I have only been to the dog park here. My doggo enjoys coming here. If he’s happy I’m happy
Great playground. Amazing dog park for big and small dogs.
Spent many hours of my life in High Point but had never been down this road in this direction and I needed to kill an hour with a pet and the Google machine steered me here. Two sided dog park with under 20# to the right and 20# to the left. You can see the parking lot from the dog park so no need to worry about your car or valuables. Water available for the pooches and it was nearly 100 this day so it was needed. I think I saw a nice playground across the parking lot while leaving. Really nice manicured baseball diamond next to the dog park.
This is my first time here. Love it. Clean, accessible, with water fountain for the dogs, waste Station, benches for dog owners, two areas for small dogs and dogs over 20 pound. Nice. Will come again.
I know were West Parris Street at. It cant be to far from that school on Centennial Street. Its not the shelter!
Clean with working water fountain, plenty of poo bags. Recently laid sod has cut down on the number of muddy dogs so thats nice.
Great place to bring your children and dog friend. The dog play area has two sides. One for large dogs and one for small dogs. Also the playground is in the shade.
Love that there are separate areas for large and small dogs (20lbs is the line). Several trees and benches as well as fresh water available.
Small park, but awesome dog park for the fur friends to run and play.
My kids and I went on new years day. We were visiting from out if town and needed to burn a little energy before getting back on the road. We enjoyed it there. Everyone who came with dogs were respectful and had them on leashes. Nice area.
Its a great place to take your dog they have 2 fenced in areas one for large dogs and 1 for small dogs. You can take them off their leash and let them run.
Nice quiet walk. A great mini getaway. If only for an hour or two.
Great place to take your dog. If you forget your toy, theres always some balls laying around.
Park is well-maintained with separate areas for small and large dogs. Overall, the park is small but the dog parks are spacious and mostly grass.
Our dogs are more relaxed and have had more fun here than any other park we have visited
Not a bad park to relax and unwind. We had stopped to eat before we headed to our destination. We like to eat in the park rather than in the car. Its ok. Atleast theres is portable toilet. Sanitize before you sit down.
I was at the dog park picking up a dog I had just adopted (outside of the gate to the parkand a lady came in with 2 big dogs and just let them out of the vehicle loose without a leash. One came up to the dog I was adopting to smell and the other came from behind him and they jumped on him. It was bad since my dog had bad experiences with other dogs already.
Not awesome for toddlers, no baby swings. Dog park looked lovely and fun however.
A clean and nice dog park to take your fur- babies to run around in. They have 2 fenced in places at the park one side for small dogs and the other for bigger dogs to play in and water fountains for your dog 🐕. Have to have your dog registered in guilford county first before taking your fur- babies here.
I Love! the dog park @ Hedgecock Park. They have 2 sides (both sides are a great size). As long as no-one needs to keep their dog separate, people open both gates and let the dogs use both sides (there was only 1 time I was there that a person needed to keep their dog separate). The dog park has water fountains for the dogs, benches for the humans and some shade for both. It is maintained well too.
Very nice dog park and it is not crowded.
Great park for the dogs! Lots of space and good amenities (water, waste bags, benches). A few holes that need filling but not major. Everyone was reasonable with their dogs
This park is always kept nice and clean. Some dogs that come here can be a little aggressive, but overall my dog seems to enjoy herself.
It was nice they had water bowls for the pups which was super nice. Could use a little more room for bigger dogs but overall it was nice
We love this little park. Excellent dog area, but more its quiet for lunch dates.
There’s a tall skinny Caucasian woman with very short hair and a grey and white pit bull that is temperamental toward male dogs despite otherwise seeming well trained. My dog will not react when attacked, so the behavior of that dog is concerning. Especially when the woman proceeded to argue and entice an altercation rather that assist with the dogs. Definitely a Karen. Be safe!
Nice park but my dog is 10 lbs and unfortunately doesnt do well with big dogs. I hate it but thats the way he is. I took him there and all the dogs were together on the small dog side. I couldnt bring my dog in. I asked why all the big dogs are on the small side. They said they always mix them. One lady said we can move to the other side. I thanked her. Well then it just seemed like everybody had an attitude and everyone took their dogs to the other side. Small and big. I thought they were all rude and I felt like an outcast. Very clicky place. I have always gone to dog parks with my other dog who fortunately got along with any size dog. I have always enjoyed the company of people at a dog park. I have never run into people being clicky and rude. I wont go back.
