On a private beachfront property overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, this laid-back resort is a 5-minute walk from dining, shopping and nightlife on Senegambia Road, and 2 km from Bijilo National Park.Simple rooms in modest bungalows have fans and air-conditioning, sitting areas, en suite bathrooms, and balconies or terraces with ocean views.Amenities include an open-air restaurant, an outdoor pool, and a bar surrounded by gardens, as well as access to a private beach. There are also music and entertainment events nightly.
lovley hotel for the price, staff and security are all wonderful people, only 4 starts because of the scroungers on the beach every day (not the hotels fault they do clear them off if seen)
Great for groups
Service is outstanding, rooms are clean, staff are very very helpful
Great place to stay friend who staff very tidy place
We went in February. The hotel is basic but very clean and the staff were incredibly helpful if necessary.I will definitely be returning and would recommend to others .Some evenings there is entertainment and the food served at the Pool bar/ restaurant was very nice
Bungalow was very outdated and in need of repair. The food is good. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
A lovely place the rooms are cleaned every day ,the food is very good the staff cant do enough to help you close to the main bars and restaurants 😀
Its alright , nice big pool , bed a bit soft , lovely staff and gardens
Lovely location. Very helpful and friendly staff
It is what it is a 2 star. Nothing special but then again it is gambia. Lovely staff all ok what ever they do. Friendly helpful. Love it.
Very clean friendly staff safe closed off section of beach
Fabulous setting. Rooms very clean. Basic breakfast which varies little and becomes tedious although you can buy a good full English at most of the restaurants outside
Very basic but conveniently located. Be prepared to pay extra for everything, A/C, fan and fridge. Rooms very outdated and not very clean. Good pool but impossible to get a sunbed as they are all saved. No kettle, cups, plates so no idea why the rooms have kitchens.
Good clean Good food you would have got 5stars if it wasnt for all the extras that you have to pay for like a fridge aircon and a safe plus the is no kettle in rooms apart from that great staff gardens lovely great pool.
I am staying in a neighbouring resort and can hear them until 5 am most nights.Spoke to unhappy guests in local restaurants and bars and they described it as Inbetweeners movie style.
Lovely surrounding and food there is quite good and priced well in the hotel. Air-conditioning some times dont work. But overall a lovely place
I was there not long ago fantastic holiday not forgetting the amazing staff that make you feel so welcome have already booked to come back in November looking forward to seeing you all then .
Good, not fantastic but good
Okey hotel with nice pool and very friendly staff. Rooms are not the best..
The grounds are kept beautifully and well maintained. Rooms are basic and clean if you get a garden or beach view one, however blocks A and B are damp, dark and cell like. I paid extra for an upgrade to garden view. The free breakfast supplied is VERY basic and not well presented. Meals paid for are very different being freshly prepared, good quality and excellent value for money. Drinks prices at the bar are good to, and the pool area is always clean and tidy. The staff are mainly friendly and helpful.Free wifi in the bar area is very weak and intermittent, this is something that in 2020 really should be updated and available over the whole site or the hotel may loose out to the newer more modern hotels developing nearby. The Gala events on Christmas and New Years eve were a lovely free event but a bit a chaotic. It might have been easier if each table was called individually to receive food rather than mass queuing. The sound system for the entertainment should have also been checked and in working order so as to not let the artists down by appearing unprepared and amateurish. On the whole I enjoyed my stay but in comparison to the more modern design and developments locally to the Holiday Beach Club I feel they might do better if they improve their services and all rooms to a higher standard.I enjoyed my holiday but was just a bit disappointed that it cost extra to achieve reasonable standards with both rooms and food.
Great place to stay. Central to Everthing. Lovely staff. 👍
The staff at the hotel can not help enough, made some really good friends! the location of the hotel is perfect.
