Same old hogs breath, same owner. Must be different chef, steak was chewy, mash was yesterdays very hard to swallow. They forgot my meal and charged me twice for. Not happy

Service was good, prompt, friendly and attentive.The varnish on the tables has become sticky. It would be impossible to ensure their cleanliness, which is awful at any time but in this era of Covid totally unsatisfactory.Good food portion sizes.Curly fries were leaking oil and limp looking.Totally exorbitant pricing.

Lacking atmosphere in comparison ALL Hoggies Im used too. Friendly enough but not overly prompt. Meal proportions were way off and differed greatly between the table. And Deb in place of mash potatoes... Really disappointed overall.

A former shell of itself.- Overpriced, quality of food is subpar.- Service is from super young staff who usually dont have an answer when asking a question- Steak is a hit and miss with what you ask for. When I ask for medium I get well doneSomeone needs to take a good look at how it operates because its certainly gone down hill.

Sent 2x of our dishes back as they were inedible and still charged for them, lady waitress working lunch shift was incredibly rude and not phased by us sending plates back. Super disappointing this was a childhood classic and now I wont be going back again

Cant justify over $90 for my son and I to have a meal, I had a steak, he had a burger and we shared some garlic bread and I had a soft drink. Just not worth the money, Hoggies isnt what it used to be.

Understaffed, approached 2 staffers who were run off their feet. Ordered drinks with the first, never came. Asked the second to take our food order, said hed be right back. Never saw him again. Bar staff were non stop. Left and went to Nandos, ordered immediately, seated immediately, food within 15 minutes and friendly staff.

Glen and the team from Casuarina NT store are always so friendly and even remember our order. Food is consistently tasty, large meals, good prices. Great vegan and vegetarian options.

Occasionally a little inconsistent and it can be a little annoying when multiple people ask you how your food is in the middle of eating (perhaps try stick to just 1 person askingbut you generally know what youre going to get, food is cooked well with large portions and staff are always very friendly.

The food was great. Had the garlic prawn steak, medium, with some salt paper calamari and Moscow mule. Very tasty, steak was moist Abbas had a beautiful color in the center. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Thanks God and Mae, and I didn’t catch the name of whoever was at the register, but she was great also. Very patient and helpful.

Its started with Our entree side plates would of been nice, so i go up an get some plates an the ones i was given ( 4 of Were absolutely filthy at best wipe clean still oil on the plate, One of our chicken burgers had a bug on the lettuce,( this is by NOT washing the product correctly thay did cook another an chips on the house so thanks but no thanks I, we , my family will not be back thank you

The food was great & the staff members were attentive. Thank you to Neil and the sweet lady from India . My friend and I enjoyed the night.

Good food and great service. Dont worry about getting a steak any bigger than the Lite Cut though. Theyre too big to finish as it is.

Tasteless and Expensive. We ordered the steak and ribs duo. The steak was soft and pink which is good but completely tasteless, no flavour. The steak was grey in colour, obviously microwaved. The rib meat was soft, fell off the bone but dry and tasteless except for the sauce. I’ve been to plenty of pubs that do tastier steaks at almost half the price.

Service was good, but just dont think the quality of the beef was up to the usual standard I have come to expect from Hogs.

Staffs are friendly, food served pretty quick and taste good except for hubby he didnt quite enjoy his order Prime ribs steak. I had the seafood with chorizo spaghetti which was quite a big portion too.

Friendly and attentive staff, they were busy for a Wednesday night and obviously having to adhere to social distancing. My husband had a delicious steak curly fries and salad and I had the Ceaser Salad, we were really happy with our food and enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere.

I took a photo of how bad my meal was. It takes the gold medal for worst meal served 2019.Ordered the scallops and steak specialThe scallaps were so over cooked, that they shrunk and shriveled up. One of them was around 2mm thick.I got past that, and went on to pour my creamy garlic sauce over my anemic steak. Honestly the sauce was worse than the one from Coles that you microwave.Anywho, the salad was alright.

