WORST HOSTEL EVER

Nice guest, but very very very bad staffs. The are lier, nauseous, qnd mad. The manager (old womencome every 5pm and she cant speek english at all. She always pick on someone. She woke up my friends pushing the door loudly in the morning! She is lier and mad. I check out at 11, i had train ticket at 20:00, i put my stuff in luggage room and stay in kitchens, she always came with her Translator and ask me “why you are here? Leave asap! You should go rn!”And she is mad. I promise she need psychiatrist at least for 3 years. She told to her son (translatorthat we were drunk, in the event that we just drink beer, thats it!! She hallucinated that we woke up at 5 a.m, pour boiling Water in the floor !!!! Omg! She is stupid!Just never book this hostel. I promise you, you can find somewhere more friendly in Rovaniemi.WORST HOSTEL, WORST MANAGER, WORST STAFFS EVER!!

I was there for 6 days and it was perfect, the guy at the reception was extremely kind, all was super clean, the kitchen is very big, the beds are very good, very close to the Santa village, they give you advice for northern lights, taxi.All was great I wish you all the best, thank you for everything

For being a solo traveler, staying in hostels for years, i dont really expect much. But ive had hostels in asia who were way better. Beds are hard. Location wise is only good for Santas village but expect to pay 30 euros to get to the hostel back with a taxi. Most busses dont drive after 18:00. Also the shower area for men is open. Which means its 3 showers next to each other, but open. So no privacy and no lock on the shower room. Also lockers are fairly small. Couldnt lock my camera stuff in their.But the people that i met here made my experience way better. Also the woman that worked here made it enjoyable.I transfered to a hostel in the city and i find it way better for most stuff

Spacious, clean and affordable. Near to Santa Village and airport. It has every basic stuff that you need. Although I only stayed for a night, it was a good night of sleep on the comfy and warm bed. I recommend this place for all.

First of all I can’t understand people who are giving less stars because the staff does not speak english. I have only good things to say about this place.My daughter’s car battery was so bad that the car did not start in the freezing weather (-25 C). The hotel manager was kind enough to arrange some help. His very friendly colleague first came to help with his car and starting cables. That did not work but the next night he charged the battery for the whole night. That did not help either and finally we had to call the tow truck. The fact that he could not start the car did not diminish the fact that he really did his utmost to help. We are very grateful for this service that many people would not have bothered to arrange. Omistaja pariskunta oikein ystävällisiä. Paikan sisäsiivous tarvitsisi opastusta? Suihkut, wc.t likaisia hyi! Emme suosittele karavaanareille, piha on pieni, varsinkin ison vaunun kera.

Olimme liikkeellä matkailuautolla. Paikka näytti hiljaiselta, vaikka autoja pihassa. Epäilin, että kiinni, mutta kun soitin heidän numeroon, sieltä tulikin henkilökuntaa vastaan. Palvelu ystävällistä joskin englanniksi. Yhteiset tilat siistit ja vasta remontoitu. Löytyi pesutupa, suhkut, sauna, keittiö ja monta vessaa. Rauhallinen ja ystävällinen paikka.

Karavaanarina mieltäisin paikan ehkä enemmän matkaparkiksi kuin leirintäalueeksi, sillä karavaaneja varten ei ilmeisesti ollut muita erityisiä palveluita kuin sähkö. Palvelu oli sinänsä erittäin ystävällistä, mutta paikka oli jotenkin vähän epämääräinen karavaanarinäkökulmasta, kyse on kaiketi perheen pyörittämästä hostellista jonka pihassa ollaan. Täytyy kuitenkin todeta että paikka oli hyvin edullinen.

Our camper came here, the owner is very friendly, the bathroom and kitchen are very clean, and it is easy to go to Santa Claus Village. The store offers discounted activities such as snowmobiles and dog sleds. When we arrived there were 5 RVs in the parking lot and the business was good. And the price of their sauna and hot tub is very cheap. Guests staying at the hotel are 20 euros. As far as I know, other merchants around the price are more than 40 euros.

