Other amenities include a private beach, an outdoor pool and a gym, plus a spa with an indoor pool and a hammam.
it used to be a great hotel. Now it is just average.average food (was great before they changed the chef).average service.average room.very pricey for what you get.nnot vegan friendly.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. The staff is pleasant. The beach, facilities, cuisine are worthy of five stars. My only complaint is the lack of sufficient parking and the difficulty with handling luggage upon arrival and departure.
The best service we ever had in hotels in Israel! The staff is friendly and very professional.
NOTHING like it in the world...Must wear shoes when entering the very rough and rocky (saltwater..Wash oil off after floating (there is a public shower there )
Great location, clean room, stunning dead sea view. This was our second time at the hotel. A year ago our stay was amazing : everything was at the highest level. To our greatest regret, this time there was a decrease in the level in everything except the cleanliness. It concerns the meal selection for breakfast and dinner and maintenance. In our opinion, this expensive hotel should strive to rise the level and not lower it. For example: smell is not allowed in locker rooms, the lift for disabled in the dead sea hot water pool must work 24/7 and pool lifeguard should be able to turn it on, ice machine in the pool should be renewed. Pool lifeguard must be polite and keep order.
Location on the beach, excellent food and service in the restaurant
The staff was very kind and helpful. Food was great, with a wide variety - including vegan options. The spa has all the facilities you would expect.
Overpriced Spa and massages not great, girl called me asking to get paid when we paid in front, massage was not professional, I was for many yrs she never touched my neck, and was very robotic. Money based not caring about person. Dead sea is great, spa is not
Great place to chill and relaxHave a good spa and foodDefinitely coming back
The hotel was beautiful and clean. Service was great and food as well. Definitely recommend!
Great room on the 2nd floor. Clean.Good service. Very polite staff.
The best hotel there is! The service and variety that the hotel offers is simply perfect! Highly recommend
We had a fun day that my wife had organized for my birthday. From the first moment the terrible service was clear to us.Spa area had no water/refreshments, masseurs were very rude and not welcoming, we were given false information about lobby bar serving time, waited over 40 minutes for a pizza in the pool bar, lunch was disgusting, and the host at the hotel restaurant didnt even consider our request to lift the curtain so we can enjoy the view. And that without even trying the rooms.Stay away of this hotel!
The hotel was very nice. The food is always good. The room is as clean. The pool was very clean and clear and the plus was that the Dead Sea was right by the hotel. I would give the hotel 5 stars but the hotel feeds an uplift/upgrade in its infrastructure and The parking which is public was terrible. But otherwise it’s one of the best hotels on the Dead Sea strip
Best place to disconnect from the city.No need to go out its all there, fully equiped just to make you fill your vacation
The service and attention to detail was superb. From the moment I arrived I received excellent attention from the the team at the hotel (especially Daniel!and was made to feel like I was the most important guest they had.The amenities, service, food and accommodation were excellent and a credit to the team at the hotelI only have two minor negatives. The first, which seems to be endemic to all hotels in Israel, is the lack of parking - providing a parking space per room (or the facilities to handle the overflowwould seem to be a basic requirement. The specific room I had was next to the house keeping storage which meant an early wake up call :-(
Great service, tasty food , very clean , pleasant atmosphere , high standard quality .. the best hotel in Dead Sea for families and couples..
Amazing food! very nice room and lovely pool area. My only negative point is that the pool area was closed at 6:30pm and there was nowhere else to sit outdoors.
We spent three days in the hotel and had a great time. The location is amazing, right on the Dead Sea with a straight access, awsome pool, we had a great Israeli buffet breakfast but what really made the difference was the service. the staff was super friendly. from check in to check out we had great experience. id like to mention Roy, who really helped us when we left a jewelry at the room. we only discovered it when we left the Dead Sea and he, and the hotel management made al the arrangements to deliver it to my location in Tel Aviv. ill defiantly stay at this hotel again.
The best hotel in dead sea area, great rooms, excellent services!!!
We came here with a group and the location was chosen by the travel agency. We had shade, drinks, music and mud! Very relaxing. Bathrooms were a little crowded however
A highly recommended, and wonderful place for relaxation, with great Spa treatments and service.
