Hostel of the sun in Quarto

Snug, homey, cheerful hostel, adorable staff, I had an awesome time last summer there. Now that the cold season and the bad weather are around the corner I would definitely recommend it for its convivial atmosphere, its warmth and hospitality, and its proximity to the city centre.

A real great hostel experience full of character, with friendly staff, good breakfast, and a perfect central location.

Ive stayed here multiple times. Once back in 2017, and now 09/2022. The location is great, but the facilities are awful. None of the showers drain properly. Just a very average hostel. Dont expect much. The breakfast is good though.

It a good hostel to stay in, but it honestly feels the place has seen better times. Lots of random stuff is sort of broken or actually broken. Otherwise the staff was awesome, the location great and the ambience with all the people great. Just needs a bit of an overhaul.

Really enjoyed my stay in this hostel. Perfect for solo travelers and to meet people from around the world. The host was probably the funniest Ive ever had. They also have the option for vegan breakfast which is really great. Loved it!

I do not recommend this hostel to anyone. This is the worst travel experience that my friends and I have experienced. Our flight was delayed to Naples and we were locked out of the hostel without a code to get into the building. Luckily another guest was arriving at the same time and let us in. We were not notified there was a key left for us. Once we arrived to the reception desk we saw a key with my name on it, however, the key DID NOT WORK to get in the room. We ended up sleeping on the couch/chairs in the lobby and woke up covered in bug bites. The next morning, after explaining our situation, we were told we would have to pay for at least half of our stay, although the receptionist checked our key and saw that it did not work. I do not recommend this hostel to anyone. They clearly do not care about their guests and are only money oriented.

Great location in Naples. We had a private room and it was only £25 per person. Huge room with big en-suite and air con! Fab

The staff is AMAZING! You guys are the best! Bathrooms could be cleaner. Breakfast makes up for it, included in bed price and vegan option as well. Great place overall. 100% recommend!

If I was to describe this hostel in one word, Id say "friendly". The staff was super nice and welcoming and (perhaps partly because of thisthe other guests I met were also just as open and warm as well. The facilities are what you can expect from the price you pay - not anything too fancy, and a little worn down, but I thought the atmosphere of the place weighed up for that.Breakfast was (to my great delight 😃included, which isnt the rule for hostels in my experience. It was simple as served as an excellent start of the day 😁If youre looking for a hostel with a great location and atmosphere in the heart of Naples, Hostel of the Sun is an excellent option (:

Its a good hostel, the kitchen is very small (just 2 pp at the same time but as eating outside is cheap people dont really cook that much.Its what you expect for the price, nothing big to complain about.

Everything was fine, but I must admit the atmosphere has let me down a little. Maybe because the season was just starting for Naples in the end of April and there werent so many tourists in the hostel. I wouldnt recommend breakfast there unless you like cold scrambled eggs. Huge advantage is the localization, so if thats your priority you should definitely consider staying there.

Its okay. Dont expect great hostel, rather a cheapish place to crash. The rooms are too close to the common area which is annoying in the nighttime and mornings if you want to sleep a little later than 8.I met friends staying in another hostel for the same price that was definitely better than this one offering daily theme nights, free pasta evening, etc. The breakfast was rather disappointing, but enough I guess.

Great authentic hostel with very nice lounges, but with a small kitchen.If you love a great breakfast you will be disappointed with white cold bread, a small portion of eggs and dry bacon.

Standard hostel, thats centrally located. A reasonable walking distance to the train station that can take you around the gulf.

Best choice in Naples, good price and close everything with little walk, shuttle bus and metro is close. Little hard found, follow the egi gas sign. Need go to reception to 7th floor. Check in very fast. My room in 6th floor. The room is clean and the bed comfortable. Have I the room toilet and shower. The main room is have very good design, sweethome feeling. Breakfast have 2 option, is good.

Best thing about my trip to naples was staying at this hostel! I had a great time! Everything was perfect! The rooms, the breakfast, the service, the relaxing atmosphere and of course the nice and friendly staff! Ill definitely come back!

