It’s my fav weekend breakfast spot. I love their coffee and scrambled egg dishes.They serve good traditional American breakfast.Dishes I have tried:Santorini grilled tofu veggie - perfect blend of Taste and protein.Chicken Alfredo pasta - umm, it’s okayish.Bennie- pretty good and quite fulfilling!

Cute diner with good food and coffee! They have a big menu to choose from. The coffee cakes from here are my favorite! Theyre sweet enough but not too sweet. The staff is really nice and friendly and takes good care of you . It is in a quiet residential neighborhood so good for calm mornings

Food and service were phenomenal! All members of staff were fast and courteous. Food was prepared excellently and the option to "burrito it" with scrambles and omelets is a nice touch! All around recommend the experience of Hobees weather you are local or visiting!

Definitely getting placed on my out of town eatery list. I love going to different states & cities & finding local gems.The service was great. The hostess was friendly & welcoming. Our waiter was the same. They had very good energy!We had to try the blueberry coffee cake, it was a very good cake! The cake was light & fluffy. For me, it was more of a blueberry cake with coffee crumble on the top, maybe a coffee drizzle would’ve topped it off for my taste palette. But overall it lives up to all the reviewsThe Cal Browns was very flavorful, I enjoyed it very much. They only thing I didn’t like was how the potatoes were cooked, they were diced & some pieces were a bit over cooked. Just a preference thing.The Lemon Blueberry Ricotta pancakes were delicious! Nice fluffy pancake with lemon & blueberries in the batter, topped with blueberries & a cream cheese like ricotta drizzle. So good!

My husband and I tried this for our first time visiting California. He loved his omelet. I didnt enjoy my food though. My eggs had no flavor no salt cheese or anything. My pancake was soooo dry that it was competing in my mouth for the syrup. My ham had no flavor. My whole meal tasted like hospital food. As a matter of fact I take that back hospital food has more flavor than this. Would not recommend.

They DO NOT HONOR OR RESPECT VEGANS! I specifically requested no dairy and that I am vegan and will get sick. They put sour cream and the women argued with me saying "You didnt put sour cream specifically!" 😂 Seriously. Nasty women. She argued with me AND my boyfriend. I asked if I could come later for a credit and she said no due me having a door dash order. Happy I didnt because it was NOT good. Dry tofu scramble,, seasoned ok though. I can barely comment on the hashbrowns because of all the sour cream.Fingers crossed "non-dairy" dairy wasnt in the tofu. Update if I end up in the ER 🏨 sick. 🤞🏾 I dont.

This was my first time dining at Hobees and the experience I had there will definitely have me return!Ill begin with the costumer service - which in my opinion is the most important aspect of any business. Everyone I encountered there was professional, friendly, attentive and accommodating.The restaurant was clean and the decorum modern, but still had a touch of nostalgia, which was shown in the art work.The food was delicious with large portions and well seasoned menu selections, and there were healthier items to choose from, which I really appreciated!4 stars due to my food not being as hot as I like it and the hashbrowns could be cooked just a bit more. But this wouldnt keep me from dining here again!! 👍

Amazing place, great food and excellent service. This place has been our go to place for brunch, both I and my fiancé absolutely love their food. Their staff is extremely polite and welcoming. We ordered double cappuccino, south of border omelette and el Camino ommie, these two omelette options are amazing for vegetarians. The el Camino ommie had veggies (a bit overwhelminginside with pesto on top, we got their signature blueberry coffee cupcake as a side to one dish and fried potatoes to the other. El Camino ommie was amazing in taste, personally I felt that the portion of veggies was a bit overwhelming so if you prefer less veggies, I recommend to mention it to them but yes loved the taste, no complaints. Also, I kind of misunderstood that with one dish, you only get one side as an option and I got potatoes but I needed bread too, so when I asked the server about bread, first he politely mentioned that they give only one side to the dish but he was extremely kind to offer me sourdough (my choicebread too. So 5+ stars to their wonderful staff’s service, definitely coming back! FYI, you can pick any one side from the following: Bread, blueberry coffee cupcake and potatoes.

From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted and taken care of. Amazing service all around. Food was great and coffee was excellent and never had an empty cup. Great job. Recommend to anyone passing through.

Definitely my go to place for brunch. Plenty of parking space, no waiting (used to go another chain brunch restaurant which has limited parking spots and long waiting time), and delicious coffee cake!

Very friendly restaurant with a wide spread menu. We went to this place for brunch. We tried the Chicken sandwich and veggie scramble. They should give 2 side options but had only 1 with the scramble!However, the quantity was good and it was fulfilling. The taste is good too.

