Hickory's - Rhos-on-Sea in Llandudno

This is perhaps the fifth time I have visited Hickorys, and on each occasion the food has been first class, however yesterday the food and service were less than I have come to expect. The background music was too loud to even have a conversation across the table. I will of course return to Hickorys, but it may not be as soon as I may have previously planned

Been here a few times now. The food is always amazing. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Kids love the free popcorn and the cinema room, and the slide outside when its warmer. I recommend the 3am mac and cheese. I keep going back, I recommend anyone to visit.

Nice menu. Very good with dogs! Wooden huts with very warm heaters outside for those of us with dogs. The huts would keep you dry (in our opinionin all but horizontal rain so a great place to go. Staff were really friendly. Toilets were clean and they even had free products in the ladies toilet for those of us ‘caught short’.

Highly recommend the bird and beast burger it was lovely! I have been a few times and always had lovely food and friendly staff. Drinks a bit pricey but acceptable

Went for a birthday meal, never been before really enjoyed the food and kids loved the cinema. We didnt have to wait long for the food, service was good. The only thing I could fault was the price of soft drinks. The milkshake looked great though and they were only slightly dearer than the soft drinks we had .

Birthday lunch, didnt disappoint! Sharing platter was superb, even enough left to take home (and my husband is a big eater!Loved the cocktails and sitting outside in the cosiest little booth, lovely staff, great service definitely deserves 5 stars!

Very good food as always. Evening meal deals are good value, steak and a shake for £10.99 on a Wednesday. Normal menu is expensive but not had a bad meal there.

Lovely food pleasant staff. Was in here on a busy Saturday night. Order taken and food came out really quickly. Nicely cooked would recommend...

Food was amazing as always.Steak is always spot on. My daughter loves the Mac and cheese. Clean toilets are easily accessible, with anything you may need to hand (deodorant,wipes, tampax, padsStaff are always friendly and helpful. And again food is Amazing!

Lovely food and pleasant, friendly staff.Only complaint, I prefer my food on a plate. As table surface was uneven and meal was delivered on a wooden board it was awkward to keep level and cut food as it was spinning round.

Being local, we often visit Hickory’s and love the food, atmosphere and overall experience- but on our recent visit on 29/8/22- Milly specifically delivered outstanding customer service from start to finish. We had our puppy with us, and even though it was a busy bank holiday- she still managed to move us out of the sun and gave our little puppy a pillow to sleep on. She showed outstanding customer service and is a credit to the establishment, being attentive, polite and friendly throughout our whole visit. No request was too much! There was also a male manager on shift, I didn’t manage to get his name but he also delivered outstanding service to both me and my mum!

I “walked in” on Friday evening and the place was buzzing, nearly all the tables were busy. However they found me a stool at the bar.I had Cowboy steak chips and a beer, all served to me by the captivating Chloe - and it was excellent. The service is top notch for such a busy place. Best to book a table sit back and enjoy.

Really great place which is on my doorstep...so nice to know we can eat, drink and hang out with family and friends, and also be served by my family☺️. Love coming here, what an asset to Rhos on Sea love the cocktails ...well it is Friday, Saturday and cheeky Sunday too! Great service and certainly recommend for all ages, even allow our dogs😁🐾

We had a great day out in Llandudno, the pier was a great place to visit.

Lovely food everytime we visit but to be pressured about why we didnt want to give a tip on an already huge bill has put us off visiting again in the future. Yes its an american dinning experience but we shouldnt be asked on why we dont want to tip (which was 10% of the whole food bill). Made the whole experience very awkward, should be a discreet option if we want to give it or not without staff questioning.

Visited here this evening for a birthday treat the service was 5* it was so busy but the waiter always checked we was ok, food didn’t take long as some restaurants we’ve been to & cooked to perfection, we brought our own bday cake & they presented it amazing for us all laid out even put a chalk board on our table saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Fantastic and friendly staff and good food and drink. It is a bit expensive though for what you get. It is fun though watching people looking for the toilet walk past it a few times before finding the quite well hidden door.

