Pretty good food when it’s really fresh but a sometimes the delivery food is over cooked or is old t I have not Eaten inside the restaurant

I’ve ordered takeout here a number of times in the past couple of months and have been pleased with the service and food quality. Very nice staff as well. This is my goto Chinese takeout!

Disgusting!!! Where Im from you pay half the price for twice as much good food. Rice was not "fried rice" dry, undercooked, tasteless food period, server had terrible manners, and the shrimp, um doughy.... just terrible all around. Never, Ever will I go there again

Started Short Cut On The Ingredients..I Paid Twenty bucks for Sweet and Sour Pork and Only Got 4 Tiny Pieces of Pineapple and 2 of Bell Peppers.. Delivery Is Fast and Friendly But I Ordered Extra Pineapple 🍍

Food is always good so I don’t want to deter other people but when I ask for something spicy I mean I want it to be physically painful. I know that restaurants are scared to serve people food that they think they will have to refund but when I ask for something to be super hot I really want it that way.

Tried calling he bang bang shrimp and the Mongolian beef so far. Really enjoyed thank you

Seriously. I got takeout here today - standard House Special Lo Mein and Fried Rice (dinners- and the food was APPALLINGLY BAD. Scarcely any meat, a minimum of noodles and dry, hard, rice - the containers were 3/4 full, and the flavor was just awful! Maybe the dine-in experiences are better as this place seems to attract good reviews and my idea was to try before dining. However, I wont be back. Not worth my money, at all, under ANY circumstances.

Garbage food. Pretty sure the crab rangoon didnt contain any crab and the sauce was factory made garbage. The pad thai was sickeningly sweet and not spicy at all. It was full of tomatoes cut into thirds. The food is suitable for captives, not guests.

This was the absolute worst food we have ever eaten. The entire menu is dedicated to bell peppers with a sprinkle of meat. They are also incredibly rude. They kicked my husband out and made him call to order in our car. When our food was ready they banged on the restaurant window to get our attention. My husband is highly allergic to bell peppers but even the non pepper option tasted and smelled of bell peppers. We thought he could eat the rice at least but it was dry and tasteless. The worst "fried rice" we have ever had. A complete waste of 38 dollars.

The man at the front is extremely rude. I always ask for extra duck sauce and he always gives me a look as if he has a problem with me asking for it. Tonight when I asked for the extra duck sauce, he tells me to wait while he helps the customer behind me. I patiently wait and when he finally gives it to me, I ask him what was the reason that I had to wait for the extra sauce. He tells me I should have asked for it over the phone (really….duck sauce???). But mean while, the customer who he had me wait for asks for extra duck sauce also. He had no problem giving that customer the extra sauce without waiting. I’ve been dealing with people like him for 50yrs and I know EXACTLY what his problem is. Because of his childish foolishness, I will not be patronizing that horrible establishment again!

Ordered Kung Pao Shrimp. More like a Bell Pepper Shrimp to me. Taste like bell pepper shrimp as well. Have a total of 4 shrimps.

Love this place. Never had a dine in experience but my family order from this place a lot. Before COVID we ate at a buffet now we choose to order take out lol. This place is super friendly and very personable. Food is amazing. We are basic when it comes to Chinese but we have tried others and we rather not waste our money!!!! Thank you Hong Kong Star!!!!

First let me say that I loved this place when you could actually dine-in, I live 35 minutes from this place and the few times we have ordered delivery it wasn’t worth the drive at all. It’s been almost 2 years since they stopped doing dine-in on count of Covid, until dine-in is an option again I’m not coming back

Worst Chinese food I have ever had. I thought well their prices are higher than most maybe it will be better quality. I was wrong the orange chicken and General Tso chicken was rubbery like eating a tire. If i could give it -5 stars I would. Horrible food quality was terrible

Not sure why it’s getting the reviews it is. Super nice on phone and paying but the food is not good at all. Take your money to one of the other Chinese restaurants.

This has been my go to Chinese restaurant for nearly 10 years now. The food is always hot, fresh, delicious, and really great portions. I’m giving it two stars because they have been closed to dine-in eating now for over a year while nearly all of their competition has opened (or been open with safety protocols in place).I’m starting to get the feeling that they just don’t want to pay staff to come in and re-open the restaurant, they prefer to remain takeout. I hope that’s not the case, because if that’s true… you’ve lost a regular customer.

