Everything was fine and fresh.We love their wine selection as well. They are good choice for spicy food.

Nice atmosphere and staffs. I was a bit upset due to bone broth they have used and as well as the meat quality. It could be better.

The food was so gooood! Big portions and very tasty. We had spicy and umami. Would definitely go again.

Our teenage sons really adored the food—it was delicious, spicy, and FUN—to the point where they will invite their friends here to celebrate their birthdays in the future. It was a wonderful venue to celebrate and dine together. We all enjoyed the numbness and exhilarating taste in our mouths after consuming the Mala soup. Really, I should have been informed of this location sooner.

Mediocre hotpot. Vegetables, specially bok choy, was low quality.We chose spicy broth and it was alright.Quite expensive for the small quantity and quality of the food served.The two starters we took, aubergine and mala sausage, were also not impressive.Two star only because of the friendly staff.

I like the concept a lot. I just think it was not outstanding and the bill was quite high. If the meat quality was higher I would have understood the price a bit better.The broth was okay also not something to write about. Also the starters i wasnt impressed by.Service was great! I first tried hot pot in Hong Kong. The experience at Hot Pot Republic was somewhat a downgrade compared to that. Portions are somewhat small and pricey compared to the food you get, but you would not leave hungry though. But I guess Im just used to huge portions. Drinks and starters are also on the expensive side and a bit limited. The food tastes otherwise decent.The neon pink/orange light is not very bright and can be quite annoying.We made the reservation online through Google, which was quite easy, so I recommend that. The place can get somewhat busy even during working days.

Went there for brunch during Copenhagen cooking week. Complete ripoff - 480 for 2 pancakes, a couple of croissants and some vegetables. And we had to wait for a long time for the food. We will never return

We arrived two hours early today because I haven’t looked at the booking properly. The host was super professional and understanding and found ud a table early. The food was absolutely incredible. Can’t put a finger on anything taste wise. The kimchi broth was amazing. The dipping sauces was so good. Everything was super high quality. Although it was not a lot of food for two people. We had to ordre extras and was still not full at the end and it was almost 1000,- kr. and we had no starters, dessert or cocktail/wine. Fx. we only had two dumplings for each of us and not very much meat. So it is pricey, but it was good :-)

I really did not expect much from a hot pot place in a Nordic city. But was I taken by surprise by the real Mala soup and the freshness of the raw food served. We also got the seafood with shrimp and all..totally love that!

Mediocre broth, low quality meat, not many veggie options and quite pricy for the portion. If you are white and want a unique experience then it’s a perfect place (since this place is also the only hot pot restaurant in town, otherwise if you are looking for the authentic taste, please don’t consider. Besides the food, the staffs were incredibly friendly and they will kindly explain you how the system works. Sorry but it’s time for an update.

My friends and I first walked in and noticed the beautiful colours in the rooms, perfect atmosphere when enjoying delicious self-cooked food at the table. We got tons of fresh produce, both asian and local stuff :D That was a surprise. No cliche, just good tasty dinner with my family!

We love the starters and the cocktail combo :D Already off to a great start! The deep fried mushroom was my fav for sure! Then came the hot pot and man, there was so much food!

The starter tasted amazing !But abit disapointed in the veggies for the hotpot.. looked like they were from yestoday, not fresh .. Meat was good, but the veggies was not that great, especially when you think about the price for it all..But the atmosphere was absolutely amazing !

The broth is heavenly!!! We were 2 and had the Mala and Kimchi broth. both tasted authentic! We got plenty of vege and meat to go with it, will definitely come back!

While the concept is nice and the service great, it is definitely not worth the money. Almost 100eur for two persons hot pot and two beers. The soups were sadly lacking in taste. There were two types of meats - pork and beef, some veggies and a couple of dumplings. Amount of food was barely enough, but i guess they also wish to sell their starters and desserts. Will definitely not return.

