Hornblower Niagara Cruises - Boat tour agency in Shelburne, Canada
Wow. We stayed at the Hilton on the Canadian side & booked a premium view room on the 47th floor. View was amazing.Recommend eating at My Cousin Vinny if you like Italian food.We did the Walk behind the falls tour as well as watched the movie of how the falls were created. Everyone we met was so friendly, the way the world should be.Wonderful trip.
We had awesome time cruising in Niagara falls they horse shoe view is amazing from this cruise. though were wearing rain coats but still we returned wet from cruise. Best thing to do in my opinion at Niagara falls.
Took this boat ride in May 2022. It was a great experience. Very well organized. Although very wet, I did not end up drenched as the poncho they provided worked quite well.Should bring a waterproof casing for camera and phone.Be prepared to take photos of the many rainbows that appear as the boat turns and draws nearer the falls. There are a few levels to stand on the boat. Any level will provide a good view of the fall.
Great time! Various walking and travel to get to boat, but no wait once we got down. It was so warm, which was nice because we got soaked! Glad I wore flip flops! Area to have a drink before. Free little poncho included.
Such an incredible experience! You are able to see the falls up close and personal! Some great photo opportunities, and plenty of fun times! You will definitely get wet! Waterproof shoes and rain jackets recommended (even with the ponchos)! I can not recommend this enough!
One of the best way to experience the best view of Niagara falls. There was no crowd. The staff members were so friendly. The cruise was clean just wet obviously. If you want to get wet dont have your all weather jacket with u just use the recyclable plastic jacket provided by the Niagara city cruise.
A very organized, humble and efficient team to give you a memorable experience of your lifetime.Make sure you plan the visit appropriately if its a weekend as the place gets very busy and would recommend getting the tickets in advance. There is a little walk up to the elevators that will take you all the way down to the cruise site. There are enough elevators but again it gets very busy during the weekend and/or public holiday. Before boarding the cruise you will get a poncho ( Red Color signifying the spirit of Canada, the US has a blue colorthat can be disposed of at the departure. They have 2 decks, ground and upper, choose your spot based on your comfort with splash of water ☺️। Done worry about the view, you will get that either onwards or coming back. The most wonderful part is the horse shoe fall which gives the moment with the maid of the mist.
Visited the Niagara falls yesterday and had an amazing one of a kind experience going on the cruise with this steam boat. The tickets costs around $30 for a 30min ride to the falls which gets you an up close and personal view of the falls. They get very close so provide ponchos to keep you from getting wet from the steam (which it does to some extent). On our trip, they did keep us close for quite a bit so it was a great experince.Highly recommended if youre visiting.
Breathtaking views! You get to see the falls up close and get a nice rain shower and lots of photo opportunities during the journey towards the falls. The line experience was pleasant and didn’t feel as long as it was since there were different things to do and see along the way. Definitely would recommend!
Better when it’s sunny 🌞I went to the first morning ride and enjoyed every minute. It was not crowded like in the afternoon. It’s extremely rainy closer to the fall, so take care of your phone! Also Canadian ponchos looks better than US 😉
September 2022 5*This is not first trip to Niagara Cruises. My first one was in 2017, followed in 2019 and the latest one in 2022.It is always fun and new experience to take Niagara Cruises. Luckily it is not busy time so did not wait to buy ticket and for boarding. The cruise deck was busy so try to board early and hold the rail. You will get wet so don’t forgot to put your poncho. Show will get wet so shoe cover is not a bad idea.Cruise is accessible. However, old people and people with special need require to stay on lower deck.During busy time, it is better to book ticket in advance. Ticket cost $32 per adult and $22 per kids (3+). So it is not cheap.
Definitely an experience you shouldnt miss! You can just feel the hydro power just as you were getting near the falls, more so in Canadas side. We went in the morning so there was no waiting for us (just for the next boat to come), and we pre-purchased our tickets online as well. Good thing because once we were finished, the line at the ticket booth was so long. Better to wear crocs or slippers since youll be taking a shower a few minutes in.
WORTH THE WAIT!!! WOW WOW WOW!! We went to the Fall Fireworks Cruise they offer at night and it was beautiful!!! It’s the same tour that they do in the day time but at night!! The best part is the fireworks occur while on the tour and the light show starts too! Completely AMAZING!
