Home Hanoi Restaurant - Vietnamese restaurant in Son Tay, Vietnam
Fine Vietnamese dining. Great atmosphere and very attentive servers. Good selection of drinks. I was amazed by their spring rolls (both row and fried).
It was exactly what we wanted only with surprising touches of decadence. The passionfruit lobster got them the 5th star
Food presentation is nice n taste good as well 👍
After hearing a fair amount of hype about this restaurant, I was left feeling pretty lackluster about it after dinner. There were some decent dishes on the menu like the green mango salad or grilled beef with onions (forget exact titles of dishes), but the majority of our other dishes like sizzling duck, steamed squid and fried prawns were all overcooked and under-seasoned.If you are visiting this city and interested in trying out different Vietnamese dishes, youre much better off exploring the more casual eateries and street stands as they are 1/5 the price.
Excellent fine food.As good as you hear and read.
Food was good and served fast, otherwise service was ok -- not unfriendly but a bit confused despite language not being a barrier. Prices are high for Hanoi (100k-150k for starters, 180k-300k for regular mains and up to 1600k for lobster+ 15% (VAT and service charge).
Very beautiful, good food and nice people
Bun cha have less rice nodle, but, anything is very good
Awesome Vietnamese cuisines here! Ppl are friendly and foods are super tasty. A must visit when you’re at Hanoi. 👍👍👍
Very nice lunch. Fresh and yummy.
We passed by this cosy looking restaurant which looked almost empty and wanted to eat here immediately. Unfortunately all the tables were reserved, so we had to wait an hour. We came back 20min later and then we could have a table directly. Food was served swiftly by the kind waiter. Large portions and very tasty but a bit expensive.
We made a reservation for lunch at 1pm on Sunday but were told as we were entering the restaurant that last order is at 1:30pm and the restaurant closes at 2pm. The service was somewhat lackluster, with disinterested servers who don’t pay you much attentionThe food was pretty good though, albeit somewhat expensive. We couldn’t finish everything, and they helped us take away our leftovers as per our request. We spent slightly more than 1 million VND in total after tax.The ambience of the restaurant is quite lovely. The liked that the toilet was spacious and clean.
3.9 Its good and delicious but overpriced compare to many good restaurants in Vietnam. The red wine served in room temprature although it is very pricey. I dont like the fireshows with the food, so Arabic but catch of the day and wok fried beef was good.
Home Hanoi Restaurant looks like an Boutique restaurant, the location is not easy to find, but once you get near enough you may differentiate by its unique mustard building color. Very french classic at the interior design, 2 floors in total, and I love the interior design... warm and cozy. The food is good at a fair price, average of 10 ~ 15 usd per dish. And it has a very good selection of wine menu
A clean and tidy place to eat viet cruise. Comfort environment and quality food standard here. Price is in the high side and seems most of the customers here are westerner.I prefer eat seafood here as it is more safe than eating in road side.
Excellent Service, Nice staff Anna & Tutu.Food delicious, Must visit here if you come for Hanoi local food.
The food is delicious and i like the "beef with mushroom". The environment here is nice and the waitress here is friendly and sweet.
I have nothing but good words. Nice food and great atmosphere. Would definitely return next time.
Too expensive for normal occasions. Food is good as the prices. 3 stars as you may find a restaurant with similar qualities at lower prices. There are better alternatives in Hanoi
Id rate this 4.5 stars. Loved this place! We took a cab from Hanois Old Quarter to dine at this highly rated restaurant, and we were not disappointed. We ordered food enough for six people, and only spent 100 dollars. Not bad for a high end restaurant with beautifully presented, delicious food. Id go for the Catch of the Day and the Bun Cha as my favorites, but really, everything was delicious. While it could be a date night type of place, there were families who were dining there, too. Dress just a notch above casual.Servers were attentive and kind enough to call a cab for us after our meal. My only complaint: bathroom could be cleaner, thus not a five-star rating.
The environment is excellent and comfortable. I think most of people are tourists from my session. The food is good too but just little overpriced.
Absolutely the best place to dining... it can be a very romantic place, historical and party place too. Beautifully painted in yellow while this colonial building still kept all the elements of previous story to share with their clients.... most importantly good service from their waitress and chef gave all of it to us as their customers. Every food have story to tell. Its Vietnamese hospitality and gourmet I can say.... must be here for a great food in style... inexpensive too if u have to ask....
Fancy vietnamese restaurant. I took a grab to visit here for lunch. The restaurant interior was elegant but cozy. My mom and I loved bamboo rice very much! You could smell bamboo from the cooked rice. Price is relatively high compared to other local restaurants so check menu before going.
