Auguststraße 43, 10119 Berlin, Germany, Berlin
This contemporary hotel in the fashionable neighborhood of Mitte is 1.2 km from Alexanderplatz square and the Berlin Wall Memorial.Modern, subdued rooms with parquet flooring have free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs. Apartments add separate living and dining areas, plus fully equipped kitchens. Some offer balconies.Breakfast is offered (fee). Amenities include a chic bar and business center, plus an elegant lobby. There are also conference rooms surrounded by a roof terrace.
Nicely located hotel with most tourist attractions within walking range. We rented a 4-beds flat, and it was well worth it.
Very nice location and lobby (including bar), you can also enjoy apartments. Normal rooms are mediocre, u need to know that bathroom is an open space with additional mirror, not the best for business trips. Breakfasts are also medium class, good but variety of food is low and everything is the same day by day.Customer service is a at the very low level, guys at reception make mistakes, card locks are not working properly… and soap is mixed with water and not added on time.We also had a problem with reserved parking. Manager needs to care about few things and they can easily be very good hotel.
Lovely bar and roof top !
We went to the terrace roof bar for a cocktail which was great. Had a couple of bramble cocktails. So good!. The view was fab too.
I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights and was very happy with everything. Rooms are modern and clean, I especially like the wooden floors. Great variety on the breakfast buffet and the location is unbelievable. Star number six for the rooftop bar with amazing views, drinks and service. I’ll be back :)
Tried to change my reservation less than a day after booking and was told it’s impossible. Least helpful hotel staff I have had to deal with so far.
Favorite hotel stay so far!Stayed in the business suite as was traveling with friend they were on sofa bed in the living area and I was in the main room. Room was decently clean and well presented although dusty in some places. Bed was incredibly comfortable and best I have ever slept abroad! Apparently sofa bed was good too and was made up for them well. Bathroom was very clean and modern with beautiful finishes. Well stocked charged fridge and coffee machine. Was on middle floor so not great views as very built up area but stunning panoramic windows for plenty of sunlight and good black out curtains so sleep not disturbed. Train station 5 minute walk away makes getting to and from airport as well as around the city incredibly cheap and easy!Cons - slightly rude staff but still helpful
I came in late at night, my ordered room was not ready, I was sent walking with my language to another hotel
Stayed here few times. Located in Berlin Mitte. Restaurants, Bars, trains and busses all in walking distance. Nice rooftop bar and quiet for sleeping. Clean and pretty rooms. Lot of pillows 💤
We would definitely come back to this hotel! The hotel is in a great spot: lots of great restaurants in a 10 minute walk and very easy to go other places via the train. Definitely a good value for the price in my opinion.I see other reviews mentioning that they were bothered by the noise from other guests and this was not an issue for us. We were on the 5th floor so we had quite a bit of separation from the ground floor bar area. We didnt hear anything from rooftop area either though! My only cautions for folks is that the shower and sink are in the same open area as the bed; only the toilet is in a separate room with a door. This was not a problem for my partner and I but I can see this being a issue for others.
Stayed in XL-Apartment and it was nice. Great location, but not so good guest service, especially reservation.
MEDIOCRE EXPERIENCE.1. We arrived at 5pm. THERE WAS NO ROOM AVAILABLE, even though we had reservations for over a month. We had to wait quite a while for this to be solved. Person at the front desk did not speak sufficient English to be on a client-facing position at a hotel chain.2. They ended up giving us, a couple, two twin beds. We specifically reserved one large double bed.3. We were promised breakfast, even the day we checked-in. There was none. I found the staff involved in this to be extremely rude. Again, not fit for this sort of position. We later found out that several other guests had the same experience, which suggests this was not a one-off thing4. Internet was slow and unreliable.5. The bar and rooftop there were closed throughout our stay.Hotel is pretty and well-located, but the staff and lack of overall organisation and level of hospitality Made the whole experience there quite terrible. I do not recommend
Rooms not at all like picture. Rooms were dirty. Pieces of glasses on the floor. I booked the hotel through the site (non refundableand was promised a gift...surprisingly it was a 15 dollar discount to the hotel restaurant...I told them I didnt want that as I wasnt going to use the restaurant. They didnt offer anything else. The only thing good about the hotel was the location. They didnt even provide water in the rooms.
