Beautiful and best location on lake, wonderful to support a local business with lovely garden, decor and service and very conveniently located near ferry drop off.

מלון במיקום נח בסנטה כרוז דה לגונה.ארוחת בוקר מצוינת,ארוחת ערב סבירה.המחיר גבוה בהרבה מרמת המלון.קבלנו חדר שכל קירותיו,כולל במקלחת,מלאים בעובש,שהריח שלו בחדר הפריע לישון .כשהערנו לצווות על כך,לא ממש עניין אותם.העיקר שנשלם מראש...ללילה הבא כבר עברנו למלון אחר.למען ההגינות,נראה שיש להם בונגלוס חדשים יותר,שנראה מבחוץ לפחות- שרמתם גבוהה יותר.

Beautiful hotel by the lake with an amazing view, comfortable rooms, and delicious food!

Unglaublich schöner Ort mit freundlichem Personal und tollen Zimmern. Leider gibt es nachts ab 1uhr gerne mal straßenkämpfe zwischen über 20 straßenhunden mit stundenlangem gebelle und gejaule (wofür das Hotel natürlich nicht wirklich etwas kann... Schlafen konnten wir leider trotzdem kaum )

Made a dinner reservation here for four people and we chose our entrees when we made the reservation. We showed up for our 7pm dinner reservation at about 6:45, and our dinner was served at 7:05. We were surprised by the prompt service, especially after we realized it was a two person operation that evening. The server and cool were both incredibly kind and all of the food was great--the entrees we had that night were chicken kabobs and lightly fried tilapia. After dinner the chef told us they had cake for dessert so we ordered two pieces. He brought out two huge slices that were more than enough for the four of us. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed charming dinner experience.

Run down place with mold, spiders and insects in the room.The door to our room was not insulated with spaces between the door, the frame and the wall.No Wi-Fi in the rooms. Only in the reception area that closes at 9 PM.The male receptionist was rude extremely greedy and not friendly.We had to take a boat to this hotel that will cost you lots of extra money to get there.The garden is beautiful and the view of the lake is niceThe toilet was broken and glued in an ugly way.The small cheap closet in the room was so late that it fell when I hang the shirts on it.At 5 AM loud noises of construction behind my room started and kept me up.I think if you can get a room for $10 a night, that might be appropriate for this hotel.

We went for breakfast one morning and for dinner another day! The food was amazing, the setting was perfect, and the staff was so kind and friendly! In fact, that dinner, sitting outside under the patio while it stormed, eating amazing food in an incredible location, might just rank in the top 5 meals I’ve ever had in my life. We even loved the dog, Lola!

We dont often return to the same place but weve stayed here four times simply because the location is perfect, its a really peaceful place, and everyone who works here has time to talk with you and to share a smile.

Antonio y Elena nos han tratando de lo mejor y Antonio Es un chef MICHELENE de lo mejor y Petrona muy Noble....Antonio and Elena were the best with us. Antonio is the best Micheline Chef and Petrona very nice lady too.

No cumplen con las condiciones de reserva. Ofrecen pagos por PayPal “sin comisión”, pero no te indican agregan una comisión de 11.5% convirtiendo el pago a dólares. Cuando reclamamos al encargado nos dijo “es así en Guatemala” y que las comisiones son para “pagar los impuestos” (ósea que están evadiendo impuestos cuando pagas en efectivo). De otra manera, cobran 6% por pagar por tarjeta (lo más alto que vimos en Guatemala). Una lastima ya que el hotel está muy bien y el servicio fue bueno.Respuesta al dueño:Cómo se muestra en la foto, en su correo de reserva indican que aceptan PayPal “sin recargo”, lo cual no es cierto ya que no informan que obligan a pasar el cargo a dólares a la tasa de cambio arbitraria con alrededor de 11.5% extra de comisión.Los invito a que sean honestos con sus métodos de pago y sus clientes. Mejor aún, acepten tarjetas de crédito sin comisión como el resto de Guatemala considerando que la habitación costaba 80$ por noche.

Posizione sublime, nel piccolo centro di Santa Cruz assolutamente tranquillo. Svegliarsi e addormentarsi in un bungalow affacciato sul lago, con la vista su questa meraviglia è impagabile.

Lugar hermoso y tranquilo con platos de comida deliciosas. Disfruté de la vista al lago, las hamacas, y toda la fauna alrededor. La cabaña era el lugar perfecto para tranquilizarse después de pasear por el lago, todo estaba limpio y organizado. La recepción fue muy amable y no hubo ningún problema haciendo nuestra reservación con solo un día de aviso (llegamos en febrero). No había mucho ruido ahí entonces era fácil dormir y descansar. Como el hospedaje era todo estilo de cabaña, si vimos unos insectos y un escorpión pero no nos molestó mucho.

Right in front of the harbour, we had desayuno at this hotel/restaurant. Pancakes and s desayuno with eggs, tomato with chimichurri sauce, bacon and fruit.Amazing view, friendly staff, chilled and great price for value. Recommended

Visitamos el restaurante en dos ocasiones durante nuestra estadía. Los precios están súper bien y los platillos son abundantes.El servicio es extremadamente amable y hasta bromea con uno.La última estrella se las doy por ser Pet friendly y siempre recibirnos con nuestro perro.Nos encantó el lugar y nos alegra que haya un lugar así en Santa Cruz!

Excelente comida, servicio, soy cliente del lugar desde hace 5 años y siempre regreso. La comida la hacen en el momento, es un poco tardado. Pero vale la pena, aceptan mascotas y la vista del lugar es ideal, justo a la orilla del lago. Recomendado!!!

Lugar muy bonito y cómodo... La habitación muy limpia y ordenada. La comida no está mal pero hay puntos de mejora y tener más variedad es sumamente importante. Excelente servicio al cliente definitivamente. Lugar recomendable y sin duda alguna opción importante para regresar.

