This was once my local and the local of a dear mate. This is a pub, you walk in and you have a pint, bar billiards is always there too. You should not need anything more than that.

Nice place and after its covid changes is still a nice welcoming pub with old school games and bar.

Brewery have refurbed the pub so it is nice & clean. Same beer & new pub management. Lots of regulars returning.

Decent beers but the clincher is probably the billiards table, which is great fun (the rules are on a sheet next to the table). Would definitely come back.

The beer was really nice, and great value! Just a shame that its so overwhelmingly hot inside the pub. Definitely recommend the Taiphoon - lemongrass beer!

Really expected the beer to be in good nick, this being the brewerys pub. It was so bad, i had to leave the 2 pints undrunk. Had to pay for 2 pints to use the tap payment, rules. First bad pints of my trip.

This place I found for the first time a few years ago as part of the first Reading Ale Trail. Its a pub with a great atmosphere, the staff are welcoming and friendly; the beer is very well kept and delicious. A hidden gem worthy of a visit.
