C. Solarillo de Gracia, 1, 18002 Granada, Spain, Granada
Occupying a 19th-century palace and a modern building, this upmarket hotel in the historic center is an 11-minute walk from the ornate Catedral de Granada and 2 km from the Alhambra medieval complex.Sleek rooms offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screens, safes and minibars, plus city or garden views. Some retain original floor mosaics and ceiling murals. Lavish suites add lounges and opulent bathrooms; some have balconies. Room service is available 24/7Parking is complimentary. Amenities include a fine-dining restaurant with a patio, and an Asian-influenced spa with a thermal pool, a sauna and a hammam. There's also a garden. Breakfast is offered (fee).
Very large rooms. Staff generally helpful. Clean. Double vanity a nice perk.
Very nice smaller hotel (40 roomscentrally located. Large rooms. Good service. Good value.
Spent 3 nights and 4 days at this magnificent hotels in the centre of Granada.
My friend and I desperately needed a sunny getaway! Granada Spain is amazing! You real felt like you were on hoilday with the Spaniards but our stay at Hospes Palacio de los Patos was more then we expected. It was so lovely and the staff were amazing! From the lovely man at the front desk to the smiling waitress who served us in the resturant for breakfast. I would highly recommend. Even the waiter who served us gave us places to check out. The hotel was grand, spacious and very well air conditioned, the food was great and had a wonderful mixture of local dishes, I would love to stay here again.
The location is great, the house is pretty, and the room was very nice, and yet the main reason to stay there is the excellent service; the staff takes excellent care of the guests, and always with a smile.
This may be a 5-star hotel on paper but it is not a 5-star experience. My wife and I started our two-night stay in Rm 113 on the first floor of the new building and this room should never have been made into a guest room. It sits directly over the main entrance, with the sliding door mechanism attached right under the floor of the room. What this means is that a loud mechanical whirring noise echos throughout the room everytime anyone enters or leaves the building. While this alone is enough to drive anyone crazy for their stay, the room also became freezing at night and the only blanket available on the bed was paper-thin, and the soundproofing in the room was non-existent, so every car, conversation, and sound from outside can be heard clearly, leading to the worst night of sleep my wife and I have ever gotten in any hotel. We mentioned this issue to the front desk and they were kind enough to move us to a suite on the top floor of the new building for the second night of our stay. While this room solved the issue with the whirring noise from the door, we quickly realized that the poor soundproofing was an issue throughout the entire building and that the thermostat in the room was more for show than function. Another night was spent hearing every sound outside in crystal clarity and shifting from sweating to freezing as the outside temperature changed.Overall, our stay here was incredibly disappointing, especially given that Palacio de los Patos is intended to be a 5-star hotel. As my wife said, "The most basic function of a hotel is to provide a good nights sleep and they cant even get that part right." Additionally, there were some suspicious stains on the comforter we received after requesting one for the second night (shown in the photos below). We cannot recommend staying here to anyone, the only redeeming quality (resulting in an extra star on my reviewis the very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel, though that alone is not worth the price or the headache of staying here.
Not recommended. Rooms very small service slow. For the price it is low value.
The palace is very unique and very clean
Do not stay here if you get a room on the first floor near the restaurant!! I don’t know if it’s any better on the top floors. Just wouldn’t stay here. It’s loud. You hear people at the restaurant all night, music, and the sounds of vehicles running all night. We had a very the front desk not be very responsive when we called multiple times about laundry service. One time they said they would call us back but never did. We are so happy we only decided to stay two short nights at this hotel. Would definitely opt for a different hotel In the future. We stayed at a hospes hotel in Mallorca and were so thrilled so had high expectations, and were severely let down when we arrived to the Granada hotel. The front staff is not the most welcoming and the noise is ridiculous. You have to walk through the restaurant to get to your room each time. The only great thing I would say is the house keeping is sweet, but not enough to want to stay at this hotel. Very dissatisfied and disappointed.
Marriott elite member should never stay here because they keep telling you they are not Marriott so don’t expect any elite benefit!