Absolutely delightful on every level! We were excited about the gluten free menu, but oh my goodness the options!! We ordered a ridiculous amount of food because we just couldnt decide, lol! We already have the list of items for the next visit! 😁😋 Great service and fantastic food! (Only disappointment was the chips were put in the boxes with the hot food so they got soft)

Tried out brunch on a weekday & totally loved it.FOOD- We had El Camino Ommie & Bravo Breakfast Burrito. Also ordered their famous Milkshake (strawberry + banana). Everything was quite tasty, especially the Ommie thats served with fresh pesto! So yumm!SERVICE - Staff is nice & service was quick. I liked the fact that they got the extra remainder of the milkshake along with our full glass, so it was like having 2 glasses of shake.AMBIENCE- Cool. Theyre remodeling their outdoor dining space so next time I wanna try that out.

Everyone was very friendly at the restaurant and seated us quickly as soon as we came in around noon. Theres a lot of customers but they still managed to socially distance every table. Coffee and water constantly refilled, which I was happy about and the waiters and waitresses were very kind.The food did take a while to make, but it was definitely worth the wait. Food was delicious and my favorite was the banana coffeecake! Will definitely come back again!

This is one of those places where locals flock to for breakfast. We got there just before the morning rush. Food was delicious and price within reason. Staff is very good with service.

I really enjoy their blueberry coffee cake, I went for brunch two days in a row just to have the cake. I tried their salmon Ommie and the salmon benedict and both were great. Only negative is that it can get loud.

This location did a really good job of managing our larger party (12). Services was great, as well as the food. The only complaint about this visit was the pricing which was a little high in our opinion for what you get. Cocktails were decent, but for the price, the pour seemed a bit light. Coffee cake was on pint as always however.

Very healthy menu. No steaks, pork chops, chicken fried steak, settled for bacon cheeseburger. Very attentive staff. Overall good experience but limited unhealthy food choices.

Hobees has remained open during the pandemic. Today I just got carryout, but they do have limited interior seating now. Or walk up to the front counter to order carryout. Only had to wait 10 minutes for my food. Lots of places to sit outside while you wait. You can also order online. I got our favorites: south of the border omelets with sides of potatoes and their yummy Blueberry coffee cake. One of our favorite breakfast places for decades!

Very friendly staff and amazing food. Lots of options and to be able to customize the menu items. The signature items are something you absolutely have to try. The blueberry coffee cake was the best, had to buy an entire pan after having it as a side for breakfast.

I always loved their sandwich and omelette but the fresh fruits are concerning.We ordered some fresh fruits and they had the taste of hand creme perfume on them, especially the cantaloupe. The smell and taste was not on the container, but on the fruits themselves! Had to throw away all of them. Im not sure if the restaurant handled the fruits themselves or bought them, but whoever cut the fruits might have too much hand creme on them. This is alarming to me that they didnt wash their hands thoroughly. I hope the owners can see this post.I understand that running a restaurant these days is hard and will still support this restaurant but just want to bring the awareness of food safety. I feel bad about not giving a five-star review as I really enjoy everything else I ordered. Ill change to a higher score when my concern is addressed.

I was so anxious to get to the savory looking Salmon Benedict, that I scarfed it down before taking pictures. It was delicious—promise! It wasn’t the best Salmon in the world, but it was still quality. Service and outdoor ambiance was delightful and the Coffee Cake blueberry 🫐 followed the meal up splendidly—despite the food/sugar coma that ensued.Prices are a little high—but as far as I’ve seen, nothing unusual for the area. About $16 for the salmon Benedict with well seasoned home style potatoes(cubed and steamed—not crispy).Friend was unimpressed with the sweet potato hash as it seemed sparse in size or unique flavor.

This was a great brunch experience. The service was fantastic, and the outdoor dining area was comfortable. There are plenty of veggie options, and you can replace meat with Beyond Meat in most dishes.

Went there for brunch and we ordered the french toast, lemon ricotta pancakes and all the hash brown flavors. The freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious along with the food. Don’t forget to get their world famous coffee cake! Their staff were wearing masks and gloves. Definitely going back there for brunch to try the other stuff on their menu.

I ordered a coffee latte - the coffee was great, but I wish they had more milk alternatives (only 2% and soy).I had the Sonoma brown (hash- it was good and I liked that it fit into my diet. Unfortunately I found a piece of tendon in my meal.My mom had the hobee ice tea - it tasted like red hots, which she didnt like but I get how thats someones preference.She got an omelet and found it bland.Im torn on my rating because I would go back, but she wouldnt. I think shed give it 3 stars, but Im going to go with my experience and give it 4.

A solid choice for breakfast. I love the omelettes! My only minor complaint is the staff tends to get a bit overwhelmed during peak hours and it becomes difficult to get a drink refill, additional item, etc. Still, they do get the orders taken and food out quickly. Prices are reasonable and quality is consistent.

The most interesting, unique, and satisfying breakfast-food chain I know of. Yes, you can eat lunch here (Ive never eaten dinner at a Hobees), but the best part of the menu are the breakfast items.Their signature dishes are their "scrambles"--mixing ordinary and exotic combinations of ingredients into scrambled eggs. Pro Tip: any of the many omelets also in the menu can be ordered as a "scramble."Their ENORMOUS coffee cake is as famous as their orange-cinnamon tea (best taken hot, but they also offer it iced). The coffee cake is blueberry with brown sugar topping (served warm with a generous scoop of butter on top that melts and slides off with surprising speed!).

