Hollywood Media Hotel Berlin in Charlottenburg-Nord

Nice hotel dedicated to film industry. I like it but little renovation (redesignwould be fine to leave 90th 😀 Quite expensive, but I guess normal price for Berlin.

Positive things: The beds were comfy and I slept well. The location is good and the staff are friendly and helpful.Negative things: I had some cleanliness issues on the bed sheets but generally the room was clean. It was a bit on the noisy side so I could hear the cars passing by on the street. However I slept well because of extreme tiredness. The furniture is a bit old. I came here after staying in another hotel which was cheaper and better located

City location not far from the Tiergarten. Themed on film stars. Rooms fine, parking limited in garage but on street overnight parking is ok before 08:00.

Great hotel with nice big rooms and private underground parking.

I booked a parking spot in the garage and they charged me EUR 19/ night for a spot at check in. When I wanted to park my car last night, I saw that all parking spots were taken! Explained the situation to the receptionist and asked him for help. He said he couldnt do anything, the person I needed to speak was his manager but, unfortunately, he was not available. Honestly, the whole situation and especially the interaction with the receptionist was quite unpleasant. Anyways, be prepared for the worst in case you travel to Berlin by car and plan on staying at this hotel.

Well located, good size rooms which are well equipped and maintained. Breakfast was very good. Overall a very good choice. I would have given it 5 stars but receptionist on arrival made the worst impression on us and bar was below standards compared to the rest of the hotel.

Nice location and welcoming staff. The room are also very quiet and comfortable but the design is a bit outdated.The breakfast is tasty.

Great breakfast selection, pleasant staff. Air-conditioning was making noises, complained about it, but didnt improve the situation.

I really enjoyed having a few beers here and people watching. While this is not a very busy place, and I picked it for that purpose of not being so close to others during the pandemic, it provided a nice place to get a beer and chill out... with free wifi! Cant complain about that. The beers were 5.5 euros and the service was good.

The Good:The Hotel is located 5-7minutes from Savignyplatz SBahn and UBahnThe room was decent size, clean and with all the expected amenities.They have a good Italian restaurant and bar in the hotel.The Bad:The staff at the reception need alot more training on how to deal with guests.. especially International guests who dont speak german..Upon checking in the lady at the reception got very impatient when I asked her if my room was facing the street which is not noisy.. which I had requested during booking.. she immediately became defensive and told me rudely that she will give what is available..After 2 days when I met another Receptionist and she was much louder and borderline rude when I requested for her to check with her superior if there is a room for me to extend for 1 more nightThe only saving grace was a gentleman (from Moroccan backgroundwho stepped in couple of times to diffuse the situation..He surely is an asset for the hotel..

Super clean rooms, good breakfast and great location!

The room is spacious, full of light, very clean and staff generally are friendly, we are giving two star for the family with young kids (1-5). The building from outside looks like concrete, however inside the sounds proof is probably not the best. Most of the guests here are senior people, I do understand they are much more sensitive to sounds. On day 1 we didn’t notice the thin walls and floors, we received complaint and they asked us to take our kids out - We took the rude feedback seriously and do not want to disturb neighbors, however on day 3 when entire family are sleeping for 40 min already, at 21:45 reception calls us complaining about our noise. In fact this phone call woke up every one in the room!! Maybe we are unfortunate about this neighbor who hears sounds that does not exist, but if you are traveling with young kids please bear in mind majority of the guests here are not all tolerant about your family, just make sure you choose a more child friendly hotel.

Hotel reception very active, a fridge equipped with drinks in each room and a tea and coffee cabinet also, a wonderful chef at the restaurant the dinner was great, unfortunately I never tried the breakfast but overall good

Good hotel, very clean, nice staff, room @ the front was very good, train station 5 min.walk.have visited berlin 7 times this was my first visit to this hotel but would go back there again.

it was a fantastic stay. what we enjoyed the most was toilet seat not being so low, the same goes for the wash basin. Also good were the din 4 sheets explaining the steps for the TV and other items.Very helpful were the rush-hour time zones for breakfast, very good. Its the first hotel we have been to with this nice feature.Of course the highlight of your hotel are the photos of famous movie stars and posters of movies. My wife went to the trouble of taking some pictures and once at home she chose a movie to watch.Hotel is nicely centrally located, very close to a bus stop and short walk to the subway, it couldnt be better.The in-house restaurant was very good, well-worth the price. All-in-all for us it was a nice stay and it wasnt the last time.Feb. 2022 Driesner

