A vast collection of hockey memorabilia, including famous gear, interactive games & the Stanley Cup.
Great experience. Lots of interactive content and vast history of hockey that would take months to explore. Hard to do in a few hours.
The ultimate place for hockey enthusiants, a museum, and a testament to the sport of hockey. Rich with so much history. Excellently placed exhibits and pieces in sectioned cases. Detail various accomplishments from different leagues, teams, awards, players, coaches and other notable people. One of my favorite sections, is the public collectibles, which include hockey cards, and even a video game history section. Complete with many retro games consoles, and copies of every NHL game displayed. Some other fun stuff to do includes the interactive shooter and goalie game, plus 2 table top hockey games, and 3 PlayStation 4s with tvs running NHL 20 that you can play. Now the pièce de ré·sis·tance, is the Stanley Cup room. With Lord Stanley being thhome to centrepiece. Flanked by the other NHL trophies. And The Vault which includes removed bands from the Stanley Cup, various Stanley cup rings and other one of a kind awards made from precious metals and stones. With all this value, you know why its locked up in a climate controlled bank vault at night. The room is also adorned with one some truly spectacular architecture and stained glass, with the ceiling being really notable.
Excellent place to visit and understand more about the history and teams of Ice Hockey. They have a full player dugout for the Montreal Canadiens. I went there on an invitation from my office and got to see The Great One - Wayne Gretzky. He is the highest all-time scorer in The NHL and a Hall of Fame legend. His jersey #99 was the first to be retired. He spoke about his professional journey and interactions with famous individuals like Pope John Paul II, Queen Elizabeth and also about his visit to The White House. It was a great visit and the TMC auditorium where the talk was hosted is a decent 50-60 seater hall. Plus the location is incredible and at walking distance from the Union Station. There are a huge number of eating options near this place. Must visit for all ice hockey fans
The place of dreams. Cool artifacts, good history, amazing displays of incr trophies. You can make it a quick visit or spend hours (like me). Ive been several times and dont get tired of it.
The Hockey Hall of Fame is a great place for hardcore fans and newcomers alike. Its rich in history, has a great display, and great interactive exhibits too. Next time youre downtown, make a stop at the hall. Its especially special during the hockey season so dont miss out!
First time here and I loved it. So much memorabilia. Prepare to be there for at least a couple hours. Lots to see. Interactive games are neat ! The trophy room was my favourite and of course the Stanley Cup 🍶 I would like to go back !
We knew we had to make a stop here since Canada and hockey are synonymous! Love the irony that the building for this used to be a temple. Or was that intentional to imply that Hockey is a a highly regarded sport in the country ? 😂 Either way, we loved it!Learned a lot about hockey ! And the interactive exhibits added to the fun!We highly recommend this place !
Really cool place! I really enjoyed it. First time in Toronto. Great experience if you are a sports fan!Youll need at least an hour to get through the exhibits.
Great if you’re a hockey fan. A little difficult to go thru, kinda felt disorganized. The Stanley Cup was definitely worth it!
Fun place for hockey lovers!Theres a lot of information, and I like that the information is provided in different formats (text, videos, quiz). Makes it more interesting. There are also a few interactive games (you can try to be a goalie, or try to score). My boyfriend was kind of afraid that because its in Toronto, there might be a bit more things about the Maple Leaf than other teams but no, its completely unbiased. No Leaf favoritism.Had a good time! 🏒
Hockey Hall Of Fame was a lot of fun. Especially loved the interactive area.
People asked me whats the best part of going to Toronto. Its not Niagara Falls, its the HOCKEY HALL OF FAME! Chills man! EHmazing!🥰😉
Very much enjoyed visiting as a general sports fan. The Stanley Cup vault was particularly fascinating. I spent 1hr 15, but couldve spent longer.
Great way to learn some hockey history. There are also some fun interactive exhibits.
Loved it, of youre a diehard hocksy fan you could quite easily spend all day here theres so much to see amd do
Plan on spending the entire day of not more. So much to see there. Would love to go back. Picture is just to show the highest sales of a defunct team. No other sports team sells more apparel.
