Hillkeep Regional Park - Country park in Chilliwack, Canada
A couple of trails options to explore the forest. Its great to have such a hidden spot in town for a change of pace. The upper trail has a beautiful view over Chilliwack and thr lower ones fun to work off a bit more energy. Watch your step, sections can be steep, slippery or rocky but definitely recommend it. Dog friendly.
Short hikes, long hikes, uphils, downhills, viewpoint, quiet, unpaved = perfect! Unfortunately Google wasnt helpful in getting us there...
Nice 2km loop trail atop a windy mountain
Great hikes for little ones, two short trails.💥warning bear in area💥 berry season.A didactic sits between two trailheads.1To the right a loop goes down the Northern side into a forested boggy area with earthy smells and a small pond.2To the left the trail follows a service road for a short distance then cuts left up the hill. The trail has tree roots, some sections with sharp rocks and wooden and stone stairs. A view of the mountains to the east can be viewed from the safety of a large platform which has a fence that has wire mesh so little ones cant fall through.
Such a beautiful walk. Went on a birding walk and were pleased with the peacefulness of the Park. Some parts of the trail were even grass and not difficult to walk.
A beautiful woodland walk. Well kept trails. Birds aplenty
Nice hike, short but a great view at the end.
Beautiful and natural place for walking; just be sure to wear bug spray because the mosquitoes are awake! 🙃
Im sure this is a super nice little park. But right now (July 16thit is mosquito-mageddon! Put on off outdoor bug spray and still had a literal cloud following us by the time we were half way to the viewpoint. Had to turn around. Got 10 bites in maybe 5 minutes while wearing pants and sleeves. Will have to come back and try again when its drier!
A great little local park. This park has short loops for hiking, really strolling, and a great viewpoint across the valley. Best to go on a clear day.The location would be better served if there was an outhouse if needed so go before you go.
Great view. Easy hike, even if youre fat.
Definitely want to return here on a clear day as I can guess that the views will be spectacular
Beautiful! Breathtaking view! Easy hike to the viewpoint
Pretty view!
Really cool little spot to check out the city view!
Great little walk. The trail is well kept and nicely market. Great view.
Beautiful view and a nice hike up. Its good for novice hikers. I always pretend Im hiking up to weathertop.
Good quick exercise. Lives up to its name with a few hills, also had a few small ponds.
Nice short hiking trail to a great lookout over the Chilliwack
View point trial is a nice hiking for starters and kids. You will reach the view point in less than 10mins so not so much for fitness seekers. View is fantastic and you get to see the cheam, lady and all other peaks on a sunny day as I did. There is other trial for regular hikers and overall its a good one. Forgot about the road up the hill and its pretty curved. Drive slow and enjoy the view both sides of the hill.
Short trail, steep in parts with a very good view looking down on Chilliwack and the mountains to the south and east.
Loved the car ride up to the top! Great view at the end of the trail.
Excellent outlook over Heritage park and Chilliwack City.
Beautiful hike a little closed in and a lot of private property areas
An easy walk to a viewpoint overlooking Chilliwack and a pretty loop through a forest spotting mushrooms and giant leaves. Great for families. Dogs allowed on leash.
Very nice little hike the girls enjoyed so much the whole trail was was like walking on a big leave carpet.
Easy access for a decent viewpoint. Lots of neat maples and ferns
Very short hike to the point view. The view isn’t so good
Nice loop trail. Well maintained and scenic.
It is a very good hike and the view over the city is just so amazing.
A great local hike even if you dont live on Chilliwack Mtn. Beautiful views and heaps of stinging nettle (a good thing!). Bears and cougar are a real potential so dont go alone. A truly tiny mountain lacking in nothing.
Beautiful and nicely maintained (except for the stinging nettle groves along the path), but super buggy at this time of year! Either bring bug spray, or wait until the fall... its a bug year this year!
A true hidden gem. Small buy so lovely!
Dreamy bird watching moments here and the loop trail like like a fun challenge too even though it starts as downhill
Nice gentle walk thru the forest and great view of the valley at the lookout.
Great little walk! Nice view spot too!! :)
Great hike! Not very difficult. Theres Another loop trail right beside it that has 2 different shortcut options. Would repeat
Good little hike. Not very challenging. Good place to walk your dog on the loop trail. The view is great on a nice day
Walk and drive up the mountain were both breathtaking with stunning views. Trails are well kept and forrest is so peaceful.
Lots of fog and rain this morning but will go back when the sky clears
Dense maple forest on Chilliwack mountain. Quiet trails and amazing views.
Nice houses on the way to the park. It was very quiet early on Sunday morning. Good to relax and take a walk. Nice trail with good view.
Very quick and easy hike, beautiful view
Not a long walk, but lovely all the same. The drive up to the top is nice and the view of the city at the top is great! The loop trail leads you through a forest with singing birds. Though this loop is short, it is hilly. The trail up to the lookout is nice, with stairs that lead you to a great lookout of the city.
Nice little park with trails. Beautiful view from view area. Only Down side is there was quite a few mosquitoes so bring bug dope.
Beautiful easy hike. Great for families.
Very inspiring. A peaceful yet beautiful place for hiking. Trails are clear and easy to walk. The perfect place to get in touch with nature. Lots of wildlife.
Too many mosquitos and the loop trail not maintained. Sprayed half a bottle of bug spray but still decided to give up. Humongous amount of mosquitos.
March 13th. Slippy downhill but fine going up. A walking pole will save a fall.
My wife n I came for a walk to wind down. Never being here before, we didnt know what to expect. Very enjoyable. Excellent views, maintained trails, variety of flora and fauna. We brought binoculars, i think u should too.