The park is nice, has a small dog and big dog side. The dogs enjoyed it. The people that are regulars at the park are super judgemental and rude so unless you want to deal with that I dont recommend going there. The Bark Park in Greensboro is a much better park and totally worth the drive. Also the only bathroom is a porta potty.
Small nice park.Pet friendlyPlenty of parking spaceSwings for toddlers and older kids
Nice place to bring your dog, but some people are bringing big dogs to the small dog area... I havent been able to bring my Yorkshire to the park because always full with big dogs.
Hedgecock Park seems to be able to he best dog park in the High Point area. Has a water station, poop bags, and both a small dog and large dog area. It is upkept well, and Id recommend taking your dog!
Lovely place full of lovely dogos with lovely people, I am so happy that I found this place, my husky and Chihuahua Love it.Very clean.
My dogs had a blast at the dog park! There is a big dog section,A little dog section, and a water fountain for the dogs.
I love bringing my dog there to play. Everyone that Ive met so far are super friendly and the doggos are also well-mannered(for the most partand for those lacking common sense, do not bring your dog to the park if its aggressive. Its a real mood killer and its unfair to all the non-aggressive dogs who just want to have a good time.
Really nice park with all of the needed amenities - everything is still really new and in great shape with nice people and dogs to boot. Definitely worth checking out!
Very clean and spacious. Convenient that the playground was right next to the dog park, my kids played and my fur baby played.
Ballfield and dogpark are pretty nice, but the playground is a bit older, and pretty small. One big plus is lots of shade from mature trees.
Great park- dog park is the best in the area. Playground is fun and shaded
Love this shady neighborhood park. Some picnic tables and benches, swings and a play gym for the littles. A dog park alongside it and a baseball field. Good parking and Port-a-Jons should the need arise. Only a couple blocks off Main.
Nice and convenient dog park. Met several friendly dog owners and their pets. There is a kids playground there too.
Has a dog park, swing set, playground area, picnic tables. Beautiful view. So peaceful and quiet. Will be back
Nice spot, but could work toward some improvement. I moved to NC from Indiana 2 years ago. Dog parks in Indiana tend to be nicer, require membership (locked to non-membersand annual fees. This park is a nice start, though! Larger dog portion can get swampy in lower area and does have a significant puddle. My dog is having a blast here though. The other dog owners are amazing and its a great "community."
Great place for dogs large and small. For safety there are signs posted about bringing in kids inside fences, please abide by rules. Dogs are large and playful they play as dogs should and wouldnt be dogs fault if your child is injured. Great dog owner family atmosphere.
We love the park.My dog Lars and I go every day since it opened. Problems really need to move pet waste can. On large dog side it rite beside ware People gather and water there dogs oder can be overwhelming at times. Also wish park rangers would start checking for tags. Many dogs have no tags or collars and dont know if some dogs have ever been to a vet or not.
Awesome dog park! I have been there a number of times and there are lots of friendly dogs and friendly people that use the park. They have water facilities and bags for dog waste and benches for sitting. Some people prefer to bring a chair so that you can sit near the front. Never had a bad experience here. One thing I really like is that High Point requires you to register your dog and get a tag to use the park and that gives you an added factor of safety knowing the dog doesnt have issues. Kudos to High Highpoint Park and Recreation for this great doggie park!
As of June 2018 there is a dog park for both large and small dogs. It is just the right size. Bring your own chair.
We enjoyed our first time at this park. There was plenty of room for our dog to play with the others. Benches, water and shade. Clean and neat. There is also a baseball field and playground. Well be back.
Nice new dog park. Not much seating for humans, little shade, and could use another waste receptacle. Dog, however, loved it!
Very nice serene park, I go here often, with my children, as well as by myself. I find it a great place to relax, enjoy nature, and clear my mind.
All PRIVATE, membership soccer park (with private securityconvenient to North Main street, Skeet club rd, and several new residential communities. Its the "snobbish" alternative to the larger, public High Point Athletic Complex east of N. Main street.