I loved my stay at this hostel. The staff was very nice, helpful and gave a lot of useful tips. The breakfast was very good and the overall vibe was really cool. I would stay here again for sure!

Great hostel, room was spacious and clean and the staff was really helpful and showed us on map all the place worth visiting. The localization is in nice and safe area close to the see and all main atractions.

Had some last minute problems with out reservations in the middle of the night. Called hostel of the sun, they answered promptly and were amazing. We were able to check into a great private room within 20 minutes. Best customer service Ive had in a long time. Would 100% recommend.

Nest Hostel experience of my life so far. The community spaces are great, you always get in contact with other visitors. The staff is very chill and always helpful with insider tips for the city.

We had a great experience at this hostel. The staff was very friendly and helpful with recommending places to go. There is a social vibe making it easy to chat with other guests and get food or drinks together.

I visited here right before the pandemic - late January 2020. It was off season traveling, so the vacancy was high and prices were low.The staff were extremely helpful and generous! The rooms were near and clean, and spacious. There was complimentary breakfast, and a kitchen to use if you wanted.Notes:1.There was a cute puppy, very friendly to guests, but not invasive.2. The bathrooms were huge, and nicely designed.3. The hostel had multiple floors, and there were social events in the evenings.PS: its a little hard to find the hostel because its inside a building. There were no big signs, and the main gate of the building was locked.

Perfect. Simple as that. From the cleaness to the atmosphere, the location and the wonderful staff, my experience was wonderful. I cannot compliment enough. Every small problem (e.g clogged sinkwas addressed quickly and efficiently. Check in was fast and welcoming and the breakfast every morning was above and beyond. But above all, is the staff. Sarah, Luca and the others are the friendliest, most ready to help and hard working guys I have seen in any hostel I stayed in. "Hostel of the sun Napoli" is the greatest hostel I stayed in. My only complaint is that there isnt "Hostel of the sun Rome".

Clean, well-located, friendly staff, good showers. Everything you want from a hostel. Breakfast included, even a vegan option. Better during busier times as they have a bar in the hostel but fantastic as a place to lay your head whilst visiting Naples.

Friendliest staff of all Italy! Ive been here in October 2019 for 3 or 4 days in a shared room with 6 other people. The brekfast was great, its in a really nice location (looked safe even at night), next to train station, bus and ferry stops. On my trip I stayed in more than 3 cities in Italy, but this was one of the best stays I had. Definitely would stay here again if I have the chance!

The hostel is small but really really cool. They always have really good music playing. I met really nice people there and we had dinner all together almost every night. Shoutout to Clara, the receptionist, she was really nice and helpful to us. We had so much fun and totally worth it!

1. Arriving at the hostel I was greeted by a very friendly lady called Sara who showed me all of the directions to the hostel and was absolutely amazing throughout and so friendly.2. The room was nice and cool, big beds lots of storage place and very clean.3. The kitchen is decent and there is place to store your food, breakfast is fantastic!!!! and the price of the hostel is so reasonable.4. Unfortunately though did have the worst night sleep between having a selfish c×w in my room the noisy aircon and the reception phone ringing all night but thats hostel life! Great hostel! Friendly people, nice common area to meet people, cheap drinks, good location.Rooms were okay. You have one of these big lockers that go under your bed (so a lot of space to make your own messand each bed has 2 plugs to charge your phone etc. All you need.Would definitely recommend! This is what you need in a hostel.

My first time in a hostel. It was fantastic. We had the private room and it was spacious and clean. The public room was lovely and met some great people. Breakfast was basic but lovely! Exactly what we needed before going out exploring.Good hub location for heading out to Pompei or ferry / train day trips.Would highly recommend and will be staying again on next trip to Italy.

