Not worth for the price. Im not comparing with other big brand such as seoul garden or sukiya, but hot pot king must repair the quality service, the food and cleanliness. Also topup all the food because it is BUFFET, not alarcarte! Im trying to support local, but better find another local brand that more worth. Not recommended and will never come again.

im booked session start at 8.30, until 9 there is no chairs to sit on and also food selection is limited.

Its got a nice ambience. However, there was a shortage of staff to attend to customers at peak hours. Some food trays were empty whilst other trays are filled.Overall the food selection is satisfactory

I havent been to this place for a while but this time i have to say the food quality has deteriorated and i doubt i would return to this place. I was also asked to pay first before the meal. I dont recall this is the practice before but when I asked, the staff gave me a lame excuse that he is doing so as he was ending his shift (this was at 6pm). Confusingly, another staff (a girlclarified to him this is not a normal practice too.I didnt want to drag the matter, paid up and went to had my mediocre steamboat. Will not return. Will not recommend.

Varieties, taste good, but the lamb cut is rounded when others makes it into slice and not chunks. Its not air conditioned and youll sweat... overall is ok

The food was okay, not great but still okay. Soup was definitely bland. Few variety of food served. They only serve watermelon for fruit when we came, and only one flavour of ice cream available. I guess it is because of less customers at that time. Rm30/ person. Kinda cheap so cant expect more. The place was clean, neat and staffs were nice, helpful and welcoming. We had a nice time. Thanks

Every month, I will pamper my best friend and myself at a buffet restaurant. We usually go to high-end hotel buffet for obvious reason - Royal Chulan, Le Méridien, Shangrila.. you name it, I’ve been to all. Among all these buffet restaurants, I always feel like lacking something. Regardless of how good the food was, I still feel being robbed. RM200/person is quite expensive despite I puasa-ed the whole day to ensure every cent is worth spending. Yet, coming back home with an empty wallet still makes the experience less happy. Then we tried various steamboat places until we found Hot Pot King. Before I write this review, I went through the bad reviews first. Based on my experience dining at premium buffet, all I can say is these people are ungrateful. I’ve been to some steamboat places that charge way higher and served me expired frozen food. Other place had stack of dirty plates and utensils. One place had staff members who looked like they wouldn’t care if you choke and die. Some cheap steamboat offer little food as if it was ala carte.RM30 is a great price for good steamboat, variety of choice, friendly staff (and boss), frequent topup, clean place, and most importantly- bmf. Nice place to eat with family or friends. Please make sure the food taken not waste. If not, the owner will charge you rm10.00 for every 100gm of food that waste.

Epxensive if compare to other places but the staff was very helpful. Just that, they dont give much choices for seafood.

The steamboat option can be improved and there must be more air flow around the place. otherwise all good.

This is our 3rd times eating here. Wide range of seafoods, and marinated chicken compared to other steam boat places.Ambience place. Have options of table either eating inside or outside.And if you are eating here, ask them to top up the prawns. Or else the top up will be very slow.Price rm33.80 per adult.Rm16.90 for children below 12 years old.

Price will be varied based on the public holiday, weekend and weekday. Some of the seafood like prawns and shrimp were not top up accordingly.

The steamboat and grill was good, looks fresh and new. Selection of items can be improved, not as much as Seoul Garden but this is the first steamboat/grill restaurant that have whole marinated fish normally other restaurant provide fish fillet. But the selection of fish i feel is not really suitable for grilling. The choice of sauce can also be improved as the available sauce is not so "kick". The soup is ok, just the tom yam taste a bit like asam rebus. Cold drinks choice is ok, but there is no hot drinks such as coffee or tea. All in all, I really enjoy the food, environment and service. The food was fantastic with reasonable price for unlimited steamboat and grill. Great and recommended.

The only good sides are shell food quite a variety (no crabs), red meat marinated well, and cosy. However, if you are mutton lover likeme, you will be hugely disappointed. Less meat more bones and they cut it into big chunks causing u unable to chew and end up threwing them asides. Not worth the RM33.80 . Wasted.

Some foods are not fresh, including seafood and salads. The lamb really hard to chew! I am so disapointed. Only the beef and chicken are tasty. Steamboat are okay.

Seafood especially shrimp (no prawn availablenot freshed. Not much of varieties in terms of seafood and vegetables. Below average in taste wise.

Displaying signage sticker " Credit card are welcome" but not functioning. Must spare cash a lot in wallet if dine in a big group. I experienced this. A big shock at the cashier when paying . Lucky I got some spare.

For 2 abt RM70. So-so only for me. Not a stimboat lover.

For the price, the food is ok. Generous selection of chicken, meat, and seafood. The lamb (only 1 choicewas way to thick and took too long to cook. Came during berbuka during ramadhan, outside seating is "mamak" style.

RESERVATION or your chance of walking away because of no available table is high. My friend and I were fortunate to have one outdoor table; came walk-in at 7:30PM, not many customers around. So we had a good time picking up the best seafood and marinated meats to cram down our gullet. Other customers start swarming the restaurant around 8:30PM and above, and you know well you should have come earlier.At seafood area, they have plenty of shellfishes; cockles, clams, mussels, razor clams, and nondescript clams, medium size crabs, prawns, mantis shrimps. You may notice a hint of unfreshness with the crab meat and some of the shellfishes but I dont mind with that (some diva cannot tolerate this). Do not expect to see oysters here. They also have plenty of marinated meats; mutton, beef, chicken, and fish -- in different marinades and I love them all. Fishballs, chicken balls, crab sticks, crab balls, fish cakes can be found here too. Ready cooked meals are served too; fried noodles, sausages, chicken nuggets, fried rice; and I did not come here to eat this. Veggies are ok; greens and cheap mushrooms (enoki, buttons, and the like). Beverages are alright although a little bit too sweet to my liking. Desserts are quite disappointing because they only serve two flavours of ice cream and no toppings.Services are ok, not great.
