Great place and food

Visited the place for the first time from Washington DC. As a nature lover Im just so overwhelmed by how gorgeous the place is! Luv the botanical gardens and the landscapes. Great for wedding & debut pictorials as well as parties, events and proposals. Great food! A must visit place!

Update: 01Oct2022We tried their crispy kangkong, it is really good.👍🏼👍🏼One of the recommended BBQ restaurant in Ormoc.Family friendly and great food.How to get there is by personal vehicle or tricycle.It is an uphill route so better be ready with your gears and brakes.This route is also famous for cyclist going to Lake Danao.They have huts you can reserve should you like a bit of privacy.And they have their main dining area that can accommodate around 50 people.Their food are delish, and they have a unique menu where you can choose.What we really like is their small kaldero or cauldron, where they place their solo rice orders, but they do offer platter also if diet is not an issue. :)We recommend their Native Chicken Tinola (soup), Pochero, Fried Native Chicken, Lechon Kawali. And for those adventurous in terms of food we recommend their Chicken Proven, Crispy Isaw, and Chicken Skin.One cons is on their baked scallops, too salty when we ordered potentially on the type of butter used.All in all they are worth the visit.

Beautiful ambiance. So when we placed our order and were told that serving time is 20-30mins, we didnt mind since we were still able to look and wander around their beautiful landscape. Al fresco dining. Ventilation was really good. We likewise enjoyed the food. Fairly priced. Plus points that they accept card payments especially that theyre located a bit far from the city proper for those whod be short of cash. Make sure you come early or at least make a reservation because the place gets full pretty fast.

I like the view and feel but needs improvement on customer serviceThey could have ask their accommodated guest to have a glass of water while waiting for their orders. There are customers who are frightened to ask for water unless initiated by crew.

Its a nice place to dine and bond with family and friends. Location is perfect, being high up in the mountain. Same goes with the food.

The place is located on the mountain and it has a nice view of nature and the city, especially at night. The foods are great too as well as their prices. They were not that expensive but the food is delicious. The place also has nice ambience. Customers could choose whether they could eat in the main hall or in their little huts just beside the main hall. They also have a very accommodating crew.

AVERAGE FOOD, ABOVE AVERAGE PLACE. My recent visit to Highlands Barbecue led me to the conclusion: the dishes I tried are just average in terms of flavor and taste... but what this place lacks in that department makes it up with its extraordinary ambiance! I think people come here not to try a particular dish but they come here for the experience. Located more than 50,000 ft above sea level, you can breathe the fresh air... and feel the cool breeze. Theres lots of parking space and lots of playing space for the kids. So if youre looking for a different kind of dining experience in Ormoc City...I would highly recommend this one.

Beautiful gem of restaurant halfway up the mountain from Ormoc, absolutely lovely

The food is great, but whats spectacular about this space is the view you get of the Ormoc Bay. Situated in the mountains of Milagro, you get a 180° view of Ormoc Bay plus the very cool ambience of the place made more beautiful by their bountiful collection of flowering plants.

Went there during my Safety training at EDC complex. Nice open place with very nice view. Service was good. Food was basic but affordable. Waiter was helpful and attentive. Its a bit far from ormoc but its a good poace to visit if you want to relax away from the city.

Great place to hang out. Its always a couple of degrees cooler than the city. They left the Xmas lighting which is great at night.

Located about 9 kilometers from the Simangan crossing, this is a good place to dine with the whole family. They serve tasty and healthy cuisine and the scene overlooking Ormoc City is simply awesome. If you plan to bring your family or friends here, please take note that the tables as well as the parking area is limited so you need to make reservations or come early.

Good BBQ restaurant in Ormoc City. Highlands is about 10 KM north of the city in the Dolores Bgy. Its about a 10 minute drive or maybe 25 minute trike ride. However, the trikes dont like to go up there, and once you are there it is very difficult to get a trike ride home from there so you need to consider that. We were at a big party and we tried most of the foods and everything we had was good. I liked the Pork BBQ the best. Nice lights and decor here. Fun place for a meal.
