Heritage Park in Buena Park

Been coming here since I was a kid and ofcourse when I became a mom I started bring mine. We love it and enjoy. Always a beautiful park.

Its really cool and scenic and you can learn and play and they have the most turtles Ive seen at a park lol.

A great meeting and melding place with a slice of Americana Art!I enjoy stopping by here along the way from work, as this place is good for bringing prepared food to eat at one of the many picnic tables, doing a quick stretch and workout and to meet friends for a game of field sports or basketball. Team sports will often involve incoming groups and fans as well.The park can accommodate organizations, family and company picnics, the likes of whom may also utilize the park for all there is to offer!There’s a front office with attached restrooms and a larger restroom on the backside, near Arabella Street.The Americana Art is unique to see in any city park, tho here the replica buildings and deck areas double as offering small gathering spots and of the play island, playhouse features! The usual park playgrounds are also available outside the pond.Turtles and waterfowl can be seen all around the pond, by the island. I had to watch my step along the way!There’s covered bridge crossings, waterfalls and a little ship, where imaginations run wild, without ever leaving the port!The landscape with its features makes an excellent backdrop for photos. Whether to top off a get-together, or for special occasion photography, the choice of convenient locations could hardly be better!The parking lot is available for a sizable presence, with an additional lot and street-side parking along Arabella Street.My only negative here is the lack of natural shade tree cover away from the main parking lot. Then again, that could benefit the picture taking, with the tradeoff of more even brightness to capture the people, and with the created island and pond, fulfilling my need for naturalness, in a better light!

It was so beautiful watching a Quincera. The children running around laughing and playing. It was a pure sight to see. I wish to visit this park many times again.

Giant playhouse!I felt like Im at Disney exploring the exhibit, being a captain of the ship lolFun for big and small people, even the animals.

Had my first birthday party here in 1991. Its been about 25 years since Ive been here. I recently took my girlfriends kids here, they loved it as much as I did in the early 90s! very nostalgic to see them play in the buildings, on the pirate ship, spiral staircase, playground and on the island, although there has been some remodeling its pretty much the same place it used to be. Place has always been special to me.

Probably best Park here in Artesia and Cerritos Area perfect for unwinding safe too I guess cause the Police Station is just a block away.Picnic area is cool

Im all about heritage, heck Im even Latino but the quinceanera events here are getting out of hand. I try to take the family there Saturdays only to be met with people blocking every path. Ive lived here a couple years now and finally got around to this rating after my 7 year old that was playing was told in a disrespectful way to move. He wasnt being loud or running but just because he was standing there looking at a duck they felt they could do this. This is a public space and that was the last straw. This is going straight to the city council.

Remarkable park. This would create magical memories for anyone, but especially young children. You should definitely check it out.

I remember coming to this park growing up and being able to run around the whole place not really having to worry about anything other than of course taking turns with other kids. Now I bring my kids here on a weekend and you have to constantly watch out for people taking professional pictures for quincenera, prom, weddings so the park seems like its mostly for that. People taking pics arent really considerate of the kids who the park is meant for and block walk ways. Today there are five big groups of ppl. Will look for a different park for my kids to enjoy and it stinks because they have so many unique features *for kids*

Beautiful park. The Mallard ducks, turtles and swans are thriving and there is a play pirate ship and little play town. I had a birthday party here and it was so much fun for the kids!

Its a really nice park a place where kids can definitely let there imagination run wild!! But parents be sure to take a canopy for shade!! The park has minimal shade you really have to look for it its a park that has alot of sun!

Nice big park. Lots of areas for kids to play. Could have been better had there been more shaded areas. It gets too hot during peak summer.

This park has a beautiful environment. The grassland is green, big and beautiful. The game guide in the middle is very popular with children. There are many bridges, slides, castles and some in the game island. Children can play games and chase each other here. They all like to come here. There is a circle of artificial water around the bath. The water is blue and beautiful. There are many small fish and turtle shells. We like it here.

Very nice park. Has a small island with a playground. A few of the areas were closed, but place was still awesome. Fun for kids of all ages. Only minor issue is that there are ducks in the area, so there might be a lot of droppings at times. Park had other playgrounds, basketball and quite a few picnic benches. Nice park.

Excellent Park. Absolutely gorgeous to just walk around and plenty to keep the kids having fun for hours.

the best park to take kids. multiple playgrounds and lakes with ducks and turtles. nice place to take pictures too. only downside is there is a lot of bird poop and in some areas it makes it really smell. overall very fun though

I had such an amazing experience! This park it’s full buildings and has nice views to take pictures. It’s nice if you want to spend time with your beloved ones.

Beautiful, large, clean park! Lots of play areas including basketball courts, three playgrounds for various ages and an island that focuses on the historic events in early Boston, including Paul Revere’s ride.

Son loves to come play here!Seems like whenever we come to visit one of the play structures is always down or under construction on the little island which is a bummer!My son loves the little boat on the side and like to watch the turtles and ducks swim.Its kept extremely clean and is such a cute place for kids!

A good family venue to walk, play in the park with a sizeable pond.

Just Good Vibes! I have visited there 2 times since last 2 months. The atmosphere is so pure and peaceful. It is managed so well. Lake is so clean. If you want to enjoy a day with your family this is the place you can choose. Soul soothing exeperience!

