A 2-minute walk from the Brandenburg Gate, this elegant, upscale hotel is a 3-minute walk from the Berlin Wall.Posh rooms with marble bathrooms include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi and iPads, plus minibars. Opulent suites add kitchens and separate dining/living areas, along with whirlpool tubs, fireplaces and city views. Room service is available. There are 4 restaurants, including a sophisticated Asian eatery, and a renowned European restaurant with views of the Brandenburg Gate. A plush spa offers an indoor pool, a sauna and massages. There's also a gym, a bar and a relaxed lounge with a piano, as well as meeting rooms and a terrace.
The best hotel in Berlin. Great location near Brandenburg gate, Reichstag and Tergarten park. Breakfasts in hotel are very varied: four types of caviar, sparkling wines, tropical fruits etc.The only downside is the non-working gym. But this shortcoming was compensated by jogging in a nearby park
Five stars service are all around in everywhere during my stay. Found Clean and well maintenance hotel room. Friendly staff with professional standard.Best location in downtown, Foods was great - recommended
The staff here are all exceptional. All of them without exception were friendly, polite and so willing to try their best to accommodate any request made within reason. They made my daughter a beautiful ham sandwich even though its not on the menu. The side snacks they provide with a cup of tea or a beer are of the highest quality. The olives were absolutely delicious, also the black berries and raspberries. It sounds simple to mention these things but these small details leave a huge impression and make a big difference.I absolutely loved this hotel and its really all because of the attitude of the staff as well as the small details. There were many other small details that created a beautiful experience, here I have just mentioned the few that left a lasting impression.I always love Kempinski hotels and this was one of the best I have seen so far.
We stayed here last year for one week due to its reputation in the past. My aunty loved this place. :Location is excellent, we did not need to book a taxi. The Room was so so, bit outdated in general. As lots of tourists do visit this historic place, the receptionist and bell boy were not able to provide a personal touch in their service, which was pitty. It is always nice to have attentive staff during your stay, which was not the case here. Although have to mention, that there was due to a summit a big african delegation on site, which make it even more crowdy.Breakfast service and quality was great, cant complain.
Extremely nice 5-star hotel located exactly at the Brandenburg Gate, on the same place of the original Adlon Hotel. The hotel also hosts a few brand shops, and has a nice restaurant-cafe area inside the lobby, and a restaurant in the corner towards Brandenburg Gate.Always clean and friendly staff.Recently they started serving ice cream on the terrace in front of the hotel, so one has a nice view towards the main square.Love the positive energy in and around the hotel. Great place to stay!
The legend of hotels. Beautiful interior. Lots of history behind.Fantastic location. Price to quality not adequate.
Its hard to find fault with such an iconic establishment. Having been reading for years about the Adlon I was greatly looking forward to staying there. Just to get out the taxi and walk through the entrance was something special. I know its not the original building but it still holds the mystique that surrounds the pre war years of glamour and decadence. The staff are first class as youd expect. My room looked straight on to Unter den Linden and over to the Reighstag and Brandenburg Tor. There are no USB points. The bed is extremely comfortable and there is a good choice of pillows. It should go without saying that its impossible to be any better located within Berlin. The lobby is perfect just to sit, relax and listen to the pianist in the afternoon. Breakfast at the Adlon is something not to be rushed. Im not one to film in restaurants but rest assured, its wonderful.Take your time. From champagne to caviar, its all there.Im surprised that Kempinski dont make more of what the Adlon once was and promote the hotels history as Id imagine most people just see it as a luxury hotel without knowing its past. After the rebuild in 1997 the rooms are soon due a refurbishment but in general the hotel is in fine order.
I enjoyed the nice and fancy toilets in your nice hotel. Always a pleasure to visit. Wiping my hands with those smooth hand towels and hand creams was a “Wunderschön“ experience.