One of the bed side tables was broken. The toilet was separate from the sink and shower. Ok room apart from that.Breakfasts were good, but a little overpriced.
Besy Vfm, big clean rooms, nice restaurant, nice sraff, great rooftop bar and just a perfect location.
Amazing location. The room had some weird issues. The key card did not always work but that was because it touched another digital card. The soap dispenser did not work too well. There is not a lot of table space to put your things on. Overall, lovely hotel and amazing location. I wish the room was a little more comfortable.
Lovely central hotel, but make sure you have a room 4th floor or higher, very busy nightclub on the ground floor
Pretty decent place near the city center. Rooms are OK - not big but not tiny either. The shower is pretty much in the middle of the room which felt a little awkward. There was no bottle of water, glasses or anything and the bedsheets were fairly small for a tall person. But overall OK. The staff is SUPERnice and friendly though, and the location is pretty good as well.
The hotel tries to be restaurant, bar, party location and hotel in one. In the evenings its hard to get to your room as the only elevator is blocked by all the guests wanting to drink on the roof top terrace. For those who go down they all take the stair well so that it also crowded with people. The bar on the bottom floor plays really loud music. Its not a relaxing stay. The rooms are clean, but there is no proper bathroom. The shower and sink are part of the bedroom. The toilet is seperate however. For the price you pay you just dont really get that much. Its a weird mix between hotel and party location and as a guest you dont really feel at home here. For the same price or a little more you find a ton of more charming hotels in Berlin Mitte.
Good Location and service.Modern, young, dynamic & eclectic atmosphere.
A very nice hotel indeed. Friendly staff, good interior design, pleasant bar, centrally located.
First time in my life that I was forced to change my place in the lobby bar to make space for other guest & squeeze to other guests place.Quite rude…
Although the hotel looks nice, modern and cool, the customer service didnt meet the expectations at all.We stayed there 3 nights for a family leisure trip. It took 2 days to have duvet, pillows and towels adequate to the number of guests. But what was unacceptable is the waste I found under the sofa bed where my 2 kids slept: a lot of dust, surgical mask, used bottle caps, smoking filters and papers, something similar to a condom envelop (i didnt want to investigate). I asked to speak to the hotel manager and she wasnt there, i asked the receptionist to ensure that the room was cleaned and I wrote a complaining email to the hotel manager, but nobody replied and at the end of the day the dirt was still there. When we checked out they gave us back 20% of the cost of the stay to apologize for the inconvenience. So well but not very well, I would have appreciated a thorough cleaning during the stay.
One of the best hotels Ive been to, very quiet and easy access. Its right next to a big shopping district, theres a small shop maybe 20 meters away as well as a Covid Test area. Staff are lovely and kind and rooms are medium sized and cleaned well. Ill make sure to come again.
It was a weekend trip to berlin from Saturday till Monday with three friends and me.The hotel is located in Mitte. 5-Min walk way to Alexanderplatz and the television tower.Nearby you have a lot of little supermarkets and a perfect connections to many bus/tram stations. The rooms are superclean and minimalistic, but it has everything you need. The breakfast was was simple and very delicious. :)The staff is very Kind!A 100% recommendation for a small trip to Berlin! :)
Very nice hotel for the price. Very much a four star feel at three star prices. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating during my stay. Will definitely be staying here and other Amano hotels when visiting Berlin!
Very bad staff. We wanted to have a great night on our last night in Berlin but they declined our entry into the bar. Treated us very terribly. They also attacked us, a man with with long tied up brown hair and wearing glasses. I heard his name was Ivan. This man attacked us and pushed us out of the door. He did not ask us nicely to leave but with force and physically. Very poor from the night bar security. Would never recommend!!!!
