Nice and clean hostel. Friendly and helpful owner. Close to the historic downtown. Rooms are big and bed and comfortable. Hot showers. Good internet.

I stayed at the Hostel three times and I always felt really good and enjoyed my stay. It was always a great relaxing atmosphere with the owner Sandra and her volunteers. The place was always clean. The bead’s are awesome and I never had a that good blanket in my past 6 months of backpacking. Ohu and it was so nice to use the kitchen, the pods and pans have a really high quietly, definitely not what I was used to in the other hostels.As I went to Galapagos I was able to leave my Hiking stuff at the hostel at a looked room and Sandra even gave me a snorkel so I didn’t had to buy or rent one for Galapgos.I can really recommend this place, it’s one of the best hostels where i have been.

El hostel no está en el Centro Histórico, se encuentra a 1,5km de la Plaza Grande y a 1,9km de La Mariscal. Es una zona fea y peligrosa de noche, hay que moverse si o si en taxi. El hostel en sí es muy bonito, habitaciones espaciosas, una linda terraza, tiene cocina grande y equipada, comedor, sala de TV. Los baños y duchas un poco pequeños, pero están bien. La atención de la dueña es lo mejor de todo!! Súper amable, servicial y dispuesta a ayudarte.

Hot showers, great wifi, clean and spacious rooms, and overall great atmosphere. Sandra is an awesome host who will help with anything you need and she cooks a mean breakfast!

I can highly recommend this hostal! The location is TOP and compared to all the other hostals in South America, which I visited , I felt very welcomed and even more important: safe. It felt like a small, quiet but also very social place. It´s not a party hostal (which for me was a good thing!and not too crowded so it felt very familiar from the very beginning. Sandra is a crazy, loving woman, highly passioned about welcoming people from all over the world at her place, always ready for yokes:D The breakfast is also very nice, freshly made and very cheap! And also the kitchen has enough space to cook for yourselfe. The teracce is wonderful with a view towards the Teleférico up to Rucu Pichincha and the place all in all is very clean.If I will come to Quito again, I´ll visit hostal Revolution again. Thanks for your hospitality Sandra, it was a pleasure meeting you and staying at your hostal.

sandra, the owner, is the worst person in ecuador.. Her-hatefulness was shocking; fueled by a sense that absolutely everyone ( volunteers, guests, strangers, have done her wrong and that she must pre emptively retaliate.).Sandra, a croatian canadian immigrant in ecuador hates what she calls BROWN people. luckily,

Sandra is a great host! The rooms were clean and spacious. Lots of clean bathrooms. Breakfast in the mornings was great. The volunteers who worked here were also very friendly and helpful.

I had an excellent stay at Hostel Revolution ! Everything is so clean and so good : there is hot water in the showers, fast internet connection, a homemade and good breakfast, a TV room, a huge rooftop with a wonderful view, massive and very confortable beds in the dormitories, big lockers, a full equiped kitchen and of course Sandra, its lovely host. I recommend this hostel ! The quality of my stay was excellent. Don’t hesitate :)

My boyfriend and I loved it here! Sandra is such a gem and was so accommodating. Clean place, hot showers, delicious breakfast, amazing kitchen. Really welcoming environment while still able to have alone time. Quiet at night.

I have stayed in dozens of hostels throughout South America, and in Ecuador, and this one is my favourite. Its extremely clean, has great wifi and comfortable beds, a variety of cheap beers and is in a great location (which is much safer than many of the other hostels). Sandra is extremely accommodating with loads of advice for things to do and see in and around Ecuador. A no brainer to stay here.

Hostel Revolution is our favourite place to stay in Quito, and one of the best hostels weve been to anywhere! Great staff, delicious breakfast included, clean, comfortable rooms and the best hostel kitchen weve seen.

Los recepcionistas del hostal no hablan español. Si les preguntas algo en español, te responden en inglés. Considerando que Ecuador tiene como lengua oficial el español, lo veo como una mera vergüenza y un acto muy ofensivo hacia los huéspedes de habla castellana y los extranjeros que hablan bien la lengua local. Es más, parece ser un lugar en el que una gringa, la propietaria del hostal, intenta ganar plata, sin utilizar ni siquiera una vez el español en el trato con los huéspedes que hablan esta lengua.Nada que decir que, mera vergüenza de hostal y de persona de propietaria.Si no hablas ingles en este hostal, no te van a poder atender, y eso en Ecuador, un país hispano!

The dorms are very cozy. Nice bed and duvet. The actually make your bed every day. It is weird but it feels so homely that you feel closer to your roommates. They have a multifunctional gym machine and little gym area. Rooftop, guitar, maracas and a tv with loads of recent movies. The hostel is kept very well, cleaned regularly. And for the price breakfast was included as well which was really decent, got up excited every morning because of it. Location is great and hostess was excellent, very professional and clearly looks after the place. One of my favourite hostel during my travels.