We had the classic hot pot with loads of veggies, mushrooms, tofu, dumplings, roots and more. We were asked if we wanted to have some more broth when we were about to run low on it.We were more than full and satisfied afterwards. :-)

The broth is mediocre at best. The portion is quite small. I agree with another review that it was the first time in my life Ive had hot pot and was still hungry afterward, especially considering it was not cheap. However, the worst thing about this place is the service. First time we made a reservation for a Saturday night and still had to wait a good 15 minutes for the table. Second time we came, we had one of the worst server waiting on us. This Indonesian lady spent a lot of her time chatting with other tables while ignoring us the whole night. At one point, she came to fill up the broth for the table next to us and completed ignore us when we tried to ask for more broth too. I suspect she has a prejudice against us. She shouldnt be in the service industry if shes there to make friends with people she likes instead of serving customers. The saving grace was the male Asian server who was very attention and courteous, but he wasnt around during the second half of our dinner. Will not return. Not worth the money.

The pieces were way too big and more aesthetic than practical. The meat was also frozen and you have no say in what you get for the hotpot. The taste was fine, but definitely not a place Id write home about.

Great service. We were kindly offered a celebratory glass of bubbly. Good atmosphere. Plenty of food. Honestly even with 2 soups and the add on of dips it was a bit one note after a while. Salt help. We had mala and umami soups but they could have more body and complexity. Suggest making reservations.

Amazing experience at a first time hot potter. Brilliant service, lovely food, and really cozy atmosphere. Only thing I didn’t like was the pudding, but that is more my own tastebuds than the dish itself. Also ideal for vegetarians.

Amazing experience! It´s wonderful this type of concept in a restaurant, you cook your ingredients in a hot pot and that gives you pleasure and connection with your food. Everything was amazing, from the service experience to the amazing skilled vegetables cuts, from the sea food to the meat, it shows expertise and commitment to the costumers! Loved it!

Amazing food! Weve had hotpot before, but this was the best weve tried. Our waiter was super friendly and our food was ready quickly. We were really happy with everything we tried.

Most authentic hotpot restaurant in Denmark! Spend my every birthday there with friends and family!! Great way to learn about Chinese culinary culture!

I would not recommend this place as it’s not worth the money.When choosing the non-veg hotpot; the selection of meat is so less. The veggies are more. If one wanted to eat that many veggies we could have chosen the veg option.The service was passable - delayed on serving even though it wasn’t that busy.Cocktails were alright - not recommended.Do not waste your money.If you have an Asian friend, request them for a hotpot evening and enjoy your choice of ingredients that go in it 😊

Nice authentic hot pot and very friendly staff. They were welcoming and took good care of us. The ingredients were fresh and the selection was good. We especially liked the dumplings. Maybe there could have been a little less of the hard vegetables in favor of some more of the greens, enoki, and tofu skin. It is possible to pick ingredients from a menu, just ask the waiter. The mala soup was too weak for my liking and did not match my expectations from having Hot Pot in China. I didnt sweat while eating, my stomach didnt hurt for six hours due to the chilies, and my mouth wasnt numbed by szechuan pepper. However, spiciness level is subjective and I totally understand the choice to dial it down. Their fresh juices are good and refreshing. I would have given 5 stars if the lighting in the restaurant had not been so funky 😅

Ignore the haters, this is an amazing place, at least if you go for the hot pot. Its delicious, fun (unusual for food), and the staff is so kind, particularly our waitress from Albany. Im certain Ill come back, it was an absolutely amazing experience. And the staff was so accommodating for our need to be served a bit faster, as we had a movie to catch!

Amazing food! A bit on the pricey side - but worth it. The taste of the soup/broth is something you will not forget for a while. The vegetables are so good! I tried so many new vegetables - all good.The waiter was super nice aswell.All in all, go there for the experience and food, its a must try!

Surprised by the authenticity combined with creativity in presenting one of the most popular Chinese cuisines “Sichuan Hot Pot”.The moment you step inside the restaurant, it already sets the tone of uniqueness - the fusion decor and non-Chinese service crews of whom of of the waiters seem to be a great fan of Chinese culture. He speaks with passion when introducing me the menu and making recommendations. What I find a great idea is the variety of hot pot soup, ranging from “traditional spicy, super spicy & Korean kimchi” whereas Korean kimchi is normally out of the options in traditional hot pot restaurants. Then you can pick your add-on ingredients separately by filling out a card with the quantities you want - super practical. Or if it’s your first time trying SichuanHot Pot, they also offer set menu combo, leaving you worry free from what to pick. Strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to try new things!

