Low-key, understated restaurant dishing out classic Chinese standards such as lo mein & fried rice.
Food was hot and very good. Good service as well.
Amazing service and food always.
Good food and fast service!
I went in to order for pick up as they were to busy to dine in. The service was friendly. Food was ready quicker than they stated, which was nice. Combo dinner was pretty good, definitely not oily, but it was somewhat bland. Overall good experience but not great, foodwise.
Food was good but I did eat in a tour group so I didnt have a chance to see menu options or other stuff like that
First time ordering from Hong Kong and was satisfied with my meal. I ordered online and found the process easy with many options available to me. The fact dishes were broken down into categories was really appreciate and allowed me to find vegetarian foods quickly. The food was hot when I picked it up and tasted good when I got back to my hotel. I ordered vegetable chowmein and two springrolls which were nothing mind blowing but for still had good flavor. The prices were fair as well.Would ordered here again if I was back in Revelstoke.
Terrible! We’re visiting my mom, and she wanted to treat us to Chinese food. What a waste of a lot of money. Delivery took over an hour on a Tuesday night. The food wasn’t hot ( or even really warm). We couldn’t bite through, or chew the tough ginger beef ( her favourite). The almond chicken was way over cooked, and very tough. I’ve never seen such a small container of chow mein. Barely enough for the 3 of us. The s&s boneless pork with pineapple saved the day. Felt awful for my 87 year old mom after spending close to $75.00. Never again.
Best gingerbeef Ive ever had.I dont know what it was but damn!! Ive had more then a handful of different versions. This one was hands down the best Ive ever ruthlessly stuffed into my gullet! I recommend to anyone passing through.
About 7 years ago, I had a terrible experience here with a rude server who made light of my disease. Today I came in here for lunch, and I had a great experience here. The new servers are super friendly, and professional. I’ve never been served faster, and the food was phenomenal. Tastiest ginger beer I’ve ever tasted, and I love the chow mein. Will be coming back on my next visit to Revelstoke.
Rip off! Ordered lunch for 2: small hot and sour soup, veg fried rice, ginger beef, kung pao chicken, 1 beer and pop. $78 before tax or tip!In comparison the same evening, I spent $98 @ Kawakubo and it was a 5 star meal. The food was disappointing to say the least. The ginger beef had been fried so much, it was practically like eating a cheesie. The rest of the food was average. I can cook tastier at home.Ive had better asian cuisine at the mall for significantly less.Skip this place. Avoid disappointment.
The staff is friendly, menu is amazing but the table still dirty when we get in, the foods we order is not that much tasty as other chinese restaurant, just usual taste for me.
Generally speaking, it’s good! However, the tofu I ordered looked different than the website, and it’s a bit salty. But other things I orders it’s delicious, tasty!Delivery service time to hotel is fast, and reasonable!
We came here because someone recommended this place, and I would like to say that the food is great and the stuff is amazing too, especially the young Chinese girl, was very nice and helpful.strong recommended and will come back next time when we visit Revelstoke.
Always good. 30+ years. Have the ability to get great delivery guys over and over. Dumplings.. curry chicken.. ginger beef.. war won ton.. so good..
My husband and I came here once, 20 years ago while on a drive, and have talked about it multiple times since then. After moving back to the area recently, we decided to give it a try again to see if it was still as good and we were not disappointed!! The food was just as delicious as we remembered. Tons of flavour and not as westernized as most Chinese food restaurants tend to be. It was a great lunch and we thank you for keeping it delicious the last 20 years! My only critique would be for staff to be a bit more attentive. Our server never once came to ask if everything was ok or if we needed anything. Everything was great this time but that would have been a frustration if something was needed. We waited about 20 minutes after we were done before my husband had to stand up to get some attention in order to ask for some takeaway containers and then go to pay.
My boyfriend and I were going out for a nice dinner,he had been here once before and really liked it. We both ordered combo dinners. Disappointing to say the least! Our sweet and sour pork as well as our chicken chow mein were both cold. The only items on our plates that were warm were the deep fried items. The chow mein almost tasted burnt. We were not checked up on once, not until we had sat there not eating for awhile. And when I mentioned the cold food to our waitress, nothing was done for us, no discount, nothing. We paid full price for cold food and bad service, expensive mistake we will not be making again!
