It was perfect , just a little bit cold :Rooms are clean, staff is jocund.

Very bad experience. The Owner is very rude and the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting.

I stayed here 2 years ago when I was an Erasmus student. I disliked it. I slept in a room with other 11 people; not just that but the knob was broken, so we couldn’t close the door! The bathroom is not that clean, but it was ok! Overall, the place is dirty, I had to sleep with my jacket on.I gave 3 stars, because the staff were friendly, and although we couldn’t close the door, the place was safe.

Great location! Very friendly staff! Loved the common area!! But the bathrooms could be cleaner.Would still recommend, overall a good place! :-)Oh... Offering breakfast would be a huge plus ;-)

Friendly atmosphere, great place to meet new friends. Been here many times and it never failed me!

Mr Dean was lovely. The beds were comfy with no bed bugs, Mr Dean gave us lots of tips and was so friendly and had great craic. Of all the hostels we stayed at, it was my favourite - it was really social and a nice small size. Also met the love of my life there! If you go , bring Dean some pork pies.

I spent there a litte time. Room was correctly, location great. Helpful staff.

Location : Fantastic. Walk-able from the Train station and bus station.Rooms were nice and warm.The kitchen is a nice place to make a cup of tea and meet other guests. There are interesting graffiti writings on the wall which are fun to read.The entertainment room next to the kitchen contains a piano, fusball table and comfy couches.The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming.The only problem was the slightly dirty washrooms and shower rooms. The curtain in one of the shower rooms did not close completely, leading to water overflowing out of the room. The washrooms were dirty with stains and a lot of hair.

the bed is uncomfortable, the wifi is worst, and the worstest is the bathroom and toilet 😭

It is a very clean and confortable place. It has all the things you need yo visit the city. The staff is also kind and profesional. A great experience.

Very acceptable overall but it depends on what youre looking for. Roma can be a bit noisy(theyre not really insulated). Showers and toilets are not disgusting but they surely could be better. Atmosphere was nice, having a bit kitchen and a chilling area does the job when it comes to meeting new people. Location wise is also really good as it is right in the old town. Not the best Ive been to but it is a good value for money

Awesome stuff. Great atmosphere. Cosy sofas.Although the Hostel was not perfectly clean and the light in our room and one bathroom did not work. The stay was really good. And the small problems have been totally ok having a look on the price.

This was my 2nd or even 3rd (lost counttime staying at the HostelGate. Everytime I return, the staff is very friendly and willing to help. This place is very unique and in very good location as it is next the Gates of Dawn. This is me at hostel, staff has taken photos in my uniform! Thank you!

Ok cheap place i have room alone 4 beds. Posible chose if you coming late. And have car parking place free in central of Vilnius

Perfect location and friendly staff, very comfy place!

We just stayed one night, which was very fine. Take a locker with you if you are scared of loosing your luggage, otherwise it was possible for us to just let them in the main office. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Nice place in the heart of old city! Cozy and friendly hostel with a kitchen and common place.

The hostel is close to the train and bus station,about 10 minutes. Has a nice, common area. Sauna and jacuzzi is €5. The girl working on the night shift is really nice and printed my boarding pass over midnight.

Good location. Good price. Staff is very helpful and doesnt speak russian (it is not bad or good, just warn you). Bed linen is very old and worn out, blanket and pillow had stains. Spider net is at windows. Only 4 showers and 4 toilets for many rooms and many beds.

Stayed there one night. Rooms were clean and bedsheets were provided. The Location was also pretty good. Lots to do in the area.

My favourite hostel in Vilnius! Great for working, great for socializing and relaxing, comfortable, friendly place!

Most friendly and fun place. Many happy people were watching football in break room. Kitchen is equipped with all necessary tools. Location cant be better than that. I have good memories from Hostelgate place.

Great location and great facilities. Nice easy atmosphere to relax in when you arent exploring Vilnius.Cant even begin to tell you how welcoming Dean made me feel, always engaging and offering advice for the rest of my trip. Thinking about coming back to Vilnius to study and theres only 1 place I plan to stay!

Normal Lithuanian hostel. Not very clean but there are everything for stop. +1 euro taxes to price!

