Hi Skopje Hostel in Skopje

Very rude receptionist, and not hospitable at all. The place itself is fairly new, and in a quite settlement, but expect to obey some strict rules... too strict for a hostel! Like: dont pet the dog staying in the lounge, even though the dog is begging for petting and staying in the lounge! And its a cute dog, more friendly than the receptionist. All things considered, I think they would prefer retired couples to young travellers.

The hostel has a really big garden, which makes it spacious. Owner is really friendly, he memorized my name from the very begining, which is a good attitude toward a customer/guest. Price is good. Place is close to the city center yet 45-min away from the bus station by walk. One additonal thing, it would be great if there were curtains in the bunks.

Had an a wonderful stay in a private room at the hostel. Clean, comfortable, good fan,laundry service, safe quiet neighborhood but not too far from centre. Dragan and his wife are very nice and were eagre to help out with anything we needed: recommendations, calling a taxi, bus schedules. Would highly recommend.

Looks like a family house from the outside and feels like a family home from the inside. Its most likely the hostel I felt most welcomed on any of my trips. Dragon is a perfect host. Getting there is easy, leaving is difficult cause you most likely wont want to leave. Furthermore everything is clean, tidy, the garden is nice with hammocks and a lovely dog.Thanks for giving me a great time in Skopje.

Super amazing hostel, one of the best I have had the gift of staying in. I stayed in 5 separate hostels in Skopje and you need to just go here first. It was my last as a bit further out but I wish I had gone there first. Dragan, the owner is super attentive and is always willing to help. The morning coffee is amazing and his freshly baked tarts are devine. I stayed a week andade some amazing friends. I hope to return one day😊

Awesome hostel! Dragan is a top bloke and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay.Its a clean, tidy, comfortable hostel with a chill atmosphere. Its easy to meet other guests and everyone here has been super friendly. Will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Skopje!

Everything a hostle should be! The fella running it loves his hostle and Skopje! I would recommend a few days here if not a week to explore and recharge!

Very nice hostel. We have arrived late in the evening and without reservation and the owner was friendly enough to take care of us and prepare room and arrange some food. Great place with cosy atmosphere.

warm and cozy hostel. staff was friendly and helpful. bathrooms were clean. dorm room was good.the wood stove during cold November nights was fantastic.a bit outta the way from the city centre, but the walk isn’t bad.would recommend.

The most friendly host of the whole Balkan! We had a nice stay here when doing a Skopje citytrip. The host explained a lot about the city and its highlights.

Everything from the bedrooms to the common area is cozy and clean. The hosts are amazing and can give you clear, helpful advice for experiencing Skopje. It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else during your visit to this wonderful city.

Been to this hostel 4 times and loved it every time. Mr Dragan organized a trip to the winaries and it was wonderful.And Im especially thankful for the fact that he has organized my trip to Ohrid city, which has included my transfer, hostel and excursions to monastery of Sveti Jovan, its so beautiful there.My next trip I plan to visit his other hostel in Mavrovo <3

Residential building transferred into a hostel, its weel located. 31€ for 3 person with a dog its seems ok.Common kitchen and bathroom, and the most important friendly, helpful host. Place where you can meet people from around the world.I recommend.

The owner was so helpful and made me feel right at home during my time in Skopje. A little bit outside the centre but its a nice, cosy place to come back to.

One of the mist nicest and calmest place. The owner is a great sould person wro looks cokd but trust me, he has one big soul for all.

We planned to visit this hostel and booked four mounth in advance. Today we recived a message that they have to cancel our reservation, due to a other bigger group comming. Definetly not acceptable. At least they could have offerd us a good alternativ or help us find something else. So if you book this hostel be awere that its not guranteed for you to acctually stay there.

The hostel is clean and quite, which are two very important considerations for many backpckers. But why do I take two stars away? Because, the man in charge at the hostel was very rude, his tone suggested that he was angry at me for no reason and he kept rolling his eyes over every little thing. Even though I was respectful of every hostel rule. Sorry, but there are better hostels in Skopje that are cleaner and quieter and friendly. I checked out after one day and moved to another place.

Shaky bunk bed. Not good WiFi but at least the woman at the reception was helpful and friendly.

Amazing people run this place. Great simple breakfast different everyday. Warm atmosphere, very easy to meet people due to super comfortable common areas. Tea and coffee help yourself.

I can honestly and safely say that this was our best hostel experience ever. The owners are so lovely, and went above and beyond to recommend local activities, restaurants and the best ways to get there. We had a double room which was large, with a sofa and table for our morning coffee and (delicious!breakfast. Bed was comfy and the garden is big and lovely - had a nice afternoon reading in the hammocks and can imagine it would be amazing in Summer!