Perfectly clear skies and a beautiful sunny day. “Let’s take the boat tour to the falls” I said to my wife. She replies, “I don’t like small boats.”There was no need for my wife to panic there, as it’s extremely calm on these boats.Being sunny, I said, “there will still be some spray once we get near to the Horseshoe falls.”I lied. It went from sun to heavy monsoon within a few minutes, and luckily we had put on the poncho’s they supplied. I turned my back to the spray and pulled out the camera and clicked off a few shots of others behind us. I got an awesome photo (full sizeof their faces in the extreme rain. You also get a much closer face view of the American falls giving you a much better souvenir photo. It was an awesome experience that we were so glad we did it. Highly recommended, and a must do while at Niagara.
We had an incredible visit to the falls today. Captain Hannah and crew went out of their way to be kind and polite to my family. They are very skilled Marine professionals. What an exciting experience. We moved quickly and efficiently through the queue. It was a great experience.
Excellent customer service. Accidentally purchased two extra tickets and despite the tickets being non refundable and the fact that I did not purchase the additional insurance that allows for refunds, they refunded the tickets immediately. No hassle, just sent them an email explaining the situation and they emailed back within minutes confirming the refund. The experience itself is obviously a must while visiting. You see the falls up close and we captured some beautiful photos.
Worth it. One of the best things to do at Niagara, hands-down. Id say its something you must do at least once in your life--the experience was amazing. Dont worry about seasickness, an old trick is to spray yourself in the face with some water--and the cruise more than takes care of that because you get up close and personal with the majesty and power of the Horseshoe Falls. Expect to get wet! The line moves fast to board, so you dont have to worry about waiting long, or having any confusion. My only regret was that the ride didnt last longer because I was having so much fun. Also, free pink ponchos! I kept mine for memories. Hornblower fan for life.
We went on the cruise on our first full day in Niagra Falls(Canada). It was a Monday(August 2022)and it wasn’t crazy busy. It was busy but manageable. We didn’t have to wait long to get on the boat & we had a really great time. All of us were really impressed and in awe of the mist splashing our faces. Overall we did get a little wet and enjoyed every moment. The Weather was good and we dried quickly. One tip, wear water friendly shoes. If we returned to Niagra Falls, I would definitely return on the cruise. Again a must do excursion! Lastly I give this place a 5 stars b/c a family member who is a skeptic loved it.
The Niagara Boat Cruise is something everyone must do when visiting the area!Your given ponchos to wear and youll need them. The boat cruise brings you very close up to the falls. Its a sight like no other. You are constantly sprayed by the falls. Excuse my finger in some of my pictures. I couldnt see because of the steady bombard of water mist from the falls. My pictures speaks fir itself on what youll see and experience! Wirth the money and time!
Wonderful experience getting to see Niagara Falls from the bottom, get ready to be washed! There is rain jacket prepared for everyone. It’s around 30 mins on the boat, there are all the views you can pick for your photo.
Getting up close and personal with Niagara Falls!Wonderful experience and breathtaking views of the falls.Id recommend getting the tickets on line to skip waiting to buy as that line can get super long.Look for the 10:30 to 11:30 am time slot or earlier as the line moves quick and isnt as long. The prior day we tried to go around 2 or 3 and the line as so long the wait was around 2hrs+
Took a night time cruise to Niagara Falls… it was a great experience! Since the cruise was at night time, the photos of the falls didn’t come as I expected and got really wet when the boat got closer to the falls. The lighting display of the fall wasn’t really nice and vivid from bottom view. The boat didn’t get very close to the falls and it was very pricy.. paid $90 for two adults.Although they give you a plastic raincoat but it’s always good to take an extra raincoat to cover your whole body.
it costs approximately $37 with taxes per ticket. it was a very smooth and easy process to board and exit the boat. the cruise itself was fun and beautiful. i recommend waterproof shoes and makeup ;)
We ran across the parking lot and stressed to make our boat but a boat leaves every 15 min so dont be like us. Lol. Chill. We had a great time. The views from Canada land are amazing but its the same views in the water. 10/10 recommend.