We really enjoyed our (firstdinner in Hanoi in this cozy restaurant with live musicians and great atmosphere. The only thing that made us sceptical was the amount of tourists (like ourselvessince we saw no locals in there. However it was a good restaurant that we reslly enjoyed, rhe fiod was so delicious.
Loved almost everything we ordered except the beef with lolot leaf - traditionally the beef is wrapped in the leaf but here they just stirfried them together, so it became quite a boring and tasteless dish.Dont miss the oysters and cha ca though! A local friend told us the cha ca is traditionally served with fermented shrimp paste but I guess most foreigners wouldnt be able to handle the smell. You can still ask for it if you want to.Great ambience if you sit outdoors with the live music (although I gained quite a few mozzie bites)
Taste very normal, and some dishes Poated here not available, can only be provided by set menu which has to book in advance. Not wealthy of 4.4 Score.
Food was amazing here. Clean upscale place, expensive in vietnam terms but dinner and drink for approx €18. Staff have great English and Wi-Fi also available.
Popular Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi. The food is good overall with favorite dishes of spring rolls and sizzling claypot fish. However, drinks are sub-par – the cocktails were very sweet and not the right combination and the wine selection was somewhat limited and didn’t taste goodAmbience is very nice / a mix of old Hanoi with little umbrella decorations / old-style restaurant and modern vibes. Music is excellent
Home Hanoi, what a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food, decor and ambience. The house is beautifully decorated and the design of the furniture and plates really suites the overall vibe of the restaurant. Chill with a level of rustic elegance.Overall, this place deserves a whopping 10/10 as it has dishes I will definitely come back for again and I highly recommend you to try this restaurant if you are ever in Hanoi. Well executed Vietnamese food at a very high level and quality. But the main thing that made each dish pop were the various fish sauce based sauces that were served with each dish. By adding different herbs or varying the concentration of vinegar and fish sauce, they were able to achieve a perfect balance for each individual dish.———— Food review of the items I tried —————Appetisers:Nem lui nuóng sà cây - grilled minced pork on lemongrass skewers that were amazingly tender and juicy.Nem rán truyên thông M - Fried spring rolls, deep fried perfection with juicy and tasty minced pork and mushroom filling.Muc sôt mâm tòi - Marinated squid in “Mam” garlic sauce,Tender grilled squid with an umami packed garlicky sauce, simply delicious and well balanced.Chà cá Lâng nuóng than hoa cuôn bánh tráng -Grilled catch of the day served with rice paper, noodles and herbs kept warm over a hot plate of burning charcoal Such an interactive dish as you are able to assemble your own roll so you can enjoy it anyway you like. Fish was nice and tender and well marinated, when wrapped in the crispy rice paper and herbs, it’s a mouthful of heaven.Gòi cô hù dùa càng cua vâ tôm cháy - Grilled fire prawns served with a crispy rice cracker and young coconut bud and aroma salad. Nice and light salad with deliciously grilled prawns which were cooked to sweet perfectionMains:Luòn vit nuóng sôt thào môe - Marinated grilled duck breast with herbal sauceJuicy flame grilled duck breast with crispy slightly charred skin and a tangy flavourful sauce to cut through the richness of duck meat.Com rang ông tre - colourful fried rice with egg served in a bamboo holder for added fragrance and presentation.Wonderfully smoky and deliciousTôm ú giây bac muôi nóng - Marinated prawns with herb on hot saltMarinated prawns wrapped in aluminium and “baked” over a charcoal fire until the shells were nice and crispy while the meat, hot and juicy. Dip it in a bit of chilli sauce for some added oomph.Wok fried summer blossoms with garlic has a texture which is almost similar to sea grapes or broccoli. Very delicious and sweet with a very obvious breath of the wok flavour. This vegetable is only available during the summer period, thus the name summer blossom.Dessert:Chuôi chiên côm non M - Deep fried banana with young puffed sticky rice and coconut ice cream. It tastes like the most perfect goreng pisang with added crunch factor from the puffed sticky rice while the ice cream acts as a nice sauce to pair with the fried banana.Bánh côm truyên thông xoài dôt - Traditional green sticky rice cake with caramelised mango. Tastes like an Ang Ku kueh with caramel and mango, not the greatest of combinations as he mango doesn’t work well with the cake in my opinion.Bánh Kem Lanh vi xoài và lá dúa - Mango and pandan Panama cotta, tastes like mango pudding with a pandan cream. Not great as well as the pudding is not smooth due to the mango fibres and the Pandan cream doesn’t work with the pudding too.
