Lebanese and Palestinian cuisine prepared in an open kitchen in the centre of a modern restaurant.
Very overpriced. Ordered chicken shawarma with salad. Chicken was not that tender or juicy. Bill came to £20 - for a plate of very average poorly prepared food that looked like it had just been thrown onto the plate. Service was also quite poor. And they automatically added "service charge" to the bill and then the machine asked for a tip! For doing what exactly? Taking my order and giving me a plate of food that looked like it was prepared by a 5 year old? Not sure how they can justify these silly prices.
The customer service was appalling. We waiting 30 minutes until we asked where the food was, they didnt acknowledge the late service, and no apology. They added a service charge which was not advertised and absolutely not worth charging for.We asked to seat downstairs but was told it was booked. When we did go downstairs to wash our hands, we noticed half the basement was empty. They probably didnt want us to go down there because people were drinking alcohol. Although there is no alcohol on the menu.Food portions was far too small for what we paid. The chicken was raw and pink inside, probably because we questioned where the food was so served it anyway.Just not a nice experience, we will not be returning.
Lot of vegetarian options 🌱 Loved everything on the Platter & also had the most delicious baklava ever! Thank you Mohammad. Great service and food! Will visit again soon xx
Our family of 3 have been to Hiba twice so far. Both times we had Hassan waiting on us, and he was super good, accommodating, beautiful attitude and excellent customer service. We highly recommend visiting this marvelous place to not only enjoy the delicious food and great friendly service but also the fantastic interior design and lighting and the cleanliness along with excellent prices .
Fabulous Libanese food and exceptionally friendly staff. We’ve enjoyed a broad variety of food here. All of it was nice and fresh. Good value for money.
This is the first time I went to Hiba express. I wanted to grab a quick bite on my way and this was a perfect place. Really good food and ambience ❤ I hope to visit more frequently as they have a variety of options to choose from n good service!
Delicious food in lively atmosphere. Friendly staff.
Great spot for a casual dinner. Reasonable prices. And service is swift. I enjoyed the mixed grill dish with safflower rice.
The food is so good. As a Lebanese person, this is the closest to home flavours I’ve had. Very friendly team and service. Our waiter Hassan was so attentive and kind. Always a good experience coming to Hiba
Amazing, Hassan is the best at Hiba express Holborne, really tasty food excellent Service and friendly environment. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure
Here are you all ways welcome, the food was super delicious and original it was all homemade from the bottom. Including the dips and lemonades. Characteristic and sweet staff.Great place to visit for a great meal. 🍽️⭐️
Friendly staff, and apparently very popular as we had to wait to be seated. However Id say the food is mediocre, or at least I had higher expectations based on the reviews.
Absolutely fantastic. The taste, the quantity for the price, the staff, the music, the cuteness of the place itself. SO YUMMY! Would 100% recommend
Such amazing hospitality towards myself and my pregnant colleague today! The lunch rush was so busy that we had to leave before our takeaway orders were ready. When we returned later after a meeting the staff seated us and prepared our orders, providing additional sides and drinks on the house. They were incredibly attentive to my colleague and looked after us so well. Food was delicious as well. Thank you very much!!
The best food in central London. The staff are very friendly and professional, specially Hasan, our waiter. The food was just amazing, like you are in your grandma house, but better. If i can give 10 stars i would. Thank you for the experience!
Popped in for dinner whilst on our way to a show in London it is the first time we have been there and I cannot wait to go back. The food was amazing we shared meal platter for 2 and wow there was so much food, the meat so tender salads lush everything was great service by Hassan was spot on one of my new favourite places.
Best food ever! And the staff was so lovely 🥰
Wonderful food.Huge portions.Very reasonable prices for central London. 1 soutouk wrap + 1 shish taouk wrap + 1 mixed shawarma wrap + 1 white rice + service charge = £29.08.Friendly service.Great to see the Palestinian flag proudly hanging - the world needs to be reminded of the terrible injustices the Palestinians face.
