Holy Cow in Gothenburg
Description
Privilege
A really good burger (I tried the chilli oneand shake with rum! Great service too. I would happily eat there again
MoreVery nice burger place w/ good variety of beers. Loaded fries were little too salty but otherwise delicious.
MoreDelicious burger with great service. The sweet potato fries topped with Parmesan is great too. Reasonably priced.
MoreFood was great but only a single toilet and no urinal lead to long lines on a Friday evening.
MoreExcellent food and atmosphere! Best burgers in the city!
Fancy cow is a beautiful burger and I’m not even a burger person. The fries are also up to my high standards
MoreOne of the absolute best burger places in Gothenburg (Ive tried pretty much all places during the last 2 years, so I know what Im talking about).
MoreAs usual amazing burgers! However I have never been a fan of the super slim fries that many places sell... This one included.
MoreSuper nice service (and really fastand incredible food! Absolutely recommend this place!
Moreordered a fat cow very good 10/10 recommend
Pretty nice burgers but the quality is definitely worse compared to when it first opened.
MoreGood quality burgers, each one with its recommended beer.
Awesome burgers and good fries! Would definitively put it on top 3 burger places in Gothenburg.
Morevery delicious burger with reasonable price! We chosen media and the meat was very juicy although the doneness of the whole patty is not so average. The nachos also quite good. The only obvious downside was the sweet potato fries, which was too salty
MoreGood burger, a bit on the small side. Great sweet potato fries. Missing the umpf.
MoreSeriously good burgers! Recommended!
A burger without fancy things, simple and delicious. The sweet potato fries that came as a side dish was very well made. The staff was very nice and warm.
MoreI do not recommend this place for vegetarians. There is only one vegetarian burger option and the patty is just a mush, everything fell apart. The sides and drinks were OK.
MoreOne of the best burgers I had in Göteborg. Very friendly staff and the place is very cozy. I ate Fat cow burger and I recommend it, it was juicy and ver delicious. Its nice for a date and casual friends night out .
MoreReally good burgers, definitely somewhere Ill revisit. The starters were also good and quite a lot of food for a person. Would recommend a visit if you like a traditional good burger.
MoreNot a place to go to if you know good burger and craving a juicy one. Mediocre place. We shared some fried starters, nachos grande and a plater. Burgers we had holy cow and fancy. Would go with the fancy cow if you ever come across this place. Seating was uncomfortable, we had a bar table and seats had no backrest, and they couldn’t give us another table even though we had a child with us. Service was nice otherwise.
MoreSmall, crowded, kinda noisy and since they were closing the day after our visit the bar was pretty tapped out.BUT! The burger was truly great. Good ingredients, tasty cheese and patty that was perfectly pink in the middle.Staff was kind and nice, seemed like it was mostly English speaking.
MoreI have been eating a burger on Monday 22nd of June 2020.I went for a classic combo holy cow burger - french fries plus a pilsner beer. The meal was very tasty but the added value was the outstanding service. The staff was very nice and it can deal with customers in an excellent manner.I really felt like at home other than being served tremendously quickly and in an excellent way.
MoreGood burger place near Korsvägen. We tried drunken cow and fancy cow along with chicken taquitos. Taquitos was hot and crispy. We got the burgers medium done, as they recommended. Burgers aren’t very crispy like in Tugg/Burgersson but they had a unique and flavor. We liked the service and calm ambience. Recommended! Vegetarian should try the no cow burger!
MoreThe patty is juicy but its not seasoned enough. It has good variety but a burger with caramelized onions is missing in the menu. You can ask staff for burger of the month, its usually a good option. In general, its a cozy and nice place to eat burger in Gothenburg. Dont forget to book beforehand.
MoreThe restaurant is only a five minute walk from Gothia Towers. Visited for dinner this evening. The restaurant was busy, however yhe atmosphere aas pleasant and not too loud. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had two burgers, one of which was vegetarian. Both were excellent. I also had a milkshake for desert, which came topped with cream, and was very tasty. Having just arrived in Gothenburg, the waitress very kindly provided us with some local information and potential places to visit. All in all, my partner and I had a very relaxed evening with great food and service. Well worth a visit.
MoreThe place obviously prides itself on its burgers and so it should! Burger was large, tasty and not drowning in grease. Partner ordered the mega nachos, I dont think 3 people could have ate it, well worth the money!
MoreI Really DON’T understand why people give this place such a good grade. Frankly i feel “tricked” to go here by all the positive reviews. The meat is dry, the spicy burger is not spicy, the fancy burger is not fancy (it tastes very little.the fries (both potato and sweet potatofelt not cooked enough, too few, and the cheese on it was almost nothing. The expensive dip was absurdly small. The milkshake was really nice though, but we ordered two different ones and just got the same. There are many better places than this.