Super cool and very interesting museum, even if you arent into hockey
Well worth the time and reasonable cost. Impressive collections as well as a few fun, interactive experiences. I was even impressed and entertained for over 3 hrs as not much of a hockey fan, but the joy of watching my hubby be like a kid on Christmas morning, was the best part. Dont miss out on going upstairs to take a pic with the Stanley Cup, at only $10 its a fun and affordable souvenir and moment for any hockey fan.
Great fan experience at the HOF. So many incredible items on display it is truly impressive and fun to see for the whole family. The interactive games can get pretty busy but no fault of the exhibit. I will say that Wayne Gretzky giving his dad a gold bust of his feet was pretty weird, even Walter was likely thinking son, I dont want this at my home, please donate it to the HOF or something but not here.
Lots of fun for the Hockey fan a must see if in the city, nice to see the exhibits change up, while also staying the same.
Well worth the trip and the ticket price (you can get a 20% discount just by showing your Presto Card!). It has lots of exhibits and is the perfect size so that you feel like you saw a lot without it being overwhelming.
Amazing showcase of true hockey history! As a hockey fan, youll appreciate the depth and how much effort went into the development of the showcase! Id return and recommend!
This place is a must see, even if you’re not a big hockey fan. Lots of historic memorabilia, informative movies, interactive displays and of course the Stanley Cup. It was especially fun to learn more about Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky in their special exhibit.
Amazing collection of hockey memorabilia. NHL & international. I really liked the individual NHL team displays that included jerseys from their affiliate (farmteams.Curious about the misspelling on the Norris trophy…
Oh it was an amazing experience. Walking around seeing all the great scenes and items hanging on display. The shot the puck and shootout were fun for the family. The main item was walking up the stairs into the great Hall. The presentation of the trophies and all the hall of fame walls was amazing. The staff members that took my family picture with the cup was great to talk to, as he even knew the Windsor area where we were from. He was talking like he still lives there and how he went to University and watched lots of hockey. It was a great way to experience everything.
Fantastic museum on the history of the best sport in Canada. However, after the ticket you need to pay an additional fee if you want to get up close to the Stanley Cup, so be wary.
If you like hockey and you know a little about its history so its the place to go. My two boys (hockey players loved it.
I went when I was a kid and went again recently. It’s a great trip for a family or parent and child. Highly, highly recommend! The ticket price is steep but worth it.
LOTS of items on display, interactive activities (movies, Sportscentre desk, shoot on the goalie or BE the goalie), and of course the trophies. Respectfully displayed. We spent 4 hours working our way through because we were reading a lot of the placards and watched the video about Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky. We didnt want to miss anything. If youre a casual fan wanting to learn the history of the game, or are a big fan wanting to see artifacts of the game you love, its a must see.
Really neat place. Great to see all the trophies. The Stanley Cup is on display and you can actually walk up to it and look. Its not behind glass. Super Cool.
This a must see attraction for any hockey fan. I particularly loved the Canadiens dressing room exhibit. The kids loved shooting on Carey Price.
I visited after 4 years, still interesting. I recommend going there in the morning. And I have improved my penalty score of 2/8 to 6/8 😎😛
What a cool experience for any hockey fan! Amazing displays, plenty of history and memorabilia. Enjoyed the 9 & 99 featured display, two of the best to ever play the game. You can get your photo taken with the Stanley Cup for a small fee.Interactive games can get quite busy. Theres plenty to see for all ages, Id budget about 2 hours here as there is a lot to see!
First time here, cool place, a lot bigger then it looks, great memories of hockey.
This is Mecca for any hockey player, almost a religious experience.Spent a few hours there. Not a kid anymore, but lots to enjoy for any age.At 60, I still enjoyed the interactive games; shooting on a virtual goalie, and taking the net to stop a virtual hockey player from scoring.Really enjoyed seeing the Stanley Cup. Only chance a Leaf fan like myself will get close to it, so I spend a little extra time in the trophy room on the 2nd floor.Enjoyed the Gretzky and Howe exhibit. It should remain permanent as they are and were the greatest ever.On exiting you go through the gift shop. Purchased the new 72 Series book by Morrison. Lots of stuff to buy, but the real memorabilia is downstairs.
What an amazing Hall of Fame!! Great items and elements to see. Many interactive areas for kids and adults to engage in hockey. Amazing artifacts collected from the biggest names in the sport. The Howe/Gretzky 9 & 99 exhibit is awesome! The 3-D movie is really well made, well acted, and well-produced, a must see! Worth every Canadian penny.
