Avinguda Diagonal, 1, 08019 Barcelona, Spain, Barcelona
Steps from the Forum, this modern hotel is a 2-minute walk from the Centre de Convencions Internacional de Barcelona and 5.7 km from downtown.Rooms are furnished in a warm, streamlined fashion, and have flat-screen TVs, as well as complimentary minibars and Wi-Fi; some provide sea views. Upgraded rooms add balconies, while some suites feature quirky designer decor, smart TVs and whirlpool tubs. Room service is available. The hotel offers 2 Mediterranean restaurants, a lounge and a chic, colorful bar. Other amenities include a rooftop pool with sea views, spa treatments, and an exercise room, as well as event space for up to 250 guests.
A very average hotel and Ive no idea how they are considered four star. The whole place feels a little tired. The reception seems like an easyJet check-in desk. The rooftop pool is tiny and freezing. The room is bland without coffee making facilities. Cheap plastic furniture on the balcony.Theres nothing around the hotel thats worth doing either. A generic shopping mall with chain food outlets and other identikit hotels. Thats it.Its close to a tram and a metro stop though so consider that you will need to travel to see Barcelona... the hotel is clean at least.
Spotless clean, great sea view and rooftop view. Rooms are fansy and spacious, service is wonderfull. Near to metro station and groceries needed. All best recommendation.
The hotel is more or less a standard in its category. The rooms are clean and quiet. I liked the massage shower. Besides, they use the Rituals cosmetics that smell very nice. A big plus is the sunblind and non-alcoholic drinks in the minibar. But you can see that the hotel has its age and several things needs renovation/upgrade - e.g. televisions in rooms, some stuff in corridors. The staff was nice. Breakfasts were tasty but sometimes cold (eggs and sausages). The hotel is near to a beach, subway station, shopping mall and conference centre.
Not a couples hotel...We stayed here for a week. The hotel has lost its prime, and the interior is outdated. Riding the elevator takes ages, with only three offered for what must be hundreds of guests. The breakfast was okay, but the large amount of conference guests at the breakfast table was astonishing. We only experienced one day of blissful calm, with the other six mornings being very loud and obnoxious. Im guessing no one could really enjoy their mornings there. The staff also didnt really care about their customers wellbeing. This is most definitely not a four star hotel, and I will most definitely not return.
Got upgraded to a balcony room. Fantastic views. No kettle or ironing board however. Room clean but could do with a refurb.
The only good thing about the hotel is its location. We have had over 280 guests located there for 5 days and everyday I received complaints about how they were mistreated by the hotel staff. Rudeness as its high, and poor attention. Repeated calls to have room service, as they wouldn’t send up the order, annoying cards constantly not working. The staff must be very burnt out as they don’t care about their customers
More like a 3 star hotel…We didn‘t get a room with sea view although we booked a room with sea view. Our room was on the 4th floor so basically the lowest level. It‘s not possible to have sea view from this level so maybe the hotel should consider not calling the room on the 4th floor a „room with sea view“! We would get the same view if we had booked a room with city view (which is way cheapersummarized: we spent more money for a view we didn‘t even get.Wifi didn‘t work at all in our room. The staff gave me another wifi but it didn‘t work as well which was really annoying.
Hotel is quite old and runned down the shower head was falling apart, decoration and interiors are definitely from the 90s, staff was not very friendly. The pool area is quite small and only has 5 sunbeds for 363 rooms, so if youre planning to spend some time on the roof you need to get there at 7 am when they open to get a bed. Giving it 2 stars only because of the view, Overall i think there are way better places to stay in Barcelona.
Been here before and love the place.Really great location and the rooms are really nice with amazing views in every direction. We received amazing service and hospitality from nico at the bar downstairs and David at the bar upstairs.
I looked up the definition of 4 star hotel, yes technically this is one, but it definitely doesnt operate as one. Room, even though big, with comfy big beds and with nice view on Barcelona, has moldy ceiling, moldy tiles, toilet that doesnt stop running. Toilet was fixed on a second day after asking for a second time.Gym is 5 machines cramped in a glass room. 2 swimming pools are too small for amount of guests this hotel holds.Service is underwhelming, nothing is explained, in any hotel you are given information on where the facilities are, what time do those operate, here you are just given your keycard. I asked for a spoon, they dont know how to get you one.Location is very nice, 12 minutes walk to the beach, 3 minutes to the metro, that gets you to the city center and next to a nice mall.Parking is under the mall, €20 a day. If you dont mind a 9 minute walk, there is a parking garage 2 streets away, it said you can park for €9 a day(August 2022), google: parquing subterrani ccib &diagonal mar.Oh yeah, you have to wait forever for elevator.