Overall very bad experience as it is very noisy to get sleep even after midnight. There is no quiet hours, so people are still running in the hallway shouting, and the room is very much not sound proof so you can easily hear them. Also the door of the room cannot even be closed. The reception is not around for most of the time so not easy to get help if you need. It can do more work to keep the place clean and organized.

Couldnt have dreamt of a better looking hostel. The common area is cozy, the kitchen has good facilities, theres a small yet nice balcony, and best of all, the guy running the place is awesome!Tl;drIf I go back to Vilnius, its because of this hostel!

+: perfect location, really cheap price (€8 per night in August), sufficient amount of toilets and showers, friendly staff-: dirty kitchen but probably its the irresponsible guests, expensive laundry service, asks for key deposit (not mentioned beforehand)

The staff is helpfull. But he forgot to give me a new bedsheet if you dont ask him ☺ . For the cheapest hostel in center of Vilnius old town, I would recommend you to stay here. The location is good, easy to get here by public transport from airport.

This place is so rediculous. The owner is incredibly rude and I was so unpleasant with such a weird atmosphere. Not even worth one star.

Stayed in this hostel for three nights. The facilities were ok, some things we off but they seemed to be trying to fix it, like the fact that not all showers had hot water. Kitchen was well equipped, theres a sauna and a jacuzzi available for an extra fee. The decor is pretty cool, and there is a great view to a nearby courtyard. Loved the recommendations they gave me of things to do and restaurants.

Perfect stay! Was here only for one night but got good sleep, facilities were really good and Dean runs the place like a god!

Amazing place for great price and its right in the city center. Spent only one night there, but I met so many wonderful people during that short time, got a blueberry cake from Japanese guests, watched a movie with random people, talked over coffee and tea... The place has a soul, starting from colourful walls, through cozy balcony for smoking and a pink table football, to nice beds. I stayed in the 10 ppl bedroom and I cant complain. Im definitely coming back the next time I go to Vilnius.

(Hostelgates Privates- its ok. But it lost a star because of only getting one key (asked for twofor the room - that doesnt work when there are 2 people wholl be going different places.

The location is good and the hostel has potential, but I found a few things (not working doors, broken accessories, dirty kitchen, people using common areas as a working/office placethat makes me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Waaay better than most hostels. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. The bed was better than many hotels I have stayed at in the Baltics. I stayed in a 5-bed room (no bunks!and it was awesome.

Very nice place, the people at the reception are nice. Before entering, it is kindly ask to remove your shoes and to walk in socks which is a great pleasure...

Nice and clean hostel. The common room and kitchen are very cool, although they were upstairs, far away from rooms and reception, so there were not many people. Also there were no music. But still we hung out there.

Very cheap, but quite neglected: doors and beds are loud and screaky, some rooms are smelly. Better take a look at the room before paying for it!

A good hostel whose location is between the city centre and the bus/train station. Great facilities, big kitchen, big TV, 2 chill out areas. Sauna available for a price. Staff friendly.

Very good location indeed. However, my room was noisy. Showers are small and unfortunately I found them rather dirty and smelly. Staff was very friendly. For one night is is ok.

Hostelgate saved my holiday from the first day. I walked in at 7:50am, expecting to meet my tour, only to be told by one of the staff that the tour was currently in Tallinn. I couldnt have bumped into a more helpful, insightful and humourous lady anywhere in Lithuania. She not only helped me book my flights to meet my tour in Helsinki that evening, but booked my travel onwards once I arrived back at this hostel at the end of the week as well as telling me the best places to go in Vilnius for the 4 hours I had in the city.After a catch up and a laugh meeting her again today (as well as a rest in one of the very well presented and comfortable rooms, with a great sociable common room and good facilities), I can wholeheartedly say this is one of the best hostels I have had the pleasure to deal with. My only complaint is that I havent been able to stay the night and sample breakfast, due to the foul up by my travel agent that caused the whole mess described above. Definitely the best place to stay if your thinking of visiting this welcoming, funky city.

Really nice hostel in the city centre, right next to the Gate of Dawn. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is a really nice kitchen (coffee and tea are complementaryand cosy living room in the upper floor. If you plan on visiting Vilnius do not hesitate and book a bed here!
