Heritage Park in Dana Point

Beautiful place for just watching the clouds go by or dog walking.Absolutely a must see if you’re in the area!

What a nice park. Easy free parking, great access. Dog park is not much but is available. Lots of families. Great shade spots. The views of the harbor and ocean are beautiful. My one complaint would be the kids on electric bikes , especially the damage they due to the grass areas and the recklessness around dogs.

Wonderful dog-friendly park with ramps as well as staircases for all the elevation changes. Great grass for the pups and lovely harbor views! ⛵️☀️

Awesome view over the bay and harbor. Great spot to stop and take a break. Parking is limited. There is yoga in the park and a very family oriented environment. Lovely flowers and hedges.

Gorgeous views in a convenient location thats not inundated with tourists.

Good workout if you want to take the stairs to the very top. A ramp for those too that prefer to take this route. Well worth it once you see the view from the top.

Spent a great afternoon with my kids. Picnic, Frisbee and other games. Very clean and kept park.

When you need a 5 minute breather. Day or night time views here simply amazing. Big enough park for your dog to run around when its not crowded while you snap away Kewl pictures ❤🙏

Beautiful views but Dog Park is all dirt, full of large pot holes and NO water for dogs or people!

Its a beautiful Park its clean, serene, great place for dog walking, sightseeing, sunset sunrises it looks over Dana harbor and its just a completely beautiful Vista. One of my favorite places in Southern California

This park is so amazing! Great views, family fun.Very dog friendly, with a dog run. The views are amazing, best sunrises, and sunsets.

I dont know if you guys remember the slip and slide or where you can even get them these days but if you got one in storage or you know where to buy one grab one quick man because this park is the black diamond of slip and slide heaven. Add in a world-class view of the Dana point harbor and you got yourself a pretty good day.

Beautiful scenery, great views, park layout is well thought out and other visitors were respectful and kind.

Secret local spot for early morning sunrise workouts and walking dogs. On the lower meadow they have a fenced-in dog area that has an amazing view of the harbor from the surrounding benches. Most of the morning traffic that youll run into are people getting their fit on. Sunsets here are ridiculous at the upper meadow where they have an Outlook that has a view stretching out from Dana point all the way over the San Clemente Pier. Get there at sunset on a cloudy day and watch the sky light up in majestic purple and orange colors... Dana point definitely knows how to do parks!

Beautiful park!! There is a longer, meandering trail or a more straight forward stair path. Each level up gets you a better view. Benches on the upper level. Park on the lower level near the harbor, (where I also found public restroomsor on the upper level in the neighborhood.Small grassy dog fun zone.*Photo is of the cross streets for parking on the upper level- google maps didnt get me there.

Enjoy hilltop peekaboo and panoramic views of Dana Point and San Clemente while visiting this park! The grounds are beautifully green with many trees providing shade, large lawns for outdoor activities/picnics, and a meandering walking path with amazing ocean views. This is a great spot to watch the sunrise and sunset, have a picnic, take a walk, or just lay out in the sun. This park is perched on top of a hill/cliffside so its perfect for steep incline workouts. There are no bathrooms, so plan accordingly. There are a few public parking spots avaliable at the top of the park and also residential street parking. You can also access it from down by the marina area where youll find a staircase going up to the park.

Great steps for some intense “short burst” exercise with the pay off being some amazing views of the harbor. The standout to me are the amazing trees. Huge and verdant. Beautiful little park and perfect for a Sunday morning jaunt with my wife.

You will break a small sweat getting to this park but the view when your up there is amazing. Really good spot to fly a kite or have a picnic. At the top it will lead you to some other costal view trail. Very clean park not that crowded.

Nice views with lots of benches if you dont want to walk far to see a spectacular view. There are a few parking spots and the rest is street parking. Enjoy a stroll with your doggie friends!

I like this park not only for the open spaces but also because it can be used a pivot point for the Dana Point Harbor or Strand Beach. Great place to get some exercise on the stair walkway or chill out on the grass. Bring sunscreen and covering, you will get alot of direct sun. The park is busy on the weekends, weddings and events at Doris Walker Lookout so be mindful if you expect to enjoy by yourself. There is small dog park near the bottom of the park.

Beautiful place to get married!

My niece was married here. View is pretty but can it really be called a park when there are no restroom facilities for our guests? We were told we could drive up to the gas station - really? Gross ☹️

It is most visited by us park in general. We first start going over 11 years ago when we were looking for my daughter venue for ceremony. It is our favorite place to spend some time and bring our dog.

Great Park. really good place to roll down hills. there is a cool crow that lives here, and a view of the ocean. sometimes there are weddings here. you can park at the top of the hill and there is a nice sidewalk. overall bring a sense of amazement cuz youre going to need it

Went here to scout out a place for a wedding ceremony. Its got a great view and the area for the ceremony provides enough room for our seating while providing privacy from random people at the park. Rental price is super cheap too.

Good place to go kite flying when the winds pick up, its all.down hill.so.sometimes you just let it go and let it fly! Good views, good place to exercise if you run uphill. Picknick, sometimes they have events going on up here!

There are great vistas of the beach and ocean but the park itself is just another park. It is dog friendly and there are a fair amount of people who jog/walk, excersize. There are stairs to take to the top or even a side mini trail. There are some benches and some areas are shaded by trees. Its lovely but nothing that is incredibly outstanding from most similar neighborhood parks.

Wonderful place to walk and take your dog, right along the hillside overlooking the harbor.

This is one of my favorite parks. Great location to view the harbor and also take your dog for some exercise in the designated play area.
