Heritage Park - Park and Garden in Smyrna, United States
The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The park was just quiet enough to be enjoyable.
This park is totally sweet. Clay bottom river and mill ruins, and to top it off, its connected to the Silver Comet!
Love this place. It’s a small trailhead as a spur to the Silver Comet Trail
Very nice, peaceful, nice trails, had some amazing times here, every trip is full of surprises and fun times.. love it
Great walking park/trail with plenty of space and changing scenery. Very nice.
Nice outdoor meeting placewith bathroom and walk trail
This is a very nice place to hike and meditate.
Fun, nice for a long walk, jogging or even biking. Expect some pesky humidity, specially during the morning and hot days
Man ..sooo... I went here to look for the old Cotton mill... I love old ruins.. amazing.. just be prepared to walk about 45mins.. but its worth the walk...
No vengan aqui!!! DO NOT come here. Cars get broken in since it’s a very isolated place not many people come here so it’s easy to get robbed and kidnapped as well. My car got broken in recently and luckily nothing of value was taken.
Really nice trail with beautiful views of the stream. Its a pretty easy grade, so its accessible to strollers and young kids as well. It also connects to the silver comet if you want a longer run
Small and short trail for walking. Not a hiking trail for those who understand what it means to hike but it’s nice to enjoy a leisurely stroll with your family, friends, or by yourself.
A very low key park. Has a nice trail that connects to the silver comet trail. Has bathrooms and a couple tables if you need to set up for food.
Open 24/7 clean bathrooma lots of parking close to everything and hidden from view of traffic. Quiet peaceful. Walking trails with stream.
Great walking trail that connects to the Silver Comet trail. Runs along Nickajack Creek and has some old Cotton Mill ruins originally constructed in the 1800s.Not 100%, but I think the trail.is about 3-5 miles.
Got there towards dusk. Next time will arrive earlier to explore more of the trail. Combination of woodsy trail, boardwalk, grass. Not macadamia. Peaceful
Beautiful park with wooded hiking trail, offers plenty of shade along the water. Be sure to bring insect repellent, the mosquitoes can be pretty terrible. The trail can be rather muddy after it rains, but the beautiful views are worth it!
Not a fan of this park. It’s isolated and very woodsy - no paved areas. I walked this trail with a friend and would not walk alone. I prefer the Silver Comet Trail.
I love to go for runs and walks here. It’s a dirt trail that connects to comet trail. Most of the trail runs along side a small creek and it’s shaded by trees.
Go here if you want your car broken into. Parking lot is poorly lit (more like no lights). Good target for thieves when night falls. Just had this happen in March 2021. Beware.
Beautiful walk. Not busy when I went. Wish people would clean up after their dogs.
Nice, flat 3 mile round trip walk in Smyrna. The covered bridge is still in active vehicular use.Id recommend arriving early in the day if you want more quiet. Parking fills up quickly here.
My son and I walk here often. We love the water and the nature is very beautiful.
beautiful trail that is not too busy - kind of a hidden gem. somewhat close to the road but the trees do a good job blocking it out. great for a nice walk or a trail run!
Great scenic hike with an excellent audio tour app. Great way to spend an afternoon!
Decent trail not a ton to see though.
I love to come here for a quiet mid-afternoon walk (minus the noise from the road at one point along the trail). I like to walk this trail up to where it connects to the Silver Comet Trail and jog the paved trail back to my car. Its definitely a hidden gem.
The trail is almost 2 miles long and ends on the Silver Comet Trail. We would like to note that it was very slippery due to the possibility of rain from a previous day. Their are a few other minor cosmetic updates I would like made but nothing that disrupted what the trail is intended for.
Very nice trail through the woods. Was muddy the day we went but still a nice relaxing walk. The creek water is pretty and you can really be at piece during your walk.
Great park with natural trails and boardwalk over the wetland area. Quiet and scenic, trails are well canopied so it stays rather shady. Lots of trees and greenery to enjoy, and the trail parallels Nickajack Creek. Leave the sunscreen, but wear your bug spray!