Horrible serviceNo smileThey were not serving the food the server just tossed the plate on the table and it was not what I ordered, server gave me the food that I order but the behaviour was very rude never going back again
Me and my fiance had been driveing for 48hrs and got delayed in Revelstoke for 3 hours so we tried Chinese which we normally love. We were greated by a young lady who couldnt be bothered. When we ordered I got dry pork instead of dry ribs and my fiance got sweet and sour chicken balls instead of fried rice when we got our food it was more or less tossed on the table and when we told her that the order was wrong she huffed and grabbed it off the table. She brought back the same plate saying we could eat what was their and she would bring the rest when cooked. The food was terrible and the service was worse never eating there again.
Really great delivery tonight. So quick, so fresh, and so delicious! Had the chicken chow main, sweet and sour pork, ginger beef, hot and sour soup, and the most delicious was the super crispy chili salt and pepper wings.
Terrible service, disgusting food, if I could rate it less than 1 star I would. I’d recommend just going to WK Garden right next to it instead.
Excellent food 😋 and great staff 👍always treat me and my mom good
Used the on line order app tonight. They said it would be an hour. I phoned back after 90 min and they said it was sitting there and they still had to phone delivery guy. I AM NOT IMPRESSED
dont know if they changed oqners used to be great last time as garbage, changed my order I paid extra for and gave me chicken balls which were gross and the meat was all fat , before was 5 stars now 1 and portions were way smaller. cmon what happened ?
Food is merely OK to me. Very fast service. Random fact: when ordering sweet & sour pork with pineapples, you get canned pineapples.
Very surprised to find this level of Chinese food, even when comparing to our go-to take out places in Vancouver!Great quality of ingredients, excellent taste and very good portions. We would highly recommend this restaurant.
Ordered the family of four meal tonight and everything was excellent. More than enough for another meal and plus some. Everything was cooked perfectly and still hot when it arrived. Can honestly say we have never had a bad meal over many years from ordering from this restaurant.
One of the best restaurants in Revelstoke, BC. It is located in downtown, Revelstoke.Small restaurant with quick service and friendly staff. The food was super delicious. Their food qualities & quantities both were equally superb...really liked it.
we had our lunch on our way back to vancouver.the decoration is kind of out dated. I hope they can have a interior designer to renovate the inside. they really dont need to put together all those "so called Chinese Culture stuff" to show Chinese culture, it it could be done in a differently.but, dont go away because of the outside.i will give 5 stars because the stuff is very friendly, service is very good, the food is great. we ordered black pepper beef, and shanghai fried beef noodle, they are so authentic. we even order a second fried beed noodle.
We ordered directly from the owner and she catered to our taste. She made our Shanghai fried noodles and seafood fried rice authentic Chinese. Our kids even requested it again! Waitress was very friendly as well.
Very quaint but the food is very tasty. The nice young lady working there was very friendly and helpful:Our first choice for chinese food in Revelstoke.
Nothing fancy, but good value for the buffet.I have added a star Jan 2020. I only go for the buffet, but I find it is getting fresher. It is typical "Chinese Canadian " for the buffet.Good value.
Best takeout Chinese in Revelstoke. Big portions, always accommodating when I ask for Egg Fried Rice which isnt on the menu.
The loveliest people working there, and the combos for one are MASSIVE! its rare that I or any of my friends finish an entire box in a sitting. Add in yummy food at a fantastic price and you really cant go wrong! They are doing wonderful with their covid precautions, and currently allow for pickup or delivery :)
This is my 3rd visit here and the staff is always friendly the food is very tasty a must stop if you have never been you must try it
Were not picky eaters however we were very disappointed in the dishes that we ordered. Basically all the dishes were flavorless, used the same ingredients in two of the dishes that we ordered even though they were supposed to be different. One of their curry dishes, was watery and barely had any proper ingredients. The owner seems very nice but we were looking forward to having a great meal but it was far beyond that.