Staff are super friendly and nice, they try to remember your name and always greet you when you enter into the common area! They also seem to know a lot about the area and are really helpful with where to go and where to eat (we got a detailed map on arrival). The rooms are clean and neat and bathrooms are usually clean, however there needs to be more bathrooms or at least more toilets on the floors...Breakfast is really nice and generous! The common area is also cool, lots of games and there is a small kitchen which you can cook in. A really nice, convenient place to stay in Naples! :)

If you want to have fun and explore Naples, this is the best place!!! The staff were so friendly and the other guests were social and interesting. The bar built into the hostel is a blast. It’s well located and easy to walk to castles along the coast. Thanks for the awesome stay :)

Really enjoyed our stay at this hostel! The staff were amazing and told us about many local gems when it came to restaurants, bars, and neighbourhoods to check out. They also really engaged with the guests, hanging out with us both within in and outside of the hostel! The atmosphere was really chill and made our stay in Naples feel like we were locals and not just tourists!

I had a fantastic stay here. Staff were incredibly friendly and super helpful. They directed me to all the places to eat Pizza and even some off the track not in the tourist books. FYI - pizza in Naples is DELICIOUS. I had a room to myself which was very clean, had a large bed and toilet + bathroom. All very well priced too. Met some other cool people here whom I did a day trip with. I highly recommend this place. Internet available and beers were cheap.

Nice, clean hostel. The staff was very friendly and knew everything about the area. The lounge and free dinner gave it a social atmosphere where its trivial to meet new people, but its not a drink-until-you-puke party hostel. When I stayed there was a mix of young and older adults. Out of the six highly reviewed hostels Ive stayed at in Europe this is easily tied for best (with Lookout! Lisbon).

This hostel has very friendly staff available 24/7. They have convenient plugins at each bed. The showers were great as they were large and felt as if you were at home in a full bathroom. Free breakfast was great! Also, the location of the hostel is quite convenient for exploring by foot.

This was one of the best hostel stays. Place is nice and clean. Bathroom are neat. No smelly beds. A bar. Common Kitchen. Free break fast. There are private rooms also.And best part is the staff. Elsa at reception was so charming and full of life, that you just feel like you belong. Such a nice welcome. She was a darling to everyone. Not fake smile but genuine energy. She likes what she does and maintains place really good. She can be the best guide for your trip.Thanks Elsa for all the help and guidance, will come back some time again.

Amazing hostel! Great atmosphere at living room, met people from all around the world! Staff was soooo cool, special kiss for Sara! Nice free breakfast, but my favourite thing was that each common bathroom had individual showers!! All and all five freaking stars 😊😊😊

Good location and great atmosphere.Great backpacking vibes.The bar is reasonably but the prices are good.The staff is superb.Unfortunately the majority of the rooms are on different floors from the common area, but its just a matter of climbing a few stairs.

i really enjoyed my time at this very affordable hostel. each bed has its own power and locker. clean and functional showers with plenty of hot water. free breakfast. lots of interesting people coming through with an outstanding staff that will help you plan your day. FREE coffee.

The front desk was very kind and helpful during check-in and very willing to help us with any future issues we might have. The breakfast had a nice spread and was very tasty. The rooms were tidy and cute and the bathroom was very clean and functional. About a 12 min walk to downtown Naples.

Everything you need to be comfortable in a hostel. Great atmosphere, from the check-in the staff makes you feel like home. That day they had free pasta for dinner which was a huge plus. Air conditioner in the rooms which in summer is so needed. Nice breakfast, the people you meet, the little bar, the use of TV.Very nice hostel! I would definitely recommend it and stay here again, the receptionist Raffaele was extremely kind and helpful.Very good location!

Very friendly staff on reception, comfy beds, nice atmosphere. They ordered pizza for us which was awesome and could buy drinks. Great free breakfast. A bit hard to find, and other half of hostel is a few floors down in the apartment block. The only strange part is having to pay to use the lift? (Which you’ll want to)

One of the best Hostel Ive ever stayed at. Very clean and the staff are both kind and helpful. Anytime you have questions they are more than happy to help. They also provide a delicious dinner on Tuesday and Thursday. Every evening people are encouraged to interact with each other and the staff are always encouraging to help people make friends. If you want to stay somewhere that you can enjoy relaxing inbetween trips into the city this where you should stay.

Very friendly, clean, and welcoming place. Their bar and community space feels like your at a good friends house. Very good hosts and guests. If your and American and have only heard about Hostels this place is a great first stay. Cozy spot.