The menu provide the typical food options that you would expect at restaurants offering middle Eastern cuisine. The location is very convenient, next to Holborn street. Adequate space to sit and fairly reasonable for a place in centre of London. The food was good, we ordered a plain shawarma (not meal), grilled chicken with Taboula salad as the side and chicken Tikka with Palestinian rice as the rise. Reasonable portion and fair prices (for the centre). My only real negative is that I was billed incorrect. I feel on purpose by the staff. I had little children and a bit distracted. For the items above I was billed £52 instead should have been billed between £35-38. My mistake that I should have asked for the bill break down. Its sad that some restaurants try to take advantage of customer for a few extra quid.
We had a party in the downstairs space which was perfect. The food was unreal - Beautifully presented with a lot of attention to detail in even the plate placement. So fresh and authentic and great portion sizes. The staff were very attentive and kind. Falafel and humus was amazing. Thank you
My friend and I had such a wonderful experience here. Ive been so disappointed with the food in Central London but this place was such a lovely surprise. The service was exceptional too!
Lovely vibes, shared a great meeting with excellent food. The prices are decent and the mint lemonade is so good that it makes a visit worthwhile just in itself. And its all halal!
Lovely place. Decent food. Music too loud. Water was not cold. Good customer service. 12.5% service charge.
Thank you so much Sayeda, Mohamed and everyone at Hiba for making our day so special! We rented out the downstairs space for a private event and couldnt have asked for more - the food was absolutely delicious (we ended up ordering almost everything on the menu and it was all amazing!), and the service was impeccable. Will definitely be coming back again, and cant recommend Hiba highly enough for anyone who loves good food and even better people.
One of the best restaurants, very good food ,very good service
Perhaps a few places in Holborn than your usual McDs where you could find dinner at midnight so plus points for that. Though, be mindful that all items may not be available that late. We could not get shawarma at 11 pm. Plus one of the orders was served incorrect. The corrected order took bit of time to arrive. The kebabs were fine. The babaganoush and shish tawook were good. The hospitality was fine.
No exaggeration, but this place serves the best shawarma I had in the UK. Authentic, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and authentic, and the ambiance is very cosy and lively. To top it, they have THE BEST bags for takeaway with Handala and the map of Palestine.
Really great food here and really filling. Can get busy good service too. Prices were at the time very reasonable
Went there for a quick bite while visiting London. The atmosphere of this place is amazing. Ordered meat shawarma, meat was juicy and so tender. had one of the best shawarmas in such a long time. Fries are not the cheap kind. Real potato hand cut and fried, great taste. The hot sauce was balanced between heat and a mix of tasty ingredients.Ordered lemon mint drink. It was fresh and refreshing. Great taste.I highly recommend the place if you are shopping at Oxford center and need a boost of energy to get back to shopping.
Absolutely stunning architecture, atmosphere and Mohammed the manager, he was so polite and friendly. Felt so welcome and best customer service I have received so far. Highly recommend! And the food, so filling and definitely worth the price!
Delicious Food, good portion sizes, very filling. We had a large group and ordered varied dishes but all the food came together, the wait wasn’t very long. A special thank you to Hani for looking after us and for being very welcoming. We all had a great evening.
Had a great evening with friends. Amazing hospitality and lovely food! Took care of a very large group.
Delicious Lebanese/Palestinian food. Warm, friendly service and excellent value for central London.
Incredible spot for lunch, super friendly staff and the food was delicious. I got a fresh orange and lime juice to finish with and it hit the spot!
Amazing place with great food and the best staff ever! One of the staff members, Khaled is exceptional and went a long way to provide excellent service! Good job you guys!
I ordered the personal meal, cheese samosa, lentils soup and tea for around £23. Thé food was very good! It has a great taste and it’s fresh. The place looks clean as well and the staff are very friendly. They have nice bread (it is not very Palestinian tho but it does taste good. And watch out, their kunafeh is not Nabulsi at all, but would do the job if you just want a fairly good one). I love the neighborhood in Holborn as well. It’s 3 minutes far from the station.
