Hong Island - Tourist attraction in Phangnga, Thailand
Great island. Nice lagoon
The overlook point has an amazing view. Worth the climb
Absolutely gorgeous. One of our favorite islands in the world and is great for swimming , snorkeling, and hiking. The natural trail is easy and beautiful. The toilets are clean and easy to find at a central location. The restaurant offers a variety of food entrees, juices, bar, snacks, and sweets, and the staff are very friendly. The view point is easy to find, very safe to walk and climb and offers the best views of the Andaman sea and nearby islands. The instructions say it takes about 49 minutes to climb to the top but it took me 7 minutes while carrying a big backpack and making a few quick stops for pictures. There are multiple decks on this point. We had more fun here than any other island. Must visit! You can skip Pakbia and Ko Lading without regret. 300 THB/person for Hong National Park on arrival. A private long tail boat costs 2500THB all day. Highly recommend.
An unique place on earth. The speed boat takes to this miracle island from Phuket takes 40 mins. Small boats are taking tour of this island without any extra charge. But a tip from 50 to 100 bhat is desirable which is worth giving for their service and kindness. One small boat can carry max 3 person.
A phenomenal island! 😍😍
Book the day tour to Hong Island. Travelled via the speed boat. However, i would recommend to book the private longtail boat as it cost between 2300-2500B for the entire boat. I guess the highlight of the island trip was the last stop where I trekked to the summit of the hilltop. Though it was a tiring climb, the views were magnificent from the lookout point. Good thing…. there is a restaurant at the beach if you are feeling thirsty or hungry.
Another gem among the Krabi islands . Must visit if you are there
Mindblowingly beautiful island. A must see!
Nice beach to relax with a view point and an d small café. The swing was fun, expect people queuing to take their best shot for social media. That itself was funny to see.Snorkeling wise, not much to see except few fishes and sea cucumbers but still fine to kill time.Adding that the lagoon behind this island is beautiful, only accessible by boat through high tide.
Wonderstruck by the beauty of this place. Stunning to say the least . Went in a kayak. Spotted a beautiful horn bill and fabulous rock formation.
Beautiful Island! The construck of the island seem like the bricks put on the circle concrete and cover with blue sky screen. Im surely if you visit here, you can get a nice short!
Hong Island, Krabi Province Is an island about half an hour from the shore if traveling by speed boat on the island, food is available. There are officials of the National Park Service. wild animals and plants There is a 360-degree viewpoint on the top of the hill on the island. The walkway is stairway in 419 steps.
Come here early at 9 am then you can lay on the sand to hear the natural sound without peoples noise
This is a place that you must visit! Amazing white sand beach, nature trail (saw a monitor lizardand 360 viewing point. Nice places to buy food and cold drinks too, amazing!!!
Planed to visit in the morning ,due to festive season couldnt get a boat to reach there in the morning. Afternoon visit was great too ,just missed the lagoon visit due to low tide, there is entrance fee for national park, cannot fly drone without permission. beautiful beaches , there is 360 view point ,its a worth climbing.
Beautiful spot, but cloudy, jellyfish filled waters the day we went and it was extremely crowded. We had come to go snorkeling, but you couldnt see a thing in the water at all. Not sure it was worth the money to come this far but the Island was nice and well cared for.
Very shallow lagoon, accessible by long tail boat... memorable place.
It is not amazing. 300thb to enter. it is small and has only one small area to swim. Many many better islands and trips you can take. Hong Island is a tourist place. I came during slow season and the beach was packed. I couldnt imagine what it would be like during holiday. I would suggest other tours as this is a pretty location, just not the best location.
Gorgeous Island with double wing shaped beach. Crystal water, perfect sand. Amazing view from the top. Vidited in Novemberwhile Test&Go was allowed. Almost no tourist
Must visit! Clear water. Nice view. However, you cannot swim here.
Hong island offers nice little beach to do some snorkeling to view some of Krabis marine life, a short hike up some steep stairs to an amazing view point, and a breath taking lagoon.
You shouldnt miss visiting this place while youre in Krabi or Phuket. Best place to go swimming and snorkeling. Lucky this time as there arent many tourists yet. Water is so clear with lots of tiger fish. This is my favorite islet by far.
Luckily we were the only group visited. The landscape is gorgeous as well as the panoramic view on the viewpoint.Crystal clear water and white sand perfect for sunbathing.P.S. I took the boat from Klong Muang, which is faster. Only 20 mins ride by longtail. However, same price for taking the boat from Noppharat pier (40 mins ride).
Transparent turquoise sea is so stunning here. You can see various unfamiliar ocean fishes while walking from your boat to the island. There was some entrance fee but trust me it worth. This island made me wow when the I arrived the island pier.If you dont believe me, see below pictures!
Beautiful beaches, clear waters.Suitable for swimming.
Beautiful clean sandy beach. My kids lovingit!
Donʼt expect crystal clean water from there. Itʼs crowdy though.