Excellent breakfast place!!! Loved the breakfast <3 And they have breakfast wholeday every day!Hobees is a local tradition for breakfast. They also serve breakfast for dinner. Im picky about my over easy eggs and Ive always had my eggs cooked to my liking on the first try. You also get a choice of warm coffee cake or toast with your breakfast. We always choose the coffee cake. Sometimes a co-worker orders a full pan of coffee cake and brings it to work. Its gone in 30 seconds. Since this is a California diner, they have chicken apple sausage and other local options on the menu. The Mountain View Hobbees has nostalgic posters of the former glory days when the area was know for superb fruit before the tech industry took hold.

Absolutely love this place. We never go anywhere else when we want a great breakfast with fantastic and friendly service. Menu is diverse and has many GF options ( you can choose gluten free pancakes, toast,french toast, gluten free sandwiches, etc.,). The food is all great, especially the omelets which are large and delicious. Service is always very friendly, coffee is refilled promptly, and the GF options are great for those of us who rarely get to eat things like toast or pancakes. It fills up fast on weekends,but we have never had to wait more than a few minutes.

Great food and lots of veggie options. The portions for the drinks are so high! The coffee cake is a must have here. I had a mocha latte (icedand it was not that strong. Maybe I should have asked for a double shot. The garlic hash browns are amazing! Veggie burger was so filling and tasty! The atmosphere is pleasant and brunchy and perfect for a Sunday late morning. The omelets are great as well. Smoothies here are so yum and extremely filling that they can be a meal on their own. Im giving a 4 star because the food does not taste mind blowingly awesome.

Hobees is amazing - and its our favorite weekend brunch spot. We frequent this location 1-2 times a month and always receive wonderful service - they treat us like family! The coffee cake is to die for, the rest of the food is great, there are limitless coffee refills - its just the best! If you cant decide where to go for breakfast / brunch, this is it. Eat here - you wont regret it.

I love this place. Great food, lovely and attentive staff, and awesome coffee cakes! I always get the Aztec Burger, and its so good! My wife always gets the Black Bean Chilli, and we are both happy campers!

Had breakfast here. Their menu is deffinetly different, but in a good way. I went for an omelette that had your usual goodies in it and their blueberry coffee cake. The coffee cake was delicious and you get a huge piece. I tried their orange cinnamon tea, which was very strong but good. I ended up adding a little creamer to it, suggested by our waitress, to knock down the spice a bit. Worked great. The staff was nice and even though they were busy they were attentive to what we needed. The atmosphere was very relaxed homey feeling and the food was good. I would say all in all the experience we had was a good one. I will deffinetly go back, especially for the coffee cake.

I enjoyed a breakfast of the Stanford omlette and hash browns, red white and blue smoothie and a cup of fruit.I tried to order a small plate of fruit, but the server suggested I ordered as cup as this is for one whereas the plate is for 3.He obviously doesnt eat a lot of fruit, as I thought the cup was too small for breakfast fruit. I wish hed taken my small plate order. I could always have taken any extra away.The food tasted nice and the smoothie was very large. There was the same again (as whats in the glassin the shaker behind.I found the wooden chairs very uncomfortable and asked to be moved to the soft seating around the edge.

Perfect brunch place with lot of healthy to somewhat unhealthy options if you are in cheat meal day! Seasonal specials are great and offers free coffee refills..Last but not least, the juice is NOT freshly made!! I had mixed experiences about the staff.. some servers are just too much in rush to listen and some are really nice!

Fantastic Food and Stellar ServiceIf you are looking for a less crowded brunch place with great, affordable food Hobees is just the right place for you and your family or friends. Everything that my group tried, french toast, breakfast quesadilla, Los Altos Quesadilla and loaded hash browns, was amazing! If you get the choice between toast and the blueberry coffee cake go for the coffee cake! For being several inches tall, the coffee cake is light and fluffy and comes out piping hot! One serving is plenty for several people. The service at Hobees is awesome! Everyone we spoke to was helpful and friendly. All over 10/10!

We went here for brunch on a Saturday. The place is crowded but we were lucky to get seated immediately. Only drawback was that we had to wait for an hour to get our food and its difficult to get the attention of the waiters since its packed full. Otherwise the food was absolutely delicious. The coffee cake served was the showstopper. It was too soft and fluffy that it could melt in our mouths. Id definitely goto this place again!

Awesome service, the best spiced tea for a Sunday brunch. The staff are wonderfully friendly and this place has been our Sunday brunch spot for well over 10 years now... no complaints even on the busiest mothers day weekend, we got courteous service and werent rushed to clear the tables for the waiting masses... The coffee cake changes with the seasons and is a sinful treat. Im also a big fan of the lunch menus during the work week.

The summer special was quite good. The famous coffee cake was pretty much a letdown. It was too sweet and didnt have much taste to it.