Skip the stroller on this one. The path down to the boardwalk is bumpy, full of roots and sometimes a but muddy. After that is the very well maintained boardwalk, no nails sticking out or rotten boards. Ive never seen it crowded. Toilets available. Weve been watching butterflies, bees and turtles. Vegetation is mostly green, not many blossoming flowers. Relaxing
Gravel and dirt trail that runs along a creek with an mill ruins and connects to the silver comet trail. I only gave it 3 stars because as others said it can be extremely muddy (if there has been recent ran). Other than the mud which makes the trail slippery we enjoyed our stroll.
This is a gorgeous park with an elevated boardwalk to start off with which leads to a bigger trail through dense trees. It’s narrow so I’m not sure if strollers would fit but it’s perfect for the whole family (including petsto walk through.
We parked on the Silver Comet Trail and walked there. The trails are beautiful.
Hidden gem. If other local basketball courts or tennis courts are full here is your park. Pretty shaded during certain parts of the day. Surprised that I found a playground and two baseball fields here s as well. It is very quiet and seem shady if your the kind of person who watches for other people who hang out in their car. I find if I mindfully but not nosey its great place.
This is a great walkable short trail but you should wear proper footwear for rocks, roots, and grading. Park at the restroom area and then you can walk the loop. Not suggested for scorching hot days but the path is, in fact, mostly shaded. A good path that intersects eventually with the beltway but this trail is narrow. Ive seen families with strollers on the dirt path portion but I would avoid this. Your pets should be leashed and cleaned up after and because of close quarters any aggressive dogs should be left at home. Also, since much of the path runs along side, and below, the East-West Connector, dont expect allot of quiet-you will hear the car noise.
Great hike! A very pretty and well kept park. It offers a nice tranquil hike that’s about 2 miles round trip. It’s a very easy hike not much skill required. You get a nice view of a creek and some old mill ruins. I enjoy coming here!
Nice 2.5mi walk/run. Can be kind of muddy but well maintained and easy for all ages. Pull some invasive plants while youre at it!
Great walk good w stroller. Only thing TAKE BUG SPRAY!! Learn my lesson lol
I love this place. Nice to walk, run, even read.
Easy walk, but it has some cool things to photograph
Heritage Park is a nature trail rather than a traditional park. Most of it runs along Nickajack Creek, which makes the trail a very scenic hike. The trail is not very long at just under 2 miles but it does connect up directly with the Silver Comet Trail for those looking to do a longer walk. There are some historic stone building ruins that add some nice scenery near the connector to the Silver Comet.Be aware that other than a raised wooden bridge section near the front, the trail is mostly natural dirt and rock and not stroller friendly. Great for dogs though, smooth enough for runners if you watch your footing. Mobile connectivity in different parts of the trail is a little spotty in places but generally fine overall.
Great place for a little walk in the woods. There is a historic mill structure and i hear there is a historic cemetery but i havent seen it. The trail ends at the historic concord covered bridge.
My partner and I love walking here every season of the year. Its never been crowded. You can walk or jog for a short time or make it a longer work out. There are amazing wildflowers to look at. It also connects to the Silver Comet trail. There are benches to sit on spread along the trail as well.
This was a nice path. No inclines, but the path was flat, some board walk. There were sewer man hole up to 3 feet high. Not ask me why. Never saw anything like that
Loved it! I droves to Heritage Park to find a trail for an easy run. I ran this trail easily for my recovery run. The distance was not too long or difficult. It was a plain dirt trail on the most part. There was a Long bridge that was built in a brushy area. I really liked the switch back trail I ran down coming back. There were also some interesting ruin near the end. Do you want to run further? Continue past the end of the trail. It connects to Silver Comet Trail.
Nice hikes, good upkeep, perfect for kids over 5. At the end you get to the ruins.
Enjoyful place. Relaxing. Really good hike
Great place for a quick or long walk as well as runs on the trails. There is easy access to the river bed / creek, which is my favorite part. You can hammock and nap alongside the creek and feel very secluded off. Would definitely recommend to visit alone or with a small group of people.
Great walking experience, but dont forget your mosquito repellent.