This place is an amazingly maintained island. Great fish population.Good diversity in the type of fishes.Great coral collection. Good safety for people with well defined boundaries. Enough life guards.
Ha.. such a beautiful place to spend your holidays. We did kayaking and snorkel over here. Only problem with this place is it gets crowded by noon, so try to reach here by morning. Try to book speedboat to reach this place, it costs you around 800 THB. Happy holidays...😀.
A very nice little Island, it is a little crowded but not owerly. There is also a little resturant with clean toilets. :)
Dont forget a mat to here you would enjoy the seen on the beach and dont forget to carry a snorkel, It is not the best place for snorkeling but you will enjoy to see fish.
Beautiful beach and amazing swim. Rocky, but with appropriate shoes not a problem. That is if you get there before others and can have some space for yourself. Restaurant by the beach, shakes and pancake place suffice when you’re hungry. Entry to the island by a floating pier, which is an entry to Paradise.
Nature at beauty, quite crowded with other tourists but less compared to phi phi island tour. Can kayak, snorkeling, eat at canteen. Bring your sunblock! Lifeguard available
a great day trip on long tail boat, worth the visit and the national park fee. Recommend to spend more time here for snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. the other stops on day trip such as the hong island lagoon and other beaches is not as large or nice.
Beautiful beach. Nice walk in the jungle. There is a 7/11, also a picnic area.
Beautiful place, peaceful, love the environment we were at the right place at the right time. Friendly locals, easy to find halal food. Our guide was friendly with great sense of humor added in this trip. Sea kayaking gave us a new experience we never had before, its tiring but all the sweat washed away by the beutiful and scenic view. Love it 100%
One of the best island visited till now. Super clean. Must visit if you are in Krabi.
Beautiful sights. But not private at all. Available sightseeing is only the beach.
The Hong Islands are a group of rocky blips in the Andaman Sea, located just off the coast of Krabi in southern Thailand. A popular day trip destination from Ao Nang or Krabi, the islands are fringed with rain forests, hidden lagoons, and white-sand beaches. The BasicsThe Hong Islands are rife with secluded beaches, coral reefs, and sea caves to explore. There’s something for every type of outdoor enthusiast—Railay is popular with rock climbers, Koh Hongs Hong Lagoon is a calm place to kayak, and Phang Nga Bay has scenic views and great sunbathing.Longtail boat or speedboat tours are a good way to visit the islands and typically depart from Krabi or Phuket. Some excursions include snorkeling or kayaking, and often feature stops at Khao Phing Kan, Ao Nang Beach, Phi Phi Island, and Lading Island.
Nice beautiful beach near Krabi. Lot of companies have boats to this island. It was a good experience visiting this island. You can go on a trek inside the island or do snorkelling or just swim. The beach is very clean. A bit crowded in the morning. Afternoon visit here is better. Highly recmmended.
Amazing experience the view is magnificent, the water is nice, the view is amazing the kayaking is a plus and the fact that you can go jump for a swim off the platform is great.
Whenever you are visiting James Bond island this place will come in between. From big boat you will be transferred to KAYKING and will be taken to this island. Here you will get the chance to get down to island (beachand take pictures with familuly, friends and your loved once. This is very beautiful and peaceful place. If you are Phuket than you should not miss the visit of James bond island. And on the way to James bond island you will get chance to see this beautiful place.
Beautiful place to spend few hours if you dont mind paying a hefty 300B /100B child/ entry fee! Gorgeous beach with white and very fine sand. Theres a little nature trail to cool yourself down if too hot on the beach. Food services available.
A beautiful white sand beach on Hong Island. The beach not crowded and we spent a fine time there. Travellers must visit the lagoon on the other side too.
This is probably the second best beach I’ve ever been, little crowded but still a very very nice beach to spend the day at.
My trip to James Bond Island also took in Hong island and other small islands. Its well worth the effort! Its incredible to see these limestone outcrops in the middle of the ocean. Its also not hyped up like Phi Phi island so its more relaxed. Enjoy
Very interesting but tends to be a long tiring day when you do these day trips. Cost is 2,200 Baht per couple.Includes food and a bit of entertainment. Andaman Tours.
This place is amazing and was one of our favorite spots in our trip to Thailand. The kayaks tour is perfect and let you see the island from amazing point of view!
Lovely place to see, alive with birdlife and beautiful trees and plants. Quite shallow, so not always possible to row in with canoe. Had to drag canoe in, and row further. Still fun! Piranha rock and heart tree cover to look out for.
Two weeks of Phuket was the most fun minute Ive ever had on vacation. The canoes on the line were waiting for us. We settled as two adults and one child. After traveling a little over the sea, we watched and photographed caves, narrow canals, stalactites, stalagmites and small hidden treasures with excitement and curiosity. About half an hour of canoeing was fascinating to us. When we returned to the boat, fresh tropical fruits were waiting for us. I would recommend you do these tours with the speed boat boat. Transportation is getting faster. They are taking you to far more points. And you can spend more time at these points.