First server was excellent young blonde lad girlfriend works at the zoo. Then it went down hill! All the servers seemed to do was hug each other ,even the chef on the pass was hugging different servers. It was like a youth club. My girlfriend had fajitas, daughter had cod bitesboth delicious. I oped for cowboy spicy steak as its a steakhouse so cant go wrong. It didnt come with the rub on it and it was really poor quality steak very very chewy. I didnt tell the server until the end and they took if off the bill. I didnt want to interrupt our meal, sending it back waiting for another one to be cooked. I also had to chicken wings which were dry over cooked. Its a shame as we are frequent visitors to West kirby and Chester which are always faultless experiences.

Teen birthday getvtogether. Sat outside as party of 6. The young man who served us was great. Personable and very efficient. Good was really tasty. Great atmosphere

First time trying Hickorys, food was ok but pricey. Wouldnt rave about it, just standard pub food. Was put on a table far away from kids play area even though I had a young child with me and there was loads of tables empty by there. Went into one of the toilets and it never had no toilet paper. And I dont think that a tip should be added to the bill beforehand.

Brilliant service, food was superb, we brought our dog and all staff really friendly and loved her! Will definitely be back!

Lovely meal for two. Busy atmosphere but only waited 5 minutes to be seated. Decent portion sizes. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Would definitely visit again.

Great service and atmosphere. Accommodated a large group on short notice. The staff were polite and helpful and were really great at checking our orders and providing for gluten free and a dairy free dietary needs. Highly recommend. Plus the food was great, well presented, tasty and filling 😋

Went there for the late lunch today with my partner and 5y old son. We loved it!!! The staff helpful and friendly ,the service fast, love the vibe and music of the place. Very very pleasant visit. The kind lady brought my son colouring/activity book and some colouring pencils. The children menu available. Seating available inside and outside.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. We weren’t sure if we would enjoy it here but we are so glad we decided to go. We hadn’t booked but the restaurant got us seated on the walk in tables after a few minutes wait.I loved the po boy sub, Mac n cheese and the cocktails! Also the grape soda was a sweet treat. Staff very attentive and friendly too.

Fantastic BBQ. I eat at. Alot of BBQ places and so some myself. The wings were delicious and the beef rib (recommended by the waitresswas excellent. Service was good and the staff were friendly. Will return next time Im nearby.

Food amazing. Staff very friendly, nothing too much bother. Not a place for a quiet night out, but maybe school holidays played a part

Our go to place for a special occasion. Me and my girlfriend tried lots of places but this one is the best. It seems like its going through a turnover of staff but its still by far the best place around. Southern Fried Chicken Burger, the cloudy lemonade and biscoff Milkshake are amazing! A bit over our budget to do it regularly but its worth it when we go.Parking is a challenge when its busy.

Its our second visit here & will be returning more often. staff are very friendly even though its been very busy both times,.Even though both visits were midweek lunch time people were comonig & going. food is excellent & didnt have long to wait.the toilets are hard to find though there hidden behind the wall ha ha ha . you will have to visit to see what i mean all in all a great experiance. 10/10

As per usual great food and friendly service was my sons birthday, the staff helped to make him feel special from a birthday sign on the table to a lovely sparkler on his cake. Never disappointed here been here a few times now and every time had a great experience 😁

We really enjoyed the food and service here. Everything was very tasty. We had the 3am Mac n cheese, jumbo wings and fries. The only criticism we had was that the jumbo wings werent very big and were smaller than the wings wed usually buy from the supermarket. Seemed like a lot of money for the size of them. Otherwise our meal was fantastic.

A lovely place with excellent American style food and friendly, helpful staff. From an autistic point of view its rather overwhelming, with loud music, very busy, and lots of noise. Great for people who like that, though. But the staff were amazing at accommodating the needs of my sons when we visited a while back, and on our visit today we got birthday balloons on the table!- Coming back to this three years later - this is still a great place to dine, with really good food, good portion sizes, good prices. Weve visited the Shrewsbury branch in the meantime too, and that was just as good.