Ive been travelling for a long time and this is by far in my top 3 hostels ever ❤ The owners are absolutely lovely, the house is a home away from home and the vibes are nothing but excellent. Thank you for such a good stay!

The accomodations are nothing short of fantastic for the price, with cosy and modern rooms accommodating four to seven persons. There are three toilets and two douches. Furthermore, the host is very kind and provides a typical Macedonian breakfast. He also provided helpful addresses for shopping and diner. Last but not least, wifi throughout the entire building is free and reliable. This hostel is ideal for groups from four to twenty persons.

Awesome hostel! Highly recommend this place. Really great facilities, super clean. The host is fantastic, makes you feel right at home. He arranged cabs and bus stuff for us too. Great backyard and a decent kitchen. Definitely stay here. Plus, they got a really cool dog named Zhile!

Decent hostel with friensly staff. About 15 min walk to the city center and with a friendly golden Retriever. In particular a large nice garden to sit down and a good breakfast with fruit salad!

Close to train station. Staff were very friendly and rooms were pretty good and very clean. I would recommend for sure at the affordable price.

Fantastic place with great staff (both David and his colleague). Warm welcome, great knowledge and advices about Macedonia and Skopje. Hostel is situated in quiet, residential area about 15 minutes walk from city centre, everything is clean and nice. Hostel has big and nice garden! I cant wait to visit Hi Skopje and Skopje itself in the futur

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in September. Hi Skopje Hostel is a wonderful place with great backyard where you can eat your breakfast in peace and quiet or lie down in a hammock and chill ;Staff is very nice and helpful, theyll give you instructions on how get to any place in the city. They also cooperate with bike rental firm so you can also explore Skopje by bike :Common room is very cozy with nice music. We can highly recommend this place! :)

It s exactly what young traveler need! When I come in Hi Skopje I was alone and I was moving in Beograd, I needed not just where to sleep but a sure point. They was really welcome with me and nice after check out! They have a wonderful garden with sweet dog, magic atmosphere and super hammock! Let s choose it!

phenomenal expirience...the backyard itself was enough for me to give it 5 stars...we were wondering around skopje looking for another hostel, when we accidently saw hi skopje hostel. It was 11.45 pm and david (member of the stuffwas kind enough to let us stay even though its not a regular check in time ;), he even ordered pizza for us...so excellent accomodation, excellent stuff, excellent location and peacefull backyard for chill out...anyone who visits Skopje should stay in Hi Skopje hostel..We are coming back for sure :)

nice-nice-nice. almost in center. nice garden - nice hammocknice people. nice atmosphere like at home. not nice neighbours (and policemenif u very loud. but if u quiet - they are also look nice.

The staff was really cool: they had some beers with us, arranged cabs, explained directions and listened to our stories! The accommodations are very simple: its a big old house near the center of Skopje. There are a few restaurants and grocery shops near by. The kitchen is very small and if the house is full, there will be big cues for the toilets and bathrooms.I definitely recommend it!

I stayed here with 10 friends in March 2013. The owners are great, cant do enough to help you. The place is clean and comfortable with a cosy livingroom area and free tea/coffee facilities.The location is a little out of town but its easily located and is walkable.If I go back to Skopje, I will be staying here.

Ive been to many hostels all over Europe and Hi Skopje is my favourite!Its clean and warm with beautiful enviroment really close from the city center.All the people who work there are friendly!!!I stayed for about a week and I really recommend this place to everyone who want to visit Scopje!!

Hi Skopje hostel is the place to sleep if you are in Skopje!! Ive done it and I have no regrets. The atmosphere is great, the living room is beautiful, and what about the owners... Great location, near city center.I liked that the Hostel was surronded by pine oak tress which gave a great natural feel when sitting on the balcony and having fresh roasted coffee.The beds were neat and clean. Also, the hygiene of all rooms were on high satisfactory level.People working in the hostel were nice and friendly. Also, they had good recommendation for touristic arrangements 4 hiking and bicycling.In all, I recommend the hostel to every newcomer in Skopje. Theyll have a great time.PedjaBosnia and Herzegovina

While travelling around Balkans or Europe, you will find in HiSkopje your new home, its so hard to leave this place and people working there. They will always help you to find the way, discover the city, order taxi, find a tour guide or book hostels in other cities in Europe. I forgot to add that they speak maaaany languages, so you wont have any problems to communicate :)Rooms are beautiful, warm and full of positive energy :in the morning you get a breakfest and of course unlimited tea and coffee. Whats best, you can drink it in awsome garden, where you will always find new friends :)I had great time there and wish to come back to Skopje and my Dear Friends from HiSkopje.Pozdrav Guys! :)