The food is always terrific!! Always! It doesnt have a very welcoming feel and the waiters havent been the most attentive. My biggest complaint right now is that they still arent open for dining. Its been a year since they closed for Covid precautions and they are still closed for dining at the Acworth location. I live 45 minutes away. Im not getting takeout for that kind of drive! Its worth the drive for the food, when you can eat it hot!

The food is always really good and they always have a really good health rating. The only thing I dont like is that if I order something that has rice and I dont want the rice but I would rather have lo mein noodles they wont let me substitute and pay the difference. Every other Chinese restaurant Ive ever been to lets me do that. Doesnt make any sense because now Ive got rice thats just going to go in the trash.

This is the best Chinese place in a 15 mile radius. The General Tso is made with large pieces of white meat rather than small pieces of chicken thighs. The breading is great and not too thick or thin. My wife gets the kung pao and really likes it. The only thing is the fried rice they give you with the meal is not anything special. No veggies, eggs or anything else (or maybe a tiny tiny amount if any). I think they have a full on fried rice dish that gets you all of that.Regardless, the dishes are always fresh and super high quality. We have tried a dozen of other places from kennesaw to powder spring to cartersville and this is the one we keep going back to each time.

This restaurant has been one of my favorites for a couple of years. The food is very good and the service friendly. I usually order delivery, but have dined in the restaurant a couple of times and recently picked up a take-out order. I believe they are only doing take-out or delivery right now because of Covid, and I’ve been very impressed by how well they are handling the situation. Delivery is contactless, and take-out is done very safely from behind a window. This place has never disappointed me.

They always get our order right since we have been ordering at the start of Covid. Its always hot and ready when promised. They are very kind and polite when we are there to pick up. We always order the same thing and its consistent, which we love. We drive way out of our way and past several other restaurants to order from here!

Ordered for the first time from this establishment tonight and was beyond impressed. This To-Go/Delivery only chinese eatery ticks all of the boxes for me. The soup was absolutely delightful and the Mongolian Chicken is some of the best Ive had in Georgia. Reasonably priced quick wait times and friendly staff!! I will definitely be a repeat customer.

We LOVE this place, some of the best Chinese food around. The owner (I believeis usually always there and has a smile and happy to greet everyone. This is the only place we go, and as much as we hate not being able to come and eat at the restaurant, we generally get the To-Go food anyway and is always great. Very good portion sizes and have yet to have any issue with the food order. Thanks for making great food!

My friends and family and I regularly dine in, so often that the servers have memorized our orders! Excellent service always. We have been here countless times and are always in a good mood after we eat. Go for lunch for unbeatable prices! I recommend the Broccoli Three-Star or a bowl of their wonton soup (or both!).

We have eaten at this restaurant at least two dozen times and have never disappointed. Excellent food and unmatched service. Nice open kitchen and friendly management. Great lunch menu, reasonable prices.

Went for dinner. Appeared to be one waitress, one bus boy and one server. It was busy and they couldn’t keep up. Wait times were long. Food was marginal. The hot and sour soup was good but everything else was drenched in heavy sauce. The shrimp & broccoli had a strange clear gel like sauce on it. You get a lot for your money ordering the dinner but flavors were lacking. Doubt we’ll go back.

A place to visit over and over again! The best Chinese food in Cobb County, with the most relaxed atmosphere. You are made to feel like family the minute you enter. Awesome experience! The food is excellent and the service was amazing. I had the jalapeño shrimp and my guests had the mango shrimp and its hard to say which was best. We have been here many times and tried many of their menu items and all were delicious and the service is always awesome!

This place has the best customer service! All we did is walk in to get a menu and order take out. They were so nice on the phone and in person. We told them where we usually go and they said they use fresh ingredients and our regular place uses frozen bags..

The design is the same from like 5 years ago and the food was bad. The chicken was not fresh and the rice had no flavor at all. The little chip things were cold and the the spicy soap was not spicy.My friend had to get his food took back. His chicken frozen chicken and with a gross flavor. I do not recommend this place at all.