It was very good, I really liked the corn dogs and the meringue. Just the macaroni cheese was a bit bland.

What à lovely place this is. Went for dinner while staying in Wales and definitely was impressed. The service was second to none, nothing was too much trouble, great atmosphere and truly wonderful food.

Updated. Hate the thing of having the 7.5% service charge automatically added. PLEASE STOP THIS!It is awkward to say no to this.Great food. Good atmosphere and brilliant waiter.The only reason that I scored 4 rather than a 5:- They seemed to allow e-cigarettes. There was a man smoking in full view. I dont like the small and dont agree with this in restaurants.- We booked a table for 7:30 but the table wasnt ready for us and we had to ask again to be seated ... some people who came I just before us but didnt book were seated before us.Really good place though.

Good family place to eat out, the food is tasty and you get huge portions. We had the slow cooked brisket which was delicious and theres a decent kids menu too. The staff were very friendly and theres a play area for kids. Id advise booking as it was very busy when we went.

Great atmosphere and good food served by well trained staff. Not too over-Americanised if that makes sense (as some places arebut Hickorys has a good authentic American diner style vibe.

Great environment, but the building was lacking in accessibility - there are about 20 stairs to go down after the disabled parking spots and no parking on the ground level. Cracking meal, the food tasted great. The milkshake was decent and the brisket mac and cheese was a real standout. A little overpriced for what actually arrived and the service was nothing special.

Second visit, just as the first. Clean, today and friendly, approachable staff. The food was excellent. Definitely worth a visit.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with tasty food. The standouts were the banoffee and biscoff milkshake and the banoffee and ice cream skillet, they were delicious. The savory food was good, the burgers that the 2 members of our party got were rated 7/10. The pulled pork I got was okay. For context, I’ve lived in the us since 2017 and have had some great BBQ and pulled pork there so comparatively I think the pulled pork here could be better. In particular, I think removing the beans and lathering the pork in a sweet BBQ sauce would improve this pork immensely. Having some of this sauce on the side for the chips would be a nice bonus. Additionally, the coleslaw that came with this pork was bland

Kind of knew what to expect as I’ve visited ta few other hickory’s restaurants.For a chained the quality of food is still unreal and honestly incomparable to most other restaurants.The food is a higher price point but really is worth while.

Its been far too long, so glad to be back here for the usualy high quality experience from start to finish, the food is still the star, staff are always friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Hickories own pale is dam good too!

On a recommendation from a lovely lady running the shop at Welsh Mountain Zoo, we changed our usual eatery to hickorys. This place is 5*. Great place, excellent atmosphere, first class service from all staff. That is all before you get to see the menu! the range and quality of food and drink options is exceptional. Definitely the best steakhouse we have visited, bar none.Layout of the venue is well thought out. Both the interior and the exterior are well maintained, well presented, with little details making the venue that bit more special than other venues.They also cater for kids/toddlers/babys with high chairs available on request, out door play area for the older kids, and dog friendly.Cant say enough, We will definitely be revisiting here again... Hopefully soon!

Family, kids and Dog Friendly. Mini soft play area, with a slide for kids and a rope walk. Prior reservation is best recommended as the place is quite busy due to its fame. We reached here reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor & Google, but sadly we had to wait for 50 mins, which didnt kind much as we walked near the seaside. On our return, the visit was worth the wait and every moment spent here with 2 kids in our family was amazing. One of the most friendly staff you will find, and the food, scrumptious and bursting with flavours. Oh yeah, we could not get to the tasty dessert but the cocktails were really cool. Most recommended for anyone. Ambience was also very lively, indoor or outdoors. Best dining experience after a lovely day spent at the Beach.

Always a good choice coming here, never fails to disappoint. Staff are always friendly. We arrived without a reservation and didn’t think we would get a seat with eat out to help out being on, but the 3 of us managed to get a table outside. I got the chicken fajitas and honeycomb frozen custard. Portions are great sizes and delicious food. The BBQ pulled pork and steak is also great. Something sweet is on the chips too which is delicious.
