Hightower Park in Altus

Its always got a few people and the playground isnt anything too special. Its got some cool structures on it but its nothing to write home about.

I love it here this place makes me feel like I belong here and I can enjoy being here plus its very beautiful

Very nice spacious park. A little rundown and unkempt. Lots of trash and full trash bins. Needs more picnic tables. Next to the city pool and waterslide, looking forward to coming here in the summer.

Nice place to get out and walk. Has serve path around the park. Also like the plane and statue you can view at the park.

Christmas lights here are beautiful! Love walking the paths around the park. Playground equipment could be kept up better but otherwise and enjoyable place.

Great light display your 2020. It took my mind off of the terrible year that we have had.

This park is amazing especially at Christmas time. The display they put out truly puts you in the holiday spirit. Weve been going for a few years now and its always beautiful.

A nice, clean, well kept park. Static displays of aircraft are a favorite of my sons. Offers plenty of walking space and lawn area for a family outing.

They do Christmas in the park here. Beautiful lights and cool festive Christmas displays. Theres hot cocoa and a horse and carriage ride. Definitely a fun activity for the family in Nov-Dec

Its a great park to walk around and nice Lil park for the kids and the Christmas lights are AMAZING pictures with santa, the Coco truck, and the train ride I love it

Last time I was on this field, in 1995, the Bulldogs lost to us. "Go Big MAC!!!"

Pretty park but not a lot of places to park

Watch out for the hole on the south side of the entrance, other than that peaceful walk at night.

Not as much a park as it is where kids go to do drugs, andhang out. Watch out for needles!

We have an autistic two-year-old and the people that run that area especially the lady I dont recall what her name is but they were outstanding they were so helpful and so patient with the kids and they also gave lot of information as to what is going on in the community for children with autism.

Such a pretty neat park especially on holiday season like Christmas. Love their lights & decorations. They always added up some good stuff every year. Listening Christmas songs feels so much happier 😍

Not as good as it was in the past.

Its a really well designed park layout. Its bordered to a major roadway, yet just walk 20 yards and more into it, and it feels like your secluded. Its a testament to the engineers who built it in 1947, that it has maintained its charm.

Beautiful place to go walking!Flag flies high in the wind! Families wander on grass and playground.Pets enjoy the outing!I have been coming to Hightower Park since I was a child.My wifes family, the Hightower, gave this land to the city along with land for the high school and stadium.

The park is great theres plenty of stuff to do if your creative enough. In case youre not theres swings, pathways, play ground equipment everything you need to have a great day outdoors.

Very some park

Hightower parked at the East End of Commerce Street has a beautiful gazebo with beautiful mushrooms in Long curving lines whose white Tops on the green grass contrast with the white gazebo and make a beautiful picture. Especially its nice if you like to walk in the park on a regular basis!

This is a great area for Sunday afternoons or anytime for that matter. There are occasional concerts here and many different groups meet there such as the Cinco de Mayo celebration which is great fun! There is a city pool indoor and outdoor one with waterslifes and childrens wading pool. There are walking paths, picnic areas, play areas too. Of course at Christmas time there are light everywhere and then Easter the Citywide Easter egg hunt for kids is held.

Used to be a fantastic Christmas light display but boy has it gone downhill. Not worth the trip.

Hightower Park is one of the three parks my kids adore. The new playground equipment is safer than the other metal slide and merry go round and the recent renovations to the Gazebo is nice. Make sure to check this park out in December when its covered in Christmas lights!
