This place has wonderful hot dogs and Coney dogs. The red sauce rocks. It takes me back to my youth when the place was an a A&W stand back in the day. All the kids would go there after a Friday night football game. The root beer is just like I remembered when I was a kid same as the hot dogs. Its hard to find places that have the same taste memories 50 some odd years later. I certainly can recommend enough of giving the place a try you wont be disappointed if youre a true old style hot dog fan.

Note: They are cash only.We were out and decided to finally try them. We got a couple hot dogs and split a root beer. We both agreed that the hot dogs were okay. Weve had way better. Their "ketchup" was bland. I couldnt taste the cheese in mine (thought it was going to be liquid cheese). The best thing we enjoyed was the root beer. It was good, and the strong vanilla was nice in it. Wont be getting hot dogs there again. Our hotdogs we make at home are better, but we were out and decided to try the Hot Dog Stand.

We watched the Coney Bros episode on the Hot Dog Stand on YouTube so we had to come check it out!! Really good hot dog. We enjoyed the experience and will definitely come back up for a visit soon.

Loved the Root Beer! Kogel hotdogs had great snap! Not sold on red sauce, but I’m sure it will grow on you. People stood in line just for the sauce. Offers hotdogs, chips, and popcorn.

The Hot Dog Stand has been pretty consistent in the times Ive come here, the root beer is definitely always a nice choice. I had the coney cheese dogs with the red sauce and let me just say... While they were good, make sure you either eat at the table or have several napkins on your person if you plan to eat those while youre out because I made a huge mess after about the 3rd bite.

If your looking for a chili dog and ice cold root beer look no further go here u wont be disappointed! But bring cash no cc!

This place has been around since I was a kid and I still feel the same way about it, I love it! The only thing I will say is that the younger staff needs to be a little bit nicer to their customers, a better attitude will get you a longer way and better tips :)

Growing up in Grand Blanc this is probably one of my favorite places to eat in the summer. Chili Cheese Dog with Root Beer is the perfect way to go! Easily my favorite.

CASH ONLY. Awesome place with the best hot dogs around; theyre just like the ones youd get at a baseball game, but not as exorbitantly priced. Nice outdoor tables in the sun and the shade. Great place to stop in the summer.

Fantastic!! A mouthwatering Koegels hot dog inside a perfectly prepared steamed bun...it may sound simple but it cannot be duplicated! Its definitely a hometown favorite and one-of-a-kind. Its been there for decades. It closes during the winter and once you find out its open for the year, youre there immediately. The red sauce (not ketchupis truly out-of-this-world!! Thankfully, you are able to purchase this delicious sauce by the bottle. The onions are finely chopped and paired with the red sauce somehow transforms into this incredibly fantastic flavor that I cannot describe. And dont forget the root beer. Its the best in the world. Again, not sure why, it just is! And you can buy that by the gallon (or halfto enjoy and share. I grew up in Grand Blanc and have been eating these dogs for as long as I can remember. Its always such a wonderful treat to go back there when Im in town. If I happen to take a newbie there, I always get a raised eyebrow when I pull in. Its like a permanent food truck. One bite into the dog and they are ordering more. Seriously, the best!

my family stopped for Coney dogs today at lunchtime. Im not sure what type of sauce they used, but it did NOT look or taste like Coney sauce. We visit a few times a season.. We will NOT be back.

I really like their Polish Sausage with everything, mustard and chopped onions. And nothing washes it down like a root beer. Ordering is easy - just get in line - remember that it is cash only, the wait is short, and plenty of available parking to enjoy your meal.

Always a summertime, funtime!!! Plus they have the best people working there! I was $3 short for my order. The cashier who waited on me told me not to worry about it and she would cover it so I wouldnt have to shorten my order. After we ate, I went to an ATM and returned her money to her. You just dont find caring, generous people like that these days. Thank you so much!!

The food was exceptional as always. The best hot dogs Ive ever had. And the root beer is so cold and very good. The people that work there are very friendly. No issues at all.. I want one right now just thinking about them.This place is the best in every way. Thats hard to find anymore. Try it you will be addicted.

Coneys are definitely great as is the root beer. Only recommendation is come on into the new century and get a debit or credit card reader. Not sure how many times myself or someone I know has either left without buying or took a trip to the bank for cash. Definitely an inconvenience!

Bought a half gallon of root beer... tasted like extremely old flat pop. Took one sip and couldn’t bear to take another. Their famous red sauce is marinara and a half slice of cheese on a hot dog. Hot dogs taste like they’re literally boiled. Chili was extremely dark, dry and gross. Was extremely disappointed after wasting $25 at this place hoping for some really good hot dogs seeing how this is all they sell. 😒 Do not and will never recommend

Since I was a young child, I have loved the hot dog stand! It brings on a feeling of nostalgia and no order would be complete without the delicious home brewed root beer, popcorn, and cheese dog with the original red sauce!

Terrible service and very unprofessional. I found a hair in my hotdog after the first bite and immediately spit it out. Upon asking for a refund the employees looked at me like I was crazy. I will never spend a dollar here again until they start wearing some hair nets. Super gross, now every time I pass by this place my stomach feels nauseous.