El lugar es maravilloso, es super fácil de ubicar ya que está a poca distancia del muelle público. El hotel tiene un muelle privado, un lugar para fogatas las habitaciones privadas están bastante bien, limpias y una vista al lago impresionante. El desayuno estuvo rico y el café de buena calidad, falta mejorar el sistema de reservaciones no dan información clara y tuvimos que llamar varias veces para confirmar la reservacion, y aun en recepción no sabían de nuestra llegada.

Amazing location

We verbleven in een van de mooie bungalows met een fijn bed en een prachtig (!uitzicht over Lake Atitlan. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en behulpzame eigenaar Pedro. Top prijs / kwaliteit verhouding. Een echte aanrader om te verblijven!

EVERYTHING about this restaurant is amazing! We stopped in for breakfast (4people& it was delicious & FRESH! The waitress + chef were one of a kind (margarita + Domingo& the view is aMaZiNg! It was so delicious we decided to make reservations for dinner. My dad wasn’t feeling well & were staying .5miles away.. we asked if we could get the food to go and without question andres gladly packaged everything up - He went above & beyond! (We ate at iguana the night before..bland food, no to go & set menuif you are in Santa Cruz, this restaurant is a MUST!

I’d stay here any day. Local family is actually up and offering breakfast before 8(unlike the iguana perdida which has around 20 backpackers working and not 1 can get up before 8 to open the place)- Arca de Noe is so pleasant and the owners so kind! The menu is affordable and very tasty! well definitely opt for this place to stay in the future.

Had the veggie omelette. It was delicious and so much food! I got a huge omelette with fresh baked, thick toast, jam, papaya, avocado, and homemade potatoes. If your like me and stay at Free Cerveza, come eat here at least once. its a must. plus you get twice the amount of food for the same price or less.

Super low key but fantastic location

I loved the restaurant. Their chef was very accommodating and made an excellent vegetarian pepian.

Deliciosa la comida me encantó. Saludable, buenas porciones, variedad y sobre todo un excelente servicio, amabilidad y comprensión. No pueden irse de Santa Cruz sin comer aquí.

We reserved 2 rooms for 2 couples. When we arrived there was hot water in one room and the toilet didnt flush in the other. The towels in both rooms were dirty and even though we asked, replacement towels never came. The room with no hot water also had a leaky pipe, a hole in the door to allow in swarms of mosquitos, and big spiders crawling around. After cramming into the one room to take all our showers, we went to get dinner but said that we had to let the front desk know before 5pm. We were escorted to our rooms after 5pm and told to order dinner at the front desk if we were interested (no time mentioned). This also meant would couldnt use the wifi because it is only free if you eat at the hotels restaurant. To top it all off, there was no one who spoke english around after 7pm to talk to about all of our issues and check out in the morning took 25 minutes. I emailed to follow up about our issues 3 times in the last 3 weeks but got no response.All of this should make it clear that the hotel is poorly run and doesnt seem to care much about working to improve the experience of its guests once they have arrived. The rooms are were also not clean, so I would recommend La Iguana Perdida right across the street because they were very helpful when I went there with questions and looking for food and it seemed like a great atmosphere.

Horrible experience, avoid these guys. Went for dinner here, the food is ok but overpriced. Offered me free coffee but then charged for it...tried to hide that fact from but then just said "yeah sorry" when challenged. I left after dinner but finding my hostel cut Wi-Fi off at 7pm I walked straight back to restaurant to use a little of the Wi-Fi there (free for guests eating thereto book a flight. Sat outside, in clear sight. After 5 minutes the older gentlemen came over and said hi, clearly checking if I was using internet. They then turned off the Wi-Fi and even followed me along the path to make sure I left. Unpleasant people - avoid them.

I have come to this wonderful little hotel on five different occasions over the past 16 years. It is a hidden gem on Lake Atitlan that I highly recommend. First, there are more varied options around Lake Atitlan than just about anywhere else in Central America. This place is for anyone who wants a relaxing, beautiful and peaceful place on the lake. Second, the staff are all wonderfully kind and helpful. In case you havent read this elsewhere, it is, as far as I know, the only hotel on the lake owned and operated by a local Mayan family. Third, the restaurant is delicious and has different options each night. Fourth, the rooms are comfortable, clean and inviting.For me, a relaxing, friendly, peaceful, comfortable place like Arca de Noe is perfect. I have spent Christmas here as a Peace Corp volunteer, taken my wife here for a romantic getaway and taken my daughters while we swam and climbed volcanoes. At each stage of life, Arca de Noe has been wonderful.

Great 3 course meal for 90Q (Chicken Mainand 100Q (Fillet Mignonrespectively. Soup and bread to start and apple pie and coffee for dessert. Maria our waitress was friendly and attentive. Nice setting by the lake side.

Such a nice place to stay- the local family that run this place are lovely- they made me dinner even after the kitchen had closed ! I had a private room. The garden is super pretty. Santa Cruz is verrrrry chilled out and quiet. - I did nothing else than swim in the lake and read.

Beautiful waterfront view from little "bungalows" or houses. The hotels website definitely doesnt do it justice. I just had to share additional photos! If you are used to Guatemalan accommodation like being "close to nature," occasional no hot water, then this place is wonderful. Santa Cruz is a small town on Lake Atitlan so if you are looking for a respite away from the noise, this is definitely the place for you. There are a few options for food nearby but they tend to be slightly more expensive than other Guatemalan prices. For example, a 3 course meal in Santa Cruz is about $12/Q100.

Beautiful eco hotel directly located at the lake with great view of the volcano, owned by a lovely German/Austrian couple, very nice employees, I used to work there for a month and meet very nice people from around the world