MoreHoly cow is a great burger place. But for 5 stars the meat should be great to eat alone. I missed something there. And the sweet potato fries was too soft.
MoreThis place is a definite must if youre into burgergs. Top notch stuff. Signature burger Fancy Cow.
MoreA small place with friendly staff. Good burgers and loaded fries but a little bit pricy. Apple pie was totally raw and cold.
MoreA really good burger place. The fries were so good! The veggie option was a little lack luster, for 2019 I expect a better patty. But it wasnt unpleasant and the rest of the meal was delicious!
MoreGreat burgers! Option of salad instead of buns was perfect.
Super friendly staff, delicious food well priced, cozy atmosphere
OK burger. Nothing special about it. Service is excellent, and they have some good beers (unlike other burger places except 2112). This place is considered to be among the best places to eat burgers in Göteborg and you may like it more than I did. I still have not found a burger place in the town to which I can give more than 3 stars.
MoreWow! Really, really great burger. Probably one of top 3 on my list. Perfectly juicy, medium rare, and tasty. 🍔👌🤗😇
MoreFantastic burgers and shakes. Nice setting and the staff is always friendly. The fried halloumi is amazing. One of my familys favorite places to eat. A+
MoreBurgers are great. Really tasty. The millshakes are ok. Theres not that much beer to choose, but enough. However if you plan to eat in the evening, then I suggest to book a table in advance because this place is really popular and hard to find seats. I was sitting at the bar since all tables are fully booked. The staffs were nice and friendly and their sweet potatoes are awesome XD.
MoreSpicy cow was one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had. A must try!
Nice people, amazing meat(especially if your choice is rare), always full so reserve a table is you dont want to sit at the bar but that is also ok :I would highly recommend to try this place while visiting Göteborg. Big appreciation to the Holy Cow team!;)
MoreOne of the top 5 burger places in town. A really cozy place with really nice waiters. The burgers come alone without fries but they are served medium rare and are really juicy. They also serve hotdogs although i havent tried them.
MoreAs an American who has been living in Sweden for almost two years, American burgers sound too good to be true. However, Ive been three times and each has delighted. Its pricey (as expectedbut not unreasonably so, especially given how good the burgers are. A small place, it situated my family of five just as comfortably as when my wife and I went for date night. A good assortment of different styles of hamburger, including a vegetarian one that sounded tasty, delectable fries assortments and a few other options if you dont want burgers. I will go again, to get my hometown fix, and would definitely recommend. Staff has been friendly every time including once where the owner sat with us for a few. Love it.
MoreGreat burgers!Among top 3 burger restaurants in town.Clean and nice with a great atmosphere. Food are mainly hamburgers and that should be the reason for visiting. The staff made an excellent job explaining the menu and giving advise what to eat and drinkGood pricing compared to what you get
MoreFriendly and attentive service, relaxed ambient. My expectations were high after reading the reviews however the overall taste was just okayish. The cook on the meat was really good but it was almost tasteless and sort of grainy. If I didnt order pickled onions, the cheeseburger would be way too dull. Didnt order a side but ordered a rose wine which was just mediocre.
MoreThe burgers are fine but their sweet potato fries are THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD! They are super fresh and served with fresh parmesan - to die for. The place itself is quite cosy but not for staying too long. A little minus is the ridiculous American country music they play. In spite of this, worth a visit.
MoreGreat burgers. Brillant menu. I will miss the Stinky Cow though.
Nice and friendly staff, great burgers for a reasonable price and an overall great experience. One we arrived it became clear that there were no tables available. To make up for this the staff let us sit in the bar, which to us worked out just fine. The resturant is located pretty close to the tourist attraction called "Universeum", and so if you are visiting the attraction, Holy Cow could work out perfect as a lunch place.
MoreGood burgers, nice service and atmosphere. The siren side is the lack of wine choice. One red, one white both bad. The sweet potato fries are not anything you like to order. Ordered medium but severed rare. Thats OK but why not any salt and pepper in the meat patties? All in all good burgers; perhaps we were unlucky?
MoreThe burgers were delicious and the atmosphere and decoration very good. Staff were friendly. I liked their sweet potato fries too, except that it was too salty for me. Definitely want to visit again when I revisit Goteborg.
MoreAmazing food, decent portions, friendly staff, nice atmosphere... and reasonable prices (for Sweden!). What more can you ask for? The stinky burger tastes a million times better than it sounds, drunken burgers were swiftly demolished by my friends too. Lovely place - will definitely be back.