The economic rooms are not adequate to the image that the hotel wants to give of itself (. 4 star?). You don’t have an impression of cleanliness in the room, it’s not dirty either but there’s not so much attention to details. The location is top.The lobby is very beautiful and stylish but the bar service was very very poor: the bartender looked like he did not know and like his job at all.The breakfast is pretty various and tasty : croissants, sandwiches, various cheese, tomatoes, ham etc , cooked options, marmalade and yogurt… BUT also there, the service is not adequate. The coffee is not served, there’s a machine. And ok…it would be fine. The problem is that the machine for the two days of our stay was “ defective “ ( as we were told and there was no espresso. Sorry, this is unacceptable. The second day this must have been fixed. So considering the extra price of the breakfast, I was a bit disappointed.
nice hotel, friendly frontdesk, great restaurant and bar, central location, rooms ok.but:housekeeping needs to be upgraded, room not cleaned up properly from previous guest and after complaining at 5pm it took until 8pm to get it done. booked large room for family but kids bed wasnt prepared either. one evening the all male housekeeping crew was hanging out and sitting on the floor in the hallways in front of the elevator, really weird and unprofessional.
Good value for money. Central location, clean and has an underground car park. Bed was uncomfortable and there is no room service.
Truly traumatic experience. Horrible service, extremely rude staff. After reserving this hotel with an upfront payment got rejected entry to the room at the reception desk. The staff instead of trying to help made it even harder to resolve the issue by lying and giving improper impolite comments. If you are looking for a pleasurable experience I would advice to never consider this stay
Guests get no benefits whatsoever, the rooftop is absolutely packed (impossible to get a reservationand no one wears masks when walking around. The front of the hotel is more like a war zone with people screaming and littering. The room was tidy and spacious, staff was friendly.
It’s not the first time I’m staying in the Amano hotel. This time we arrived to Berlin to celebrate my husband’s birthday. After the check-in, we entered our room, there were a bottle of sparkling wine and a small present from the hotel. That was a very lovely surprise which made our stay in this hotel even more delightful. Thank you! We would definitely come back.
This hotel group is beyond glamorous. I’ve stayed in three now: Zoe, Munich and Berlin Amanos and it’s been incredible. Even when having a room right by a tram stop in Berlin, I didn’t hear a thing. Sumptuous showers, baths and decor. Would stay again!!!
I was in Berlin for one week for a family wedding. Location was great. Room was a really nice size. Easy access to great restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Staff were professional with the exception of one or two who were not friendly at all. Cleaning crew were great. Lack of the restaurant was a negative for me. The bar was great. What I love the most was having the hair salon next to the hotel. I was in Berlin for one week for a family wedding. I used his services twice. The owner is extremely friendly, great at what he does. He uses quality hair products such Oribe brand. He went out of his way to help me with styling my hair at 8:00 AM when his store opens at noon. Super, super friendly. Got lots of compliments on my hair. Highly recommend him.
One of the best three stars hotels I have ever been. Super service very stylish bar is open till very late super flimsy reception and whatever you need they will get for you. Love it also the price was so friendly if you use the booking from the company itself. Love the whole idea of this hotel. Will be back as soon as possible thanks guys.
Got upgraded to the apartment - it was amazing! So spacious. Has everything you could need. The only downside is they only provide one key, so coordinating with our group was challenging. The front staff was very accommodating though.
Great location in Mitte. Rooms are large. Kitchen is minimally equipped, but staff can provide extras. Need to ask for pretty much everything, sometimes two or three times. Decent value, given room size and location.
The 2 stars for the location and the OK room. Now for the rest: theres only liquid soap in the room, and thats it.No shampoo, water bottle, tooth brush/paste, TV in English, coffee and basically, nothing.Ive been in 2 stars hotel in Asia that provided the basics because thats what they are, basics.A hotel in a prime location with 2 bars, restaurant and a conference center can definitely show some basic respect to paying customers and provide decent fully equipped room.