This is a pretty park because inside of the buildings that remind you of old houses and old times there are play structures for kids to play in, some of them are closed for construction. One of the old houses has a bridge inside of it. There is a pretty waterfall and lots of ducks. I got to pet one of the ducks! There is a skate park and a tennis court. Im so glad we had time to stop by this park after going to Cerritos Library and sculpture garden. Cerritos is a nice city and a cannot miss destination.

Great place to take out your kids and family. Very clean and nice area to celebrate your kids birthday or have a family time. You must come and enjoy this wonderful park.

Loads of fun. I grew up playing here while my Dad played softball. It is amazing to be able to bring my kids here to play. There is a massive field and decent restroom for a public park. There is off limits portions on the island for maintenance but that does not lessen the experience.

Very nice unique park. Theres three small playgrounds, restroom building, basketball court, large field, small bridges, area to host party, small waterfall, cool slides, lake with fish, turtles, ducks, and geese. There was a lot of people taking pictures for wedding and quinceanera.

Lots of different wildlife for kids to see. There was ducks, geese, cranes, other little birds plus tons of turtles. Really cool slides in center area town buildings. Clean bathrooms always a plus.

Heritage Park is not the average or ordinary park. Yes, there is playground equipment, basketball courts, softball diamond, reservable picnic areas with barbecues, and restrooms, but there is also a large and uniquely themed area called Heritage Park Play Island. This area resembles a colonial era sea town complete with water features, bridges, slides, chain climbing cargo net, boat complete with cannons, and much more for kids to explore. The area is open from 10 am to dusk daily, except for Tuesdays from 2 pm until dusk. The area has lots of paths and structures to play in, so keeping an eye on the little ones can be a little challenging, but worth it. I enjoyed walking through some of the few covered bridges. Ducks, turtles, birds, and what we thought to be tadpoles, can be seen in and around the water surrounding the island. I’m happy to have a place like this around. Where kids can run around and explore, and have hours of imaginative play. It’s also a pleasantly scenic park to walk, or do a photo shoot. The well-kept landscape with trees and other vegetation, offers many different backgrounds for photo opportunities. Come check it out for yourself.

This park is so unique! Its structures, the wonderful layout of the landscape. Not to mention the grounds are kept really nice! One of the play areas was under renovation upon my visit, but it did not detract from my amazed discovery!

We went to a free concert which was really nice. The park has an island with buildings which are playgrounds. There are ducks and geese so beware if you take food. We had a duck sneak a bite of a sandwich while mom wasnt looking.

I like this park a lot because they have man made waterfalls and lake with fish, turtles, ducks, and other animals too. This park also has basketball courts, baseball, barbecue area & a playground.

Heritage Park is well known for Wedding Photos ,because the Lake has a Pretty Fountain, Ducks and Geese. In Cerritos off off Bloomfield Ave.

One of my friends told me about this park. Today we went there but the main park was closed and not sure when they will open it. There are a lot of entertaining items are there for kids around the park. Will visit again once they are open. There are many turtles and birds around the park

Wish pond water was a bit cleaner, but hey we arent touching it so I guess. As long as the ducks and turtles arent being harmed its all good. Great spacious play grounds and plenty of walking trails/space.

Very nice park, plenty of grass playing, and trees for shade, picnic tables, kids play area, baseball field. Parking lots and street parking available. Restrooms are available and were clean.The little shops were not accessible at this time, so I’d like to go back and walk through there when they re-open. Cute place

Nice park. A lot of nature there. Ducks, Segals, pigeons, geese, pelicans and turtles. Not suppose to feed the wildlife but some do. Nice rual park.

This was an amazing park! Playgrounds, open fields, fountains, ducks, fun brick houses you can walk through, and more! O highly recommend. I could totally see spending a lot of time here!

Excellent park for hiking, bringing kids to play, having a picnic, or just relaxing under the trees. There are well preserved historical buildings on the place, with slices inside. The lake is beautiful and there are turtles, fish, and dukes. The whole picture including monument and nature creates an amazing landscape. You will surely enjoy the ride with your family, having good pictures to remember.

My wife and I enjoyed a afternoon walk at heritage park ! The park has lots of activities for kids and adults . The park is definitely unique in its own way . kids have an awesome play area as far as slides , play house’s , and a jungle gym . Parents can walk along the sidewalks enjoying the scenery!The park although nice could use some TLC as far as taking out the small amounts of trash that accumulated in the River moat ! Other then that one of the more enchantment parks I’ve been to in California

This park is beautifully landscaped and the play equipment is fantastic. There are a wide variety of slides and buildings and structures to climb and play in. There are covered tables and benches to sit in the shade or have a party or picnic. The bathrooms on site are clean and well maintained and there are water fountains and lots of birds and turtles to watch.

Heritage Park is a clean and imaginative park. It includes grass areas, ponds, and buildings that are fashioned to look like an old, English-style village. There are bridges, ducks, unusual trees, and built-in slides and structures where children can play in and around the village buildings. Theres even statuary and a small ship! Fun for all and a great place to spend the day and photograph your favorite Pilgrim!
