I would have rated this hotel 5 stars but when the integrity of the housekeeping staff is in question, that’s where I draw the line. Stayed here last week 10/31 - 11/2. Wife and I. Things were great. Great hotel, great dining options, great views, very inviting. On our last day, my wife accidentally left her $250 Gucci earrings on the night stand while getting ready to checkout. She simply forgot to put them on before leaving the room. When we arrived to our new hotel (in Culver City), she realized she didn’t have them on. We called the hotel immediately and was told to file claim via email. Person from Loss Prevention said that nothing was turned in and sometimes, lost items don’t get turned in right away and to check back a few days later. As a long time Hilton Diamond Member (10+ years), I honestly thought the loyalty from the hotel staff would reciprocate. Surely, I was wrong. I don’t mind when the service or food say if a restaurant, I totally understand that. But when it’s the integrity that is the subject, that’s where I draw the line. We came back to stay our last night on a Friday 11/4 hoping something would turn up, and nothing. In addition, I was charged an extra $40 that I shouldn’t have and currently disputing this with my credit card company since it seems that I get no where with the staff there. As a long time Honors member, I plan to take my business to Marriott. The least they could do is deposit Honors points equivalent to the value of the earrings.

Amazing, just amazing. My family and I had to stay here for an unexpected family emergency and we checked in very late at night but the front desk service was phenomenal. The two team members had the most welcoming energy as if we were checking in first thing in the morning. Thank you for a wonderful experience, we will definitely be back.

I want to THANK The Hilton for Kevin and Jerome. Two AMAZING individuals who makes people/guests feel like they are the ONLY in the entire hotel. They not process the check-in process efficiently and CARINGLY, they also make sure throughout the guests stay is SPECIAL. They were VERY PROFESSIONAL but personable and hospitable.I have been an Hilton Honors Member for a while and currently a Silver Elite Status (still working my way upand I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Hotel because of the prestige of the brand, the location, amenities and also, more importantly because of the way Kevin and Jerome made my family feel.

The most convenient hotel to stay at for a Universal Studios trip. Its about a 8 minute walk to the entrance or theres a tram. We preferred to walk because the weather was perfect in October. The hotel is pet friendly. We would choose this hotel again. Thank you for an exceptional stay.

This hotel was perfect, it is right across the street from Universal City and in a really nice part of town. However, as soon as you leave and go down the street, you’ll see a lot of graffiti tagged and homeless. I’d highly recommend staying here as it is a very nice hotel. Complete with a gift shop, ATM, watering stations to fill your water bottle as well as a jeweler named Mario who is right outside the elevators and works from 1 to 10 Monday through Saturday. The hotel has room service available but definitely expensive between $20-$30 per meal or room service. They have breakfast on site with a breakfast buffet that cost $32 or you can get continental breakfast which is $22. They have limited plugs only plugs are on the lamps so if you have an iPhone bring the electric plug as I didn’t see any USB ports, the shower is wonderful as well as the pressure, you may need to order more towels, though, as they only give you two of each, feel free to call down to room service for any kind of needs such as toilet paper, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, or towels in the evening. If you want to go get a drink, they have a bar downstairs Parking is around $35 a day but they you have an app to check you in and out of your room as well as parking in and out. Highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Universal or if you want a nice place to stay in LA.

Hotel is very convenient to universal. You can walk or take a shuttle provided by the hotel . There was an issue with the lock to my room but the front desk and security were helpful in getting it resolved right away. They offered to move me to a different room but I was already settled. It was an issue with the battery in the lock. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast buffet was tasty. However, I would suggest they change the breakfast package. The breakfast that comes with the room is a continental breakfast of fruit, cereal, croissants, and slices of cheese. If you want anything else it’s a 10.95 upcharge. Just have one price and it includes everything. Pool and fitness area are great.

The beds were tiny, the pillows were horrible I had to go out and buy some since we were staying 3 nights. I talked to the staff regarding our dirty coffee pot they said they would replace it but never did. And since we didnt get housekeeping unless you called in advance it was never cleaned or switched out. I was also not advised about the parking fee per night when I made my reservation but still ended up paying. I expected a lot more for being a Hilton. The only good thing was that it was walking distance to Universal and restaurants.

We had some problems with our room. There was no microwave, the air conditioner wasnt working properly, the shower doors wouldnt close properly which resulted in a huge puddle of water on the bathroom floor after each use. For the premium price theyre charging, I was expecting better.

