other hotels got small and smelly rooms. Do not expect 3 star hotel facilities in Silchar and this is the best one in town with in-house bar and restaurant.Room was decent with clean bed sheets and towels. Washroom is not upto the mark in any case but you cant get better than this in Silchar.

It is the oldest hotel in Silchar by seeing it looks good in old model it is about 1 to 2 km from Silchar railway station it is in Main Town

The restaurant might crash down any moment. The doors and the windows are infestated with mites. The old cook is long gone and so is their main dish- chicken steak sizzler. All other dishes are just average and the drinks are almost always out of stock. Beer options are limited to Kingfisher. Better to give it a miss

Awesome place. Have a good parking space. Service quality is pretty good. Food is hygienically prepared. But the hotel needs renovation.

Borail View , as the name suggests , provides an exceptional and comfortable view of central Silchar . Near to the hotel is Gandhi Park , which is also grand in its manner . And , then , theres the SBI Main Branch adjacent to it . The rooms are nice , and the food is #MindBlowing !

Like one said, building a thing is not hard, the hard part is able to maintain it. Its a very nice facility in terms of construction and location but very ill maintained. Though i have not personally stayed there but the feedback from my colleagues and relatives coming from outside is not very impressive. Though i have experienced their restaurant and bar service and i must admit that quality of service is not at all at par with the standards in hospitality industry. First of all the people are not at all professional. They simply don,t know how to deal with customers. Waiters are not at all friendly, especially to new customers. I felt like i m being outcasted in presence on their so called "Regular Customers". Bar area is too congested. Washrooms are untidy. But location wise its very well placed. Finding a conveyance to anywhere across the city is easy. I would really like to see this setup improve in terms of quality as it seems like the whole facility is being wasted in terms of its potential.

No doubt the place is clean, have a Gud parking area, the service quality is nice. Food is also hygienically prepared. But the Hotel looks old structure which needs renovation.

Worst hotel,something you even cant expect from the hotels of that price,Lifts are not working,genarators are not in working conditions (power cuts are very common in silchar,common in the sense guys like me and most of you from big cities even from cities like shillong,Guwahati etc cant even imagine and weather is extreamly warm during summer and humidity is something which will make you sweating within minutes after power cuts,so not having working genarator is the main reason why i gaven this hotel only 1 star)Room services are average,but foods are really good no sorry best better than all other restaurents i visited n silchar,room service staffs are well trained nice and helpfull something very similar to 5 star hotels but in the same time reception staffs are like they are favouring you by providing you the keys of your rooms,dont know who recruited them as a recptionist ,i can tell you trust me i was thinking that whole time during my stay n hotel that person who recruited them sure has have any personal issues whith hotel owner or owners otherwise there is nothing anyone can explain why they are chosen,the way i mentioned,you already understood what are you going to experince during your check in and now best of luck for your stay n silchar ,if you want my suggestion I will suggest you hotel kalpatoru room rates are half compare to borail view rooms are new and well mantained trust me rooms are like 3star hotel but rate of non AC rooms starts from ₹750 bathrooms of all rooms no matter AC or NONAC extreamly clean and big room service excellent hotel staffs are nice and friendly food price half compare to other hotels of that standard ,restaurent is aswwome you can spend some really good time its something i want to rate as a real 3 star hotel. . .

This is not a hotel now. It is a "khandar-haveli" now. The building is 18th century. No lift, no power backup, food is costlier than mumbai 3* hotels. Only good thing is the taste of the food. Nothing else.

Once we brought food home from their restaurant, and the food was not good -- to much of spice, no taste. And the restaurant attendents behaviour I didnt like.

First 3 star hotel of the town but now its condition is very bad. They didnt maintain this place well and it just goes by the name. But the food is really of good quality and tasty served in the restaurant.

Stayed here on 29th october and choose this hotel because of the parking space inside the hotel campus. The building is a very old govt building now used as hotel. Work still ongoing but dont think it will improve the hotel. The staff are ok. The room is small and not clean. Not worth the price. Food is average.

Rooms are not at all 3 star standard, bar is crowded and slow. Restaurant service is slow but food is good