Having a great experience with the tour. There are designated parking areas, the closest ones tend to get filled up quickly. We park the car a little further from the view point and walk to cruise office (about 0.7mile). So plan you trip accordingly, weather is another factor to consider when visit Niagara Falls especially if you love taking photos since it get rain and cloudy even in Summer.Note: you can also reserve the tickets online
This boat ride was so much fun, and an experience like no other. Expect lots of water, but the ponchos they provide will keep you relatively dry. The loading and unloading process was very efficient, and the ride length was just right. Highly recommended to anyone who wants an up close introduction to the falls.
It just wouldn’t be right to visit Niagara Falls and not go on this boat trip! It’s a quick 30 minute trip that takes you by the American Falls first and then right up into the Horseshoe Falls where you will definitely feel the power of the falls and get wet from all the spray from the falls. You have on a rain poncho to protect your clothes from getting wet, but your shoes will get wet, but not drenched. Don’t wear nice shoes unless you’re OK with them getting wet. This cruise is a must when coming to Niagara Falls.Tip: You can buy your tickets there from a person or from the kiosk, but buying them online would be preferred. Enjoy!
Awesome experience! Cruise staff was extremely friendly. We went on a weekday in the evening so the wait wasn’t long (15 minutes). You will definitely get wet even though ponchos are provided, but the view is definitely worth it!
This was a wonderful experience. We went on a bright sunny day and the trip to the falls was awesome. One should never miss this. Our kids enjoyed a lot , but little one was little scared at the water and the drizzle. We took the baby stroller with us and they have a space to park the stroller at the bottom just before we board the cruise. That was helpful otherwise we would have to carry my 2 yr old. The line took Atleast 30-40 mins but the view was pleasant along the way. We booked the tickets online and we were directly allowed to join the boarding line from the top. This place is like 1.5 km walk from parking lot A. There’s a zip line tower near by the cruise point. The ticket price is moderate. There are some shops which has chips, soft drinks and some liquors. We can spend time there too. You will almost get wet during the trip and be prepared for that.Don’t miss it 😊😊
The cruise lasts for about 20-25 minutes and is worth the wait... They show you both the falls (US and Canada sideId say the Canadian side is much better with a amazing 180° view of the falls and a misty spray that will drench you!! You need to carry a ziplock bag in case you want to take videos with your mobile. The best time is to go on a weekday after 5, thats when theres the least rush and you get the whole cruise to yourself!
Awesome experience! I last did this years ago and this time around was even better than I remember. Barely any wait, we got the free ponchos, and we went so close to the falls. Definitely a staple activity if it’s your first time visiting the falls!!!!
This is the one experience you must do when in the Niagara region! The falls are amazing and you will never forget the view from the river level and the mist all around you. Very refreshing! And the professional boat crew and well managed facilities top off the experience!
Wow! What a great experience! No need to shower on the day you plan to visit, youll get soaked (especially on the lower deck)! You do get a poncho, but your shoes will get wet! Youll get to get up close and personal with the falls, traveling right up next to them! Lots of photo ops along the way! The boat ride is about 20 minutes long and its worth every minute! After the ride, disembark, and and enjoy a drink right at the foot of the falls at the one of cafes and listen to local artists play familiar songs. My family loved this experience and we highly recommend this experience for you, your family, and friends! Enjoy!
What a breathtaking experience!!Literally no words to express my joy!! No one would imagine in their lifetime being too close to the falls and can come back within 20 minutes!!When boarding the cruise I felt Fresh breeze, pure air, relaxation, thrilling, phobia, anxiety!😃Must & Best attractions in Canada 🇨🇦
What a Breathtaking 20min Experience!!! Its an ideal tourist experience for anyone visiting the Majestic Niagara Falls. Ive been to the Hornblower cruise a few times now and its always amazing. Definitely prepare for the adrenaline rush when you get closer the the Horseshoe falls. The views are amazing & the entire journey is extremely beautiful.Definitely recommend booking tickets while standing in the lineup to avoid waiting times. Once you have the ticket, its usually quick to get onto the Ship.
This is an experience not to be missed. The iconic boat ride that takes you close to the falls is an awesome one. Take the ride when the suns out and you will see the most beautiful rainbow ever. Its worth every penny. Great for all ages. If someonr is scared to get wet, you could choose to sit inside; not many people do that though. Its so much fun to feel the falls on your face. The pics are not even 10% of what it is in real.
