Hogans Café Bistro - Cafe in Celbridge, Ireland
Fantastic food for being in Ireland, good service, cooking in front of you.At least once, real and not packed food, not oriental hot food at reasonable prices in Ireland.
Nice breakfast & tea , will be back
Nice breakfast, great sausages, bacon and pudding but the fried eggs were overcooked, scrambled eggs dry and the coffee was bad, I couldnt finish it.
I have been to Hogans Café Bistro on a number of occasions, I have always found the food to be delicious, the service excellent. There is a very good menu to choose from which is also very reasonably priced. I always very much enjoy eating at this lovely establishment.
Myself and my family have been to Hogans on many occasions. The service is friendly, the food is delicious and varied and prices very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Hogans as a place to visit
The food and service were both good. Only docked a star because there were a couple things forgotten when the food was delivered and we had to ask a couple times, but otherwise great. Id go back again.
Pulled pork sandwich is lovely
Went there during the week and it was lovely. Went back today and it was a shambles. Didnt put the bacon in caesar salad and we clearly said no tomatoes in a club sambo because of allergies. Came out with tomatoes still on it, took it back and literally just took the tomatoes off despite them even asking was it allergies. Came back out with tomato seeds still on it. Really not good enough and if it was a serious allergy you could kill someone behaving that way. The lady who served us was lovely though but really not good enough at all.
Nice breakfast and good price
Anyways visit Hogans when in Celbridge. Friendly place, great staff and tasty food especially the fish and chips and steak sandwich lovely coffee too.
Tasty food, good service and a huge menu
Very nice good service and good food
I had shwarma and it was nice. Chef and team are kind and welcoming. Would love to come again :)
Had breakfast.Asked at time of ordering that sausages be left off.Guess what, they arrived on plate. No one was asked for vaccination certs.Bad value for money.Wont be back.
Definitely not a bistro any more. When I started coming here it was light & airy with a gorgeous display of cakes and pastries and great tasting food. Stopped in Celbridge today and was utterly disappointed to find a grubby looking seating area with business files and cleaning products on full display. The carrot cake I ordered was for some insane reason heated in the microwave and was like cardboard. The coffee was like old dishwater. The only reason I stayed was to escape the heavy rain. It’s easy to see why there’s so few customers, eating here is not a pleasant experience
Lovely clean restaurant, I enjoyed my visit there.
Came here for lunch. Was looking forward to a good shawarma. chips were OK. The side salad was meh.The main star, the shawarma had a very sweet taste to it, touch to much cinnamon? The lamb was very tough and chicken was dry.The bread that came with it, didnt taste the freshest and could have spent a bit longer in the oven. And the biggest let down was the sauce, garlic mayo, didnt taste like garlic mayo. The "hot" sauce was tasteless with no spice to it.All seemed like frozen/out of a jar to me. Which is a pity. When done right and fresh homemade a shawarma is heavenly.Staff very friendly, had a great chat and laugh with the owner.
Had large breakfast there yesterday. Absolutely fantastic. Coffee seemed to have more milk than flat white I asked for, but it was good (I ended up having two). Very nice staff.
Very expensive for what it is. Just had 2 coffees (latte and Americanoand two chocolate muffins... Had expected homemade muffins as they were €3.5 each! But got generic factory muffins which are available in roadside gpetrol stations for €1. Total cost for this €12.25 - wont be back.
Beautiful fresh food and lovely staff!
Loved the food and Staff are great craic 😊
So friendly and spotlessly clean, food so fresh
Gorgoues breakfast and such friendly staff. Will be definitely be back!!!
Amazing decent food. Great staff
Nice little spot for breakfast. Well priced and tasty food. Got a lunch to go. Would definitely recommend.
I had a vegetarian breakfast excellent
Visited several time and on each occasion found it to have a bad atmosphere. Recently I visited with 2 men who have an intellectual disability. The girl taking our order couldn’t get us away from the counter fast enough and to my horror the manager walked in just as we ordered and loudly said to the server “Have They Paid?” right in front of us. Also I felt continually watched while there as if being hurried out of the place. Speaking to my colleagues at work about this I was informed they had similar experiences in Hogan especially with wheelchair users. Definitely one to avoid if you are expecting a warm friendly and accepting atmosphere. The Mucky Duck/ The Village Inn much more relaxing and welcoming
Can get breakfast before 10 on Sunday in Celbridge which was great. No where else did. Hassan is a gentleman too.
Nice and quick service, good-tasting food that was exactly what I wanted (bacon, poached egg, and some toasted bread). The breakfast isnt anything fancy, but I didnt expect it to be.
Friendly 5 stars. Food was adequate. 9 Euro Irish breakfast, no butter or jam. Coffee tasted hours old. So, meh. But they were open and no one else was on a Sunday 11am.
Too dark. Food out too quick. Didnt enjoy it.. staff very much in ur face..
Lovely place for a meal or just a coffee and nice staff and the place was spotless
Nice friendly place food is great staff lovely friendly and welcoming when you enter
Excellent friendly service. Breakfast was so fresh and tasty. The coffee was by far the best I have had in a very long time.
Very good meals, calm place, nice staff!
Nice and cosy café where we had nice food and relax time. The staff is nice and welcoming, and the food is amazing, I suggest one of the panini, they are all really good. The place is really small so before going there I suggest to give a call and book a table especially during the weekend .Enjoy.
We stopped here at the Cafe for just a few minutes on our way to Dublin via bus. The employees here are beyond helpful. We sat at a small table outside the shop and were discussing whether or not we should go in to order when someone came outside to help us. They took our order, brought out our coffees, helped us find the right bus, and even swapped out our notes for coins (since the bus only accepts coinsall in a matter of minutes. For the short time we were at Hogans, the people there were beyond helpful and welcoming. The coffee was also excellent! Well be visiting again asap.
Great atmosphere, friendly warm welcoming staff,,, Christine was an excellent hostess , an looked after everybody as if they were her friends ,, would highly rate this place ,, nice comfortable relaxing environment
I went into this cafe after visiting my sister Claire in Glenashling Nursing home and was pleasantly surprised by the food and the nice friendly girl who served us. I will be back there shortly for more of the same
Very nice food, sausages are gorgeous, good quality
Great menu, great place to eat if you have food allergies, the chef will discuss your options with you 👍
Very friendly. Management. Our last stay before leafing ireland
Food was a lot better thank I expected. Service was very good. Restaurant is a bit on the dark side. Also the bathrooms could have been cleaner.
Staff are super friendly. Food is great quality + good value. The serve is really quick but they dont hurry you to leave
Very bad experience! Me and my partner went for a meal before Celbridge street festival started and we decided to try the homemade lasagna that came very hot but in one minute was cold and no taste at all but the worst thing was the number of flies...
Great coffee. Not suitable if you wanted to meet a group of friends, as there is not many chairs - its very small inside. Best to takeaway and take a stroll in the grounds of Castletown House, right beside this cafe!
Yummy food & great service. Staff couldnt of been nicer, real friendly atmosphere! Highly recommend!
Great coffee, great food and great cakes at a fair price. Nice relaxed feel to the place and good staff. Deserves 5 stars.
Quaint cafe. Friendly Staff. Not expensive for a nice bit of breakfast!
Best place for breakfast and lunch. Nice food and great service