Ill start by saying the only nice part was the upgrade with the view over Universal studios. The carpet was filthy, the rooms seemed like they needed to be updated a lot!$50!!!!! To valet your car even as a "guest".Almost $40 to park your own car at the hotel youre staying at?!!!! Ridiculous!!Everything was so over the top expensive!*** Sure the shuttle back and forth was nice. The view was awesome. But as a normal family, pack some food for the kids and have a camp out night over looking the park.

We originally had a 1 day 1 night stay. We called for them to extend our stay for an extra 2 nights. They accommodated 1 extra night but we had to re-check-in for the third day because for some reason they could not do the 2 extra days extension. When we got to our room, we heard noises through all 3 days like a small banging and will not stop. The fan in the bathroom did not work either. Beds are advertised as queens (2 Queensand they were full size beds. Order at the bar some fries to go since we had to go to Universal HHN VIP tour in less than 45 minutes. Took them 25 minutes to get me fries which I ended up throwing more than half away because I did not have the time to eat them and they were not even hot. They were cold fries. So I have no idea why this took more than 25 minutes to bring fries. Anyways, for the price this please is not worth it. You will get a better suite for less a bit further away from Universal and you will have access to way more stuff.

This hotel was top notch! From the service to the rooms, it really doesnt get better. Awesome views as well. The food is great and the convenience of location to universal even better. Theres also a full bar/restaurant inside. 5 on the hill outside. They provide a shuttle to and from Universal and can also get you the tickets. The food was top notch as well as the service. I highly reccomend this place!

Epic place to stay if you’re going to Universal Studios. Shuttle service every 5-10 minutes. Super convenient!!Lots of amenities. Pool area is fun. Water refil station with filtration conveniently located near lobby. Market with lots of souvenirs and convenience items. Jewelry booth set up some days.Peets coffee inside hotel. Two restaurants (don’t recommend either see my separate reviews why).Lounge area.Beautiful seating in atrium. Our room was decent size. Smelled really Smokey/musty, offered no resolution.Bathroom shower leaked. Distracting.Poor design by putting the full length mirror in bathroom behind door, difficult to see and terrible location. No other mirrors in the Room so if one person wants to shower and another get ready outside the bathroom…sorry.Staff were friendly.Loved EV charging.Expensive parking at $38/night.Overall don’t think I’ll be back.

We had an enjoyable stay here. We LOVED the room! It was comfortable and quiet! The staff were polite and helpful. And this is in spite of a traumatizing even that occurred with housekeeping. The day we were to check out, we went to breakfast early (hadnt checked out...it was only 8 am). We took our luggage to our car but left all of our food & drinks for the trip home in the room, as again, we hadnt checked out and it was early. We went to breakfast. We came back and the maids were cleaning our room and had taken all of our food and drinks for themselves. Since they didnt speak English, they called their manager, Brandon. We were horrified! It was only 9 am at this point. And we felt violated. Finally, the floor manager, Jerome called and arranged a reimbursement for us. But it is unforgivable that the maids were cleaning our room, took our things and we hadnt checked out! While we were waiting to hear from the floor manager, a maid kept cleaning the room while we were waiting. We had to ask her to leave. We felt violated and we both knew that she shouldnt be cleaning while guests are in the room and it was only 9 am and we hadnt checked out! Supposedly, the managers were to get together to come up with a new policy to ensure this doesnt happen again. But it was upsetting. Again, they did provide reimbursement. We would stay here again, but well be on the alert!

Update: my one point of improvement. At the end of my stay I brought my car around to pick up so I could retrieve my bags from my room. They were packed and just needed to come downstairs. The parking attendant told me I had 10 minutes to bring bags down or he would charge me for a full day, demanded my rental car keys. Didnt offer to grab a bell hop etc and was rude. I said it wont be more than 10 minutes and asked if he preferred if I have the bell hops grab them from my room.( I just had to bring my bags down and check out at the desk. I understand the turn around is for load/unload and they dont want people taking advantage but I stayed for a week in a mid-level room and spent quite a bit on extras as well (food/drink etcand was using it for its intended purpose. I think I can have 10 minutes to bring my bags down... I think it is a retraining opportunity and hopefully isolated to one individual having a bad work day. Everything else was lovely but that soured the end of the trip.Stay was pleasant, room was well maintained and comfortable. View is fantastic. Staff is personable, helpful and friendly. Food is good, perfect for food after a long day but not something to write home about. I will definitely be staying next time. I am a bath person and was disappointed that there was no bath just a shower in the room, it is a fantastic shower though. Basically, you should stay here.