I gave 4 stars because I feel there is always room for improvement in any establishment. I loved it there. My room was good and right on the beach. Great views. There was a small problem with the bathroom door it was reported but nothing done. Least of my worries. Breakfast was ok. A bit repetitive but I chose how to mix it up. Beware of the monkeys especially if you eat bananas @breakfast. Everywhere was clean. The staff worked hard and very friendly. To say its basic is not fair. I had a bed and facilities. It was up to me to enjoy it. I did. I also would like to praise the unsung heroes. Security and the laundry ladies. We know about security. Laundry?. You have clean towels and sheets. All washed by hand. Give them a thought when you are having a good time.
Wouldnt stay here again but the staff and people are beautiful x
What a let down been coming here for years....staff couldnt care less....all money orientated now....can see this place going down the pan...all I could hear was repeaters of this place saying never again......
Good food at affordable prices, nice swimmimg pool, beach area is isolated by fence from real beach. Safe, room fridge, air co and wi fi (free zones in swimming pool and beach barare nedded to be extra paid
Good value for moneyLoved the monkeysAnd you meet some lovely peopleOther guestsstaffWe had a great holiday
Very clean. Staff nice. Beautiful views
Stayed here a few times.its improved since the new owner took over.free wifi in the bar area.food is very reasonable and as good as anywhere on the strip
Absolutely fantastic ...you dont need your 5 stars keep it just the way it is, never have we ever met such friendly and helpful staff, from gardeners to bar to reception....DEFINITELY going again .
Lovely place in Idyllic settings wish I was still there
Nice hotel . Fantastic staff Food not the best but good for snacks
So nice we booked again
Beautiful setting....lovely people .... good food at decent price..... bn going at least twice a yr for past 12 years.
Great holiday staff lovely very friendly lovely people x
Just go there. Its the best value hotel in gambia.lovely grounds close to the beach, pleasant rooms and constant cleaning and hot water.dont even ask about the fishing, wow!
You can see lots of wildlife around the well kept grounds. The rooms are basic but what you expect in Africa. The pool is nice and the staff are very friendly and dont hassle you. The breakfasts are basic with not much choice. The hotel is close the the Senegambia strip and the walk from the hotel to the road is a delight if you like wildlife close up.
Loved staying here. The rooms are basic but clean and the staff are great. The only thing that let it down was the entertainment...there is something every night except sunday but not really my taste. That is a personal issue and not the fault of the hotel and there is lots to do in surrounding area.
Brilliant holiday this was our 5 th holiday at holiday beach club enjoyed the breakfast and staff were very polite only 1 thing about the key the safe key would open any door ?
Love this place. Pool area spotless. Good cheap food and drink. Excellent staff.rooms cleaned daily although rooms in the blocks need updating.under new management so only going to get better
Lovely relaxing place friendly staff
Poor breakfast display, not much choice, not enough sun beds towels on beds but no people had to go to another hotel/ beach bar for sun bed,
not good people are friendly needs a big clean
Owsome fpr holidays with family very beatiful place.
Bed and Breakfast.Just Tea and Coffee or a juice with Bread and Cheese or Jam and one egg omelette or boiled no extras like onion or hot water unless paid for.Breakfast staff miserable unless you talk to them first.UK visitors from other hotels can only wait at the poolside for guest. But if u pay u can av prostitutes staying over night.Thomascook charge the same price for the best and worst 2 star Hotels.I would not go back there and I will check reviews before going next time.
Cheap hotel but extras very expensive air con £100 per week WiFi £23 per week
Staff are great. Reasonably priced.
Best hotel to relax in banjul. Lovely peoples thanks a lot. Merci from London
Good hotel with a wunderfull garden. Big pool and direct at the beach. Very poor breakfast.
Enjoyable holiday for the money. Hotel very tranquil and secure. This hitel situated at the top of the strip away from all the hustle, but a very short walk to the strips bars.Rooms are basic but clean. Could do with a little up dating. Monkeys do roam freely. Beautiful beach area and pool area. Staff friendly, pleasant and helpful. 24th Jan 2016