Great location one the Kurfurstendam and ideal for U Bahn and S Bahn and local restaurants like the always friendly El Dorado. Hotel breakfast choice is excellent in a very comfortable dining room. Ive stayed there many times and no complaints except I do wish theyd clip the beds together as its two singles to make a proper double...if your not very careful they will part like the Red Sea at potentially what could prove to be an awkward moment! Always love the movie theme and photos...generally friendly staff and they were very helpful in printing the Covid forms now required. More than happy to stay again...would totally recommend...JM

One of the best 4 star hotels in Berlin. Receptioners are friendly, Rooms are tidy, cozy, and well equiped with essential stuff. It has wide variety of foods for breakfast-buffet. The gym and Sauna are free of charge. Each room has its private mini bar which is useful for welcoming your private guest in your room.AND, there is a feedback form on your room, that you can write your feedback about services, facilities, and all subjects related to your stay in the hotel. I barely see the feedback form in 4 star hotels which is important for me

We have a good stay in this hotel..but when we are about to leave for check out, the elevator we were into, fell down uncontrobably.. we are inside with our 3 yrs old child.. Thanks God we are almost arrive in the ground floor when it happened and we have to wait for technicians to arrived to get unstuck for 30minutes... because of this we missed our train to our next destination and the man in reception wasnt even apologetic and and even told us that it wasnt their problem if we missed our train amd doenst even offer us anything.. so we have extra charge for taxi and train and we have to wait 4 hours in central station with our child for a new train ....

Beautiful and one of a kind concept of the hotel. But more things need to improved on especially in the Front office Department. Its a great location of city center - for shopping, restaurants and clubs! I love how clean and organized the room was. We stayed there for 6nights! But it would be better if the housekeeping will replenish the things in the toilet everyday, like vanity kit and showering cap. They only replenish once. For the service wise, Im not really happy with the Service in the Front Desk. Me and My husband celebrated our 3rd wedding monthsarry. My request has not been done. I requested for a flowers for my husband prior to our arrival but when we checked-in to our room, flower has not been delivered. I was hoping during our stay for a flowers but sadly wasnt done. The day we arrived in the hotel was quite early. Weve been told to come back at 3pm for a regular checked-in. We came back in the hotel around 15:30, queued up for checked-in but we were waited for an hour. Is that really the process of checkin-in ? Im not sure if they are lack of staff or the system was having a bad connection coz there was no information has been announced. But checking in was way too long! And we both tired from travelling. We would greatly appreciate if people in the front desk would advise for any delay might have caused, but there wasnt. People working in the front desk dont smile too. They look tense and so serious! Quite difficult to approached. Hope that someday, other guests would not experience this.

The hotel 🏨 is good all the rooms is very large its looks like to be in the apartment 😀 and in every room you have a different scenario of a famous movie 🎬 I had casa Blanca I like it 👌

SERVICE: was excellent top to bottom. everyone was nice--reception, housekeeping, servers, bartender, and esp. the breakfast staff. The cook even made me pancakes when the pancake machine ran out of dough!GOOD LOCATION: 2 mins to subway: buses just outside that go to Zoo station and it is also n easy 10 min walk to Zoo station and about two blocks to S Bahn at Sauvigny Platz.RESTAURANT AND BAR. both good. also can sit outside on the Kudamm itself--very cool!BREAKFAST. i highly recommend the breakfast. It is really good and we ate so much we did not need lunch-ATMOSPHERE: It is NOT corporate! Plus it has an interesting theme that movie buffs or families can enjoy. The owners clearly care about this hotel. The owners love the cinema /Hollywood spent a great deal of love, time, and money in very thought-out film-based decorations such as real historic movie cameras and staged vignettse, hundreds of framed movie posters, and pictures of movie stars. All the details were really thought out right down to the Casablanca-themed napkins in the breakfast room. But I never felt overwhelmed by the decor. if you are into film you will love it. if you are not, it will not be distracting.

Fantastic hotel , nice decorated and Wonderful situated. Each floor is arranged in the atmosphere of the cinema of different eras. Very good value for money. Extremely clean hotel. Right next to there is a great Italian restaurant Capone with good food.

Good hotel with good beds. Big rooms and good bathrooms. Just a shame off the bathtub instead of a walk-in shower.Breakfast in Restaurant Capone was excellent, such nice & forthcoming service!

Breakfast is excellent, lots of choices for everyone. Breakfast staff is friendly and the women on the reception are very hospitable the male reception staff are slow and very standoffish. Standard rooms are clean and spacious be sure to book a higher floor room with view on the side street to avoid lots of noise from a nightclub located nearby.