This little hotdog stand is awesome. Fresh dogs, steamed buns, amazing root beer. Truly a summertime staple! TIP: They do not accept cards so have cash. That would be my only recommendation is that the take cards. I get it no one likes the fees credit card companies charge but who carries cash?🤣

With everyone going crazy over the latest news & everyone stocking up & supplies. I was so happy when my wife came home with the first hot dogs of the year from The Hotdog Stand. All is good in the world today. Thank you for bringing some normalization back into our lifes.

Oh HECK ! I had good ones like this as a child. They go to extremes to Steam the Buns to a ‘PERFECTION’. Thats’s the secret. The big steam machine. I know people who drive past 35-40 hot dog establishments to come here. ‘I KNOW WHY’ I come from West Bloomfield to dine here.

Good coneys. Went during the rolling cruise and they were extremely busy. The waitress carried our food to us as we sat next door by the road to watch the cruise.

Great steamed buns & Koegels dogs. Wish the took credit cards in this day & age, hate when we dont have cash & have to go somewhere else. Also, in summer should have car side service for lunch until closing!

Been going to this place since they opened decades ago. Live in FL now, but every trip home, stopping here is absolutely a must do. IMO, Best hotdogs in the entire country.

The young staff was very rude. Went on hotdog Tuesday where the coneys are I believe $1.59. I ordered 6 coney dogs and for my 3 year old I asked for a coney dog without the chilli and they said they cant do that. It has to have chilli on it because the owner said must sell hotdog with chilli no exception. I said ok 1 coney dog with chilli on the side. They still wouldnt do it because they said it had to have chilli on it.After getting home the buns were all soggy and wet from the chilli.The coneydogs were disgusting! The chilli tasted mostly made of ketchup. If you like wasting your money go here! Leos coney in Grand Blanc has way better coneys then here! Btw what coney place doesnt sell french fries!?!

Good coney. Detroit style without the beans. Unique flavor. Very messy. Got it to go, but it came in a paper bag with one small tissue paper around it. Leaking sauce out both ends. Had to eat it there. Would suggest using bigger paper and totally wrapping it, or a styro container for to go orders. And add fries to the menu.

Just an FYI this place is CASH only. I hate hot dogs but my wife likes them. She always gets the chilli cheese dogs and loves them. Also the home made root beer is great. Has an extra vanilla taste to it. Would get 5 stars but sometimes they have bees outside the trash cans.

Curbside service with great rootbeer in a chilled mug. Seriously, how can you go wrong? Koegels hotdogs, mustard and ketchup with onions. Im sure the rest of menu is great but Ive never ventured from my 40 year favorite. Its CASH ONLY. Has to be great for taxes and no servicing fees🤣😂 So bring the green cuz plastic will work elsewhere just not here.

Went here with my son for the first time. Very fast and friendly service with a big smile. We got our food quickly and it was fantastic. The girl checked on us to make sure all was good. The only odd thing is I had ice in my drink and my son had none. Easily fixed...well ask for the ice next time but it was all so good we cant hardly call foul. Excited about the next time we go! Lots of fun and good food...made our day!

Make sure to bring cash!! They don’t take card what so ever. Went here for the first time today! Was good! Got the chili cheese dog with a root beer! The sauces and root beer are homemade. Staff is friendly. Root beer is amazing!! Great taste! Like I said it was my first time here, they let me have a small sample of the chili and root beer before I bought it which was really nice of them. Will be back when the summer comes around. Could have a few more things on the menu, like tatter tots, fries or a BLT. Just a few selections of hot dogs, root beer/ sodas, and bagged chips/ popcorn. Could be a bigger menu. Hot dog quality is good, it’s a mess one if you get he chili cheese one! Have some napkins handy! Goes great with their root beer!

If you like your Coney dogs real soggy and then handed to you in a bag upside down and sideways so that there a complete mess when you go to eat them, then this my friend is the place for you. Also, if you enjoy showing up to a place to eat super hungry and then being told you have to go find an ATM before you can eat, because nobody told you its cash only, then this is the place for you. Sure theres signs, but not very visible where you parked, heck yeah. Plus this place has a sauce that pretty much tastes like generic tomato paste, believe that! And there cheese! well thats pretty much tapioca pudding with cheese powder. Heck yeah my mouth is watering. Thats why I gave them 4 white stars. Get in here!

We had a great carhop & super yummy Koegal Vienna hot dogs with extra red sauce! The buns were perfectly steamed to make a fantastic meal. The rootbeer in glass mugs topped it all off perfectly! Love the Hot Dog Stand.

We eat here a couple times a month during the summer and enjoy some time at the park. We really miss them during the winter.Do try the red sauce, it is a great addition.We cant get enough of the root beer.

Have been going for over 40 years, they taste the same today, GREAT. Just a simple place to eat and relax with great root beer! I bought a jar of red sauce, but its not the same at home as it is there. They have always employed kids from here, people are almost always super friendly. Even when 1 girl working at lunch time, and she always gets the order right.

FOOD - You will not find another place quite like this on the planet. I dont know what it is exactly! The red sauce I think! It does not have that same vinegary taste like ketchup. I love that this place uses Koegel dogs. The root beer is amazingly flat and sweet... I get a mug every time. I think everything is steamed there - the onions, the dogs, the buns. I never get sick of this place! Just be aware that if you eat in your car... your car will stink of onions for a while... I sadly find the scent sort of calming.SERVICE - Quite standard! You pull in and park - they come to the door - you order - they bring it to you - you eat - you turn your car on when youre done - they take away your mess - you pay!
