Hostel Kyoto Kizuna in Gose

I’ve stayed here twice now, 3.5 years apart and both times it was an excellent experience, would come back again!Clean and quiet, the bunks are so private and roomy it seems more like a capsule hotel than hostel (but the price of a hostel!)

This was my 4th trip to Kizuna! I absolutely love the vibe and friendly atmosphere.

夜も遅いし、朝も早いので、ゲストハウスでええねん。。出来立ての新しいところでいろいろぴかぴかでしたぁぁ。フリーのコーヒーに、、持ってきたココナッツオイルを入れて飲んでると、、なにやら、高槻ジャズストリートTシャツ着用のお方がいらっしゃる。。思わずお声かけしてしまったら、、東京からいらっしゃったそうで、、いろいろ関西ミュージシャンの話で盛り上がってしまいました＿|￣|○おなじように、関西ジャズに魅せられるお方っていらっしゃるのだなぁあという、絆？を感じました。ゲストハウス　絆おそるべし。。

Great comfy and clean place. Free wifi provided. The showers and bathrooms along with the toilet were all nice and clean. Laundry is available for a decent price and you can buy detergent here as well. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

My favourite hostel so far. Close to Gojo (subwaystation and a few good finds (Kyoto beer lab, Walden woods, Lorimer). The staff were really helpful. Especially with my questions about getting around on buses. They have heaps of information for tourists on the walls and some foodie recommendations. The beds were also spacious and comfortable! 😊😊

Great place to stay. Its like a hotel. The location is quiet and you can rent a bike to get to the highlights easy and quick.

Excellent location and easy 15 mins walk to Kyoto station, great amenities, a nice breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Had a wonderful experience staying at this cute hostel. The bed was great and the room was quiet. Loved the shower facilities. Definitely recommended!

With this price range, youre getting what you get. And I say this in a very nice way.A tad bit far away from Kyoto JR station, about 10 minutes walk if you have non-Asian sized legs or 15 if you have Asian legs like me. Near convenient stores, restaurants and some fun places that are accessible both on foot and bicycle.You stay in a dorm-style bunk bed room with 5 other people, which kinda put your stuff on a security risk, but theres a personal locker in front of each room for your most valuables so you should put them there. The only thing I wish from my stay at Kizuna is a little bit bigger locker so I could put my laptop there.Other than that, Kizuna is the best hostel Ive ever had the pleasure to stay at in my life.The staffs are super friendly and young ( even around my age - 20s and ready to help you. Its a Japanese hostel, but they can use and talk in English with no problem at all. Just ask, theyll help. Need to find a place for dinner? Or a place to drink with your travel buddies? They have an entire logbook in English of recommended places for you. Tl;dr: just ask!Service is, well, too good and readily available for the price you pay. Some requires you to pay extra other than room fees, like Shoe drying ( I got surprised-rain-bombed during my trip in Aug, 2019 and that totally saved my shoes ), Breakfast ( need improvements ), Laundry ( washing is free, but you need to rent the Dryer and buy detergent - ask the staff! ), Bicycle renting ( Half-day option available!! ). The staff will inform you which costs and which are free, so rest assured!Other than that, Im happy. Let me you about the word Kizuna. It means connection, it means bond between human and human. And Im glad to be able to have new bonds with the amazing staff members at Kizuna, two lovely Brits ladies and old-man Hiro whos nothing less but an amazing human being. I got to know them so much just through a few talks, opened my eyes and perspective and give me experience that is unobtainable anywhere else.If you prefer quiet, old-school "I just wanna go sightseeing" travel, Kizuna is...still your place to go. But really, come to Kizuna, sit at the bar and have some chat. Meet some new people. Get yourself some new companions if you travel solo like I did. Thats really what makes Kizuna a special place and the place Ill always longing to return next time Im in Kyoto.

Im so happy to stay in here because i meet so many people from another country. The staff is very helpfull and warm welcome. I like the dinning room desain very minimalist and comfy. Bed room and toilet is very clean and comfy with best price.

The rooms are clean, the staff are pretty young and really easy to talk to. The amenities they provide for the price are also a huge bonus. Additionally, they host a variety of fun events so ask the front desk if you have a chance! Highly recommend it!

A really nice place to stay. The rooms were well designed and comfortable. The shower and washroom areas were very clean and well kept. The hostel staff were incredibly nice, friendly and a joy to talk to. Well worth the price.

Excellent hoste. Very clean and provides all the comforts you need. 15 minutes walk from Kyoto Station but can be a bit of a hassle if lugging heavy bags.

Amazing hostel! Very helpful staff, nice beds, calm place. Showers and toilets are extremely clean. You can also do your laundry for only 300 yens! Recommend it !

One of my favorite Hostel in Kyoto. Very nice place to stay. The Hostel is clean, new and good organized. Well speaking English Staff. Not so far from Kyoto Station about 10-15min to walk.

Great facilities, handy breakfast and bar area. Free WiFi, comfy beds. Basic but modern, mostly new and very clean. Bargain price. Easy reach of Kyoto train station on foot. Situated north of the station, which is where most of the key attractions can be found.

Very lovely place, we enjoyed every night we spent there. we should have stayed more nights instead of transferring to another hostel. every question we had they answered. it was a very lovely place we will be going back next time we are in Kyoto we definitely recommend you stay here.