Timing wasn’t great in this place at all…From waiting for a table and waiting for the food altogether was an hour… disgraceful!Wasn’t too happy with the service and cold food…Their priority is online orders more…
After buying my meal, I was told to eat outside in the rain, furthermore I did mention 3x I would like to eat in, while I watched the chef place it in a bag, then to be told to eat outside. Great packaging. Average taste
Very good Middle Easter food right at Holborn tube that’s not a chain. Inexpensive, good quality. Friendly service by guys really welcoming guys from the region. Had the Chicken Shish Taouk: juicy grilled chicken, delicious rice and wonderfully pickled cabbage salad - super healthy, tasty. The place itself could do with a freshening up.
Great portion sizes and great service. Went in for a dinner with my wife and infant son. Had the set meal for 2, the meal was massive, lots of different courses, I would even say it was a bit much for 2! The food quality was great, every dish was made well. The only thing I would recommend is to serve the dishes with some sort of sauce to compliment the meat, perhaps garlic yoghurt or something like that.
AMAZING food! Hummus super delicious and the chicken shawarma is perfectly done. We ended our lunch with kunaf, and it was sooo good. The customer service is great, everyone was helpful and awesomely chatty… By the way, it is Christmas Day, and everything is almost closed and no transportation, so we planned to walk to Hiba and it was totally worth it… thank you guys for everything 🤗 Long Live Palestine 🇵🇸
Food was flavourful but a little dry. Great portion size, as you can see we devoured our hummus and chicken dip! Service was okay...they dont speak English so clearly but they are quite attentive which is nice.
Nice fresh food, large portion and lovely mint lemonade too. Was gutted they didnt have the round pitta bread but it was fine
Was honestly the best dinner ever/my life. I celebrated my birthday with 20 guests downstairs. The food was delicious and affordable, it was BYOB which was super fun for a big group, and the service was stupendous! They made sure to help my friends bring out the cake and were bringing everything straight away. I highly highly recommend Hiba Express as a birthday destination. The set meal for 2 is just absolutely phenomenal. I cant wait to come back again!!!
Superb Food and Customer Service. Very polite and helpful staff, always smiling to the customers, gave free bread with Homous and some complementary bakhlava with mint tea.Food is very tasty and fresh and everything is priced reasonably too given this is placed in central london. Great ambience inside.
First time eating at Hiba and really enjoyed the meal. Good selection of dishes. They dont serve alcohol but you can bring your own for £2. Friendly staff made it a pleasant night out.
Very welcoming, food absolutely delicious, more of a fast food style than restaurant but you can’t knock the great atmosphere and the quality food. While the portions were not large, they were very filling and the prices very reasonable. Service not as quick as fast food but not as slow as restaurant food and served with a pleasant smile, what more could you ask. I came in with my guide dog and although there were some unpleasant remarks by some customers the staff were fantastic. Not only did we take home our leftovers but we ordered more of the lentil soup, which is just to die for. Would definitely recommend and plan to go again.
Lovely food and very well priced for central London. Very nice customer service. Certainly in the cheap and cheerful category which is a good thing. I’d say I’m an expert with Lebanese food and this place hits the spot. Enjoy!
Just had a lovely meal here with partner. Owners / staff were welcoming and very friendly. Very interested to hear about us, sorry mate I forgot to ask your name!Food was excellent. I had the lamb shawarma and my partner had the chicken. She had to take it home as portions are huge! Stuffed vine leaves and houmous were delicious. Try the fresh mint tea, really refreshing. Great good, nice atmosphere, really reasonable prices, and very lovely people. Will visit again when next in London. Thanks!
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here! We decided to pop here after being out for the day and I’m so glad we did - the food was delicious and fresh, the staff were very friendly (notably Mo who gave us free pittas to goand the atmosphere was comforting with great music. We ordered falafel as a starter, three wraps with sides for mains and two desserts and the meal ended up being less than £15 each! We will be back for sure.
