Hobie Beach in San Juan

I love this beach! My grandmother owns a condo right on this beach, so I come here a lot. The water is warm and my dog loves to walk on the beach with me. There are almost no currents and the beach is always reasonably crowded so its safe to go into the water. There is a section with ropes so if you get caught in a current you can hold on the those. Highly recommended beach!

Great beach with great waves that my kids loved. We were staying at a place right behind the beach, but Id drive to go to this beach. The beach had a good number of people but we were still able to play a 8 on 8 beach football game since the beach area is large. We are a mix of native puerto ricans, Puerto Ricans who live in Boston now, half puerto rican kids, etc and we got into a big football game with native Puerto Ricans, visitors from Pennsylvania, and visitors from Chicago. The water was fantastic, the beach was clean, and the beach was very close to really good food. We paid $10 for an umbrella which was pretty big. Will be back when I buy my condo on Avenue Isla Verde.

Nice beach with fine sand. Beautiful water. Not too heavy of a surf. Gets crowded on the weekends but not on weekdays from what I saw

Nice beach close to all the local hotels. Seems like a lot of people leave behind garbage sadly!

Nice beach to relax and have a beer under the sunshade of a palm tree. Because of the orientation of the beach the sea is usually wavy and the beach is windy

They have jet skis, they always shave someone out there patrolling just in case someone needs help.

I just spent 10 minutes picking up cigarettes butts, beer caps, disposable masks, plastic straws and even pieces of GLASS... Watch out.

Very nice beach. Clean and not too crowded. Nice sand. My only complaint is the lack of nearby food and beverage options. Only one nearby bar and it had a 45 minute wait for drinks.

Couldnt recommend highly enough! Beaches here are gorgeous.

It was absolutely wonderful. Its for exercise only, but it was fun. I walked it about r times and got in the water for water aerobics . Luckily I have my waterproof pouch to hold my valuables. The water was BLUE the sand seemed chunkier, but still soft.

Great spot for a beach day, tho the waves are a bit to strong for young kids.

Beautiful beach and didnt get too crowded either. Just across from the Tryp by Wyndham hotel as well. So it was easy to get to for us. Theres a cool swing on the beach that makes for good photos as well.

Nice local beach, be careful walking in the sand further away from the water its lots of debris.

The beach is beautiful but the service is poor and a bit rude. Plus they have no clear bar to order drinks from.

Great beach! Water was nice and warm at the end of October. The beach was clean and not too busy. Felt totally safe leaving my belongings by my towel.Oh, and for anyone wondering, google sent me those socks for being a local guide and I wanted to wear them while doing a review. Socks are ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well maintain beach. But at time the seaweeds do come ashore which allows small biting bugs nearby. This beach is excellent spot to exercise or take long walks. Several food establishments and water activities nearby

This is one of my favorite beaches in the whole of Isla Verde in Carolina. Though it gets pretty crowded in high season. They have public beach chairs and umbrellas but you have to pay around $10 dollars for the umbrella and I believe another fee to also use the public beach chairs. There are no gazebos nor many trees to help shield you from the sun. I reccomend taking your own beach equipment, ESPECIALLY a beach umbrella or any other means to protect you from the intense sunlight. Also be prepared to be approached by vendors trying to sell from drinks to jewlery. Overall this is a very good beach. Nice waves to play as well as beach volleyball on the sand.

Its very clean and beautiful. Who wouldnt like to be at a beach so beautiful. The staff in the beach are extremely helpful. They will carry you beach belongings for you and set you up on the beach. It can say enough about the place. I had a wonderful time

Excellent Beach area for tanning play or just relax and enjoy the day. There are restaurants near so you can order to go and enjoy it on the beach. I think Uber eats delivers.

This beach is very well maintained. Excellent to spend the day and have a good time of sun. There’s no trash cans so you should carry bags to get rid of the garbage. Yes, I found garbage bags tied to the palms but the garbage was overflowing and that takes away the beauty of the area.

This is the Embassy Suites and area hotels beach. Their $35/night resort fee is mitigated when u realize that u can walk to this beach every day...mañana and tarde...if not at a hotel, chair lounges rent for $4/day and umbrellas for $10. Been there on a weekend and on a weekday and definitely less crowded on weekdays. Yes, its breezy but nice. El Alambique restaurant is very and across d beach.

Really nice and clean beach. The sand was soft with very few shells or rocks. Id like to have more bars or shops along with a boardwalk but overall a nice place to stop for some fun in the sun.

Love this area! Beachwalks are LONG and leisurely. Clean beaches. Family oriented. Shell hunting is a must. Weekends are popular but never too crowded.

Most visited beach in the area. Plenty of places to eat around. Theres beach umbrellas and chairs available to rent. Always clean and safe for kids. 👍

You got sun, sand, nice view of the ocean and your close to fast foods. The parking is not espectacular, you in for a pursuit or get early in the morning.

Beach is shared by several hotels, but the land is well divided, the attendants take good care of the guests. The sand and shoreline are clean. The water is clean and you can go out a reasonable distance and the water isnt too deep. A couple of grill and bars along the beachfront street as well as kiosks on the beach.

Very nice and clean public beach located in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico to spend time with family & friends! 👍😀 Best way to go to the beach would be leaving your transport vehicle at a parking lot. You can find one right by the beach entrance; close to the Wallgreens store & fire rescue department. The lot charges a 1 time fee of 5 USD$ The earlier you go, the better your chances of finding a parking space quickly or you will have to wait in line untill car owners return from the beach to leave. keep in mind if you want a spot with some shade you will have to pay for it. Important Information: Do not park your vehicle at the Wallgreens beside the parking lot because if the security guard catches you then be prepared to pay a fine ticket.

Very nice area. We spent our 20 year anniversary here. Really enjoyed the food and drinks at the local restaurants. Will definitely return.

Really nice beach just outside of San Juan. I havent heard anyone else call it Hobie beach, but thats whats on the map.