One star was the lowest..ordered the number 7 for one....it had more batter and bone than pork in the dry ribs the bbq pork fried rice I could hardly see the BBQ pork the portions are just filler at best..wouldnt recommend it to my worst enemy..
Very authentic and saucy. The food was soexcellent that we ate there twice in three days! Ginger beef was exquisite. The one employee communicated with us quite well regarding our order. Large portions, would strongly recommend!
Great location, great food and great service.
Was there for the lunch buffet which I would say is not worth the trouble. Very little selection for $15. The place itself was probably last renovated in the 1970s if I were to guess and has little ambiance. From some comments I have seen it sounds like the weekend dinner buffet might be better. Might try this sometime.
The owner is very kind. The food is superb. The chef is able to cut ginger and potato into fine slices, which explains the wonderful stir fries.
On a stopover for a night we visited this place with high hope to get something really flavourful and perhaps a bit spicy. Not so busy when went, but filled with Chinese diners and perhaps visitors. The waitress staff could not understand the concept that we were vegetarians and some vegans. On asking if which noodles had egg, she had to call the owner manager. She was much better and suggested a few dishes.Ordered some Hot n Sour Soup, Mushrooms Egg Foo Young, Vegetarian Noodles and Fried Rice. The soups was more sour than hot. The canned mushrooms and bamboo shoots didn’t help. The kids loved the Mushrooms Omelette (Egg Foo Young). The rice and noodles bland and surprisingly under flavoured. The service was good and thoughtful. The inside not so pleasant.
Absolutely fantastic!!! 5 stars for the service and for the food as well!!! We ordered 6 dishes for take out...everything was the best we both had in a long time!!!! We’re not from around here so we went by the reviews...no regrets here👌🏼 Thank you for the great food and service🙌🏼 We loved it!
On a motorcycle ride through Canada. Stayed for the Buffet / Smorgasbord - it was excellent! Very authentic food. The most amazing WonTon soup! (my personal favorite); the noodles are my second favorite.
Friendly server.Chinese good.Good value.Family friendly.Dont order the fish & chips. They are fish sticks. Stick to the Asian food. It was very good.Wait staff brought us each water. And talked about the town when the restaurant was quiet. Friendly town.
Our group of 7 from Alberta decided to try this resto but were all disappointed!for drinks we all want water with lemon,.and this waitress want to charge for all the lemon!,like really??????? How expensive your lemon in Bc?so we ended up having 2 glasses with a verrryyyyyy thin slice of lemon!then were starting to order and she looks irritated because my friend is asking question n their menu.we will never recomded this chinese restaurAnt.☹
Authentic, tasty, good value, huge servings. Ignore the nasty reviews. Some of the staff dont speak english, so take that into consideration before making nasty comments. I would definitely go there again if in Revelstoke as this is a healthy choice amoungst so much unhealthy, mass procuced fare served up elsewhere.
It seems to have INCREASEINGLY gone down hill in the last year. The eggs rolls solely consist of cabbage and come literally dripping in oil through the paper bag. Anything deep fried comes with the smallest dibble of sauce or things like sweet and sour pork come with way too much of the wrong taste. Beef and broccoli and any noodle or rice dishes are so soaked in oil you should wash your face. ( try putting it in the fridge and you can see it)UPDATED:My love for Chinese got me again. This time I got a angry "HELLO?!" which I asked for the 6th time if this was a restaurant... followed by me asking if I could add specific items to the combo meal. My response was a women yelling at me. Over a question. Food got here quickly but unsure if it should be eaten after being yelled at over asking for the options for a combination meal. All items greasy but ediable.
Chow mein was runny. Beef tasted off. Chicken has a non chicken texture. Deep fried Shrimp was greasy. I guess they are doing thier best but I have tasted better chinesw food.
For north American style Chinese food is a good location with a great buffet. More authentic Chinese food is available in town, but this style is of course quite popular with most people. Can be a busy location for dinner with the all you can eat buffet option.
Garbage. Recommended to us by the desk clerk at the Sandman motel. Went there with my son who also knows good Chinese food. Greasy, tough, salty, just nothing good to say. Horrible interior, questionable cleanliness. We only stayed because we were starving and had been on the road for a long time. Stay away. Oh yeah. Expensive too!