Unfortunately hoggies food quality has gone done in the past decade. The service is excellent here. But I think the chain needs to work on their food. This chain was the best place to get a steak. But in recent years its becomw very mushy and lacks texture.

Service was superb as usual. The meal itself was too much. In that, by the time we had finished, we were no longer comfortable. We ate too much. 😂Update on this review.Had a meal on 30/8/2019.Most disappionted.Service was superb as usual. A pleasure in itself. However the meal was totally misleading. Ordered whiting with squid rings, prawns and salad. The squid rings were not served until we questioned where were they. The whiting was totally non existant I am not sure what rubbish fish it was but definitely not whiting. Explaination was we use imported (no excuse)fish.Serving staff are the only reason we may go back again. They tried very hard but are not responsible for incompetence in the kitchen.

We went last night and the restaurant was pretty busy. You can see the waitstaff running around trying to hold their composures. The waitstaff who assisted us was lovely and efficient. Food was amazing. I thought the 3-course meal was a very good deal. Indeed a value for money.Please, send my warmest thank you to all the crew who were on last night. They all did well. 🥰

Backstory....We live remotely and have come to Darwin for my son to see a specialist tomorrow. Young fella is scared and nervous so to try and calm him a little we decided to have a nice meal at "Hoggies".After arriving and being seated in a less then half full restaurant, it took about 20min before someone came back to take both our drink and meal orders....luckily cause another minute waiting and we were leaving, having watched people and families arrive after us yet all received there drinks before we could even order ours.My wife and I ordered a 3 course meal and my son had ordered a kids fish and chips, entrees come, then my wife and my mains arrive and are put down on the table. Thinking the kids meal will be out shortly we begin......nearly 10min later we are all but finished our main and still no kids meal. Wife goes and asks about the kids meal.....as we finish our meal the staff member brings out a complementary bowl of curly fries and says he has put a rush on my sons meal as it had been left off the order.Sorry but when there is only 3 people sat at the table surely you get 3 meals right on the order.......or even the staff member who brought my wife and my mains could of checked either on the order and with us......come up and say excuse me....did you order 2 meals or 3 meals.Luckily, as I said at the start, we live remotely (Nhulunbuyand unfortunately when and if we are back in Darwin......WE WILL NOT BE BACK AGAIN TO THIS RESTAURANT

The staff were friendly and the food was excellent. Though wait times were a bit longer than expected, the food portions were more than enough to accommodate.

The fish and chips was the worst I have ever eaten. Very expensive for a woeful meal. The size of the ribs was tiny, mostly bone, and overcooked. The price for such a poor experience was shockingly exorbitant.

Food was no good. Steak was the only food cooked properly. Had Mediterranean vegs It was.just steamed vegs. Mushroom gravy was a very poor grade and the service we had to get the attention of staff to get water or drinks.

Good steak and its very tender. I always order Mega cut (400g). I believe the steak has been sous-vided. So its very tender but it needs a bit more caramelized on surface to bring out the char grilled flavour. All in all, good steak and nice atmosphere.

Very slow in service. Got to sit within 5 minutes which was awesome but waiting to order was killing. Probably not going to get to order food if not call a staff. Been waiting half a life time starving before getting to order. Not like it was busy or full of customers. A few staff kept walking pass without asking if ready to order. Few things to improve.

Hogs has always been my favorite steak house ,I have not been recently due to a makeover in the menu which really put me off a little. I still love the place and still think its the best steak around.

Horrible. Second time eating there and it just made me depressed. Requested takeout... 10 minutes late. Got the bag and the bottom fell out. The bread was stale, the fries were missing, the brisket was a dry chunk of meat, the potatoes that did come tasted like they had been left out from the day before. Very overpriced horrible food.

Staff were so lovely, I ordered the ceaser salad which was amazing. Hubby ordered the big burger and loved it. There isnt much room if you have a pram, but highchairs are available.