Wir haben Ibedcity als WoMo Stellplatz genutzt. Die Anmeldung ging reibungslos. Jedoch war es auch nicht sehr günstig hier zu stehen. Die Inhaber sind zwar sehr nett, jedoch lässt hier die Sauberkeit sehr zu wünschen übrig. Es war teilweise schon so, dass man nicht wusste, wo man sein Zeug ablegen soll. Sehr Schade. Wir würden Ibedcity nicht mehr besuchen.

Freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit.Jedoch für das was man bekommt sehr teuer.Stellplatz und Strom wird separat berechnet mit knapp 40€ pro Tag.Dazu dann Nutzung der Dusche und Küche.Duschen mit Sauna. Sehr sauber.1 km weiter ist eine Shell Tankstelle. Dort kann man mit Wohnwagen oder Wohnmobil für 15€ die Nacht stehen. Inkl. Strom.

Fantastic hostel. 8 of us stayed for an evening. The host was waiting for us and made us feel very welcome on arrival. The beds in each room were private, came with their own curtains and linen was included without an extra charge. The kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean. Do expect a shared shower space, however. The hostel manager also provided us with some excellent locations to visit and special discount at a local gift store.It’s also in a perfect location - 5-10 min drive from Santa Claus Village.

Great experience at this hostel - the host was very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean and sheets and towels were provided. The common kitchen is big and there’s room in the fridge to store your own food. Plenty of bathrooms and showers. Would go there again.

This hostel is fantastic. It’s warm, well-equipped and very welcoming. The owner is such a gracious host, the kitchen is amazing and the rooms are clean, heated and super comfortable!I would definitely recommend this place :)

Es war leider nicht sauber genug. Wir waren die einzigen Gäste und ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob es überhaupt richtig geöffnet war. Allerdings ändert es nichts daran, dass eine grundsätzliche Ordnung und Sauberkeit vorhanden sein sollte, wenn ich vermiete. Zumal der Preis nicht gerade sehr niedrig war. Sauna und auf Homepage beschriebener Hot Tube waren nicht nutzbar.

Really disappointing experience - the staff (barely spoke Englishwas super rude - instead of replying to a few questions about the accommodation claimed that they had other things to do. We had an issue with the booking on arrival (not our fault, after hours of telephone conversations with the booking company managed to solve the problem in our favour - seems like Ibedcity had set their account up wrongly on the booking website which triggered the problem). The member of the Ibedcity team totally refused to assist or look into possible solutions (again, the mistake was done by them but they did nothing to fix it). We arrived a couple of hours before the checkin time but were allowed to leave the suitcases in till the beds were ready. When we came back there was nobody at the registration desk for HOURS with no direction left for us on how to find our beds (?!!?!!). The facilities of the hostel are in a rather good condition BUT it is SUPER dirty everywhere: lots of hair & dirt all over the sink and in the beds. 2 of my team members didnt receive pillow cases (?!!?!!?! I mean, is it a joke?!). All in all, it seems like the owner of the place changed recently (purchased by a person with a Chinese origin, therefore, 98% of the guests were Chinese as well with all the signs featured only in this language). Looks like the new owner is looking for a way to make as much profit off the place as possible (till the place goes bankruptand by doing so is ruining all the good job done by the previous owner. The hostel is located perfectly but is managed so poorly that Id rather pay extra and enjoy my holiday as experience with Ibedcity has totally killed all the joy of the trip...

Terrible. Showed up at my check in time 15.00. no reception, phone number left on the window was disconnected. I had to be let in by other guests and found a new number and was told reception wouldnt be back for 2 hours. Reception also would not call a taxi.