Picked up some To-Go for dinner tonight. Dont be put off by the exterior, this place is great. My wife and I’ve tried several other Chinese restaurants off Cobb Parkway and I have to say that this is our new favorite place. The staff was EXTREMELY friendly and welcoming. The service was fantastic. We placed our To-Go order at the store so we sat for a few minutes and were able to observe the staff and they were constantly checking in with guests, insuring that their experience was going well. Our food was delivered to us up front in only a few minutes. The food was AMAZING. We received much more food than we had expected as well. We will DEFINITELY be coming back again.

Amazing food! The dinner combo was huge but came out in courses to make it more manageable and everything was delicious. The only thing that wasn’t fantastic was the fried rice, which was a bit bland. And after our meal we got fresh orange slices and free (smallslices of chocolate cake along with our fortune cookies. A must go to if in town.

If I could give this restaurant no stars I would! The food was absolutely horrible. I ordered sweetand sour pork, they gave me chicken. I figured ok, Ill give it a try. BIG MISTAKE! The chicken was actually jerk chicken. No taste, and it way over cooked. On top of that it tasted as though the oil was old. We also ordered shrimp fried rice, this should be a standard in any chinese restaurant. How horrible! Never again! Way over priced and definitely not worth it.

Currently my favorite Chinese restaurant. We eat here all the time almost once a week. The ingredients are REAL and fresh. The menu selection is astounding and nothing Ive tried yet has been bad. Service is always fast and very friendly with a smile on their face. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Highly recommended. My only complaint would be that the fried rice just isnt very good.

We have been frequenting this restaurant since it first opened. We have always had a great tasty meal. We have eaten in, and ordered takeout delivered at least 3 dozen times over the years. We always tell people Hong Kong Star is consistently an A+ food establishment. However, today I ordered $75.00 worth of take-out and we were very, very disappointed in the quality of the food we received. We ordered two large soups and usually you get the crunchy noodles to add into the soup, however, there was none in the bag. We ordered the BO BO Platter and the items tasted old and the Crab Rangoon was so hard it was inedible. The extra Egg Rolls were mushy. The Pork Egg Foo Young was greasy and the Lo Main tasteless. The other two dishes, Hunan Pork and Sweet and Sour Pork were just okay. We hope this was just a untrained new cook or just a one off experience because we really like the restaurant.Hopefully management will see our comments, investigate, and bring back the quality food we came to expect!

I just moved to the area and was in search of a good Chinese restaurant. It is hard to find a good one. This place came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The service was great and the food was amazing! Prices were very competitive and the restaurant was clean! Very impressed and will continue to keep coming.

After a beach day in Acworth we went looking for some food. This restaurant looks great on the inside. The service from a young gentlemen was one of the best and the food was just amazing! We all got a dinner special with soup, wings and an egg roll. The menu had great variety and they even have a kids menu. I highly recommend this place!

I have been hearing about how good this place is from friends so we decided to give it a try because our go to Chinese restaurant was closed on Sunday. We were so happy we did! Weve found a new favorite. The quality, flavor, and portions are awesome! We will definitely be driving a little further from now on for our fix.

The best tasting Chinese in Acworth/ Dallas/ Kennesaw area hands down. I have been coming here for the past several years and have never had an issue with dine in or carryout. Food is always hot and plenty of it. Dinner is a little pricey but always have left overs for work the next day. Lunch portions are just as big but dont come with the sides like dinner does but its less than half the price.

My first and last time ordering from here. They dont substitute ANYTHING, even if you dont mind paying more. My son is allergic to eggs, and they said the rice is already made. I like FRESH food that is made to order and not just heated up. The only egg rolls they have are pork egg rolls. I will NOT be ordering from here again! With the high prices, one would think they would have better options for individuals who dont eat pork or have allergies to certain foods.

Food tasty but: $17 flounder portion was too small, as was pan fried noodles - barely enough noodles for one person. They do, however, have fried wonton skins and dipping sauce for the table when you arrive :)

We were hoping to find a buffet place but it was late in the afternoon and we were hungry, so we ended up here. We were totally surprised by the amount of food you receive! And it is GOOD! I ended up bringing half of my beef egg foo yung home. And when they brought the bill, they also brought a little dessert with it...a nice touch! We will be back and will recommend to others!
