Heythrop Zoological gardens in Battersea

Booked the Pygmy Hippo experience for me and my partner to do for his birthday. Hannah was brilliant throughout the booking process. The handler Aaron was super friendly and knowledgable and went out of his way to get some amazing pictures for us. Cori the hippo was super cute and warmed to us as we were feeding her which meant we were able to stroke her and give her bum and scratch. Would recommend this experience to anyone! Can’t wait to book our next one!

I did the sloth encounter and met Talita, it was such a memorable experience. The keeper was so friendly and informative, her love for the animals shone through, Talita looked so well cared for and relaxed with me making interaction with her so natural.I would highly recommend visiting Talita if like me you love Sloths.

My daughter had the sloth experience here, myself and my partner spectated. What am experience it was. My daughter was so overwhelmed, it was a day she will never forget. It was definitely worth the 9 hours round trip. Thank you

We visited today for my partners 30th Birthday and was absolutely amazed how great it was.We was looked after by Barbara who gave us plenty of time and didn’t feel rushed and also was incredibly knowledgeable. We got to see the two toed sloth Talita. She was adorable and everything we wished for!

Went to meet Talita the SLOTH today. What a great experience. She was so beautiful and graceful. Our guide Aaron was so welcoming and totally enjoyed his job. We will definitely go back. Would thoroughly recommend this experience. Worth every penny and the 2 hour drive each way. Thank you Talita 😊

My partner and I did the sloth encounter and penguin encounter. It was a really special and enjoyable experience. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and the animals are excellently cared for with plenty of space.

I booked 3 animal encounters for my partners 50th birthday and it was a day that we will never forget. The staff are so lovely and helpful and it is obvious to see that they love the animals under their care. The location is secluded and private which means there are no other visitors watching you whilst you enjoy your time with the animals, and the whole booking process was easy and very accommodating when I needed to change the date. This has been the highlight of our year so far.

Its well worth looking at the group experience rather than the encounters if you can get a group of you together. We went with 3 adults 3 children and one under 2(who wasnt included in the pricing and still had a fab time). We all had an absolute blast. Aaron was amazing. He answered all of our questions, told us all about all of their animals (some of them are famous!And we were able to get hands on. Not done anything like this before and it was the highlight of our holiday.

Aaron was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and made us feel relaxed, comfortable and safe right from the start. They take fantastic care of their animals and always put thier welfare first before everything else (as it should be)Keep up the good work guys and we look forward to a return experience soon.

I love hippos, they are my favourite. Getting to feed and stroke one was just amazing. Great knowledgeable friendly staff. I have already recommended all my friends to go. I will be back.

Very clean private collection, my wife fed the tigers, only saw a few other animals on the way in. The tigers were the cleanest best looking ones Ive ever seen in captivity and they were born there. Very professional system they have in place.

Meeting Talita the sloth was absolutely magnificent. She was very adorable and looked so happy and well cared for. We took our daughter to celebrate her 21st birthday so what better way to make a memory.. Staff was full of facts and informative words. Would recommend this experience to all sloth lovers. We will return.

Went to the sloth encounter today, taking a teenage boy who has always been mad about them.It was fantastic, he had the most amazing experience, and fulfilled a life long dream of meeting one close up, stroking one and even getting to feed her.The staff were brilliant, answered all our questions and gave us lots of information about them.Cant recommend this highly enough, it has made a young lads dreams come true!!

Fabulous experience meeting Talitia the beautiful two toed sloth today. Superb organisation and thank you to Hannah for your endless patience with the organisation for my nieces birthday

I had booked the Wolf Encounter as a surprise for my other halfs birthday. We were warmly met by Aaron at the gate who have us an intro the the venue and more information about the animals. We were also asked to wash our hands and follow a COVID protocol which was assuring. Aaron then cleaned the facilities before the next party arrived which was great!We then met Beowulf and Amil (Beowulfs handler). Beowulf gave us a warm welcome and we started the encounter. Amil and Aaron answered all our questions and gave us information about Wolves and we managed to grab some great photos. Beowulf was an absolute pleasure to meet, and Amil and Aaron were fantastic in hosting us. The encounter and venue were great and Id definitely recommend visiting!

The place (Staff teamwere Covid-19 careful, following cleaning and safety precautions well, without it feeling stressful or worrying for us. Staff are so knowledgeable, they clearly love and care for their animals. The animals are amazing. This was the best day we have had this year and would be the best day of any year! Worth every penny for such an amazing experience. If you want an animal encounter get in touch with them - it is certainly something we wont forget ❤Thank you HZG - we hope to visit you again

Friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced staff with plenty of care for their animals, their experiences are worth the money and will be memorable, its very rare to get this close to some of the animals they have

What a truly Amazing experience! Walking Beowulf today was truly incredible and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Hannah was great throughout organising everything and keeping us informed and Aaron on the day was absolutely superb with all his knowledge and anecdotes. We would love a return visit and Beowulf will forever hold a very special place in our hearts.

Great fox encounter, friendly staff and well looked after animals.

Excellent day outOnly open to the public a few days of the year usually September. Get to see many animals being trained for various activities. I have been on several occasions and always enjoyed the day. A public footpath goes close to the site and on most days camels and giraffes can be seen and on some occasions be stroked which my grand kids love. All the staff are friendly and helpful.

We did the sloth experience, would highly recommend it. She was so cute and the lady who introduced us was very knowledgeable. You get to feed the sloth too, which was lovely!

Fantastic experience. Barbara was friendly and informative and took us to see Talita the sloth. We had a great time stroking and feeding Talita and took loads of photos. All our questions were answered and we had a thoroughly memorable morning! A very special gift to mark our 3yr anniversary/early xmas present.

Just back from the MOST INCREDIBLE party at HZG.Every single detail and more thought of and covered!Magical memories made for all children and adults alike.My children were blown away whilst getting hands on with penguins, lemurs, monkeys, snakes, kangaroos and many more....all in the middle of the Cotswolds!! Can you believe it!I’m told parties are tailored perfectly to suit the child.I’m not sure you could get another party experience like this anywhere in the uk...Book this place! You won’t regret it!