Very good hotel. Amazing view of Barcelona. It’s in a good location. The breakfast is good and the bar is amazing. The pancakes where not the best. Karlos was very kind and friendly bar tender. Overall good hotel.
Plus: Rooms were adequate for a family of four. Beach was roughly 20 min walk. Nice view of the water. Nice mall right around the corner.Negative: Very large hotel with over 20 floors and only 3 elevators. Regardless of what time we tried to use them, there was always a long wait. Also, one had a constant leak coming from the ceiling which left a splash-worthy puddle on the elevator floor. Staff walked by and were not concerned. Wifi is more complicated to set up and use then it needs to be. Other hotels allow you to just connect. Here, you need to input a username and password. Only then can you TRY to use the internet....as long as your sitting in the right corner....facing the right direction. Otherwise, youre booted and have to try again.
This hotel is not matching my expectations for a 4 stars hotel:- this hotel has 26 floors but only 3 lifts (you have to wait around 5 min to get one sometimes)- the pools are really tiny : disappointing- The sauna is good but limited to 2 persons at a time- room cleaning is okay- we didn’t take breakfast but our friends did and they regretted it, seems not worth it- facilities around : tramway, L4 metro line, shopping mall
Excellent hotel. The staff is very friendly. Very helpful. The hotel has a great location. The rooms are neat and clean. The breakfast is classic. The view from the room where I stayed on the 26th floor is really fantastic. Regardless of the number of rooms, the elevators work great. Its a little crowded at breakfast time. The pools are clean and maintained. Maybe there should be more sunbeds available. The air conditioning works great. The subway, tram, and bus stations are in the immediate vicinity, 5 minutes walk. The beach is a 10-minute walk away. The shopping center is a few minutes walk away with a large number of restaurants and fast food. In the future, they should change the interior of the hotel rooms a bit, but that is already a matter of taste. The hotel is highly recommended.
Value for money.Amazing views. I think room with city Scape view is amazing than sea view if you love architecture. Great breakfast. Rahman Bhai at reception is great guy to help if you need suggestions.
Good hotel close to the beach and a mallGood services. Some rooms with a great view. I will be back
Really pretty nice staff in tha pretty nice hotel.Rich breakfast till 11:00 made my day 👍Clean, light, good looking, accommodation close to the beaches!
Staff were rude and unprofessional restaurant didnt have 80% of the listed items on the menu, breakfast was a waste of time as was much better to walk to the mall next door and have breakfast in the food court and lunch and dinner was very nice on the terrace of the shopping mall. My hotel room had the last person that stayed in the rooms socks in there and the hotel was not 4 star standards it was more suitable as a 3 star hotel
Rooms lost a star due to v small toilet and shower cubiclesLocation ok easy reach of the metroStaff were fabulous every need catered for
Wow - wonderful hotel, comfortable beds, incredible views and very convenient to the concert venue (which is why we chose this hotel). Easy to get to other locations - walk, taxi, metro all possible. Both pools were amazing. Cafe at one of the 3rd floor pool had great Hamburg!!!Loved laying in bed and watching the night skyline!!!
Nice Hotel, with a great Location. Amazing View and the Pool was nice on the Top.The beach not so far from there.I stayed here 3 nights, during the OffWeek Festival, and definietly worth it.The Staff was friendly as well. I would be back next year.
Well, they don’t have iron which is basic need if you staying in a hotel, the excuse is security reason, this is non sense, staff on reception is not very helping, so overall they need to meet the standards of 4 stars. Not recommend until they give 4 stars facilities
Facilities top notch, but no iron in the rooms.Location is great if you have a conference, not so great if you want to explore Barcalona
Its an ok hotel definitely should not be rated four stars. We stayed at another hotel this vacation that was also rated four stars and the difference in quality is a lot. Rooms do not have a window which opens which gives the rooms a musty smell. Its close to the beach but relatively far away from other things
We had an okay stay for 3 nights. The room was good size, the bathroom was good size, overall was clean and neat. The inclusion of outdoor patio was pleasant. We were a bit surprised and displeased at the lack of inclusion of an iron for clothes, and a kettle (nor any instant tea/coffee, complementary water bottle and small snackswhich we thought was standard for 4* hotels. The hairdryer was usable. The room was also more dimly lit than what we expected and would be comfortable with. Our stay we booked did not include meals so we cannot comment on food and restaurant service. They had 2 swimming pools which were fairly small and shallow, one at 0.85m and one at 1.25m, clean dry towels provided extra at the pools. The location was close to the beach (10 walkand a local L4 station (4 walkwhich runs fairly frequent.
It was a very dated room, I could see the vision they had, it just wasnt executed properly..I became scornful with a lot because it just didnt seem that clean. My biggest issue was the bathroom. It didnt seem THAT clean and the liquid soap looked like it hadnt been refilled in a long time. The staff however were very lovely and the location qas absolutely perfect.