I have been here for conferences many times. It is luxurious. The accommodations are well appointed & the views are spectacular. Lots of people are always there but it never seems crowded. The food is always good. It is expensive but that’s to be expected of a hotel near an amusement park.My only real quibble is the cost of parking (self=$35+; valet = $48+). I don’t know what you get for that kind of money. You’d think they’d at least wash & detail the vehicle!!!

I am so grateful that my family and me chose this hotel to stay at for 3 days. The hotel is modern, beautiful, and clean, the views were breathtaking from our room on the 23rd floor, and the employees were extremely friendly. Also, it’s in a superb location that is safe, and it’s conveniently located for getting to places like Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and such. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

I liked the convenience of being near the theme park and the fact that our room price has already included the all-you-can-eat breakfast. Service was great for the most part, but the night before we checked out, a group of random stranger was knocking on our door at 11 in the evening. I wouldn’t say that this hotel was 100% safe.

Awesome property!!!! This was the best location the visit Universal Studios !!! We got a room with a view into the park, you could see fire works from the water world show, map out a route into the park, see lights at Harry Potter castle. Also great view of the whole valley. 5-7 minute walk to Universal Studios. They had a great continental buffet we had lox and croissants with fruits for breakfast it was delicious. Also In and Out burger was right around the corner !! The parking structure was continent to go in and out of. They had filtered water refill stations by the ground level elevators to the rooms. The pool was nice and refreshing !!! We went when it was 100 degrees out. People were renting out the cabanas it looked like they had TVs in there. This was a great experience, good staff, convenient, positioned in the best locations for visiting Universal Studios !!!

Fantastic hotel environment, great modern decorations and awesome art. Near the back of the lobby there is the gym, it seems very large on the website but it is actually two hotel rooms. The cardio room and the weight room are divided. Its good if you just want to lift weights and not run so you dont have to smell all of the sweat in the air, because like the rooms it is unventilated, there is ventilation throughout the AC and can regenerate air but no windows open up Just like the hotel rooms. I ended up buying an Amazon product just so I can see it delivered in the Amazon box that they have in the lobby, it was a cheap item but I wanted to see it happen.

Booked a king bed with sofa bed with universal view. We were lucky to be on the higher floors. We did not hear upstairs footsteps. Great daytime and nighttime view of universal. The bathroom has lots of lighting and mirrors which helps getting ready in the mornings easier. Some cons are that the shower space can be small, and the sofa bed felt very “springy” (uncomfortable). There is also a nice buffet on the lobby floor. Hotel has a shuttle to and from universal city walk, which makes it more convenient. There are also water fill-up stations around the hotel. Pool opens early morning and closes late a night. Hotel staff were friendly. Overall wonderful experience. Would book again!

It is a bit pricey but the room was nice and clean, the staff were very friendly. We ate at their buffet restaurant Saturday night...again pricy but Id you love seafood you get your moneys worth. We also had breakfast buffet on Monday morning which was your standard breakfast food. We stayed here for the close proximity to Universal Studios which was well worth it. They have a free shuttle which takes you from the hotel right to the front of city walk. Our view in our room was of universal studios and you could see the Harry Potter castle. Very cool. The picture was our view from our room!

A beautiful hotel, conveniently located close to Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal Studios is a very short walk from the hotel, but there is also a free shuttle that runs often. I had the best check-in experience in my life thanks to Linda at the front desk. One of the best customer service Ive ever experienced, the rest of the front desk staff could learn a lesson or two from her. She was able to check us in early, and because of my diamond status, she upgraded our room to one with a great view.I would have given this hotel a five star review but I ran into a couple of issues. For one, I kept having issues with my hotel key not working each evening I was there. That wasnt really a big deal, inconvenient, but an easy fix. The greater issue that was never resolved, which I will just brush off as a costly learning experience, was with the dining credit I get from my status. I know its not collective to my total stay, but I was given the impression that I could use it for breakfast for each morning of my stay. I thought I had the following morning to use my first credit. I thought wrong. In reality, once you check in, no matter what time, you have to use your first credit that same night, or you lose it. Charges for the morning, for breakfast, falls under your next day credit. I had trouble comprehending this since a full day stay is from check-in at 4 until check-out at 11, yet any charges, no matter how early it is, falls under the following day. I went downstairs to discuss this with the front desk, but rather than be empathetic, the front desk person was rude and made me feel little for not understanding how the credits worked. A complete opposite from my check-in experience. To avoid any further confusion, I would like to suggest to Hilton to just simply make the credit cumulative for the entire stay, or hand out physical certificates with expiration dates. Im sure Im not the only one who has had trouble with this.