I had quite an adventurous experience in Quito climbing Pichincha and veered off the trail on the way down. I was able to send off an email to the hostel that I was lost. Saundra and Wout went above and beyond to get help. Never climb Pichincha alone! The hostel is clean, centrally located, and not a party hostel. Theres a sense of community amongst travelers. Highly recommended!

Great place, no wonder its popular. Central between old town and trendy bar area Marescal. V good for local eateries. Great staff, super atmosphere. Comfortable rooms

This is a really nice hostel to stay in. Sandra is a helpful host and the place is very clean. The WiFi is not too fast, but it works. There is a roof with a nice view, and the kitchen is excellent. There are many spices and cooking utensils to use. Finally, there is a free breakfast. Just watch out when walking around with valuables outside the hostel as it is still Quito!

The beds are really nice. It was very quiet when I was there which was exactly what I wanted. There’s a nice rooftop where I had my breakfast every morning. WiFi is decent. Nice big and clean kitchen. Location is good for walking to a lot of sights, however taking a taxi everywhere is recommended.

Auberge de jeunesse très sympa avec des personnes très accueillantes qui vous mettent directement à laise au sein de ce lieu. De plus, les dortoirs sont très confortables !

Its a nice hostal with everything you need. Maybe some thick, dark curtains would be better :).

Lovely, small hostel in an area with plenty of food options, and within walking distance of lots of interesting things to see (markets, museums, the basilica...Not a party hostel, which is great, because It means you can actually get a decent nights sleep. For the best value, make your own meals in the well-equipped kitchen and take them up to the roof terrace to eat while looking out over the green, green mountains. Heavenly. Also, they will arrange pick-up and drop-off for the airport, which is pricey compared to the bus, but its also a lot faster. If you have a flight that gets in after 5pm, I definitely recommend it, because the whole customs, immigration, and baggage claim process can take up to 2 hrs from when you land, and then you add another 2-2.5 hrs onto that for the bus, and reception at the hostel closes at 11.The one thing that does take getting used to about this place is that the bathrooms seem to have been designed for maximum air flow and minimum privacy. A bit like summer camp. But hey, it builds character, right?

Es un ambiente tranquilo, muy limpio, los chicos de la recepción hablan inglés y español, entonces es perfecto para los extranjeros, y queda muy cerca a sitios estratégicos como la basílica.

A nice independent hostel well run with cosy rooms. You will have to climb some stairs but the view from the very top is spectacular. They have the best stocked kitchen Ive ever seen in a hostel. The owner and the staff will offer tips on places to go including how to get to the equator. A nice bar and a really good vibe to the place. A bit tricky to find but definitely well worth it.

Kitchen is extremely well equipped, best Ive seen in 7 years. Markets close by.

Great place if you like to have peace and quiet. Comfortable beds and plenty of shower/bathroom stalls. Nice quiet location too.

I searched the cheapest hostel in the area, and got the cheapest AND the best. This place is seriously the best option, especially if youre an English speaking tourist. The owner is bilingual, knows the area, and will call you a cab whenever you need. Theres a fully equipped kitchen, VERY clean dorms or private rooms, and a bar downstairs where you can get a beer or a shot for $1.50 at happy hour. If I ever come back to Quito, I will be staying here one hundred percent.

Super friendly and helpful staff. They have happy hour and there is a huge selection of movies in a cosy living room. Facilties were clean. Well equipped kitchen. There is a couple of computer that can be used.

As we are sitting here in the TV room, hanging out with our new travel friend from Finland we called Sandra, the owner of this hostel, over to let her know we felt at home here. We actually stayed 2 nights, then left to Otavalo and stayed a few nights there while doing excursions. Now we are back in Quito, and we didnt think twice about coming right back here. The entire hostel is impeccable. Not exaggerating. The kitchen is a joy to cook in, everything is clean, nice and organized, so you can easily cook here and store anything you buy at the store. The hostal has a perfect combination of friendly/social and quiet at night. This is NOT a party hostal, but it is a hostal that you can have a couple of beers in during dinner (with their happy hours pricesand chat with other backpackers as well and the owner and the volunteers who work here. We would always come back here if we are back in Quito.

The cleanest hostel Ive ever stayed in. The kitchen is immaculate and well-equipped. Oh, and the beds? Theyre like clouds and theyre made every day! Theres a good, friendly vibe with helpful staff but its also fairly quiet (read: not a party hostel), so its a great place to chill out and get your rest on.

Es un estupendo lugar, pero en la plaza suele haber inseguridad, por lo que recomiendo estar muy pendiente de sus cosas, no coloquen nada en sus bolsillos traseros y no se acerquen mucho a las multitudes.

This hostel has big, comfortable beds and a nice, chill vibe. The owner, Sandra, is not only good looking - she is also a very nice person who will even record English soccer for you to watch after returning from strolling around in el Centro Historico.