Im calling the reservation center for the third time. This time Im on hold for over 10 minutes, as I have been twice before. Nobody picks up the phone. The music that is being played is extremely obnoxious. I doubt that I can reach someone today to ask about my reservation. Annoying is an understatement
If you can go elsewhere. The room we stayed in was dated, rust all over the shower area and the AC kept shutting down while it is over 100* outside. When asked for an upgrade for a full fee was told their are sold out while our friends who had two regular rooms booked and checked in an hour later were upgraded at no extra charge for two rooms since they refused to stay, same for parking which simply doesnt exist unless you are willing to park over a mile away, once again it took two days of complaining to receive an access to reserved parking? The dining room staff was great as well as the food but far from a five star rating they post. Stayed in other fiver star hotels in Israel during the last two weeks, the experience here was the worth.
Dry in dessert, 2 small water bottles in the first day. Later u need to pay. Look like the management find really how to make the "big money"
Perfect place. First sea line hotel. Personal sweaming pool. Good food in meat room.Very good service.
We spent one night in the middle of the week. Was excellent! Room in clean and well-maintained, shower is great, the indoors salty water heated pool is great, as well as the other spa facilities. The wonderful beach is very close and easily accessible, and the breakfast is amazing! The possibility to stay at the spa and beach after check-out is the best. We had great and relaxed time.
Great food. Great spa. Right next to the beach. Great service. We came for the day and the only thing I regret is that we didn’t come earlier.
The stuff are very polite and welcoming. The facilities are great. The beach is organize perfectly. We will be back for sure.
A nice pretty isolated from other hotels. Good service. The hotel located on the water front and the beach is about 50m from the hotel. Pool is nice, food was good
We have been to many of Fattals hotel and this time, at Herods was the best among them all.The public environment is clean, the lobby looks great and cozy and the kitchen is perfect, the food is top notch. The staff is very friendly and willing to help and do the extra mile for you.10/10 would visit again.
One of the newer hotels in the area. The lunch buffet is sumptuous as it is in most of the hotels along the Dead Sea. The hotel has nice spas and shaded outdoor areas.
For the price you pay, the attitude from service and management is terrible. No one cares to help you with anything. I had a cut and asked for Vaseline so I dont burn in the dead sea, the staff said "I dont have Vaseline Im not a doctor". I asked for a simple direction to a local attraction, the staff said "why dont you look on google". I had to wait 3 hours to check in. The upgraded room is nothing special at all, they just give you cheap chocolate and a tiny bottle of very cheap wine. The food is garbage. It looks fancy and there is a lot of it, but the taste and quality is some of the worst food I had in Israel. They crowd the spa with hundreds of people, large tour groups that make it impossible to enjoy the ameneties. I complained to the manager, Roy, and he just asked me to leave a 5 star review anyway, to "help him improve". I cant leave a 5 star review with a clear conscience.
We were here for a spa day for 3 people and LOVED IT!! The massage was 1 hour and it was one of the bests Ive ever had!! (thank you David). The workers all around the hotel were very nice and helpful. The food was good and fresh, there is an exit to the beach. Everything just great to spend the day
I ordered a 2 nights stay for my wifes birthday (Feb 18 through 20). Prior to our arrival I contacted the reception through WhatsApp and asked them to make special "birthday" arrangements in our room (balloons and small assortment of fruits). When we arrived the room was not ready at all: there were no robes, no slippers and of course no balloons or fruits. Lucky for us the cleaning crew was still in the hallway, so we got the robes and slippers from them. I contacted reception again and was promised that the balloons and fruits will be delivered the next day, Feb 19 (the actual birthday date), by 12:00. We returned to our room at 15:00 and no, there were no balloons or fruits. They were finally delivered by 15:30, which was 3.5 hours late then was promised. When we checked out, I was charged the full price with no discount whatsoever for the late and ruined delivery. In short: this hotel is not worth its 5 stars.
SPA: 1 small (for ~3 peoplehot sauna...Dinner: A lot of food but nothing was tasty...Room: Weve asked for one king size bed, but got two separeted beds - very unconfortale mattress...Id not rated this hotel as 5 stars hotel...Standard breakfast...
Nice hotel. Facilities are a bit old. Service, rooms and the pool are pleasant. The hal board meals were beer tasty. Overall we were pleased.
This hotel is one of the best in the dead sea area. Very helpful staff and great service. The free breakfast was amazing. Even after checkout we were able to stay beside the pool and swim. Very recommended.
An older hotel that was renovated. Staff are excellent, rooms can feel a bit old design wise, but are comfortable. Hotel has issues with maintenance, especially in the hallways.