After a long drive from switzerland, we arrived at the hotel and wanted to check in. At this point, we were extremly exhausted and just wanted to sleep in a bed. then the receptionist said, we were too late. I dont understand now, what is the meaning of a reservation???? I mean, we would‘ve paid for the days we booked, and we even had to deposit our credit card for the reservation. Now what is the meaning of this reservation??? Very bad, very unfriendly people!!!! Then they also craved for another deposit of 600 EUR!!! Never again.
The likes: Great location if you want to stay by the beach, really nice sea view. Breakfast was very good, not a very wide variety but very good and healthy food. Bed was very comfy and the room overall is quite nice. Actually the hotel exceeded our expectations, we were a bit worried after reading some of the other recent reviews, but we will choose this hotel again. Some minuses: The hotel clearly is a bit worn out. Fridge was not working, but that was OK for us. Sometimes, especially in the weekend, the waiting time for the elevators can be quite high, more than 5 minutes.
This is a great hotel to stay near the convention centre. The bathroom and rooms are too small for 2 people to stay. Check before you go!Otherwise the accessibility to metro station, tram station and mall is great. Location is very near to the beach which makes it even better.
We spent 7 days at the property and most went without incident. One night came in around 10:30 pm and asked the restaurant in the lobby for coffee and dessert to go they said dessert could not be prepared to go but we could call room service or they could order for us we agreed. When arriving at the room phone rings a woman is screaming that that particular dessert is not available and hung up. Within 30sec she called back and asked if there was something else I wanted instead my answer was no. The next day we went out and upon our return found the room was clean but the wet towels from the floor where just hanging and not replaced. We still had a good time in Barcelona but will not be recommending this particular hotel, for the price need better attitude is expected from staff.
Needs renovation. Clean room, old furniture. Reception service not friendly. If you go by car first stop near the entrance, go to the reception, pay for thr parking, take the ticket go round the hotel and into the parking place. Smile :)
It’s a nice hotel to stay with one of the highest pools in Barcelona. It is a true experience to use the elevators with windows until level 23. service is usually good and so is the staff. Food at the fool is really nice. Rooms are okay. The location of the hotel is not really close to the Center but if you combine it with a nice walk you enjoy this walk by the sea.
hotel card keys were not working every day had to go reception multiple times to then be told to calm down even doh i didnt raise my voice one time or be disrespectful the windows in the rooms have the handles snapped of so u cant open the balcony window we had a sea view room that was absolutely stunning cleaning staff were lovely the bar staff on floor three such nice ppl the bar staff on the ground floor are thieves and so horrible and disrespectful they charged €53 for one pint of estrella one Malibu and sprite and four shots of jager then when i was in the shower my mrs went for chips just a regular bowl of chips and she was charged €16 .but up stairs on bar 3 the same five drinks come to €30 after tip just saying also if ur english most of them in Catalonia hate us dont no why that is but it is what it is . and its built right by sewage works as all you can smell there is human waste the further you walk away from the hotel into barcelona the smell does go
I didnt like how one of the reception staff were cold and impatient. Except that everything was good. The location is not the best if you want to see the Barcelona attractions but anyway it is easy to get anywhere from here so not a big problem. The rooftop pool is small but heated and there is towels available for use which is convenient specially in colder seasons.
Hotel was absolutely amazing, great location. The staff were very attentive and helpful especially Gabriel from the restaurant ans Anna at the reception.Would highly recommend this Hotel
It was Okay at best really. The hotels room is clean and spacious and the food from the breakfast buffet was good if you got there early otherwise its cold.I would recommend you bring your own travel iron as they charge you for any ironing in the hotel, which I found outrageous. They also dont have tea or coffee in your room for a morning pick up.Its pretty local with a taxi journey to anything but there are probably better hotels in the location. On the whole I wouldnt stay here again.
Certainly have comfy bed & pillow, we get room with city view in 21 floor, just fyi swimming pool open from 7 am til 7 pm. Would be perfect if they could provide kettle, sachet of tea, coffee & two cup so we can enjoy the view while having a cup of tea in the room.
The only good this about this hotel is the view from the lift. It is not a 4 star hotel by ANY means. I stayed at the Negressco Princess which is in the same chain which is a 4 star. This hotel has no iron or kettle. I had had an event to attend and was unable to iron my outfit. I was told o should pay in the morning to use the laundry service! pretty useless as I needed the clothes that evening. The room pictures are very deceptive. The pools are very small with only 4 sun Loungers around each! The gym is TINY and very old ! We came back to see a guest fighting with staff this is when I decided to leave. I am going back to the Arts hotel! AVOID
Friendly staff, clean rooms nice views and best of all everything in the fridge comes with the room muah!
