Historic Roxy Theatre - Cinema in Bremerton, United States
Roxy theatre is a historical place. Its a really lovely there with wonderful employees and very clean environment along with good choices of movies that play. Definitely worth the visit when you have time.
Fun, vintage experience for watching movies. Watched Elvis and the sound was great. Good popcorn too!
This is a lovely little place! Very elegant, lots of options for food and the seating was good. The theater itself was gorgeous! I will definitely come back here.
This is a wonderful place to perform. The staff is so friendly and the stage is absolutely wonderful.
Great old place. Very nostalgic but still up to date. Enjoyed some comedy there and it was a great night.
We recently watched comedy night at this wonderful historic theater. The owners did a great job remodeling this place to provide a modern experience. They serve alcohol along with popcorn and candy. Well definitely be going back for shows and movies.
More nights like this - and the Roxy - please. What a lovely well-attended event. Bravo!
Last night was my first time going there, I went there for The dope show last night. I was extremely bummed out that they only had one bathroom available for all the people that were there. The popcorn tasted really stale and actually way too much better to try to cover up the staleness. And the sodas were pretty flat. We did have a good time because it was a comedy show and we were pretty stoned and it was really funny just didnt sit right with the popcorn and the one bathroom for all the people that were there.
Such an amazing historical venue to share with the Kitsap community!
Great venue with friendly staff. Always a good place to watch a movie or see a comedy show!
Loved going to this old theater for a documentary and look forward to visiting again. We live in Tacoma so its a bit of a trek, but so worthwhile for the old time glamorous vibe and the cool auditorium.
I absolutely love this place. Its always a treat when theyve got older movies playing!
Fantastic local venue for movies or live entertainment!
Great place to see a film. Great to have adult beverages available. Nice seats and old school theater feel.
Its so much fun going to the Roxy! On Friday I went and saw "In the Heights"! I absolutely loved the movie!
Wonderful time. My friends father rented out for us to watch a movie. So wonderful!
This theatre is so much fun, small and comfy....and you can enjoy a glass of wine. The movie selection is also excellent. Cant wait for them to reopen.
Forget the multiplex and head to the Roxy! A real jewel!
Beautiful art deco theatre, gem of Bremerton! Plays independent movies, cult classics, and more.
A $6 movie on tuesday in a historical theater watching an indie film, is a great way to spend an evening. The staff is helpful and kind definitely recommend
What a great little theater. My first time there for a special day. Let us continue to support our local venues.
Vintage historical theatre. Beer, and wine. Favorite movie theater candy. Hotdogs, pretzels, and nachos....Come see your favorite independent films here.
Im so glad they restored this theater and wish them much success. Its a great venue to see a movie.
Super nice staff! Definitely historic and pretty theater!
Love when they do Gibli Fest or their Midnight Mass horror movie nights. They have a bunch of little oddball fun events. The seats are pretty cramped but thats just how most old theaters are. There are a few seats with more leg room if you know where to look.
My first time and I loved it!. Wonderful welcoming lobby. Large friendly elegant feeling theatre room. Love having a place close by that shows the movies the chains dont bother with. I saw the Last Black Man in San Francisco. Excellant movie. Amazingly done!
We went to see the film Pavarotti and were total delighted with both the film and theater. Thank you for getting it going!
Tucked away paid parking. The facility has been nicely restored and the manager said more I.improvements are slated for the future to include aircondioning. Small lobby entry area but once past that point couch seated in nooks. Good sized stage and staggered seating was quite good. I will return for future events.support our local show houses!
Went and seen Sam Lachow best night ..very nice place just wish more rap/hiphop artists would perform here..
The Roxy was an icon of my youth. The memories I have of actually standing in a long line outside, that actually wrapped around the street corner, just to see the opening showing of "Star Wars"... or "Jaws"...It looked and felt exactly as I remembered it... the purplish interior color scheme remains the same as well as the uncomfortable but overly springy seats, as well as the non-"wide screen" screen so unlike the ones we are used to seeing in more modern theaters... So, yes I did become a bit nostalgic. That happens when you step back in time to the simpler days of youth, back when it was all fun and games. All those memories all come rushing back... Its the same old Roxy and I can live with that.
