ADA room was in poor shape. Fridge didnt work, thermostat didnt work, phones didnt work. My reservation was for a roll in shower. My room did not have a roll in shower, but did have grab bars. But no shower chair.Maintenance did fix phones and replaced fridge. They thought they fixed the thermostat but it was not fixed correctly.Thermostat is high on the wall. Not accessible for someone with physical limitations. Also why on earth is the ADA room on the 5th floor? What are physically challenged people supposed to do in the event of a fire.No microwave in room. Told there was one by the vending machine. It was nasty and no plate in it. Not to mention Covid, probably shouldnt be sharing the microwave.
I was really looking forward to staying here after my drive up from Biloxi for work. I had high hopes for this hotel because it’s a Hilton but it was a mess. The lobby was nice enough but the room was not to standards. The bulb in the bathroom was out, there was hair hanging from the lights, the towels were stained with something black, the floor had not been vacuumed, there were stains on the bedside table, the lamps were rusted, the coffee maker wasn’t clean, lots of water damage at the windows, the closet doors didn’t shut, the refrigerator cabinet door had a hard time closing, the roof of the building outside my window looked like a swamp that was overtaken by moss, the thermostat didn’t work, and there was a boil notice so the water wasn’t good for brushing teeth or drinking. Thankfully they were handing out water bottles for the inconvenience. On a positive note, the front desk staff were very nice and friendly. Housekeeping, on the other hand, needs a stern talk. They are not happy to be at work and it completely shows with the way they talk with guests and the job they do. Some adjustments definitely need to be made here.
Wow! Where do I begin? I will run out of characters. This was by far the worst hotel stay in sixty years of travel.1. Room stayed cold, even after turning off the air conditioning.2. You had to ask for room service to clean your room, (still forgot towels).3. Ice machine had a boil water sign. So we bought water to brush and drink only to find out three days into stay the order had been lifted a week ago.4. Staff seemed irritated all the time. The one person who was helpful and came right away to fix the overflowing toilet was the evening maintenance guy.5. When they did "clean the room", the garbage was not removed.6. The tv worked.7. When we got there the one side of the faucet did not work. The hotel was full, the staff seemed overworked. There was a different banquet each night. The place needs an influx of cash, to repair small issues. But if they do Im sure the prices will go up, but then they will price the average consumer out of their hotel. There is too much competition for that. The hotel and their service reflects their leadership. Good leadership will reflect in good service and a great stay.
We enjoyed the the outdoor pool, our service and the food in the dining room and an ice cold beer at the bar. The best part was the assistance we received from Billy in retaining our room for an unplanned additional stay. Stellar staff!
I found this establishment to be quite refreshing. The general overall appearance of the facility and the rooms was emaculate. The staff was courteous, friendly and accommodating going above and beyond the call of duty. This is a rarety since the pandemic. The basic set up of the hotel was breathtaking with a beautiful fragrance throughout it and the rooms. The food was absolutely mouthwatering and I thoroughly enjoyed dining in the redtaurant/bar. The atmosphere was pleasant, welcoming and inviting as were the employees. A special shout out/kudos goes out to the managers and staff that strive everyday to make the Hilton the best. Your efforts have not gone unnoticed. It makes a big difference and have a lasting effect on your visitors. Keep up the good work.
This Hilton location knows how to reward Diamond status with more than a thank you and bottle of water. It is no small thing and they get that! A stay here is always a quality stay from consistent cleanliness to service!
I was there last week for a conference and I would like to say that if it wasnt for Mr. Billy at the front desk I would never come back. He made all my big problems turn small. Also the restaurant. I had the breakfast buffet and I would love to give the staff a 100. Jessica, Kathy, Angela and Mr. Charles keep doing what you do. To Hilton you have a great team as long as you keep these employees. I will come back once I check to see whos working. Thank you
This hotel was awful! When was the last time updates were made? 1984! Everything was old except the television. The room was musty, smelled like mildew and mold. The bathroom fixtures and lamp were covered in rust, tiles were broken, wallpaper was coming off of the wall, ceiling had insulation falling from it, mold in the shower, dust everywhere, furniture was torn and tattered and the clock was broken. Also, the bench near the entry needs to be painted and the large conference rooms are a disgrace. That being said, the iron did work and the front desk staff (Korbin and Mr. Whitewere attentive to my concerns. To the management of Hilton, please do better.
