Es un hostal que se ubica cerca de todo el casco central, aunque son algo pequeñas las habitaciones, sin embargo es un lugar tranquilo para descansar, algo económico, dispone de wifi gratis, parqueadero, y no incluye desayuno.

Fatal! El inodoro estaba dañado, había que meter la mano para bajar la válvula. No había agua caliente. Pasamos muy mal en solo un día. 😡

Convenient, unexpensive, and good location. The people running the hostal are very friendly and helpful. Can be noisy because of downtown nightlife, but is quiet enough after 11.

We booked 2 nights at Hostal Hogar Cuencano. The receptionist charged $ 10 a night. The bad surprise came at the check out. They demanded double price because of the number of people. We did not agree with that and looked for a compromise. Unfortunately, they didnt agree, so we called the police. Even with the help of the police, no compromise was found. More false statements (shared use of the kitchen, late check out, and so on.were made to the police. Finally, we paid the demanded price. For all these reasons we advise against Hostal Hogar Cuencano.

fantastic location in downtown Cuenca! The rooms are clean and spacious. The mini apartment is great for longer stays.

Wonderful people run this hostel. Very informative and caring. Celso runs a courier service anywhere you want to go. His prices are very affordable. His wife runs the hostel and she is a very friendly helpful person. All in all I give this hostel AND the courier service a 5.

Lo encontre por casualidad , pero es muy limpio con muy buen servicio y muy amable la dueña, muy buena ubicaciòn , tiene cerca muchos restaurantes, lavanderias, librerias , de todo., lo recomiendo ampliamente, buen lugar para descansar.

Nice quiet hostel in the heart of Cuenca. Beds were clean and excellent hot water showers. Staff spoke great English and was eager to answer any of my questions about what to do/see around the area. Ended up staying there another night on my way back. Highly recommend to other travelers.