The location is perfect for exploring Granada and the staff are all fantastic.
Hotel Hospes Palacio de los Patos its a beautiful place, room was amazing and spacious. The service from all staff was great, very attentive. The hotel location is excellent, a short walk from the historic center and the Albaicin historic neighborhood. The cafe bar area is beautiful and a great area to have drinks and relax.
This hotel doesn’t deserve its five stars or its price. Concierge is terrible, gave us one of the most terrible recommendations ever! The other staff are nice and always try their best. The location is very good. Overall very underwhelming hotel and doesn’t live up to its name. I would suggest going elsewhere.
We liked our stay at the hotel. Our room was spacious and nice. The area is nice took us about 20 minutes to walk to the Alhambra. We used the spa and I would say that the hotel needs to change the water and clean the pool. Overall we liked our stay, even though the price was on the expensive side at 255 Euros per night.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff but honestly a little underwhelming for a 5-star rated hotel. The room was warmer than I would’ve liked it to be throughout our stay. Staff was very involved trying to fix the problem, but could never get the AC to cool as desired (in the hotel’s defense, it was in the spring time, but at a 5 star hotel, I’d expect to be able to control the temperature at any time of the year). The positives include the VERY friendly staff, beautiful interiors, and central location in the city center. Just a 5 minute walk to the city’s only tram line - very convenient. The negatives were the air conditioning and pillow selection.
Location is close to everything you would want to do in Granada. The room we got was amazing. The service is phenomenal. The buffet breakfast that came with room was just right. The front desk very helpful and professional. The look and feel of this wonderful hotel evoke grandure, yet cozyiness.I am not sure if we will ever return to Granada, which by the way we feel is one of the incredible places in this incredible country, but we sincerely recommend this hotel to anyone who is willing to pay their price. By the way, the value for money was another wonderful thing about this hotel.Granada
Great hotel. Immaculate housekeeping and service.
This is a beautiful very nicely renovated hotel centrally located in Grenada. Excellent service and pet friendly! I had a delicious breakfast there the room is spotless and very nicely decorated and Roomy. I would definitely stay there again. I didn’t get a chance to use their spa
A beautiful hotel that combines a classic palace with a modern hotel, but with an important flaw: it’s located in a very noisy neighborhood. For some guests, it’s not important but for me, it’s a game breaker.Rooms inside the new hotel wing are modern and well equipped. Spacious rooms and superb bathroom facilities. Breakfast could be improved.
The hotel is lovely and the room is very well equipped, modern and nice. Unfortunately, it is in a very noisy area so we just stayed for one night and moved.
The price is higher than what the hotel offers. As Bonvoy Platinum Member we did not really enjoy any additional services like we usually do in other hotels of the program. We booked the hotel without breakfast and paid about 170eur/night. We assumed it is a high quality hotel as it has 5 stars but unfortunately it is not as good as other 5 star hotels. The rooms are modern but not very clean. When we checked out, they did not ask us how we liked our stay (this is an absolute no-go for a five star hotel). You can book the spa for 50 minutes complementary each day. This is a nice thing, however, the spa smelled weird. A good thing; the hotel lobby is quite precious, and the hotel is located centrally. Overall I can say that the stay did not justify the price. Next time, we will chose another hotel in Granada.
This has to be one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Style over substance. We had a beautiful room (126with lots of space and an amazing bathroom. The staff were super helpful but when all you can hear is shouting, taxis scooters and cars driving past who cares how nice the place is. The noise is absolutely horrific. It doesnt matter how great a place looks if it cant offer the basics, such as a quiet room to sleep in.
This was actually a house from 1800s and was renovated to a hotel. There is so much history behind it which gives it more allure. I had a brief stay there but it was a pleasant experience. Staff are professional and friendly, services were excellent and the room and toilet were very clean and bed was very comfortable. Didn’t have a chance to try their food but would definitely visit again in my next trip. Highly recommended.