The room was fine, but the carpet seemed incredibly dirty. I wouldn’t walk around any of their hotel rooms barefoot. When I got to my room, the fridge was unplugged and since I was only there overnight, it really didn’t have time to get cold before checkout. Several of the light switch covers were broken in my room, which just looked tacky for such an expensive room. The “free wifi” requires you to sign up for their loyalty program. I was told at the front desk that there was a $15 food credit available that could be used for breakfast, then they charged my card for it. It’s definitely not a buffet worth $15. Luke-warm food that had obviously been sitting for a while, even though I got there at 7AM. When I called the hotel about charging my card for the breakfast, they were incredibly rude about the misunderstanding and refused to refund my card. I would not stay at a Hilton again. I’ve never had this experience at any other hotel chain or independent.
I don’t feel like this was a true Hilton stay. This hotel is very old and it has gone down over the years. It truly needs a complete renovation. The same carpet and furniture from 15+ years ago is still there. My first room was horrible. There were double beds on a queen frame. The bed frames are falling apart, there was mold/mildew in the shower. The door frame to the shower was so small a larger person would have to turn to the side to get through. There was no microwave in the rooms, just a community one near the ice machine. Only two elevators work, and one of those does not even notice someone is standing in the doorway and slammed shut on my stroller. My second room was slightly better. It had a walk in shower, but the seal was broken and water was all over the bathroom floor, which was a slipping hazard considering this was a handicapped accessible room. We were told that maintenance would be by, but they never arrived. The hallway reeked of sour food and dirty diapers because of the community trash can that was next to the microwave. The ice maker on that floor was broken too. The light fixtures are all dusty. The floors need a good cleaning. The paint is peeling off the doors, but instead of scrapping the old off, a new layer is slapped on and it looks unprofessional. I have had better hotels for a lot cheaper. I will not be returning. I will say that the staff is nice and super friendly and the only positive thing about my stay.
This hotel is horrible. It used to be a pretty decent Hilton but now the rooms are out dated and never feel clean, the building itself is run down, the elevators did not work and guests had to walk up to 12 flights of stairs. The service is horrible. Non-Guests walk in and use amenities such as the pool and fitness center. I will not be staying there anymore.
It is insane that Hilton has such differences of standards among its hotels. The Jackson one is just terrible !. Found a dirty underwear in the corner of my room - got to change it (the room). No room service available so no food late. No laundry service available, which might explain point 1. I stayed 2 days and could not get my room done despite posting the sign on the door while the next two rooms were being done ! As if the policy is to not do the room daily for multiple night stay. Overall the hotel is poorly maintained, dirty and without any charm. Only positive point was the kindness of the lady managing the breakfast
Great staff! Very clean! However,. the air-conditioning didnt work so was moved to a different room. TV didnt work. Tired from traveling I just blew it off but the wonderful staff and Management did return half the cost of the room. Very very very nice and friendly staff. Best Ive been very encountered with everyone as a team in this country! Best 🤣 f the best! Across the street from Amtrak! Picture taken from room window looking down on Amtrak! Beautiful hotel
I will never stay at a Hilton again. The front desk clerk along with the manager was rude. The ice machine only worked on floors 4 and 9 and the hotel has like 12 or 13 floors. The bathroom in the room was not properly cleaned before I got there. It still had hair on the shower wall and in the tub. The floor in the bathroom was not mopped because stuff was wasted all on it from the previous guest who stayed there. The carpet in the room was wet. No one ever came to clean our room or bring fresh towels and we stayed for 3 days. The only good thing about the hotel is that its located around a lot of restaurants and shopping stores.