Comfortable ambience and somewhat friendly staff. However, like most Hogs joints Ive been to, the food takes at least 30 minutes of more to get served. Its understandable but frustrating when youve got a hangry family of five.

Good proportion. Nice food. Nice drinks. Well organised menu. Goood place for friends gathering after shopping or a movie. I love the burger and the Steaks and my fiends love the ribs.

Great food and environment. The baby back ribs are delicious. The menu is a bit overpriced though.

The foods good but Ive been there numerous times. Every time I go there they tell me their signiture 18 hour steak is unavailableEvery single time I go its unavailable. Im convinced they dont serve it here.

Not sure if its because of the region but my medium rare was a bit too rare for me. Other than that they have good steak and beer.

Two Staff members on the Girl was doing her best the Guy acted like he didnt understand, asked for a Corona Beer and a Glass of Water with Lemon , he brought out a Corona and a Bottle of XXXX , der!!! And the Whiting Fish was worse then Homebrand and the wait for service was long just about non existent.

Terrible food and awful service. Took 45 mins to deliver 2 entrees and a kids meal. Forgot about bringing our drinks completely. I had to remind them of each item not brought to table.Kids hated it and were grumpy by the time the food came. Steak 90% fat.Never again.

We are regulars at Hoggs for a couple of reasons. The quality of service and the meals make them one of our favourite eat out options. On the odd occassion that things have not been up to standard we alert the staff to it and they make every effort to attend to it. Highly recommended.

Steaks are better than other Hogs breaths in the southern states, Staff were a bit scatter brained by a 25 seat table near us... But overall not a bad night

The food was amazing. 18 hrs slow cook steak is just a spot on. Service was a top notch, fast and friendly crew. They never get tired smiling. Clearly you can see them enjoying what they are doing.

always great, consistent quality, great waitresses around.Edit (june 2018in the past 2 months the steaks were overcooked and the doneness is not even. Need to get their QC/QA checked!

Only recently opened here. If you wanted their specials they required you to book it early. First part of the service was slow and the meals were ok but nothing special. Seems to be popular with the younger crowd, mainly students.

Having a Hogs breath in the heart of Casuarina is a brilliant idea, it caters for the late night shoppers and the movie goers. The staff are well trained and speedy, the food coming out is well controlled and tastes great.Pricing is a little high, which makes it great for a once of treat, but will never be a regular spot for the average Joe to Dine when there are so many other cheaper options.The layout of the restaurant isnt too bad, but when catering for a large group of people you do feel like youre in the way of everyone. Which when you add high chairs and prams into the mix youre really in the way.Apart from that, its a fun and bubbly place to be.

Where seated right away, amazing friendly staff that offered their assistance but not in a in your face all the time way. Restaurant looks wonderful. Cant wait to go again.

Long wait at the door (we were the only ones in lineended up seating ourselves. 40 minute wait for burgers, restaurant was less than a quarter full. Burgers were OK, curly fries were great.

I have been 3 times. (Solo and familyEvery time the service was poor, super slow and the food terrible. The steak tastes like it has been boiled and all flavour removed. Gravy/sauce only taste. One time was at about 3pm and was the ONLY customer. They still forgot to bring my drink. Never again....

I was with my family on the 24/5/2017. Been there before as well but this experience was worse. The guy took our order represented himself very well and took the order and after 10 minutes another family turned up and he took the order. Within 5 minutes they had been served. When I questioned and told him that we were here for 20 minutes , you guys didnt have courtesy to give us water. He sort of shook his head . He came back with the Garlic bread and said its in house. Sort of covering up his mistake and embarrassment. We reluctantly stayed back finished our mains which wasnt that good at all. After the main we waited 15 minutes to get attention from someone to order Desserts but no one . The end we just came out and paid and told the girl on check out. I told her to look into and improve your service. I hope they take a note.Libin.