Edit: Management was very helpful, upgraded us to a better room and sent us a bottle of Cava and macaroons. Ramon, the manager, was very nice and helpful.Toilet was broken making a terrible noice all night, changing rooms at 2 in the morning. Unfriendly bar staff and generally poor service. Passable rooms. Do not recommend.
We had an elegant and delicious lunch at this hotel, super quality and great service!
A dream of a hotel right in the city center of Granada. We stayed in the Junior Suite, which I can only describe as the most beautiful hotel room I‘ve ever been in. The food at the restaurant was a revelation and the staff was most helpful and friendly at any time. So, if you want to be in for a real treat, this is the place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This hotel is very nice and in the Hart of the town.Only a shot walk to very where10 out off ten
Stayed here last year and really loved the character of the hotel and the service of the personnel. Currently visiting Spain again and while I didn’t have any plans to visit Granada this time, I couldn’t help but make a last minute reservation for tomorrow at this same spot.
Quality and maintenance is poor for a supposedly 5 star hotel. One and a half dead flies on the bed and toothpaste/paint on the bed spread. The air condition doesn’t work -I called the front desk 30mins ago and still nothing. The ‘futuristic’ doors are not user friendly therefore doesn’t fulfil its only function. I have an injury so wasn’t pleased when it transpired that guests were expected to take their own luggage down a couple flights of stairs in order to show themselves to their room (where you can’t get in because - as I said - door). The next 3 nights are going to be long... even though the staff still haven’t got back to me on the air con problem they are not rude so I suppose they deserve a star more than the bare minimum.
A friend stayed at this hotel when we visited Granada. I visited with him every day at the hotel having breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and everything was satisfactory until the day my friend left. He had an early morning flight. When he was getting ready that morning, he noticed his Apple laptop and other expensive devices were missing. The guy at the front desk did not call the police when he complained and he was shuffled on his way to catch his flight. A very disgusting experience. Beware if you stay here and keep your belongings hidden.
Beautiful restored mansion and a very modern building behind it containing the restaurant, rooms, spa, even a small heated indoor pool. Great service, good food, good restaurant. Very expensive. Centrally located.
Great location and staff. Had trouble with wifi in room(no signal). Also no complimentary breakfast for marriot elite members.
Beautiful hotel mixing modern and classic palace architecture. Excellent attention and restaurant. WiFi is a bit slow and unreliable though.
Rooms were nicely decorated. I would suggest you ask for rooms located other than on the ground floor though. Restaurant was serving nice food and drinks. Personnel was kind and very helpful. We enjoyed a spa experience too.
We stayed in the modern side of the hotel and we loved it. Lunch and dinner were delicious, and the staff was very helpful. The hotel is located within waking distance to both the science museum and Alhambra. We also enjoyed the spa and massages - worth the price. Beautiful at night.
Stayed here 4 nights and we truly enjoyed every minute. The hotel staff - Sonia & Javier were so cordial and helpful when checking in. We were able to stay on the modern side rooms since the rooms of the original palace have no closet space and are a bit outdated. The staff understood and immediately showed us another room - 110 which we loved. The soaking tub, big shower with rain head & the overall room was open & great comfy beds. For us the best part was the gardens and restaurant section which was outstanding to have a snack or wine & tapas. Beautiful decor & gardens well kept, We would recommend this place hands down & its a 10 minute walk to Alhambra.
This is a nice hotel in Granada that is located in a central area that is walking distance to a lot of local attractions. The Hospes Palacio in Córdoba feels nicer than the Granada location, but the staff here is equally friendly and professional and helpful. The rooms were very clean and large, but once again, like other hotels around Spain, when I asked to have a queen size bed, it was two full size beds pushed together so there was a crack down the middle. The rooms are pretty and well decorated and felt romantic. The bathroom and bathtub in particular were really cool and large, so you could take a very relaxing bath.
Best in town! Excellent Service, big and comfortable rooms, great palace, stylish hotel, various and healthy breakfasr, very well situated for exploring beautiful Granada.
