Really nice place only water its not perfect clean.

Beautiful place. So so nice.Love that you can buy ticket online, parking is 7,5 euro for full day. And that is your entrance.Place is so clean, so well maintained that I am in shok. Netherlands is clean country in general but this is another level.Water is clean and super nice for swimming. Place is super for kids small or big. They have some food kiosks. They have one nice cafe on the beach.Prices are good not so high so for 2 Coca-Cola and 2 coffee you pay 11 euro.But you can bring your food as well. You have toalets all over and well maintained.So loved this place. We will come back again.

Bahamas middle in Nederland 🙂 white send without fishs, clean water, with bar snacks sandwiches hamburgers, perfect place to take a rest.

Such places should be free to visit. The entry point was difficult to find out.

You have to pay literally for breathing in this lake (parking, entranceand they even search your bag, taking water bottles. Feels unwelcoming

Nice place, there is a cafe at the beach, they serve pancakes, some sandwiches, coffee. Also there is nice wooden ship playground for your kids

Ok, thats a nice place, but... If you want to have a bath, its not the best that you can find! Its a backwater, full of swimming happy worms!Why choose this place instead to go to the sea? Probably if you have kids its a good option, you can entertain them with a dedicated area to playThe entrance is 3euro and something...in my opinion thats a good place to visit one time, but if you want to have a good day at the beach, yeah, go to the beach 🏖️

Beautiful beach with clean sand and walking areas, turquoise water in the lake. An ideal place for a trip out of town with children of all ages. Sanitary facilities, toilet, parking available. In summer there are ice cream and snack bars. Large recreational area.

Beautiful lake with a peaceful ambiance and overview of a larger part of the environment.Not long ago, entry into the lake was free of charge. But, I was a bit disappointed that today the 11th of September, which is out of season, that an entry fee of €2,50 had to be paid to be allowed entry into the lake area. I thought that the lake area was unusually empty of people as a consequence of this entry fee even during out of season.I have never seen this lake area this empty of people!!!

Heavenly...It was worth driving 50 kms to discover this hidden beauty. By far, the best recreational area Ive been in NL. Good for walking, swimming and relaxing.

You can drive without notice inside for free and then you are trapped to pay otherwise you cant leave. Signs are not clear and everything is online no paybooths or anything

Nice place to stay. If you walk around the lake, theres a lot of space an can be quite calm actually!

Despite the Covid19 epidemic this place is full of people. The website says there is a limited number of available tickets. I just cant imagine how crowded it would be without the limits.Nevertheless a nice place to spend a summer day with children. The water is relatively shallow (up to 2,2mand the sand really soft and clean.

Beautiful lake to swim and walk around enough space for everyone to have your own space. You do have to pay to get in but the price is worth it. Its about 45 min drive from Amsterdam so if you have a car its a great alternative to the beach. Parking is €7,- for a day card. They have a ice-cream shop with really nice ice-cream not a lot of options but very yummie. They have a little food truck that sells hot dogs vega and normal. Plus theres a little bar in the end with a terrace to sit and eat.

They could do more for controlling the douchebags that park so bad you cannot use the next parking slot or even using 2, which are surprisingly many. Otherwise is a nice place.

Inner city lake/beach surrounded by woodland. Its best as full day experience to get the full value. Entrance price is based on parking and per person. If your close by, take the bike to save on the parking fee. Toilet are available! Take a picnic. Can be crowded.

Beautiful area in the woods. Great place for a walk or swim. The water in the lake is rather shallow (about 1.5m), so you can stand almost everywhere with your head above water. This does make the water a little warm at times which some may not like. Can be a little crowded and has many kids running/swimming around, but usually you can find a somewhat quiet area. Parking fees + entrance fees are always an unwelcome surprise, but it remains very affordable (if I remember correctly 7 euro for a day-pass including parking. Not many foodstands/trucks, so if you stay for a long time bring your own food: its a perfect place to have a picnic.

Nice, but has become less atractive since you must to pay to enter although it has always been for free to swim there. And it aint cheap either

It was good as always: shores clean, water good fun for children. Couple of things to keep in mind: bring you own food and drinks. Facilities are limited. And since spring 2019 not only parking, but access to the water is paid as well.

A nice place to relax with your family and children. Its more of a family chill spot. I am now sure about other day i went on a sunday

Nice lake area with sandy beach and grass lawn to relax on. Multiple food vendors and also multiple play areas (for kids or in general). Not too busy when we were there. Paid parking, but when we can by motorcycle it was free for us.

An absolute oasis! Great place to spend a day with the family. The temperature of the water is warmer than a usual recreation pond. Sandy beach is huge and there is also a grass area if you dont like sand. Facilities include toilets, showers (only cold), snacks and ice cream. Parking is very easy, as they have installed a new system last year, you dont need a parking ticket. On warm days it is a hassle to find a parking spot though. As per June 2018 the entrance is free, but it seems like it is not going to stay this way.

This is a beautiful lake. It was almost deserted in late March but still super beautiful! However, the water does not look clean at all. I would never swim here!

Lovely little place to hang out both in summer and winter. Its surrounded by forrest. And the little lake itself is surrounded by beach. So in the summer its great for getting a tan. Sometimes in the winter you can iceskate.

Hemschotermeer is a beautiful place to cool down and enjoy the hot summer. It looks like something you would only find in an exotic country. To be convinced just look at the many photos.The entrance is free of charge if you go by bike. If you go by car you have to pay parking costs. They are working on a face recognition system to charge visitors. Luckily there are so many issues with this system that it is not yet active.The place has many toilets and showers. These are clean but close early (18:00 or 19:00).There is also a mobile ice cream and fries van if you get hungry.As this place is in the forest and the weather has been unusually hot for a long period, there are many bugs that might make your stay not so comfortable. So please choose your place wisely.

Its down on maintenance, once all toilets are closed apparently for a long time, but it is a nice place. 3€/hour or 10€/day for who brings the car. Several bars and ice-cream vans in the place already in the beginning of June

I came here three times. Mostly it was very nice. In the weekend its very very busy and difficult to find parking. Parking can be rather far from the beach. Today (May 2018we saw small innocuous blood suckers in the shadows. The gentlemen who was collecting some specimens for the record, said that they feed on tiny larvae or snails and cant rupture human skin. However, I found their presence off-putting and I dont think Ill come again.

Wonderful recreational place. Nice big beach and round lake that goes gradually deep. Pretty good for kids to play in the low water. The forest around is pretty nice and big and it allows for some nice walks or bike rides. It can be pretty busy during summer holiday season though

Beautiful lake. During summertime you can spend time with friends to swim or have fun with kids. During winter it is a great place to fly with drones

One of the Netherlands best outdoor natural lakes, perfect for swimming and SO beautiful! There are toilets and facilities and ice-cream and fries, a beach and shady forest spots. Lots of fun for kids too - pretty perfect. ;)On a hot day: you might get stuck in the queue for the parking spots if you arrive by car around midday. Either take a bicycle, or arrive around 3.