Don’t get fooled by high ratings (pretty sure those are mostly fake- have received rude custumer service, while the staff also tried to make our group pay more if we wanted to stay, despite having confirmed booking receipts (in advance). Neither of representatives could speak English beyond very basics and we have wasted more than 2 hours on the phone with custumer support to get checked in. Facilities and beds wery outrageously dirty and I am not a picky person at all. Food crumbs, long hairs all over the bed this kind of things. Signs in the place were mosly in Chinese (i thinkand honestly we felt less than welcome at all as non Chinese.Avoid at all costs, unless you want your holiday ruined. Same money can get you an AirBnB or any other place for that matter.

The worst hostel experience in my life. Booked an entire room for 4 people via Expedia website in August at an attractive price. The next day reconfirmed this with the hostel administrator (have a proper correspondence). Called a few days before the arrival. All was good. At check-in the rood Chinese receptionist barely speaking English told my friends that the price that we paid is actually for 1, and not for 4, when the booking was clearly indicating 4. And asked for the amount which is x5 more than in the booking. We had to spend 2 hours arguing with the host and admin, with absolutely no cooperation from their side. All them were interested in are just money. By our polite request to sort this problem directly with Expedia, we were told this is our problem and not theirs. When we personally gave a call to Expedia and they paid the balance and we were confirmed the reservation for 4 is completed (like it never been before, ha), and we were asked to come back after 3pm. And they promised to send us the code/room details to my email. When returned at 7pm, noone was at the reception, front door closed, no details on our rooms and the front door code emailed. When we finally got in and managed to get an admin back to her workplace, she intentionally checked us in to the different rooms when there were space to allocate us together. And I remind, we initially had a private quadruple room! This receptionist was just completely incompetent or mentally unhealthy. Absolutely terrible experience! To be honest, general facilities were decent, although the bedding wasnt clean at all. Looks like they bought a good hostel from someone else and now ruin it with an incompetent management.

how to go there from the city center, such as from McDonald’s? There is public transportation? I’m very confused, can somebody answer me?

Das Hostel liegt in der Nähe des Santa Claus Village und bietet auch Stellplätze für Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile mit Stromanschluss. Gerade in und um Rovaniemi, wo die Campingplätze Ende September alle schließen und die andere Alternative, den Stellplatz an der Shell-Tankstelle mit Stromanschluss für 15€, direkt gegenüber des Santa Claus Village, zu nutzen, gilt eher als schlechte Alternative. Da es an der Shell-Tankstelle keine Duschmöglichkeiten gibt, Lärm durch Kühl-LKW und durch die Nähe zur Autobahn. Hier ist alles anders. Top Lage, schön ruhig, alles sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet, Zutritt 24 Stunden durch Pincode an den Türen gewährt, außenliegender Wasseranschluss, schöne und große Küche, etc. Falls niemand bei der Anreise vor Ort sein sollte, einfach die Nr. wählen, die vorne an der Tür hängt und innerhalb von ein paar Minuten kommt eine englisch sprechende nette Dame vorbei, die sich dann um den Check In kümmert. Hier kommen wir gerne nochmal hin. Kiitos.🇩🇪🇪🇺🇫🇮

Auf unserer Skandinavien-Reise sind wir auf das Hostel gestoßen.Es war eine perfekte Übernachtung: sehr gute Küchenausstattung, viele Badezimmer, Duschen ohne Bezahlung, Sauna (5€ p.P.), großer Wert auf Sauberkeit, etc.Die Eigentümerin ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend.Egal für welchen Aufenthalt empfehle ich dieses Hostel.Übrigens hatten wir kein Zimmer, sondern haben direkt neben dem Gebäude in unserem Auto geschlafen.

Es un lugar de lo más acogedor, tanto para dormir en tienda de campaña como para dormir en habitación puedes hacer uso de unas instalaciones maravillosas, duchas muy amplias, aseos limpios, una cocina grande y acogedora, hemos repetido,estamos encantados. El personal es amable y atento.

We were there with a tent. Friedly owner, nice showers with free sauna, nice kitchen. It was pretty good to be there.
