Hillenberg - Restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden
Hillenberg in Stockholm
Description
Privilege
Good is good, but price is too high
Food was good, not all too special though. Very similar to the Swedish meatballs I had in the past.
MoreIm not 100% sure about some of the menu choices
The beef tartare on the menu was written as ”taste of fire” I guess it’s a question of definition but there were no fire in that beef.Disappointing service, extremely disappointing food! A huge disappointment.
MoreClassy and laid-back atmosphere, with a nice ambience overall. Unfortunately the service, while very effective, could be much friendlier and honestly didnt match up to the rest of the vibe of the restaurant. Nothing to complain about regarding the food, but I expected some more creativity in the menu. The oysters were great.
MoreVery positive and pleasant experience all around, I would definitely recommend to try it.The environment is very cool and in my opinion successfully combines modern aesthetic with a cozy feeling.I thought the food choice was very solid as it offers a good variety of dishes that propose new interesting combinations of flavours and tastes.Really enjoyed the food that I ordered as well as the drinks.Only small negative note is the service, which was good but not up to the level of the rest of the dinner, hence 4 stars.
MoreNice place to dine. I liked the atmosphere. The waiter that received us was not so nice, but the waitress that served us was the best, she gave us good tips on specials and the food was superbIt was a little bit more expensive than expected though
MoreDelicious with friendly and accommodating wait staff.
Food was really good, service was unfortunately lacking. We waited quite a while before being greeted at the door, and our server was inattentive and at times dismissive. Have been tohillenberg before and had great service.
MoreHad a lovely business lunch in what is clearly a power-lunch venue. Excellent food and service. Impressive in every way.
MoreThe place is not bad, but it didnt meet my expectation, nothing I tasted there, made me want to visit the restaurant again
MoreVery excellent food and staff super friendly.Mixed menu but mostly Swedish starters.
MoreNice ambience and good food.
Just amazing!Service💯Food💯Everything 💯
Nice atmosphere, great taste, fast service. Would like to see a few more dishes in the menu and the music was quite high. Otherwise a very nice restaurant.
MoreWent in for a late lunch and get a nice greeting. Service was great. The complimentary knäckebröd is DELICIOUS. Unfortunately the prawns were not available but I ordered the roasted cabbage (vegetariandish. So. Darn. Good! A flavour bomb that felt light and fresh but still with lots of umami and different textures. Beautiful presentation too. It felt like lots of thought and effort was put into the dish. Will definitely come back and try more.
MoreReally nice interior, good location and atmosphere. The food is below par though, pricy and just not good enough.
MoreWe waited more than an hour for the food, and unfortunately it was not that good! It was the worst dinner experience in Stockholm.
MoreDaily lunch was a bit simple though well executed. Nice ambiance.
Greta place, good food and friendly staff. Lovely to dine and wine the whole evening. What stood out was the atmosphere and choice of music.
MoreGood, not spectacular. Food is safe, largely consisting of classics like toast skagen, entrecote, creme brulee.
MoreI got the chanterelle mushroom for starter and the char with hollandaise for main course. Pretty safe choice regarding the flavours. Overall the place has an incredible atmosphere and the service was really good. They have a wide variety of wines and good sommeliers. They get 4 out 5 only because they messed up the order and they forgotten us. So we waited quite some time to transition on the main course. However, we left the place happy and with a pleasant feeling.
MoreWe’ve been there three times now and it’s been the same - really slow and, frankly, inattentive service. Even when the place is virtually empty, the staff manages to ignore you. Or maybe they’re just not aware of what an empty glass might mean. Walked past us several tines on all occasions without a glance. We were prepared to order another drink but decided against it. Speaking of drinks, even in a Michelin star restaurant, 300kr ($30for a small (tulip glasscommon, two ingredient cocktail (three if you count bittersmade with fairly common bar staples (whiskey, vermouthis fairly ridiculous. Wanted to try the food there, but the slow, inattentive service made us shy away.
MoreThe poorest restaurant I had experienced since a long time. The atmosphere is nice and the service quite well but the food is horrible. Weve got stomach pain after eating there. Too greasy, not tasty at all and not clean neither. I dont advice you to come here unless you want to throw your money and have a medical certificate for your job. Good luck to everyone!
MoreExcellent food and service
Good service, good food with nice company excellent
My family and I love this restaurant; fresh, tasty, good service and well decoration. You should try it!
MoreAwesome and cosy place! Very good prices, we had a variation of starters/snacka/pizza, the drinks and wines where also really good!
MoreVery good food (we tested the salad), very good service. Impressive collection of Champaign bottles at the bar
MoreExcellent food, friendly staff. We were 7 days in Stockholm, stumbled upon this place on the first day and returned a second time during the same stay. Really great experience!