Amazing hotel and more amazing staff! employees are great and always making sure youre satisfied. Very welcoming and food is great!well be back for sure! Thank you for perfect vacation
The service from the reception, to room service, house keeping and in the restaurant was excellent. The receptionist was patient explaining and answering all our questions. Obviously the view was breathtaking as always at the dead sea and the room we had on the bottom floor (-2was perfect with a big patio and our own swimming pool + only 50 meters from the sea.We had to cancel 1 night for personal reasons snd the hotel staff and booking.com did everything they could to get us a refund. Thanks to all for your help.
Don’t go there !Our shower was dirty with a huge amount of hair, when we asked for a cleaner to come and clean it, he cleaned everything except the hair, we called him again accompanied by a manager and only then he clean. At a time like this with corona disease I would expect to take care of careful cleaning.
Thanks for nice vacationAll was excellentVery friendly Reception personnel and Natasha took care about our accommodation was a very professional and all our request solved at onceRestaurant personnel very friendly, food excellent and tastyRoomclean, beach nice ( ijust shadow area at sea level should be upgraded )Faithfully yoursBazilevski Victor
Not sure how this hotel got 5 stars, old facilities, some staff professional and good, some deserve 0 rating and should participate in customer service workshop especially the front desk / guest services.Food indeed good, pool is okay, but rooms need immediate renovations.
My sister and I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. It was amazing experience . The hosts are very nice and welcoming! The room is clean and big with the nice view, right on the dead sea. We included only breakfast and the choice of the food was unbelievable!
Great 5 stars hotel that have everything.Private beach is reachable in 2 minutes walk from the pool. The view is lovely. The staff are great. There are nice events in the lobby in the evenings. The room is tidy, clean and has everything.Great place to visit dead sea.
Was clean and fun. The adult pool, kid pool and dead sea pool were clean and well maintained. The food was good and there was plenty of selection for breakfast and dinner. However adding lunch at the hotel was quite costly, the selection wasn considerably smaller and not as fresh as breakfast and dinner. The people working at the hotel were friendly and kind. The first day we arrived after lunch closed, and I inquired if I could take a bread roll for my two kids, not only did they give a roll, a few minutes later the of the lunch service came running after us with schnitzel for my two.The hotel has a beach on the dead sea.Overall a fun stay.
Read before you book! This was a pretty expensive stay as we upgraded to the best room (Jacuzzi and a viewand booked three meals a day (theres no where to eat around the Dead Sea area, especially on the weekend). Needless to say we were expecting a high-end hotel...- As far as the facilities, it was good. The in-room Jacuzzi was a good upgrade, although dont expect privacy as all the rooms above it have a view to your terrace. The private beach is also worth the money and the pool amenities were just ok (Theres one dry sauna for everyone so expect a line and the wet sauna wasnt working).- Food: on weekends in Israel you get a pretty bad deal because hotel kitchens are kosher, hence they dont cook on Shabat and the food is pretty bad. Thats why we came on a weekday and the food was terrible. The steak was chewy, the shakshuka was literally spoiled (the tomato sauce was old and sourand we saw mold on the avocados (the fury kind that has a life of its own). Not worth your money. Go with breakfast and think of other options for the rest.- Service and cleaning: plates from room service on the floor for 2 days straight, no good service in the dining hall, we asked for a pair of slippers (the disposable kindand I was referred to the store to buy some... Only when I came back after the store was closed they agreed to send a pair to the room. The place looks pretty old and run down (also because its humid and salty in the air and you can see the effect on the placebut I solving a problem of birds inside the dining room seems like something urgent, yet no one bothered...- Covid regulation: overall it was clean in that area, and they keep the rules of wearing a mask and even make you put gloves for the buffet style service, but the dining room is over crowded.Bottom line: not for this price. A simple room in Kibuts Ein Gedi cost way less and gives you the same vibe.
Very nice hotel with its own beach.Very easy to get to by bus.Meals are excellent. The indoor heated dead sea water pool is great. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The only issues that I had were:1. Bottles of water were only given on my first day. When asking for more, I was told that they had run out. I stayed for 4 nights.2. Whoever answers guest services from the room phone told me that I need to pay an extra 10 shekels for a sachet of coffee (which had not been topped up when cleaning the room). When going to reception, they sent up for free.3. Requests from the Fattal Welcome app do not work.4. The shop in the hotel was closed most of my stay.
Good hotel, clean rooms with pleasant interior. Not big but clean pool. Quite atmosphere. Really relaxing massage. Spa was closed because of corona. Tasty food, similar to other big hotels in Israel. Not enough beach chairs near the sea. Small parking near the hotel - if you find the free spot at the weekend you are lucky.