We had marinated duck, grilled prawns, wok fried grass noodle and Hanoi’s pillow cake with eggplants. They were delicious!! We loved each piece of food! chef made cake without mushroom for me. Stuff was so friendly and Cherry took care of us very well! We enjoyed our dinner a lot:highly recommended.
Such a unique setting for a fabulous meal. Love the lighting and creative detail throughout the space, and the live music (a violinist and guitaristreally set the tone for our dinner. The service was impeccable. Our waiter made fabulous suggestions, and we were happy we took his advice. He recommended the Traditional Hanoi grilled Lang fish.. this is a dish Ill never forget. Really incredible flavor - I highly recommend trying it when you go. Everything was tasty.. made it hard to save room for dessert! We really enjoyed the fried banana and Jack fruit with sticky rice. What an incredible experience from start to finish... dont leave
This is a special treat in HaNoi and what a lovely setting! In my opinion it is for sure a must try. The food was spectacular and very traditional, and every dish is made sure to have the perfect flavor! Our waiter was Khanh and he took such great care of us! We will be in Hanoi again later this week and plan to go for a live music night.
A villa, old architecture France. The Vietnamese food is authentic y delicious, the music traditional. The best price. A ideal place to interchange the culture with my friend from el salvador
Food was really good. We finished them even before we realized that we forgot to take photos of the food.Roasted duck is the best!
great location, great food. The waitresses are so friendly and welcoming! Highly recommended! A must try in Hanoi
- great location for date night, business dinner and lunch- recommend the duck and pho cuon- live music and friendly staff
Delicious Vietnamese food set in a quaint Hoi An style finery, with the classic Vietnamese lanterns and yellow walls. Our dinner was set to live music and the waiters were courteous. We had the taro spring rolls which were amazing, and the sautéed tofu.Make sure you book ahead of time, seats are limited and its best to sit outside for the best atmosphere.
The ambience is so romantic. Food overall is good.and the waitress Giang served us well.
Me and my bf ordered 2 salads for starters and they are terrible. Theyre like cheap Vietnamese salad dishes with a ridiculous price. But on the contrary the main course is brilliant. We had some roasted beef with mushrooms and black pepper, sweet and sour soup - it tastes just like Thai Tom Yum, and some rice.As a Vietnamese, I love the texture of the rice here, its dry on the outside but soft, moist and sweet from the inside, best match for the soup. The beef is soft and full of flavours, a bit spicy of black pepper and very hot cause they serve it in a small burning pan.The staffs are so nice and friendly. It was on Christmas Eve so each guest received a cute small box contains gingerbread. The place is very cozy and pretty. I just wish they had made the starter better.
Nice food. But the weather must be good to enjoy the food. I am eating at 18 degree C, to me, the weather plays the most important part.
The customer service was amazing! The food not so much. The starters were terrible. The fried squid was inedible and the banana salad didn’t have chicken breast it had chicken thigh. The salad was bitter and tasteless. The grilled squid was OK.. it lacked flavor. The tofu and eggplant had very little flavor.Out waitress tried but was not trained well. The manager was wonderful and gave us free tea and dessert to make up for the inedible starters.
The dish is so so except for the soft shell crab , do not try the pork , too dry .
Wonderful place. Staff attentive and efficient. Food lovely. My tip - book early to avoid disappointment as it is a very popular place
Wonderful experience, fabulous food and very proffesional waiting staff. Dont miss the oportunity to visit this restaurant.
Good Chinese style food, service needs improvement, caters to large and tour groups
Beautiful restaurant, great service and excellent food!
A super delicious, generous meal in a lovely setting. Friendly staff, and a huge menu to choose from. We had lotus bud and prawn salad (my favourite!), roast duck, eggplant and tofu hot pot and vegetables with peanut salsa. All delicious and big serves. We also had a few cocktails. While this restaurant is not cheap by Vietnam standards, its still inexpensive for a delicious, and fancy, night out.
One of the best restaurant in Hanoi. The food is very delicious, great ambience and the service is top notch. A bit pricey but you pay for what you get. Highly recommended.
"Life brings you to unexpected places, but good food brings you.... HOME."Lovely ambience with quaint decor, great food and amazing service.Highly recommend the beef with chilli and lemongrass and grilled halong squid.(Both recommended by our lovely waitress)Deep fried jackfruit with sticky rice dessert was a good end to our meal.Location is a bit far off from old quarter, take a cab.One thing we noticed was that although management had put up a notice saying the restaurant was fully booked, but we noticed many empty tables stayed empty throughout our meal there. So book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Excellent food in a lovely Vietnamese restaurant, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was vibrant