In summary - the hotel I booked with pictures of beautiful rooms and the one I stayed were completely different. Some selective pictures and false advertising were the summary to hook people into overpaying for a faux luxury hotel. The people were generally nice, but the property and specifically our room was a disaster. What a waste of $. With everything from pungent smell of smoke in our room, stains on the old yellow sofa, water noises keeping me awake all night, the door handle to our room falling off every time going in and out of the room – aesthetic and safety concern, magnetic latch falling off to hold bathroom door hanging by 1 screw, broken tile on the floor, several hairs and stains on the towels, and no electric outlets other than behind a marble fridge and in the bathroom. All in all a TERRIBLE experience – I have stayed in many residence inn, courtyard, AC, Hilton garden inn, Hampton inns and other low end hotels around the world that were friendlier, better maintained, and cleaner than this hotel. It is overpriced and a waste of money. Spend your money elsewhere and not at this dump.
Amazing hotel. Wonderful staff, great accommodations and fantastic proximity to attractions. All in all, the best place to stay in Granada. Absolutely recommend.
Stunning hotel, however the staff at the front desk was not the most helpful, also they were a little bit weird about water (only would give 1 bottle mid day delivered to the room). Otherwise the hotel was great and I would go back!
Amazing hotel. The junior suites are gorgeous, and the service exceptional. Also, it was nice to stay close but outside of the main tourist areas. Lastly, I was amazed by the service and particularly grateful to JuanJo who so kind and gave awesome recommendations. Would stay there again without any doubt....
Very receptive and warm staff. The rooms are spacious and this hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the restaurants and shops. A very nice hot tub in the spa and great food in the restaurant, moderately priced as well. We shall be back!
Nice place, large rooms, quite location, lots of shopping all around, staff very professional and eager to help. We enjoyed staying here. If you are driving to Granada and plan to park the car at the hotel make sure it is a small size vehicle as the parking stalls are very tight and lanes in garage as well.
Wonderful hotel, a sight on its own. Rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. There is a restaurant and a bar with seats, plants, and fountains in the courtyard - great place to unwind after busy day of sightseeing. Make sure to use the spa area with sauna, steam room, and hot pool. The breakfast is wonderful with hot and cold options.Small drawbacks - the walls are thin so it can get noisy from the corridor, but a pair of earplugs will fix that. The marvel bathtub in our room was impressive but being rectangular with no back support, not very practical or comfortable. The shower room however was good.
My two daughters and I just stayed here for 3 nights and it was superb. I would really like to thank Antonella and Martin who were on reception and were both helpful, efficient and so accommodating.I have no Spanish but wanted to experience all the must see sights as well as flamenco dancing and great food. They made recommendations, booked tickets, made reservations. The service was simply excellent.I would highly recommend this hotel for its location, attention to detail and staff. They not just met my expectations for a 5 star hotel, they exceeded them.Liana
Excellent hotel in Granada. Called them the day of and they found us a great room. Totally classy older part and a modern adjacent addition, but they flow pretty well together with a great patio full of nice fountains. You can easily miss this place if you’re not looking for it, but it’s nicely close to much of older Granada and it isn’t more that a 20-25 minute walk up to the Alhambra from here.Lovely place.
Theres not much to say! the place is amazing, staff the building, everything! one of the nicest hotels Ive ever stayed in. Beats all the big name 5 star hotels hands down.I spent nearly a week here and you just dont want to leave.couldnt not say a bad comment.absolutely superb!!!!thanks for a relaxing time Ill be back for sure if I make it down to the South of Spain again!thanks
I have great staying, every thing was fabulous its really 5 stars hotel.. room was fantastic service was royal.. breakfast was good ,,, everything was 5 stars except the spa ,it was poor and pad
The hotel in itself is nice - historical building with a nice design. However, the geographical location isnt ideal - the hotel is surrounded by bad looking buildings.. Also, the nice part of the city (the arabic quarteris quite far (20-30mins by foot)..The rooms are nice, but the swimming pool wasnt great - quite small, cold and in the basement of the hotel - next to the parking..