MoreFine dining with atmosphere and style! This is certainly one of the best restaurants you can choose in Stockholm. It’s in every aspect very stylish and posh and this is as well true for the food. Every dish is an art creation, not only looking fantastic it also has the taste you expect when you see it. Regardless if fish or meat or something vegetarian, it is perfectly cooked and you will enjoy every bite of it. The food is accompanied from a nice selection of wine and at least my experiance was, recommendations are worth being taken.Service is not always at the same level as the food served and it really depends if you where lucky with who is serving you. Dont get me wrong, all are very nice and friendly, but essentially you would expect the same level of perfection, as they handle the food. However, it is fun being there enjoying the food, the wine, the atmosphere, some "eye candy" arround you (especially at dinner timeand to relax with style.
MoreYeah not sure of what part on no milk butter or cream she did not get 😱😱😱😱
MoreThe truffled pasta was amazing. The porcini mushrooms were flavorful, the pasta was properly done, and the truffles were fresh. Great experience overall.
MoreWe happened to walk by this restaurant on a sunny summer evening. The outdoor seating is very inviting and comfortable.Food was excellent and a generous portion size. A great selection of local beer, and nice choices of wines and cocktails also. Service was efficient and staff friendly. Please be aware that this place does not take cash.
MoreOne of the better restaurants Ive been to in Stockholm. Been a few times so the quality is very much genuine. Staff is so kind and always try to satisfy your needs. Beautiful interior and can open the entire front in the summer. Food is what Id call Scandinavian but scroll the menu for yourself. Whatever you pick, its so good. Dont miss the amazing bread basket before also.
MoreCozy place yet get quite busy in the evenings. Nice selection of some Swedish inspired dishes. A rather safe bet, nothing exceptional.
MoreTruffle pasta and creme brûlée were 👌🏽 tasteful space, relaxing ambience, friendly and attentive staff - excellent dinner location
MoreExtraordinary service in a very stylish and cool setting. Perfect for a business dinner as it was quiet enough to have quality discussions but not awkwardly silent at all. The menu was fabulous and very Swedish. The prices were classic Stockholm high end, expected and worth it. I had mushroom toast and salmon.
MoreThe restaurant is well decorated, modern and a bit fancy. Its a bit pricey considering the size of the dishes and the taste. A bit disappointed as we expected better food in this price. The service was good and since we went early during a weekday, not many people there.
MoreDecent food for decent prices. Nothing too spectacular though. Not much identity at this place. Had the truffle pasta which was tasty but too oily/greasy
MoreVisited the place in 2017 after reading an article about it being a "quiet" restaurant with spacious seating. I. e., a place for people wanting to have a good meal and conversation in a calm environment.Went back in 2018 only to find out that the new owner had reverted back to the (unfortunatecommon practice of playing music on high volume, with a more crowded table layout.Food was bland, not particularly bad but not very good either. Service was unwelcoming, when I asked them to turn the music down I first got a "no", then a waiter promised to do something about it but nothing happened.Hopefully, some day restauranteurs will realize that most dinner guests do not care about music playlists. We just want a good meal and talk with our company in a conversation friendly environment. In short, I see no reason to visit this place. There are other restaurants in the area/price range that offer better food, environment and service.
More-1 stars from me. The food was good but couldve more taste to it. The staff have almost been friends everytime except when they did not let you taste the wine. If it did it taste good I wouldve throwed the bottle on the floor and asked for a new one.. was there again and a guy in nice clothes was going to present the wine wich he did not and he didnt even open the bottle by the table...that felt weird...
MoreThis place is a bit on the more pricey side, but the atmosphere and the food is well worth it. While this is a Swedish restaurant, the actual Swedish food offerings are not that many, but what they have is really good. Also, the place is really well situated for having a friendly dinner with your business partners and colleagues.
MoreGreat apetizers, olives were meaty and served with fresh buns. Main meal as well. Truffle pasta was very creamy and full of truffles. Beef tartare was nicely seasoned and with tasty quality meat, only complain that it was ground and not chopped. Will come back!
MoreReally friendly place, the servers where very attentative and had good knowledge about menu and wines. The restaurant indoor was half empty, tables by window was excellent. The floor to ceiling windows was fully opened so it felt like sitting outside. The outdoor seating area was packed in the evening and fits perfect for a drink.Hot Shots to be found here, 115 SEK.Good Caviar 795 SEK.
MoreExcellent food and service in a luxurious milieu. The crispy chicken and the nettle soup was so delicious it is hard to forget the taste of them. The prices are a little high for a Central European, but if you can pay it it worths the price.
MoreOne of the best new fine dining restaurants that Stockholm has to offer at the moment. They deserve their place in Micheline guide.
MoreFood and cocktails were amazing but it took nearly an hour to get our bill (even after asking). Rest of the service was great. Sad ending to our meal.
MoreGreat food, good cocktail from bartender, excellent service from service men and ladies. Very high standard of Scandinavian cuisine. I will come again.
MoreGood and stylish make sure you book.