It’s close to universal but the service is bad.upon checking in was told that the tour operator had canceled our room. so we had to either sleep outside with our kids or pay again for the room. So we paid again, only our room with two beds was now gone and we had to take a bedroom with a sofa bed.when we got to the room we were called that the room had been paid for by the tour operator but that there was no other room available. So we dont have the room we paid for, the children dont sleep well on the sofa bed and that for an expensive hotel!the first and last time in a Hilton hotel, 2 more nights and hopefully we will get a hotel with good service. The manager made his apologies and refunded the valet costs. I accepted this because there wasn’t much more he could do. But still you shouldn’t expect this kind of service from Hilton of this kind of quality beds.

Great views if you get the right room. Parking is kind if expensive, $45.00 a day for valet, self-park is $35.00. Of course Universal Studios and City-Walk are right across the street. Theres free shuttle that runs every 15 minutes or less that takes you to the heart of City-Walk. They have a nice seafood buffet during the weekends (crab legs, jumbo shrimp, Mussels, Clams, Calimari and a cook that will toss up a nice pasta seafood of your choice from above. Pool is pretty small and crowded. Price tag is big, but remember, location, location, location

It was a good hotel with a great staff. We booked with points and everything went smoothly. Parking is pricey at $38.50 including tax but you dont have to pay to park at Universal. The walk to Universal was under 10 minutes and had nice views. Complimentary shuttle to Universal was great. Hotel was nice but the rooms need an update. It was clean and we got a $36 per day food credit as a Hilton Diamond member. Did not get an upgrade as a Diamond member but it was no big deal. The water pressure in the shower was great. Staff was incredibly helpful and nice. Got a double queen room on 18th floor with a great view of Universal and downtown LA. Would recommend if youre going to Universal.

Checked in less than an hour early and the floors of the hotel room were wet. Parking was completely taken over by a wedding that was happening in the hotel so guests were forced to drive around for 20 mins to be able to find a spot. Also saw numerous workers walking around the parking garages smoking, including by the entrance to the elevators when we accidentally got off on the valet floor. Ordered room service and the food was super cold and stale. Attempted to ask the bell boys for help and we were ignored. I had booked the room for 3 people originally but one of my guests wasn’t able to make the trip so I informed the front desk and yet was still charged almost $400 for a 3rd person who was not there. The bathtub/shower didn’t work properly either, it either only turned on the tub faucet or would only do the shower faucet but you wouldn’t know which one till the water was turned on. Only nice thing about the hotel was the convenience of it being near Universal Studios. Overall, not a great experience for the price I had to pay.

Large corporate type hotel in the Studio City/Hollywood area that is starting to show its age a bit.Ill list the good and the bad. Lets start with the bad:- The pool area is significantly lacking for a hotel of this class. Small. Boring. Unappealing. The pool area should be nicer.- The hotel itself is starting to get old. Furnishings, carpets, curtains... It gives off an "older than it should be" vibe. I know it looks somewhat modern from the outside, but that quickly disappears once you get inside. The good:- Big, beautiful entranceway with the hills behind you. Very Hollywood.- Its right across from Universal Studios Hollywood if you are visiting there. You can literally walk there.Ultimately, you may want to stay at this hotel for its location. Otherwise, if you spend a little more money you could probably do significantly better.

Wonderful experience at this hotel with great staff. Our hotel room was spacious and they had the option for daily room cleaning which is sometimes hit and miss at other locations. There are a few dining options on premise but it is walkable distance to universal and city walk. Few areas probably need a little paint and carpet refresh, especially around the pool. I would definitely stay here again :)

Overall my stay was beyond lack luster and borderline disgusting.Im currently staying here at the Hilton alongside Universal Studios. During my stay they gave me a handicap room on the lower floors, different from what was advertised as my expected room and also gave me a room with a ton of ants along the ground, in the bathroom and even a few found in the bed. Truly a disgusting experience. After waking up to an ant or three in my bed, my significant other explained that there were some ants in the bathroom. Fine, maybe it was what we ate last night. Cleaned up and went out for the day to return to even more ants around the room. We called the front desk and they said no other rooms available. Not to say I dont believe it but I dont believe that should ever be the end of the conversation, some form of compensation or accommodation should have been made. A manager should have offered something for allowing the cleaning quality to get to this point such that a customer would be given such poor service. Even if nothing is available Id have expected something to try and make the experience more redeemable. Instead we are staying the remaining night only in the bed because 1the bathroom still has ants, 2the desk and tv have ants and 3no one on their side seems to care enough to make it.I wouldnt recommend this place at all. It truly is disgusting and a disappointment to stay in.