Location was excellent. Apartment was great.Staff were friendly and helpful.Very happy with our stay and would stay again.Very good breakfast area and selection was good.Lobby was very nice.European cup final was put on in the lobby when requested ⚽.Greetings from Ireland🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Good hotel and centrally located. The room is nice but a little small, the only thing is that the noise of the air vent (the general one you can not turn offis very very loud. So dont use my room 226. Well compliments for the hotel staff within a few hours they replied to my air vent issue, this means they appreciate customer feedback. A good reason to return once more. On a side note, the breakfast buffet is very nice and a good choices for everyone.
Beautiful hotel, very nice lobby and restaurants. The room is bust right for your needs. If there is one thing missing it would be the bed, the double bed is two joined twin beds and the heater is cold. The breakfast is really good, the location is a walking distance to everything, the receptionist shes super helpful, the xmas ambience was cute and cozy and the rooms are really quite. Loved it and highly recommend this place to anyone coming to berlin.
Great place to stay in Berlin. Thought it was good value for money (cheaper than most of the Airbnbs In the areastaff were supper friendly and helpful, we arrived early and were checked in and give a room which was fantastic. The rooms were a great size, bathrooms in the room didnt bother us at all. The beds were supper comfortable. All in all would highly recommend this place will definitely be staying here again
For this price range in Berlin I couldn’t be more disappointed. It’s advertised as a boutique hotel, but has very low facilities & zero customer service. From the moment I walked in, I was not offered help with my super large bags to the room, the hotel room itself was a box, barely fit my suitcase in it. No fridge / minibar, no glasses, or tea or anything!! No room service which I can live without, but then when I got my own food I asked reception for plates & cutlery, rather than assist themselves they sent me to the rooftop bar which doesn’t even serve food so obviously doesn’t have plates. When I was in my room I wanted to open a bottle of wine & of course no bottle opener, I called reception & they said I had to come myself to the rooftop bar again to get one. On my final morning housekeeping knocked on my door 3 times from 8am! Although they should have a record I’m checking out that day & to not bother me to clean the room until I leave. The staff seemed lazy, and not helpful at all. I never post bad reviews, I never post reviews at all actually but it’s these small details & lack of care that make a 4 day stay underwhelming.
Reception area looks great and hip. The rooms are very tiny, like an etap Hotel back in the days. Unfortunately there is noise coming from the tray downstairs, and, really annoying, from the ventilation of both the shower and the toilet. While you can close the toilet door, you cannot do so with the shower as it is inside the room. But hey, the hotel is located in a great spot and there is fortune cookies at the pillows.
Nice hotel, looks a little bit dark. L apartment is Nice, i prefered a larger table. Now we have a desk for two. Small basic kitchen, nice bathroom with a Bath and the bed is good. Staff is friendly, Breakfast looks small bit good. A nice hotel to stay during your visit in Berlin, public transport in the neighbourhood
We stayed here on our first trip to Berlin and this was the perfect location. We were able to walk or transit anywhere from here. Rooms are small, but modern and exceptionally clean. The staff is relaxed yet professional. Great experience overall.
Very nice lobby area downstairs with friendly reception staff. Clean room, comfortable beds, weird placement of open shower in the room with no privacy. Not the best view out of the room window. Overall not a bad stay, could be better in many ways.
Good for what it is. Pretty cheap if you book a little while in advance. Theres no room service, breakfast isnt included, and the rooms are not very pretty. On the plus side, you get a kitchenette, and the location is amazing! Great hotel bar.Stayed in one of the upper room categories, not sure if all rooms have a kitchenette.
For what this hotel is, I have to give it 5 stars. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the staff is helpful. It does not have the amenities that an upscale hotel may offer. There is a nice rooftop bar, though, as well as a restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The hotel really earns its stars due to its location, cleanliness, and cost-effectiveness. We were very satisfied with our experience.