The taste of the food was really good. I would recommend this place to hot pot lovers. However the value for money was not great (it’s Cooenhagenand the service a bit slow, but friendly. It was worth the visit.

I like the decoration of this restaurant and the service is very good. However, I think price is too expensive. The set hot pot is quite simple. I think the taste is good but nothing is really special. I would recommend if you want to try something unique or want to try Asian food.

Overpriced, Small portion, Not Authentic. The broth is DKK85 per person! For 4 of us, that’s DKK340 just for the broth. (not to mention the broth is the worst I have ever tasted in a hot pot place, the veggie soup tastes like the one I have in an instant noodle packThey don’t state how they charge for the broth on the menu and we are eating in a shared pot which doesn’t make any sense to charge a per person price. The girl told us the reason that for the price is because it each includes 2 dipping sauce which cost DKK18/ dish. I only asked for 1 dipping sauce. They bring me 3 dipping sauce and charge me for the one I asked for because the 2 other dipping sauce they bring is “the policy to bring”.For the first round, we ordered 2 orders of beef + 1 order of pork. However, they bring us almost same amount of beef and pork. And told us that’s all meat we ordered.Overall terrible experience, not worth the money at all. Our server is nice though. Thanks for running back and forth for us.

We heard this place from a friend many times and finally we tried by ourselves. --- my friend is right, it is the best Chinese restaurant in Copenhagen!We chose the mighty meat menu, and got 4 different kind of meat, and very big shrimps. All of them are high quality. The broth is excellent! The staff told us its cooked for over 8 hours. With less than 400 dkk per person, we got wonderful experience and happy stomachache :D

I had never heard of a concept like this.Very fun to do with friends & family because it’s a sharing concept. + i loved the interior!I would recommend the pumpkin and thick noodles, they were delicious!The soups were also really yummyPs: I found the spicy soup very spicy.

Absolutely hidden treasure and great dining experience. Make sure you go to this place and experience Asian food as you probably have never had it before. The place is super central, cozy and reasonable prized. The food was super delicious and of high quality. The staff is very nice and the owner came to us to ask about our experience and made sure we had everything we need. This place really stands out because it is something unique and trendy. Make sure to book a table in the weekend because the place is getting more and more popular :-)

A normal chinies hot pot, nothing was special.We went in a rush hours and we got our reserved table, but it took one hour we received our first food.Experiencing the restaurant is good, but I wont go there for the second time.

It’s very delicious food and great service! The soup and meat tastes great. Also I like the decoration in the restaurant 👍 I’m excited how they make the traditional hot pot in this modern and delicate way. The price is relatively high comparing to other Asian restaurant but it’s worthy to have a great hot pot in Copenhagen.

I used to live in Melbourne and Ive missed its amazing hot pot restaurants since moving to Copenhagen. Im so happy that Hot Pot Republic has filled that hole in my stomach!We tried the non-vegetarian platter with both the spicy and umami broths. The amount of meat, veggies, mushrooms, etc. you get is plenty enough to to fill you up. I was also pleasantly surprised to find the spicy broth to be actually spicy! Its not quite as spicy as I would personally want, but its far more spicy than what you can usually find in Denmark.They also have good deals on Tsingtao beer and tasty sesame-redbean balls for dessert. The price was also very nice. With food, drinks, dessert, and tea, it was only about 400 kr per person The only thing I can find to complain about is that Id like a bit more dipping sauce to come with the meal. Other than that it was excellent food, excellent atmosphere, and excellent price.July 2018 update:Theyve now moved to Vesterbrogade in an alley shared with a cocktail bar. Still excellent quality!

What a wonderful experience and broad selection of food! I loved the textures and yummy flavors of different ingredients. Mushrooms, salad and thinly sliced meat were my personal favorites. Oh, and the broth! You can also have spicy, vegetarian or vegan option! Love this, love this, love this!
