Hibachi Grill in Round Lake

Went there about 11:30 AM for lunch. Everything was perfectly prepared, prompt staff attention, and great selection.Great value for under 12 bucks with tax.

Food is good. Fairly cheap place to eat Chinese food. I would recommend this place

Not even a star is worth.went at 5:30 on a Sunday evening.However the dishes are empty and the owner continue to receive customers.even after 40 minutes.they don’t refill the food.still.owner continues to accept customers to make money.The very very worst buffet restaurant.I am so angry..Chinese people whit no conscience.

Went there with my grandfather to celebrate him coming to town as he wanted to have some Chinese food. It was very good and everything went well except for one small thing. The dessert bar is a little behind. Nutty buttys were either stale or soggy.

Coming into this establishment, me and my buddies were estatic to try the authentic asian cuisine. You can imagine the look on our faces as we reached to grab a bite of the tilapia and the head stared back at us. “Leave while you still can ” it seemed to whisper. As I waited in the line excited to snag a bite of the seemingly delicious sushi, a drop of water fell upon my back. I copped a whiff of something otherwordly as I realized the ceiling was soaked in a grim green liquid. The smell of a petting zoo was lingering above me. The place was literally falling apart. I would sacrifice a firstborn to erase the memory of this haunted place.

Great food. Waiters and waitresses need to be on their feet more. Like clearing plates and filling sodas. Needs to be more on there toes. Some look down on the floor to ignore you

I have dined with a few Asian buffets and this one is very clean and the food is good. If it sits for a while then the food might be a bit cold for my liking so stick with the freshly brought out items.

Just to let you know about this place I give it one star, otherwise I would not give it one, the service is very bad, very bad attitude, they just want to collect their money, it is supposed to be a buffet and the trays are empty, I had to ask them to take them out for my children And the worst, very dirty, my 3-year-old girl had to wait a long time to go to the bathroom because there was only 1 available and very dirty, I tried to talk to the manager and very rudely she replied that the bathrooms are dirty because she is very busy and the prices are exaggerated at all I dont recommend this place they would just throw their money away.

Very good buffet with a fairly good price with all you can drink as well as all you can eat. They do carry a couple of American food items just in case you dont feel like testing your pallet out. Love the fact that they have Pepsi product.

Its a great restaurant. Clean, friendly people, great selection of foods. They include some American and Mexican choices on the menu. Their Sushi is fantastic. I recommend you try this place

2 adults and 2 kids $73 for potatoes and chicken go up to the fresh grill and cook says no to me lol this place has gotten worse food every time has been sitting out for to long befor they put fresh food out it’s sad doors will close before they know it. Never coming back

I am typically not a fan of Chinese Buffet. This was very good and the food much fresher than others. If I am in the area, I would definitely come back. I was there for lunch so the value was pretty good as well. They also had sushi out and that was relatively good for a buffet. They even had a couple varieties of fried rolls in addition to the typical you would see on a buffet. The overall buffet selection was vast. A lot more items than you would typically see on any buffet.

Place looks great after reopening. Larg selection. But missing two of my favorites. Maybe will have them next time. Much higher priced per person then the previous place.

Used to like the place when it was Hibachi Grill. Nothing seemed very fresh. Some stuff was so dry it was inedible. Wont be back.

Came few times. Before pandemic was pretty decent. Now- absolutely terrible.More expensive. Food old, some even spoiled, over salted, over cooked.Sushi bar os a joke.. never fresh, very few meat choices.This buffet is like has leftover foods from all other buffets..

New buffet took over the old buffet that was located here. I have to say I was very impressed. Very friendly hostess and waiters. Food was very good and replenished often. It’s much more expensive than the previous buffet our bill was $71 for a party of 4. 13 & older dinner pricing is 16.99 per person and 9:50 for the 10 yr old plus $2.25 per drink. They also still have the hibachi grill which is very popular and no more messy ice cream station they have the prepackaged deans ice cream cups. Restroom wasn’t very clean that’s why I gave 4 stars.

Very clean hygienic food! One of the best buffet restaurants! Defintitely give it a try! Their Hibachi fried rice, Lomein, Chicken satay sticks, hot spicy shrimp are simply best! Their fruits and dessert options are equally value for money

It was mediocre not horrible but not great. Mostly Chicken dishes with the same flavor undertones Most of the staff was friendly, our person was not at all friendly and rather rude.

Pre pandemic this was our go to place. This is our 1st time back and extremely disappointing. Many items had empty dishes dishes and the only items that they seem to be filling were pre cooked fried items. I did speak to a manager And there seemed to be a lack of concern. Pass..