Historic, well kept, pleasant surrounding. We like the unusual selection of sophisticated and non-mainstream films. Great place. We hope it grows.
Great experience, very clean and affordable. Great atmosphere, especially for the, Grease Sing Along! Cant wait for the future improvements and more fun times.
I really liked the theatre. Great sound quality. The screen is not oversized so you can sit quite close. The chairs do need updating as they are not high-backed and have no cup holders. The concession stand sells beer and wine along with your standard popcorn and candy, plus some a nicer selection of chocolates. All in all, a great local business to support!
A nice restoration of a classic venue. Always a good place for non-mainstream movies that are thought provoking, socially important and necessary for a thoughtful society. Food, drinks and adult beverages are available at very reasonable prices.
Great theater! Classic building from the 1940s with 21st century projection and surround sound. Go soon, you will be glad you did.
Local staple of the community, and I am thrilled to see it open again! Stage and screen. We caught a fun drag show. :)
Great sound system, only 4 people in auditorium so it was like a private show. Love the old (vintagefeel of the place.
Excellent sound system and projection system. I saw Bohemian Rhapsody there and it was great although the movie itself was meh. Good soundtrack though.
Historic theater, the sound was good, the seats were tiny and the rows were very close. The Rosé was pretty tasty and it was a good pour for $6.
We had a great experience at the Roxy! Was our first time in this one screen, historic theater. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and informational. The theater is "cozy". Not too big of a room, not too small. Seats were comfortable enough, but obviously older seating. Theater got a little cold after we sat there for half the movie, but overall we had a great time. We will definately support this theater in the future. Movie is awesome!!!
Saw Bohemian Rapsody, seats are antique, but the sound system is top line, good local beers.
Tuesday night is budget night at the Roxy. $5.00 admission. Discount popcorn and soda also. The building could use some maintenance, but they have installed a great sound system. Staff was friendly and very professional.
Its wonderful to see the Roxy being brought back to life. The movie screen is very good (crisp and bright), and the sound is amazing. There is beer and wine, along with standard popcorn and candy. And the staff are very pleasant and friendly. But the seats! Its unfortunate that there appears to have been no renovation money spent on the seats. There is no support in the cushioning and they are much too close, giving no leg room whatsoever. Fifteen minutes into the movie my butt, back, and legs were sore, and there was no respite. It is truly unfortunate, the seating is so bad that Ill keep seeing movies at SeeFilm or AMC. I wish I could say otherwise. If the seating is every renovated Ill be happy to return and upgrade the number of stars given.
Beautiful old school theater, sound updates make it excellent. Prices good, drink a beer or some wine and chat with management before, during or after your movie. Resurrection of this theater long over due, but it takes the community to keep it viable. CHECK IT OUT, SPEND YOUR ENTERTAINMENT DOLLARS HERE!
Loved this theatre! Old fashioned but well maintained with kind staff and a great selection of shows! Will be back.
The Roxy is as wonderful as it was in the 70s when we would cruise Pacific Ave. until our show would start then off to the Roxy or the Adrimil theaters. Personally I perfer the Roxy.
The interior is amazingly authentic. The seating is original and the room acoustics are phenomenal. Sadly authentic means no A/C, a small screen and those chairs are small and uncomfortable.
Very nice old Theatre but has a digital screen and decent sound system. Film festival type movies. They serve beer and wine. One Auditorium and a stage.
I have been waiting for the Roxy to open for years! This historic Cinema is a gem. Ive seen two shows there so far and the sound and picture quality is great! They show art films and other flicks you might not have the chance to see in more mainstream movie theaters. Go support the Roxy, everyone, and lets keep this great part of Bremerton heritage running!
