Excellent hotel, with great service and restaurants. There was a lovely view of the lake from my balcony.The only downside is that there is no lift, so not suitable for people with a disability.

Absolutely superb staff which make this a fantastic hotel. The hotel was exceptionally clean throughout. The rooms were of a very high standard and the views from our room were breathtaking. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff. The breakfast was of a high quality and plentiful. Can not rate this hotel highly enough. By far the best hotel we have stayed at in any of the countries we have travelled to.

Clean and tidy rooms. The view from the balcony was so wonderful I will fall short of words. The room service and hotel staff is very helpful as we were new they gave us an idea how to explore the city around. The breakfast which was served was so healthy and delicious with fresh fruits. Good hotel within reasonable rate.

We didnt get the chance to stay here unfortunately due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The low rating is given because the hotel made no effort whatsoever to assist us by issuing a partial refund, voucher, date change, etc. We had booked for mid May. Rules are rules here, no exceptions made.Of the 5 hotels we had booked for our trip, this is the only one that didnt make an effort to assist us on our end somehow. Others either gave a full or partial refund or voucher to use in the next 18 months without much trouble.

Fantastic food, great service, first class wine!

The hotel we were staying at was only offering rooms without breakfast during the Christmas holidays. We asked at the Balm whether we could have breakfast there. They welcomed us immediately. We had a great breakfast served by efficient and very courteous staff. We have reserved a room there for our next visit in the area.

We chose Hotel Balm for a very last second trip to Lucerne. We had an incredible experience thanks to the affordable rates, delicious breakfast, and the amazing view. The staff were very personable and a great resource when looking for activities in Lucerne. This is a great and affordable hotel to stay in during your trip to Lucerne.

Great place to stay in luzern

We stayed for one night at this hotel and had an amazing experience. The highlight of our stay was the great service and welcoming hospitality of the staff in this hotel. The breakfast was served happily despite us coming down 10 minutes before it was meant to close, and it was a very good breakfast. The staff is so nice and helpful here.Only criticism is that there is no A/C but they provide fans in the rooms to make up for it.I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, with its good price and impeccable service.

Nice and clean. The only downside: no minibar and airconditioning, though 37 degrees is not typical for Lucern.

Extremely clean an comfortable. Conveniently located near public transportation about 15 minutes to the city center. Delicious breakfast with a variety of meats and cheeses. Breathtaking views of the lake and a cool little playground for kids. Very calm, quiet and beautiful!

Absolutely lovely staff which go above and beyond to make you feel at home! Rooms are clean and comfortable, and most have amazing views of Mount Pilatus and Lake Lucerne. Excellent cuisine, and a very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended!

What made this place worth visiting again was firstly, excellent front of house manager, I think his name was Herr Gerbisdorff, a very friendly, intelligent young man who made an extra effort to ensure myself and my partner felt welcome and comfortable. Also, the truly exceptional quality of food. They offer fine dining elegance or casual bistro but even the most economical dishes were unfathomably good! Compliments to the chef and to the person who creates the menu. We were so impressed!!! I think friendliness towards your guests says a LOT about you. The front of house manager will go far in life. Congratulations

Clean room with beautiful views from the balcony

Great food and rooms are nice. The 24 bus has a stop right out front so getting down town is very easy.

The room was very comfortable. The location is perfect. It takes only 15 minutes to downtown by bus. The breakfast was wonderful and the service was great.

This hotel totally corresponds to its name:)It was like a balm for our soul:After searching for a while a good hotel in surroundings we have seen this one. It was already night, so we entered right away and the kind night receptionist provided us with the best rate. The room was clean and cosy with modern design !RECOMMEND!

What a wonderful experience we had at the Hotel Balm Meggen. We arrived by train and had to figure out how to find the Hotel but came across it quite quickly, approx 5 minute walk. A better option is the bus stop immediately across the street which runs every 20 minutes.The reception was warm and friendly and I felt bad that the very nice, petite lady had to carry our heavy bags up the stairs to the room. I insisted on helping but she would not have any of it. The room was large and clean and modern. The bathroom was very well appointed and again very clean and modern.We went downstairs for a snack and drink and again were greeted warmly. The service and quality of the food was outstanding yet friendly. We enjoyed breakfast on the porch the next day and again found it to be more than we had bargained for.Unfortunately we had to leave early the next morning and came down the evening prior to pay. When we did the front desk hostess asked what we would like for breakfast and showed us how to use the coffee maker. In the morning there was a place setting at the bar with our name and instructions as to where our breakfast was stored. We enjoyed our breakfast and coffee before our long journey home.When visiting Luzern we will only stay at the Hotel Balm Meggen and would recommend the same. It is quiet and peaceful and friendly. We found it to be a wonderful value. Thank you all who made our stay so special.

Customer service is good. Rooms are very small but clean. Showers and restroom are adequate. Negative: No A.C.or fan. Gets hot in summer and if you open windows very noisy.