Hotel in an excellent location- near to restaurants, stores, metro station. Parking. Very helpful staff. Breakfast was so good with lots of choice. Comfortable and clean place. I would certainly recommend this hotel!

Very nice room.Perfect location.Possible to park in hotel parkhouse, at a fair price.The only negative thing was the breakfast restaurant. The restaurant is much to small, so it is hard to get a table.The food itself was perfect. And it was nice with a glas of champagne.

A fantastic hotel close to all the really upmarket shops in Berlin. The 109 bus from Tegal airport stops 100m from the hotel. So makes it very accessible. The U1 underground is also very close to the hotel. Breakfast is fantastic with a very wide selection of choice from cereals salads to Fully cooked choice which changes every day. Enjoy a glass of fizz with your salmon. What could be better? The theme of Hollywood is everywhere including the minion lift! A late checkout of 12 is fantastic as is the breakfast times of 6.30 to 10. All round a great hotel . Will be back.

Breakfast was splendid starting with sparkling wine, salmon and herrings. Of normal dishes was possible to make healthy meal. The sauna-department in 6. story was excellent. The room was big and comfortable.The staff was friendly. At the first evening was heavy rain, so I took the supper in the Capone restaurant, were you can go from hotel by the inside door. Meal was good and cheap.

Great location. Safe area. Luxury brand shops, grocery stores and restaurants around in the area. Convenient and comfortable stay when in Berlin. Friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. I will stay here when next time in Berlin. Had booked the Deluxe room but previously also been satisfied when booking other room categories. Bed at bit hard.

Our junior suite was quite large, but lacked warmth of design. Bed was fine, pillow selection available, front desk staff -- some good, some not so good. Ate in Capone restaurant...average, really...but the mixed selection of appetizer plate was really great.

Very great hotel. The hotel rooms are very nice. There are very good cleaning on the rooms. The staff is very friendly, and they do a good service.It is a excellent breakfast/brunch at the hotel - with a lot of different food :-I will give the hotel my best recommendation.

Our 4 nights stay in December was wonderful. Room cleanliness was very good, bedding was comfortable, location is in convenient proximity to public transportation and in walking distance from some west-Berlin main attractions when weather allows, and breakfast is the best one can find. In-room safe-box is pretty large and operates with your own magnetic card.Staff are friendly and provide lovely service, doing their best to assist.A real mini refrigerator and some complementary sparkling water would have been appreciated, but even so I recommend this hotel for your stay in Berlin.

Excellent hotel, room was lovely and clean. Breakfast excellent, everything you could ask for, tables beautifully laid and food spread out very well. Couldnt fault it, in fact the best breakfast I have had in a hotel. Location good, near buses and U Bahns, and lots of shops around. Would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

The free cellular phone provided with your stay is absolutely unexpected and amazing. There was one day the clean lady forgot to put my clean towel back, WiFi signal was at its weakest point (the hotel was fully booked the staff explainedbut I love the breakfast - its even better then other 5-stars hotel I stayed two days ago in the Berlin city center. The movie theme is very unique too.

The ambience of the hotel is truly full of Hollywood! Right from the entrance to the individual rooms. The service of reception managers is very cordial. The breakfast buffet is quite varied and delicious. Theres a lot of scope to take amazing and funky photos with epic Hollywood backgrounds. :)

For a so called 4 stars hotel, it doesn’t deserve better than this rating. The hotels looks nice at first sight but the rooms are far away worth a 4 stars, especially small bed for 2 people in their ´new modern bedroom’. Also one very small bed comforter for 2 people. I never saw this in other hotels. After asking for another bed comforter (had to go down to the reception because no one was replying on the phone reception), the staff gave me another bed comforter with a bed cover. But I (a clienthad to put the bed comforter in the bed cover and take it to the room myself. This is not something we call a service. I had in the past more devoted staff and respectful in even hotels with only one or two stars. When we booked the hotel we asked for a calm room which we didn’t get as we could hear the noise of an engine outside.

Loved the hotel...had emailed prior to arrival requesting that our suite be on a high floor with a city view.. we got the top floor with a lovely balcony! Staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.. breakfast was varied, generous and very tasty...location close to all public transport and plenty of pleasant cafes and restaurants on Kudamm and paradise for shoppers...loved our visit to beautiful Berlin and would certainly revisit the Hollywood Media Hotel..quirky, comfy, different!