Please don’t ever book a corner room with king and sofa bed. We ended up in a floor below the lobby level, very dark room facing a staff garage area. The room wasn’t too tidy either. No daily room service. Definitely not worth the pricey three nights we paid for.

Save your money and dont come here if you are another race other than white. Everyone was getting a room except us. We had to wait longer than expected to get a room. Good hotel, really close to universal. Takes about 15 minutes slow walk. We walked back with a 6 & 10 year old and they did fine. Clean rooms. Awesome staff. The only thing we didnt like was the shuttle, which did not arrive according to the app and after waiting for 15 minutes in a line, people just rush in and cut the line. They need a better process. But definitely will stay here again

Got a king suit since I went with my kids, and this got the corner room that overlooks Universal Studios.Easy talk to the theme park and is a great location if that is what you olan to do with kids. You can cone back between the day to get the heat if summer at bay fir the family. The hotel is quaint and sufficient. It has a small hotel boutique for essentials and even sandwiches.I did not opt for breakfast since you cab get food when the park opens. There is coffee and tea service in the room. The bathrooms are spacious and adequately stocked wih amenities.Service is great and there is a shuttle to and fro Universal City that will have access to Universal Studios. But for us, to get to the park, we just took our time walking then circling around.

Do not stay here! I paid over $400 just for one night. The room was not worth it at all! Not to mention the employees were not friendly at all. During check-in the employee told me we would get complimentary breakfast the next morning. He told me it starts at 5:00 am. When we went for our breakfast they told us we dont “qualify.” After spending $400 one would think I would have got treated like an actual human but nope. The woman at the counter shook her head and turned away. So rude and unprofessional. It is not worth it guys go somewhere else!

The room set up is Not ideal for a family of 4. Only 2 towels were provided and room service never delivered extra towels after calling twice and we had to wait in long line for towels at front desk. No outlet for coffee maker which was plugged in next to bed and coffee maker didnt work. Petes Coffee wasnt open when we went to order coffee. We paid for "view" and had a view of the roof. The room temperature of the room was hot and never cooled off. Thermostat didnt work. I feel as though they saw my disabled brother and assumed that we would be fine with a handicapped room. We only received a 10% refund for a room that was lesser than what we paid for. I will not be staying here again.

I stayed here last week on a Business trip for 2 days and it was OK.The pool was very small and the service was ok .. nothing fancy but pretty pricey. The beds were comfy, clean rooms but watch out for the pot heads smoking weed. Front desk was decent some staffs were rude others were nice. Location is ideal but could be dangerous at night. I would definitely try other hotels next time Im in LA.

We booked a hotel last minute for our daughter’s birthday. The view was absolutely beautiful. The hotel staff from valet, the front desk and room service were all so nice. A huge shout out to our reservationist Meghan! She helped us get the best room possible!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Im so glad that I chose the Hilton for the hotel for our trip to Universal studios. Easy and fast check in, the rooms were super clean and the food was delicious from the restaurant. (A bit on the pricey side, but youre staying pretty much first classThe only issue was the water pressure. It was hard to rinse my hair since it kept adjusting. Think Steven Martin in Planes ,Trains and Automobiles. Thank you for the excellent service!

the place is well located! The break fast is very good! it costs $32 for the full buffet (buffet + hot dishesand $22 for the simple buffet. parking is $35 per day at Self Park! the hotel is very busy! a negative point, the person I was attended at check in was impatient, the queues are very long because there are a lot of people in the hotel! remember this!

The location of the hotel is right next to Universal which is really nice and convenient. The rooms are more spacious than you can tell from the photos. The bathroom and room were clean and we had plenty of towels. The beds were nice and comfy and I absolutely loved the pillows. Would come back. The valet was a little awkward but otherwise all good!

In a nutshell:- They don’t have microwave ovens inside rooms. Charge an additional $20 to have one installed 🤷🏻‍♂️- Parking is $30 per day. If guests come in - They don’t have an option than just paying $30/day or $15 first hour without in and out privileges.- Rooms are good with decent views. Although A/C is not updated and felt below par.- Good shuttle service to and fro Universal Studios. Frequency, every 15mins.- Overall decent hotel that fell short of expectations.