This place used to be Hibachi Grill before the pandemic and the layout is about the same but the price is pretty steep I remember used to be $10 Maybe 15 at the most and I just ate there today and it was $20 I thought that was pretty expensive for what they had to offer theres a few things that are not there anymore or at least they werent there today like the salmon that is my favorite and they used to have a crab dish with cheese on it not sure the name of it but now they just have the crab it just seems as though theyre skipping out on a lot of things that used to make it good and it seems like I got full faster so I dont know if theres a lot of MSG in the food or not anyway live and learn I dont think Ill go back there

The first time we went there was great everything was hot and tastes really good. The second time we went wasnt that great half the food was cold. Some were overcooked like the pot stickers but other than that was pretty good

Absolutely amazing. The people that write negative reviews are the people that do not understand restaurant business or are just lazy as can be and unappreciative. To start the service is beautiful they always greet so lovingly and are happy for people to be there in their restaurant. The perspective to use business tactics here is present. They definitely serve round lake and neighboring communities while maintaining a menu which will appeal to the people that live in these communities with affordable prices (some said it was expensive if you think, it really isn’t due to inflation and what is serveFor the negative people that said the food isn’t the same as the website they are wrong. I have seen the food there but it wasn’t there the next day, which is why I asked. They rotate as many dishes as possible so the food can be a bigger variety and be as fresh as possible (when in doubt just ask instead of just writing a negative review), but they definitely have popular items such as the crab. Overall this place is amazing loving, and overall amazing to have a different restaurant in round lake instead of all the fast food. Again all these negative reviews just focus on the food or price but you can’t expect super cheap when there is inflation, you can’t expect the luxury food you all want when it is serving based on the community that surrounds it. If the people that wrote these thing want the luxurious food that gets served to them then go find it but don’t complain about the price. I will always Recommend this place to family and friends and I will continue to be a usual

Brought my daughter here for her birthday, and the food was cold over cooked and just flat out no good. Complete waste of $73

Does NOT deserve any stars. An employee dripped red sauce on my white jacket that was hanging on my chair. I know accidents happen but when you go talk to Vicki (the owner and her response is “it’s not my fault “ and then giggle about it with other family members behind the front desk. Then like that wasn’t enough, speak another language as you are still in front of them as they all look and laugh!! If I had to bet, probably 95% would be about me and/ or the situation . This is so wrong on so many levels. So wrong.The moral of this is1don’t wear a coat or jacket that has to be hung on the back of chair ( no hooks)2be bilingual.3don’t be a VICKI

The Previous Hibachi grill was the best. We xame here all the time and was never disappointed. This new Asian Grill is horrible. Fewer food choices, way lesser sea food and a lot more pricey. We came here for the 1st time and we werent happy at all. We decided to give it a second chance. Food was cold and dry. It seemed like they just refried the wings from yesterday. I hope and pray the Previous Hibachi grill comes back. Im never coming back here again. Definitely would not recommend anyone I know to come here again.

went an hour and a half before closing time . hated it it was absolutely horrid . they didn’t have the hibachi grill (no spahgetti noodles no rice no eggsnothing . they then got mad when we asked for them to put more and had an attitude about everything . they had no sushi at all the sushi bar was completely empty . the food was cold & nasty nothing tasted right why pay full price if i’m not gettjng the full service ? hated it never come here it was rancid

Food was decent but they do not have any of the seafood like they show you in the pictures on the website. There are no large crabs or anything like that or any large crab legs. Food was just mediocre nothing special. Very little Asian food

Vicki the new owner her and her family are wonderful people. They redone the whole place its now nice bright and the quality of the food is great. Very clean place even the rest rooms.I wish them great success 🙌Tom and Joe

I was excited to see the return of what I hoped was a more upscale buffet to the location of our former neighborhood cheap buffet, but left unfulfilled and genuinely puzzled as to why I had just payed 20$ to chose between sticky sweet chicken, and over cooked rubbery savory chicken.Please do yourself a favor and take your 20$ and go anywhere else. I tried over a dozen dishes including some sushi that in order to try I had to take my life in my own hands and disregard all common sense. The fish was so scary looking I didnt even try it.please just chose another location.

Welcome back Chinese buffet ! I was upset when they closed Hibatchi buffet after Covid hardship and closings. This buffet pretty much reassemble Hibatchi and has also great food selection and sushi. Our family enjoyed dinner there

This is a pretty good reboot of the Buffet restaurant that has been here for years. The food quality is just about the same as you would expect before, which is quite tasty.The restaurant itself has been redone very nicely, a refreshing new look. It is maintained clean throughout, including the seating areas and the buffet stations. The staff was all courteous and friendly.

Went here with my brother super excited for a “sushi buffet” only to be incredibly disappointed. The sushi looked old. I’ve had gas station sushi look and taste better. There were also maybe 3-4 options. Not only this, everything tasted off and I left with a stomach ache. The chicken was dry and inedible. The shrimp was unwashed, had visible dirt, and the poop line was left inside! Soup was luke warm and all the desserts had an “eggy” flavor. Horrid conditions and impossible food. The only redeeming quality was the friendly staff, but overall, not worth the $20 price tag for food you can’t even eat. Will not be coming back.

If you like variety Chinese food, you will definitely like this place. Very huge selection of meat, fruit and seafood. Lunch adult is 10.99 dinner price is 16.99 per adult which is fair enough, especially with the inflation. I will return it back again for sure.

It was a solid place. If you liked hibachi grill (what was here beforeyou will like this place. It’s close to the same thing but with some improvements. It’s just the price. 11$ for lunch is a solid price. But for dinner 16.99$ without a drink isn’t as worth it. It’s a good Chinese buffet. Clean, good staff, great front desk, and good service. If the price was a little lower I would consider it as a solid recommendation. Food is hot, and always clean which is why why I gave it a 3 star. Again if you liked hibachi grill you will like it here as it’s an updated version. Would probably come again for lunch, but not for dinner as the price is a little to high.