The Mecca of hockey! A must see for any hockey or history fan. Centrally located in downtown Toronto. Very easy to find. Lots of interesting hockey history and exhibits. Several interactive displays as well. Don’t miss it!
If Cooperstown is #1 then the Hockey Hall of Fame is #1A.... But this joint does NOT take a back seat to any HOF that Ive been too and one been to over 30 HOFs..... Superb place.... And a pic with Lord Stanley are you kidding me.....
As with all museums or exhibitions, they tend to get rather specialised, and the Hockey Hall of Fame isnt any different. Its a brilliant place for any fan of the game, a bucket list must if you will, but there is little to no contextualising the content. Its great to read about all the greats of the game, and of course to see their equipment etc, but I would have loved to get more background on for instance Vladimir Tretiak, the first HoF inductee not born or trained in North America, and his struggles with Soviet leadership to play in the NHL before retiring, or how legendary Maple Leaf defenceman Börje Salming helped pave the way for other European players in the 70s, and so on.The permanent exhibition on No 9, and No 99, Howe and Gretzky respectively, was excellent, though!
What an amazing display. Our game is represented in the most amazing way, as is the international game.Featured 9 & 99 display was super cool... 2 of the very best ever.If you like hockey... even a little bit... thisbis worth a stop. Youll need a couple hours though, its a BIG display.
Really cool experience if youre a hockey fan.Lots of history, Some interactive games, and a few films you can see.The highlight is seeing the Stanley cup. Both the original and the current iteration.
A mix of Reverence and Fun! The NHL has struck the right balance here and created the perfect crypt to protect the legacy of hockey!I had been wanting to come here for the longest time so I had high expectations. I am pleased to say that it exceeded my expectations! It is a great place for both young and old alike to come together. All of the important events are captured with great detail and fanfare. There is even the appropriate amount of tributes to Gretzky and Mr. Hockey too.The virtual goalie and shooter game is fun for everyone. Even non hockey fans have fun trying to score on an NHL hockey goalie. The Hall of Legends is amazing! It is just like being in a church with the stained glass ceiling.I also loved the recreated Montreal Canadians locker room. It really brings home how central the Habs have been to most of hockeys history. The jerseys from around the world was a nice touch to show that hockey is loved around the world. Now that there are a number of women in the Hall of Fame I think that it may be time to dedicate an area of the museum to the women of the game. There were many girls and women visitors as well as the boys and men who would love to learn about the women pioneers in more detail.I could really feel the torch being passed from me to my sons while we were here.Yes the legacy if hockey is alive and well here.
Wasnt where I planned on exploring but had time to kill . Well worth the visit even without being a big hockey fan!
a very special place for me! Ive been a big ice hockey fan my whole life, this place is magical for me! I was there for the first time in January 2002, then in 2010, 2013 and 2020. Im always drawn back there! In terms of content, there is everything the ice hockey heart desires!
First visit and impressed with all the memorable!A little confusing as to where to start as theres numerous overlaps.Great interactive displays that allow you to be both a player and goalie.
Any hockey fan should visit this place once. The quantity of memorabilia is astonishing. Seeing the history of hockey right in front of you is beautiful. I didnt take many pictures because I was so busy looking at the expo and reading history. You can easily spend 4-5 hours in there.
If youre a hockey lover, this place will be like heaven. Its surprisingly bigger than I thought it would be inside. Not only is it a museum of hockey memorabilia, but theres lots of interactive things inside as well. Plus, you can get up close and personal with the Stanley Cup!
Fun museum with an incredible amount of history. Dont miss the interactive games that let you shoot pucks, be a goaltender, and become a commentator. Definitely a fun place to bring kids or family that are visiting town. Entry was $25/pp.
We are big hockey fans and spent three hours in here! It was a lot bigger than we expected. It was so interesting and the staff were really friendly and helpful - absolutely full of information and memorabilia about all things hockey. My only disappointment was that I didn’t see one mention of Ron Hextall haha
An absolute beautiful experience. So much memorabilia.Staff were wonderful, a word to the wise the entrance is downstairs, in the basement and leads to the spirit of hockey store. The games were fun for children and parents alike!Champion rings to the Stanley Cup.#localguides