I have traveled all over the world and hands downthe mattresses here are the hardest I have ever experienced in my life. I am 30 years old and this is the first time I have ever woken up in excruciating pain. I could barely walk and had to spend the first 45 min of my day stretching. On top of that, the spa is only open Thursday- Sunday. They do not accept online bookings, you are required to call. I arrived on Wednesday and wanted a spa appointment for Thursday. I tried calling to make the appointment before i arrived (Monday their off dayand they insisted I must wait until they open. Come Thursday, after sleeping on their hard as rock beds and waking up to barely being able to walk. The spa finally answered the phone for an appointment & they obviously were fully booked for that day. Needless to say, the first half of my Berlin trip is ruined because I can barely walk.
Incredible hotel with world class service. I’ve had the pleasure of staying in many nice hotels but nothing matches the Adlon in my opinion. The room was incredible and very spacious. In my junior suite I enjoyed a sitting area, jacuzzi tub, and a steam shower. The restaurants are amazing and I recommend having breakfast where champagne and caviar is served. Lastly, take advantage of the views of the Brandenburg Gate whilst enjoying a Berliner Weiße (Berlin Sour beerand a plate of Currywurst.
Had a wonderful weekend at the Adlon. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are beautiful, the lobby and bar were fantastic. However, the breakfast severely lacked vegan options, and there was no help from the labeling at the buffet. Additionally, there was a pre-arrival questionnaire about preferences and things, and my responses in this questionnaire were entirely ignored.
My husband and I stayed at the Adlon Kempinski for four nights during our time in Berlin, and I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with all aspects of my stay. Even before my arrival, the hotel reached out to me and asked if I had any preferences for sight-seeing, hotel transfers, food, restaurants, even pillow preferences. The hotel leaves an impression from the moment you set foot in the building, and has managed to perfectly maintain the balance of grandeur and elegance. From the level of attentiveness and courtesy of their staff, to the level of cleanliness, room space and location, I was more than satisfied with my stay. I would highly recommend this place to anyone whos looking to spend a little bit extra and spoil themselves - you wont regret it.
Hotel Adlon is of great historical importance with its location in the heart of Berlin. Almost destroyed in a huge fire the 2 mai 1945. When soviet troops burned all buildings and rapet all the woman in Berlin. Much like we see the Russian do in Ukraine today. History has a strange way of repeating it selfe. lets hope we never see the red flag of the communists in Berlin again.Rebuild after the great war but a lot of the major building is in its original state. I would say "when in Berlin, stay at Adlon" Of course its expensive, but its worth it. Its something about the atmosphere. Its in the air, and the floor you walk on, its everything! Its one of the things that has to be experienced , and not only read about. I would go that far and say, its one of the greatest places to visit in Berlin. Its not only a hotel, its a place to really enjoy.
The service is unparalleled from the minute you step off the taxi, they make sure you are well taken cared of. Walking into the hotel feels like walking through a time machine. The interiors definitely makes you feel like you are back in the golden twenties. The rooms are well maintained and they also prepared a lovely bouquet with Champagne for our anniversary. They definitely go out of their way to make your stay wonderful. Breakfast is superb with wide choices to fit your needs with the option to enjoy it while looking out at the famous gate. Without a doubt, Hotel Adlon Kempinski is a must when in Berlin.
An iconic hotel with unmatched level of customer experience. The breakfast is absolutely amazing while the rooms are spacious and comfortable. They even offer a free of charge shoe shine service.
I can only agree with the previous speaker the toilette is an amazing experience. It was a magical moment when i dried my hands with these fancy paper towels. Looking forward to visit you again
Stopped in the café for a quick latte and cake. The cashier suggested a lemon pound cake. It had good flavor, it was dry and likely a day past its prime. My brother had a sandwich, which did me the expectations. My mocha drink was tasty and prices reflected value received. The service was friendly and prompt. The setting is, of course, beautiful. I’ll have to try a different item in the bake case the next time.