Niagara City Cruises rocked!! This tour was the highlight of our tour. Definitely recommend getting tickets in advanced or getting the Niagara Park passes and add it on because it is so worth it. We boarded prior to noon and it was already hot outside so getting soaked was nice. If you plan on recording or even taking pictures while being close to the Horseshoe Falls, make sure to protect your phone or camera because it does get wet but it is so worth it!
What’s not to like? About 20 minutes of seeing the American and Canadian Falls up close and personal with the added bonus of getting soaked on a hot day! As ex-military, I never wear the poncho so this trip was extra special because my five year old grand daughter didn’t wear one either. Out of the 200 tourist in the boat, we were the only two walking off the boat soaking wet. Great memories.
It was a blissful and breathtaking experience. You get the chance to sightseeing the Niagara falls from just some feet away in a cruise. I strongly recommend to book tickets online to skip the waiting time.
Great! I can’t even imagine visiting Niagara Falls without taking a trip by ship. It was so much fun! Be beware - you will get wet even if you wear poncho, because the water drops are everywhere! It is really a remarkable experience, though. The ship gets as close to the falls, as possible, so it is even impossible to take photos when you are so close. We were there during the week days and a queue was not long, the ship runs every half an hour during high season.
It’s beautiful and a must see one. You have to pay a good amount of entry fee though. It was worth an experience. The boat takes you right under the nose of the Hosershoe Falls. It was a 20 mins boat ride filled with excitement.Would highly recommend. The staffs were friendly and welcoming. If you take the ride, make sure to get the right side of the boat as it tends to get a better view.Plan to spend around an hour for this one if there is not much of a rush.
We had so much fun on the Hornblower. I definitely recommend this as a great family adventure. You get real up close and personal with the Horseshoe falls, and its intense.Protip- Stay on the 1st level and go directly to the bow or the boat.10 outta 10.
Amazing experience. Picked the first ride of the day and seem to have a less busier crowd than the afternoon but ample space aboard for views. Traveled with my wife, and three kids (10,5,3). They all loved it. Obviously you will get wet so my only recommendation is to wear sandals. This is a must do when visiting
This is the most exciting attraction offered in Niagara Falls. You begin by walking down the steps, getting your rain coat and boarding the boat. The boat sets off and does a pass by of the American falls before heading right into the heart of the horseshoe falls. You get absolutely soaked by the mist and water off the roaring falls and its an absolutely amazing experience. This can be added to the adventure pass for an additional $30 per adult.
One of the top touristy things to do in Canada. It never disappoints us. They have frequent rides every 20mins so wait times are pretty minimal. Before you board you will be given complimentary ponchos. Keep your cameras and lenses in a bag under the poncho as the ride gets very misty. The ride circles first via Niagara Gorge and turns along the American and Bridal Veil Falls, and takes you to a wild run around Canadian Horseshoe Falls. When you reach the horseshoe the boat gets shaky and water pours on you from all sides. It is an epic experience and a one that you can cherish for your lifetime. Once returned you are welcomed with a gift shop and some cafes. The employees were polite and very professional in taking care of the whole process.Kudos to the team.
The BEST way to see the falls and experience it. I mean it. They take you into the falls where you spend some time being able to take pictures/videos, and then you can spend some time in front of the falls having a small bite and drinks. Definitely worth it
You can buy tickets online or at kiosk. The self service is so easy and quick. Make sure you don’t wait in line with people who want to buy tickets at kiosk. There is a self service on the other side of the small ticket selling box. You can pay with card. The boat experience is only 20 minutes long, but it’s really cool. ~$38 incl. HSTIf you want to get wet, make sure you have shoes that can get wet. If you plan to walk a lot after the boat tour, bring a 2nd pair of shoes 😃 Great experience!

Loved it, I went in May just before memorial day. It wasnt busy, I was suprised I got so wet. Youll definitely need a poncho, they give you one for free, but of course since the price of the ride wat like 32 dollars.
Such a typical tourist destination but it is a must do when you go to Niagara falls. Something about feeling the wind and the splash of the fall so close up wearing your funny raincoat! My parents loved it too. So nice to know that Canada has a better view than US! 😆
